Another reason why this might not be a pump and dump is that tons of people are looking for a coin that hides transactions now that the US is trying to regulate the shit out of it. Bitcoin is Napster, Cloakcoin is Kazaa or bearshare. People will switch from one network to the next. I wouldn't be shocked if at some point 1 bitcoin = 1 cloack coin, or 1 darkcoin or 1 keycoin. Before I thought people who thought that were fools. But now I give it a 5 - 10 percent possibility. A figure I've pulled directly out of my asshole.

LOL, well its a good a place to find it as all the others

Devs, I hope you're very mindful of the darkening climate out there regarding scamcoins - there seems to be intensifying outrage over the recent wave of scamcoins (DarkCrash looking the most egregious) that compelled even bittrex to propose new reforms recently.

Your execution needs to be flawless - or as close to flawless as possible. It's a climate where you need to avoid making any promises you aren't absolutely sure you can keep (also, even when it comes to the things you're absolutely sure about, leave room for positive surprises).

It's dump first and ask questions later out there. The opportunity for syscoin of course is to offer a refuge from crap that *many* people are desperately looking for right now.

To be honest, I think this has been going on for months. Sh*t/Scamcoins has been in the scene for a long time, always been amazed that people actually mine/support/buy these.
We have publicly stated what we will deliver and this will be done. Are there features that we wish we could bring to the table from launch? Yes of cause there is, but our main priority is for the features we already bring to the table to be as stable as possible. And then we can start on the feature roadmap we have mapped out. We are in this for the long haul.

How do you critisize the Shi*t/Scam coin provided by yourself,
KittenCoin
The team behind Syscoin  is the same team behind KittenCoin

Okay, this is a moderate thread so you do know we can remove screaming and shouting right?.. I have no problem with you saying the above, what I do have a problem with is that you are doing it in big fonts and colors..
Change it and I'll reply.. If not it will be moderated and removed..

How much was sold @ early bird rate?

465 BTC (nearly a third)

Does anyone know how we will be getting our coins on Aug 16th? What's the procedure? Is there a wallet we should have installed to be able to receive them?

It depends on what you picked on the https://moolah.io/syscoin website.
Keypair will allow you to import the address into your wallet. (Instructions will be posted on how to do this later)
Or wallet.dat which you will copy into the data folder for syscoin.

interesting news about mintpal acquisition by moolah and i can see quite a few possibilities of where this partnership with syscoin could take them. with that said, has there been any discussion with them around them taking an equity stake in this project?

Yes, we are pretty excited about the Moolah partnership.
As for an equity stake they are free to buy in the pre-sale in the exact same way and terms as everybody else.

On 16th August, if there is no enough pre-buyer, what's the result of the remain pre-mine sys coins? Whether the pre-buyers or the miners will share them? Thanks.

On August 15 panic buying till the presale is sold out. If that doesn't happen they will only mine the amount sold during the presale.

That is correct.
From the OP

Quote
Q: What if the presale doesn't sell out? Do buyers get the unsold Syscoin?
A: No, only what is purchased will be premined and delivered. Buyers get what they pay for.

Yeps. Think its pretty clear what that will mean for syscoin Wink

ok so no one has really answered my question, wont the blockchain be absolutely massive with all these new features. even if everyone can upload max 256kb

Because its already been answered I asked it a while back.

But the idea is that fees are paid if you use more features and not everyone will download all data.. you will have supernodes which will download and host all data and get paid fees for it. Thin clients may not need to download them if they dont need to use the service.

Also the goal is to keep growth under the growth of storage efficiency that we are seeing.. any growth under it will be acceptable long term kind of like how 1 gig was a big deal 5 yrs ago but normal now.

What about longterm... would it be technically possible to implement some system that wipes old blockchain data, say once a year. This way keeping the wallet nice and small?

Ok so you have already developed a thin wallet? Is there going to be focus on design factors wth a sleek wallet?

And final question, is the marketplace completely decentralized?  And is it possible to trace funds to ip? Or is there some kind of anonymity? Sorry for all the questions im just checking what my 15btc will get me.

EDIT: also, wth the trading if title deeds or certs, whats stopping people from just uploading a random word document and saying it's the certificate? The middle man is there to check if the document is legit, thats why we have brokers. Im sorry if some of these questions are already answered.

And do we have an ETA on the escrow system?

Thanks guys doing a good job. Would be good to see some more progress tho, it seems were seeing a load of marketing and flashy design but no real code or sample wallet.

Cheers
suchnekky

Will get back to you a little later with an answer to this, busy busy busy

Think it would take a lot more to "disappear" these days alright

Right now that's $611,000.  All it takes is 1 shady person...  IPOs have gotten such a bad reputation!  Plus, I have no BTC to invest.

Well that's the think.. With syscoin there are no shady people. Our real names are know, checkout http://syscoin.org/#team.
Moolah is well know as is the directors and people running the place.

I hope so, and I do look forward to mining this coin!!

Oh same as.. Even as a dev I'll be mining this baby (actually already have, sadly only in testnet)

1035 BTC has been sold during the regular phase.

wow

I hope for everyone who invested that we don't have to see the glitter tossing graphic!!  I'll be mining, not investing!!

Mining is not investing? Goes to show the mentality of miners around here. Its way better to buy btw check the block schedule
IT is unless you don't have BTC to spend.  I like to invest my BTC in something a bit more tangible.

Considering that tangible is a thing that is perceptible by touch, I think you picked the wrong hobby/line of work Wink

Phase 2 price is more so it is not equal justice. Why not change the price of phase 2 as same as phase1.

Nah, price stays. That was the whole point of having a Phase 1 (Early bird) Pre-sale.
We have had a number of people contact us asking if they could buy at Phase 1 prices (25 BTC investors), but as we sold out Phase 1, there is not much we can do about it.

I read that we were supposed to receive an email from moolah roughly 6 hours after investing confirming everything. I did not receive such an email. Did anyone else?

Please PM dano or send an email to support@moolah.io and they will look over the transaction numbers for you - send them any reference numbers that you may have been sent also.
