after a lot of trouble with 0.1.1 and 0.1.2 i just installed, run, and synced 0.1.3 without problems on win8 x64...

Glad to hear it.. There are still a few people reporting issues, but we are looking at these and will get them sorted asap.

If I decide to bet 0.1 BTC that this coin won't get back to 700 satoshi this year will Moolah escrow me? I am serious about this.

Betting 5 Bitcoin on top of your 0.1 BTC.

Betting 100BTC that there's one person behind most of these troll accounts.

You would lose 100BTC, a lot of shaky investors that had a lot of hope in this coin, and backed by Lord-Moolah himself put a lot of faith into the investment. I thought it was a rushed/overpriced NEM so I avoided the IPO. Dodged a bullet but really feel sorry for all those that had so much faith. Good luck everyone.

You guys can easily do this over at https://www.betmoose.com/bets - send it to the dev and have him act as the 'Yes' bet to incentivize him Wink

^^ Great idea, we have wasted a lot of time on FUD Tongue but we should have funding here in the next day once the discussion with Moolah is complete.

danosphere, snipsnoop
Why does the wallet need an administrator password for run? I hope you will fix it in the next version.
Previous version of the wallet and other my wallets run successfully without requesting administrator rights.

From exe:
Code:
  <assemblyIdentity version="2.0.2.0" processorArchitecture="X86" type="win32" name="Syscoin QT"></assemblyIdentity>
  <trustInfo xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v2">
    <security>
      <requestedPrivileges>
        <requestedExecutionLevel level="requireAdministrator" uiAccess="false"></requestedExecutionLevel>
      </requestedPrivileges>
    </security>
  </trustInfo>
</assembly>

Thank you- this is a good question. The win QT build was moved to QT5 in these latest builds and maybe in that transition the contributor missed something or this was added by accident. We will address this, test and reissue a binary ASAP.

+1 for DEV Syscoin Moolahcoin now have future,:-):-):-)

Typo.  Tongue

Syscoin is entirely independent from Moolah. They are our valued partner and we are working with them closely but we are autonomous. Wanted to clarify this point as some people were saying Moolah had taken over Syscoin- this is not the case. We are discussing long term partnerships with them involving and related to the presale BTC and will issue a statement once complete. Syscoin is going to be successful and we're both committed to seeing that through.

Notice: In the interest of current and future investors, we will be locking this thread in the next day or two and moving to a new thread with more clear information about Syscoin, its roadmap, team, how to get help, etc. This thread has just gotten too long. This will remain open for now until we have the new thread ready. We will backlink this thread from the new one for transparency. Thanks.

Now that stuff is up and running right we want to have a clean thread.

Just in case people missed this one.

We are still working on the existing issues, just needed to get over the first bumpy ones.

We cant wait to show you the real potential of Syscoin

Sorry ignore what I said about the before " Put a space in and then the command
Ok, tnx, now it synced without problems;)
But i still have to delete everything  from App folder, or else the wallet is stuck in tray.... Sad

Just a question. Did you use the installer when installing 0.1.2? And did you use 0.1.3 the installer.. In that case make sure you uninstall 0.1.2.. You might still be using 0.1.2.
I used stand alone Exe for 0.1.2. Now i am using installer. I just reinstalled  the wallet, and the problem is solved.Tnx for support;)

No worries and thanks for sticking with us during the madness.

I just tried to re-sync my wallet and get error:"CDB():cant open Database wallet.dat, error -30974" Undecided Undecided
had it too. delete appdata folder and re-download.

I deleted everything from Appdata/SYS except wallet.dat of course, but i get same error again...

version of wallet?
Oh, wait, we have 1.3 already...hmmmmm. One moment
ok, i used the new version, still  same error. What to do now? If my wallet.dat is screwed, i lost all my coin, right?

Nah.. There are a number of options.
Always keep backups ofc.

But first try to use -salvagewallet.. (Create a shortcut to wallet, right-click, Select Properties), then at the end of the target, put in -salvagewallet..
Let me know if that works for you.

For the love of..
We have not yet got any BTC..

Honestly guys, if you are just doing FUD we are not going to reply. and that is all that 99% of the posts are about..
Yes, we understand the frustration of the REAL investors, but we are working hard, very very hard to fix the issues..

The reason we have sys is because we believe in this project.

hi dano. have you got 1500btc. or not yet?

No.

394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 19, 2014, 11:06:21 PM
Getting a wallet error with ver 1.2.

