542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: December 22, 2023, 01:04:15 AM
Unbelievable performance from al hilal. I hear that al hilal has planned to add lukaku on its line up. Al hilal has prepared 60 millions offer for chelsea to get him. It will obviously make al hilal becomes even stronger than before.
Mitrovic was the most successful transfer from al hilal. It was not a problem if al hilal rejected many times by messi and it was also even terminate neymar from its club but al hilal got mitrovic which was able carrying the club alon.
I can't wait to see him to perform together with lukaku once al hilal will get him from chelsea.
Lukaku is not a loyal player type and he can move to any club that can satisfy his temporary needs. With deep pockets of Saudi Arabian clubs, they are able to bring him out of Roma and basically he only plays for Roma in a loan transfer from Chelsea.

The deal has to be made between Al Hilal and Chelsea that I believe will be easily done by Al Hilal and Chelsea. The rest is from Lukaku, will he want to move to Saudi Professional League. I think he has no big reason to refuse very good offer from Al Hilal when some star players already joined and are playing in this league. If Lukaku wins Europa League with Roma this season, he will have an opportunity to leave Europe with a big title. Surely it is not the same as Champions League but it is still one of most wanted titles for any player. If it happens, moving to Saudi Arabia and enjoying his life there is very good choice.
543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 21, 2023, 10:50:54 AM
So far, Napoli looks like a more realistic contender for 4th place, but the fact that Bologna will be able to hold on to this position for a long time looks doubtful. Inter, Juventus and Milan will most likely not miss their places in the top 4. In the next round, Napoli will have to play with Roma and if they lose, their position will worsen significantly. Atalanta and Fiorentina also do not look like those teams that are ready to fight for the Champions League zone. From 8th to 4th place the teams are separated by only 3 points, so all these teams have a chance.
Bologna just got it after winning over AS Roma in the last match day of Serie A. From Bologna to AS Roma, from fourth to eighth positions, there are only 3 point difference and there are five clubs are fighting to get that position in a next match day. They are Bologna that will have to defend the position and four other clubs: Napoli, Fiorentina, Atalanta and AS Roma.

Bologna are playing well and the position is a recognition for their good performances but with big challenges from other four clubs and with their limited power, it's very difficult for Bologna to defend that position for a long time.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best piece of advice to anyone going into bitcoin on: December 21, 2023, 02:43:24 AM
Believe it or not this is exactly what I did after I started investing in bitcoin. Well I'm not a rich person who can buy large quantities at once.
Dollar Cost Averaging is usable for everyone from small investors to big, whale, institutional investors like MicroStrategy and Michael Saylor.

You don't have to be a rich person to use DCA for your Bitcoin investment that is only a strategy and we all can apply it.

Quote
So I can only accumulate using the DCA method, which I actually only found out about recently.
Did you know two websites which are helpful for DCA?
https://dcabtc.com/
https://costavg.com/

Quote
Because previously I accumulated randomly and without good planning. Which makes me easily panic and stuff. But after I tried not to be greedy and only made small investments regularly, mentally I started to feel the benefits for myself. In the past, I easily panicked because maybe I put too much money into bitcoin investments. So sometimes I don't have enough money to meet my daily needs. And then I realized that was the wrong move.
DCA will help you to use your capital wisely and without emotional effects like panic or FOMO.

Use money to buy Bitcoin each week or each month and no other factors affect your buying decision. If you don't apply DCA, you will be uncertain in this volatile market between Fear and Greed.

545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 21, 2023, 12:51:49 AM
Woah, After Napoli also Inter is out from the Coppa Italia.

What a strange turn of events.
It is good news for Serie A because with two defeats in Coppa Italia, both Inter Milan and Napoli can focus on Champions League where they are two representatives of Serie A in a round of 16. They will not have easy matches with opponents are Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

Their sacrifice in Coppa Italia will help them in theory can play better in Champions League because they will no longer be distracted by Coppa Italia. Without matches in Coppa Italia, their players will have better fitness for coming two matches in Champions League.

Selling the best defender without a strong successor is a valid concern. A solid defense is often the backbone of successful teams, and misjudging the importance of maintaining defensive stability can have significant consequences. Defending the title feels harder, because the high expectation and anticipation are already there. It requires careful planning and strategic squad management.
It is common problem type with all non giant clubs because they are not familiar with feeling to stay on top of the league and their star players will always want to leave and join bigger clubs. They even don't have enough deep budget to satisfy more lucrative demands from their star players so usually they will lose best star players after one or two successful seasons.

