What is the difference in receiving Syscoin in Keypair or wallet.dat? What is my best choice? Thanks for the help. Regards

Info is here. Again we will post details on how to use both methods before launch.

Which method of delivering coins should I chose? I am afraid that someone will have copy of my wallet.dat and will steal my coins and I don't know what keypar is and how to use it. Do I need an app for that?

Upon launch of Syscoin you will receive an email where you can go and download your wallet.dat they wont just send this direct over email to you - You then replace that wallet.dat with the one that's within your data folder (Once you have downloaded the Syscoin Wallet itself.

The second method (Keypair) you will have a public/private keypair combination to enter which will then give you access to your Syscoin.

Is the IPO still open? Can I buy more if Ive already bought?

It is indeed. Heating up though.

From the OP "Please walk through the form on the Moolah site a second time. You will get a new BTC address to send funds to, do NOT send the funds to the same address as the first purchase. Don't forget to include fees!"

Question
Is your blockchain stuff will work right after the launch?
And what is the expect price after the ico for 1 sys?

The features we talk about in the OP will indeed be available at launch.
As for price no idea, the markets will decide.

Why don't you guys make an online countdown like this :http://countingdownto.com/countdown/syscoin-countdown-clock#

Not a bad idea and something that is being planned alright. Just busy with other tasks atm.

Yep any exchange is free to add us but we'll be on Moolah first, and when others add us SYS can be exchanged on those markets as well.

looking solid gold over here...hey i'm in a bind, could use a helping hand!
~> is there an email address i can send you a message..it's urgent!!!
>> Thanks and personally i'm amazed by your achievements!!!
Cool    +keep up the good work!!!

Send PM to Dano or myself and we'll try our best to help you out
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - Presale Started! on: August 11, 2014, 09:55:36 PM

From the OP
Q: What do you mean when you say Moolah will be the exclusive exchange? Will Syscoin not be on other exchanges?
A: We have a partnership with Moolah and will be coordinating with them to get Syscoin on all of their platforms [including exchange] at launch as part of this partnership. This doesn't mean other exchanges can't add us. We're just working directly with Moolah in a much larger sense to try to make Syscoin's capabilities more accessible to the masses so their's will be the first exchange we are listed on.

Basically we cant and wont stop(would be impossible anyway) any exchange from adding us.

Hey everyone. Thinking of investing into Syscoin. One question, approximately how many coins will be mined in the first month?

Aprox 184320 per day as per schedule from OP.
So 30 x 184320 = 5529600

is there any word on what algo will be used? I'm hoping it's scrypt so in addition to being an investor I can add this coin to my pools at http://lifecorce.info

I think its merge mined with any scrypt coin; its in the OP anyway.

That is indeed correct.

Hi guys !
I would like to purchase some syscoins .
Please tell me , if I chose the wallet.dat delivery method , in what wallet I will be able to upload the file ?
I have to wait for official syscoin wallet release ?
Thank you !
I never used a wallet.dat before .

Info is here. Again we will post details on how to use both methods before launch.

No escrow?  Shocked

Eh what?. We use moolah for escrow, please read the OP
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - Presale Started! on: August 11, 2014, 11:44:19 AM
so let me understand something... at 500sat if the ipo sells 750btc thats 150 million sys coins , therefore if the ipo is 15% of total coins, that means sys will have 1 billion coins or more!!! how high in price you think this can go??? 1 billion sys is a lot of coins....

Have a look at the mining schedule in the OP.. New coins are release very slowly. No idea about price whatsoever.
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - Presale Started! on: August 10, 2014, 09:53:33 PM
I have invested 0.14882987 btc,so can anyone guess how much profit will I get from it?

Depends on how many people who invest a lot more sell at launch. If people hold you could see .15 to .45 (2x-4x profit). If you hold longer (weeks) you may see more. Just depends how many buyers compared to sellers there are after launch.

I think it will be more than the Regular Price: 0.00000518 . Smiley

Things are moving fast peps.. check ledger https://moolah.io/syscoin/ledger
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - Presale Started! on: August 10, 2014, 11:14:14 AM
IPO scam coin, cant believe yall are paying this dev for promises, you know what they do with promises

thanks to all these shit ipo coins lately people aint buying the '' normal coins''  no more without IPO.
show me your evidence.

show me evidence its not scamcoin...

and lemme guess, you bought ipo LOL

Let me guess, you did not read OP or checkout our website (http://syscoin.org). We use real names & escrow, nothing hidden here.

556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - Presale Started! on: August 08, 2014, 04:33:44 PM
who gets the fee in the case of the alias example?  does that fee go to the nodes supporting the network?

All fees go back to the network/miners. Unlike namecoin where the coins are destroyed.
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - Presale Started! on: August 04, 2014, 01:34:32 PM
Just a heads up, I'm not too familiar with IRC lingo...but it looks like the channel is moderated (+m flag) and therefore those without a voice can't talk (get a "Cannot send to channel" error).  Or maybe I'm just doing something wrong...but I don't see anyone else really talking in there, either, so I'm thinking I'm not the only one.

Anyway, excellent work guys, keep it up! I personally am not too worried about the dev portion of the premine, especially since the plan seems to be to make the team's addresses public. These guys are in it for the long haul.

I'll ask dan to have a look at it.
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - Presale Started! on: August 04, 2014, 01:33:53 PM
many people are probably afraid that after syscoin is released development will stop and you will just take your profits from dev premine. dont get me wrong, i like what you did here, but this is crypto and investors probably would feel much safer if they would know that devs would get their coins some time after the launch or gradualy in several batches

Well you could always hunt us down Smiley.. We use real names, see our website on http://syscoin.org

Nothing shady here
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - Presale Started! on: August 03, 2014, 11:37:34 AM

Couple of questions for the DEV team, if you would be so kind:

1.) Reference the hard wallets sent in the post - are these NEEDED to access your wallet? Or can you access your funds right away without them?

2.) An earlier post said that escrow will not be available at launch - do you have an ETA when it WILL be available? From my understanding, SYS was good to go from launch date..

Thank you

No, they are not needed. You will still get access via wallet.dat or keypairs for import (Depends on what you selected) .
Syscoin is feature complete, however we are working on escrow as an additional feature. This was not part of the original feature set and ETA is when its done Smiley. Let get the coin launched first.

The topic of "Bloating" on the blockchain has been discussed a few times, do a search onto the forum for 'Coderboo' but to also reference a post HERE can be of some reading knowledge into the topic.

Coderboo checks this topic on a daily basis - hes the primary programmer so he should be able to reference this / quote this for you shortly.
this doesn't answer anything. it basically says because its a market place, its justified that the blockchain will be massive. what does this say for long term future of syscoin? you have failed before you even started if you continue with this mindset. yous aren't bringing anything new to the table here. ebay is alerady a non anonymous market place. i fail to see what usuable and long term functional features we are buying with 1500btc. escrow however sounds great, bring something new to the table, blow us away.

i am invested myself, but i fail to see innovation, i see alot of tacky marketing tactics and flashy designs but no hard coding or evidence of progress. and with this "coderboo" being anonymous, is that the plan, he runs away with the btc and nobody knows who he is because he is anonymous and you cant reveal his name because he is a fucking NASA scientist or some shit?

In relation to coderboo please check the OP..

Just to be clear, you wont be able to insta bloat the blockchain. There are fees involved and these fees will put limits on how fast the the blockchain grows. We are looking at ways of cleaning up old expired data and this will be part of the future roadmap along with other interesting features.