MinGW Runtime Assertion

Program:c:\xxx\xxx\Syscoin-QT.exe

File: src\main.cpp, Line 4850

Expression: "mempool transaction missing input" ==0

A / R / F

Wipe out everything in the data folder except wallet.dat and syscoin.conf, re-run the exe (out of the zip file), let it sync, then after a while it either freezes or gives the above error.

Send me a PM with more details. OS. Version. debug.log etc and I'll have a look at it
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 19, 2014, 10:48:58 PM
the wallet does not work after the first install. I see many people mentioning this. I have worked around it after research but...

very fundamental user experience error

And if you have looked around you would also see that we are working on a fix along with other fixes
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 19, 2014, 08:25:19 PM
where is the dev buy support the coin is under ico price :S

Are you for real.. We are doing nothing else.
Nothing we can do about price.. We are busy fixing issues...
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 19, 2014, 06:14:53 PM
I asked earlier but didn't get an answer.

I tried to create a alias but the Qt complained error:
Error creating new alias: "Error, transaction creation failed "

Now I tried second time but still doesn't work. I've got two 1.002 transactions that are stuck. How can I cancel or remove them?

Did I do something wrong? I first made a syscoin address for receiving payments. Then I pressed the "new alias button" and I did put the alias there.

Have I understood wrong what aliases are (shortcuts for payment addresses?). There is no info of them on the OP or website.

I posted this a number of times but it might have got lost.
I suggest you use the console in the wallet for now..
We will be fixing the issues when using the wallet but it is a case of priorities atm

@DEV, I created two aliases (a and t) but I can't find them in wallet 0.1.2 , just disappeared, the tx id, is there a way to get them back?

Just in case people don't know.

Here is a list of commands and descriptions :
https://github.com/syscoin/syscoin/blob/master/COMMANDS.md

In most cases you have to call it in the following order
new then followed by activate

But do be careful, the fees are quite high initially in order to avoid attacks on the blockchain.
They will be lowered on a sliding scale over the next 90 days..

As most of these services are a first in the crypto world we need to do some price discovery and see how everything works out and if we need to adjust..

Fee schedule here :

Just finished the service fee tiers doc:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x8dv0pGyRCeT8aXIEQpgNiq0ENxJKwEO_PmZqnxJERk/edit?usp=sharing

The only thing I am not sure about is if offers aka marketplace will be priced per kb or per offer; the sheet has them priced per kb. Please take note of the scaling value of Syscoin from 1k - 1.5k satoshi and the decreasing cost in USD of the services relative to that increase in value. This shows 6months but as you can see in a few places and via the blockheights this is compressed to 90days. Open to feedback! Lmk if we got any numbers wrong but almost all formula driven (for sanity purposes, this doc alone represents many hours of work).

If you want to play around with commands :
...
..
how does one go about using the marketplace anyways.

The marketplace uses the "offer" commands. This is intended for devs to build on as business opportunities for them (of course once we iron out the smaller wallet issues listed above). Remember all services cost fees so if you want to play with these for free - use the testnet. In the console type "help" you'll see a number of "offer" commands. These commands are used to list/view/buy items on the Syscoin blockchain. If you type "offernew help" for example it will tell you how to create an offer, after which you will need to activate it before it can be purchased by others using "offeractivate".

We have a boilerplate market for devs started (https://github.com/syscoin/sysmarket) who want to start building on this- we are happy to take pull requests related to this front-end to bootstrap people and get them going. It uses the Syscoin JSON RPC and admittedly lacks documentation which we will add over this week. We're also adding more functionality to the QT wallet itself related to the market, but the QT wallet is intended to be a "reference client" so it just mirrors the daemon commands.

Guys, issues are getting fixed.. Keep calm and it will all be good..
Working on this as hard as humanly possible. A lot of things going on in the background
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 19, 2014, 05:09:11 PM
How can I create new offer in marketplace? If I'm trying to create one I got error: "Error creating new offer: This transaction requires fee of at least 0.00......".
Any tips?

You need coins to do that. Basically service fees

When I was trying to create new order I had 0.25 SYS. Wallet should informs user about insufficient funds. What's more it should also informs what is a cost of creation new offer. I'm using Windows wallet.

@DEV, I created two aliases (a and t) but I can't find them in wallet 0.1.2 , just disappeared, the tx id, is there a way to get them back?

After finding a few blocks, I cannot find anymore.. Seems like the wallet is stuck, I tried restarting it several times to no avail..

Known issue ?

There are some issues with the wallet at the moment. Pools are reporting tons of DDOS attacks and it does seem rogue blocks are being introduced into the network from whoknowwhere..

This is causing some issues with the wallets.. We are in the process of fixing this and hardening.