If Napoli can complete this season in top four, it is their big achievement even they lose Scudetto to another club.
546  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FOMO of bull market on: December 21, 2023, 12:45:24 AM
Let me guess, the coins that do that must be a shitcoin, they are the forgotten coins that could just resurrect from now where through some artificial pumping when other major coins/tokens have had their initial rise due to the pump. It's often interesting to see some of them pumped x2, x4, x5 and so on in this regard. I saw many of them that were sluggish in movement when the bull run happened in the past 4 months.
When altcoin season comes, many shit coins will be used for pump and dump games. If you join early before their pump games, and you can hold those shit coins, you get profit. If you ignored them months ago and now only consider to join because they rose a lot and stimulate your greediness, you might end with big loss.

After pumps, there will be dumps because they are two parts of pump and dump games.

Quote
But suddenly in December, they started moving dangerously upwards. It could only mean that people abandoned them and focused on the major initially and when they were done with the major, they started looking elsewhere to pump until they got to their turn. They often pump the low-value coins/tokens at that time and that explains why some of them could suddenly move over x10 in just a few days.
They fell in last three years since 2021 to 2023 and when they started their rallies, you should never touch those shit coins and short them. Your margin position will be very easily liquidated if you open a position that is opposite with the market trend, that is upwards now. Don't short because you can not know how high they will rise to before stop and start corrections.

If you miss their pumps, stay patient, observe it and the market, don't short.

What has happened now? High transaction fee, congested Bitcoin blockchain and continuous discussion about Ordinals. Cursing the miners and what not!
It is bad enough to cry but problems appear to be fixed and I am sure Bitcoin developers can do it. Do you think without Ordinals, Bitcoin blockchain and the next bull run will be lack of interesting recipe.

Problems from Ordinals on Bitcoin mempools should not be underestimated because they are serious enough but do you think that what will happen if Bitcoin developers and community and figure out solutions and reach to a consensus to resolve it?

Moon we go.

Bitcoin miners and Ordinals guys will not like it but Bitcoin community are decentralized and I think we will see power of decentralization.

If anyone else ever says something negative about bitcoin, please put the following information and facts on the table: which institutions like Blackrock and CME and other very important exchanges are going to remove BTC ? Have warnings already been given about btc removal from central systems and exchanges somewhere?
Bitcoin is not perfect and developers have to know what Bitcoin needs to improve technical to do their programming works. Bitcoin is not perfect so you must have an open-mind to absorb negative discussions about Bitcoin but not all of them are telling the truth. However if you are close-minded, you will miss something important but I want to say about a more important thing for you, as a Bitcoin investor.

Think about long term, short term will not help you rich.

Quote
Since bitcoin is already associated with a very large capital, it must be announced prior to 2 years minimum that the removal of btc from an important exchange will begin at all.
Bitcoin marketcap in 2023 is bigger than in 2010 but it is still very smaller than Gold, silver and some giant companies.

549  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are we expecting between now and Bitcoin halving? on: December 20, 2023, 02:40:51 AM
Mate — if we know what's sure what will happen with extreme detail, we'd all be rich right now and chilling in some beach in the Bahamas. That's what makes investing easier and trading far harder — because while we can have an idea of the direction of an asset, that direction is mostly with lots of nooks and crannies.

So to answer your question: A LOT of volatility
A lot of volatility in coming months even some months after the halving, to shake all weak hands, all gamblers and speculators, who don't have enough experience in this market and who don't have good risk management for their capital, out of this market.

With those heavy elements, the market won't be able to take off around the halving and market makers will play their games to kill those investors, traders, speculators before their game actually kicks off.
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 20, 2023, 02:38:25 AM
I see Real Madrid a bit above Bayern Munich. Real Madrid has some room for improvement while they have a decent level all the time, whereas Bayern Munich has some total failures. If they have one of those in the Champions League, it would be game over for them.
Bayern Munich got Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur but they can not dominate Bundesliga like they usually do. They did not spend big transfer money to buy Kane only to win Bundesliga but fail to dominate their domestic league is one of signals that their quality has problems in this season and this can cost them in Champions League when knock out phase is already in.

Real Madrid look to have a balanced squad between attacking and defense, old and young players but the recent serious injury of David Alaba is very unexpected and it might harm their strength in coming months.

Quote
But Manchester City isn't as stable as well. They are way more vulnerable than they have been last season. This season they have played several games where they lost dominance during the game.
I still consider Manchester City as the best competitor in Champions League even they shown some issues in Premier League. They have a deepest squad that can be so helpful for them in a long season. I also know in history there is only one club that can defend their Champions League crown, Real Madrid and Manchester City will be a second club can achieve it if they succeed in this season.

