Considering you guys don't have a GUI, I'd say you're more like IRC chat  LOL - hopefully we upgrade ourselves to Skype levels soon enough;) GUI is nothing, GUI is just for marketing, the tech is more important. CryptoNote is a good tech, multisig is a good tech, p2p anon trustless using multisig is a good tech, central mixer... it's a ok one, but not fit well into the p2p nature of crypto coin, so it's a less good tech. Though I understand it is easy to implement and many coins claiming anon using it, including DRK. Because DRK did not use the best tech, it can't be the leader of the anonymous coin, it was in leading position for some time only because of promo and hype. |

As for planned features, they are just planned for now, the same goes for the features that XMR 'is going to have in store'. look at supercoin, they implemented a trustless anonymous system using multisig, it is a decentralized peer-2-peer system. if bitcoin adopts the same, it will have a anonymous wallet.

Darkcoin is a simple centralized mixer system, nothing new. But they are good at hype and promo. The coinjoin category the best tech I see is supercoin, with pretty convincing multisig tech and detailed workflow published.

Not quite following this....so what does it do, exactly? Guarantee a floor value for each coin? Surely the coin is still volatile, as it's dependent on a single company's reserve funds?

Blackcoin was 99% instamined!!! During their 1 week distribution period, the entire money supply was almost entirely unminable by average miners, as they "rented all the hashpower" over their 1-week distribution period. They have been manipulating the trading volume and price ever since because they own 99% of the money supply. Only the fools who are lured in by charts, volume and price, but don't know the history... Now the moral is changed premine/instamine 50+% coins gets accepted by idiots, just need to make more coins to profit from idiots. |

You just keep telling yourself that as you complain that MintPal is doing the dumping. If you had any sense in economics, you would know that the more of something there is, the less it is worth. Topcoin was created to force rarity and it didn't work. I hope that one satoshi that top is worth makes you rich.
And you are slightly right about the dumping drying up. You have to have buyers to dump on and that .5 BTC volume shows nobody is interested.
I didn't complain that MintPal was doing the dumping... that was Manwe, and I even said to them that I did not think MintPal was at fault - it was just plain ol' dumping, automated or not. Thanks for your input, we'll see how things go as the advent of multipools that are geared to dump and pump progresses. In my opinion, they will wreak havoc on many coins that are still being mined, and coins with accelerated distribution methods will be sitting pretty. every price down will pump people to complain this or that, it's free market man. |