552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the transaction fee will high if I send small amount under $50 on: December 19, 2023, 10:20:58 AM
If you received the $50 in 25 seperate transactions of $2 each, the fees on the transaction will be higher than someone sending $100,000 which was received in a single transaction.
At current price of Bitcoin, $2 is bigger than a minimal amount of satoshi for dust attack that is a little bit more than $0.2 now.
What is meant by Bitcoin dust
Legacy: 546 satoshi
Native Segwit: 294 satoshi
Taproot: 330 satoshi

The total input numbers are used for one transaction (Sending) will increase its transaction size, that will increase it transaction fee.

https://bitcoinops.org/en/tools/calc-size/
With Legacy address, transaction type P2WPKH, you can see different in transaction size with same output number (1), and two different input numbers (1 and 25).

1 input: transaction size is 109.5 vbytes
25 inputs: transaction size is 1741.5 vbytes

Quote
The network does not recognize dollar equivalent of bitcoins, only separate transactions which form inputs. The higher the number of inputs the larger the fee.
It's true.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 19, 2023, 03:23:01 AM
Alaba's injury is considered quite serious, with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, and he will undergo surgery in the coming days. This is an extremely heavy loss for Real Madrid as a torn ACL is the worst injury for an athlete. Alaba is expected to be out for 7-9 months, and the season is practically over for him from this December.
ACL injury sucks and Alaba is considered as Out of Season.
https://www.sportsgambler.com/injuries/football/spain-la-liga/

Quote
The absence of Alaba, I believe, will seriously affect Real Madrid's plans for the remainder of the season. He is currently the team's primary left-center back, pairing with Antonio Rudiger after Militao's long-term absence. Now, with Alaba's injury, Real Madrid has only two central defenders in the first team, Nacho and Rudiger. This is a thin squad, especially as they approach important matches in early 2024, such as facing Atletico Madrid twice in the Spanish Super Cup and playing against the league leaders Girona (February 11), not to mention the Round of 16 in the Champions League.
They have limited players for their central defender positions and with their busy schedule by playing in both Champions League and La Liga, fighting for titles in both competitions, Real Madrid will have to look at the transfer market in January to find a temporary replacement for Alaba. The replacement player can come to Real Madrid with a loan or a paid transfer but they will not want to spend too lucrative transfer fee for it and even can not convince other big clubs to let their world class central defender out.

Quote
It's likely that midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni will play as a center back in place of Alaba. Therefore, Real Madrid is likely to consider finding a replacement in the January transfer window to strengthen the defensive line.
If I am not wrong, Tchouameni is a defensive midfielder and he has never been used as a central defender.
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the transaction fee will high if I send small amount under $50 on: December 19, 2023, 03:12:51 AM
Will the transaction fee will high if I send small amount under $50
Bitcoin transaction fee is calculated with this formula

Transaction fee (sat) = Transaction size (vbyte) * fee rate (sat/vbyte)

Transaction size will depend on some factors
- Inputs and Outputs. The more inputs and the more outputs, the bigger size.
- Transaction type. You can use Segwit address for less transaction size.
Why people should be using SegWit addresses

Fee rate will depends on network, miner capacity to confirm transaction and demand of Bitcoin users that cause Bitcoin mempools are clear or congested.
You can not control it and you only can choose a fee rate that is good for you.
https://mempool.space/
https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC%20(default%20mempool),24h,weight
https://mempool.jhoenicke.de/#BTC,24h,weight

Bitcoin transaction fees - Everything in one

Bitcoin transaction fee does not depend on how big or small the value of your transaction. I mean you will have a same transaction fee for two transactions with same transaction type, same inputs, output numbers and same fee rate. Even transaction 1 has its value is $50 and transaction 2 has its value is $1M, transaction fee can be the same like $25. I think till this example, you get the answer.
555  Other / Meta / Re: An empty OP of a pinned thread in Archival? on: December 19, 2023, 03:04:37 AM
I don't have that authority. It's clear enough, you didn't have to ask. If I had the authority to do so, I would have already unsticked this topic. But this topic is still a stickied. This is the prerogative of global moderators and administrators.
If it can be coded, it's better because if a sticky thread is moved from any board to Archival board, practically it no longer has a meaning of a sticky thread. It is no longer important to be pinned.

I don't know it can be considered as a bug.

I've been reporting some of these threads to a moderator, but it seems the administration thinks this is ok and still useful for the community. If only the title remained so that it is known what the discussion is about, but it is completely confusing like this and I doubt that it will be useful to anyone in this status, but the moderators know better about it.
I appreciated your reports. That OP-emptied sticky thread in Archival was unsticked maybe because of your helpful reports or global moderators, admins see this thread.

I lock this thread now. Thank you all for your inputs and admins or global moderators who handled this.
556  Other / Meta / Re: An empty OP of a pinned thread in Archival? on: December 18, 2023, 05:38:18 AM
And I agree since this topic is pinned it looks strange/ugly and you can’t even click or open the thread unless you click last post option on the right
That thread has no title, you can not click on title to see it like other threads but you can click on New (that appears beside topic title) to see it.

Quote
But why it’s pinned this is a valid question which moderator or admins should answer.
This is actually weird and is a reason I created this topic to ask for unpin that thread.

No issue if it is a trash thread in Archival but a thread with empty OP is pinned is not good visually.
557  Other / Meta / An empty OP of a pinned thread in Archival? on: December 18, 2023, 02:22:58 AM
In Archival board, I saw a pinned thread with no title, no content. I knew the title is "Review кaмпaнии зa Bitcoin" from two replies in that thread, and knew that the content in OP was removed.

But it sucks to see that thread pinned even it an Archival board.

I don't know why that thread was in Archival and why it was pinned but I think the thread must be trashed.
558  Other / Meta / Re: I think it's possible to keep going without banning mixers on: December 18, 2023, 02:18:33 AM
My concern about Censorship is more about the ban on Mixers becoming a precedent.  I get the reasons theymos would fear repercussions.  His life, freedom and Bitcoin Talk s existence.
theymos has its own life to care about.

His decision and this big call actually are not for only his own life but also for future of Bitcoin Talk forum too. He knew what kind of big risks might come, knock his door and the forum might have issues which I believe none of us want to see.

theymos got a subpoena from US. government because of Silk Road and he had experience with legal issue and I believe he was not fearful if he did not see something big is coming. This proactively preventive solution is good for him, forum and its members including us too.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 18, 2023, 01:33:10 AM
The 2 points dropped by Juventus this round when they played in front of Genoa were expensive and allowed Inter to get these 4 points advantage.
The other top teams also advanced in the ranking this round except Roma that allowed Bologna, Napoli and Fiorentina to jump above them in the ranking after losing their match against Bologna itself..
This is a bad match for Juventus and they could do it better and losing 2 points in a not too big match this way is very harmful for their chance to compete for Scudetto with Inter Milan.

The stats shows that Juventus actually have problems with their attacking and they can win minimally but this is dangerous in matches they fail to score even one goal for getting three points. Chiesea is back but Vlahovic lost his best form already.

It's now extra time and it's true that with 10 men and with Inter's strength not weakening in the slightest it's going to be difficult for Lazio and they'll have to drop points at home this week.

Inter are still superior and with the result they received in this match, they are still very comfortable with a 4 point difference from Juventus who are in second place. In addition, Lautaro also further distanced himself from the top scorer competition this season because with the 1 goal he scored in this match, he was away from the pursuit of other players in the top score.

The difference of 6 points is now too much, especially when his rival is Sassuolo players Berrardi. But the good thing this season is that some of the top scoring candidates this season are dominated by Inter and Milan players Cheesy
This season seems to be a season for Lautaro Martinez as he is actually on fire in Serie A. He was a key attacking player of Inter Milan recent seasons but this is a best one he has for Inter Milan. Inter Milan also get benefit from a surprising performance of Marcus Thuram who successfully replaces Romelu Lukaku.

In the best scorer race, Lautaro has good gaps with other scorers on the sheet and Berradi is not a type of too goal productive players so in a long run, I believe he will not be able to compete with Lautaro. Giroud is too old already and it's hard to think he can win over Lautaro.
560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 18, 2023, 01:26:28 AM
No goal was happening during the match and this is very disappointed result for me to be honest. Liverpool has got everything needed to win against manchester united started from the ball possession combined with the total goal attempts.
This is very bad result for liverpool. I thought that liverpool would score like the last season but i was wrong. Liverpool was missing an opportunity to win against manchester united. Liverpool looked like a strong club but MU was using everything to defense from any attack by liverpool.
Liverpool totally dominated the match and they wasted so many opportunities to beat Manchester United. Klopp was right, as he said before the match, such big win like the past season, won't occur too often. He was right about that but this draw is certainly a disappointed result for him and Liverpool, they did wanted to win it to continue a title race.

Manchester United were very luckily to get one point from Liverpool and their midfield and attacking systems look very useless in this match. Only defense efforts and luckiness helped them to get one point.

Mark my words.

This will the last year of Guardiola at Manchester City-

He will take a break after imho.
Pep is smart and if we see a down performance of Manchester City, Pep understands about his squad better than us. He is like Zidane, will take a break after a massive success and will not want to take risk to damage his career and previous success.

He has one advantage to leave, his contract will be expired after this season and it pluses with current issues, down performances of Manchester City, he has no reason to stay in the club.
