1381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has a bad reputation (we should fix it) on: April 09, 2023, 01:59:31 AM
I've been thinking a lot about Bitcoin adoption lately and I think that adoption is still pretty slow partly because of the Bitcoin reputation. Despite it being a progressive technology of the future, a lot of people still think that it's a joke.

So there is different opinion among people about Bitcoin. Some people consider Bitcoin as "criminal money" because it's often used on the dark web and helps criminals to get away with selling drugs and stuff.
People are free with their minds and they can think Bitcoin is either a joke, a fraud or a virtual thing. You don't need to convince anyone that Bitcoin is a good thing with good reputation. It was not created to be used for criminal activities including dark markets and money laundering so it is not related to bad reputation caused by those activities.

Is Alfred Nobel related to many deaths in the Russia invasion to Ukraine and Russia - Ukraine war? He is not responsible for it and you know who is responsible for it.

He has patent for dynamite but he is not responsible for people who used it to kill others, in wars and invasions.
Quote
Nobel's most famous invention was dynamite, a safer and easier means of harnessing the explosive power of nitroglycerin; it was patented in 1867.

There are also people who think that Bitcoin is a bubble that will explode and lose its value, so they don't trust it.
Tell them about bubbles and collapses from banks. Bitcoin is not dead but many banks were dead.

Juventus main problem in their last few matches is obviously about scoring goals. Their strikers seems to be in their unproductive time, starting from Vlahovic, Milic, and Kean, they did not show something special this year. I'm not really sure what is wrong but maybe line ups combination made by Allegri is not really working well. Juventus own many talented and star players but they cant play with their best.
Juventus have one of best attacking systems in Serie A if we look at total goals they have scored so far in Serie A. Their defense system has more problems than their attacking system.

With a defeat under Lazio, a dream to join top four for Juventus is mostly over. They don't need to catch Lazio on the table but they must avoid to have bigger gap with other clubs like AS Roma, AC Milan and now the gaps are bigger. With 9 matches left and 8 points less than AC Milan (4th position), 9 points less than AS Roma (3rd position), and those clubs have same total matches, Juventus must be more realistic with their target. A position to join Europa League next season is a best they can do in Serie A.

Of course they still have Europa League to fight and if they win it, they will be qualified for Champions League.
1383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Factors That Determine Prices of bitcoin on: April 08, 2023, 08:07:55 AM
Supply and demand principle makes sense but it is not enough. Bitcoin market is finite and it can be easily manipulated with volume shocks. When market has big forced liquidation, price will move up or down a lot. That is a time when Supply and demand principle does not correct.

About circulating supply, you can not know it exactly and you can not calculate and know how many bitcoins were lost forever to subtract the amount from circulating supply. It is a challenging math and can not be solved exactly.

In long term, Supply and Demand principle is important for this market as with only 21M bitcoins in total supply plus its increasing adoption then bigger demand, price must move up. New capital pours into Bitcoin market will naturally lift Bitcoin up.

there is no doubt that Manchester united will be the underdogs in the game against Everton at Old Trafford Stadium. Maybe Everton always surprises their opponents when Everton plays as the host. but when they play at home then I don't think much can be expected from Everton. Moreover, the opponent they will face is Manchester United, which is certainly superior in all aspects compared to Everton. yeah I will also favor Manchester United without a doubt for this fight.
Do you know what you wrote?

Manchester United are stronger than Everton, have better position than Everton and have better quality players than Everton. Lastly, they will host that match at their home stadium. How did you say Manchester City will be an underdog in the match?

If there is an underdog, should it be Everton?

Everton did try to escape from the relegation zone and their position now is not safe. With 27 points, they have same total points of West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and only have 2 and 4 points more than Leicester City and Southampton at bottom of table. I don't see chance for Everton at Old Trafford as they will have to face with a club that has full reasons to win it. Manchester United must beat Everton if they don't want to be kicked out of top four.

I have a close friend who recently purchased 0.8 Bitcoins and when we met he was happy and was like " I am now a Bitcoin investor"
It is a start of story and to become a Bitcoin investor, your friend need to go through more things which are challenging.

Quote
At that point I go this question in mind ;what does it really take to become a Bitcoin investor .does it mean that if you own a considerable amount of Bitcoin in your wallet you are now a Bitcoin investor or there is more to it aside having a basic knowledge of crypto currencies
To actually become a Bitcoin investor, you must have enough knowledge about basics of Bitcoin, how to store your bitcoin safely in what wallet, how to check transactions in your wallet or on block explorers to not panic when you move your bitcoin and it does not go to receiving address.

You must experience market bull and bear as well as fud. After all, if you still hold your bitcoins, still have belief in bitcoin, you are actual Bitcoin investor.

THAT'S WHAT CENTRAL MARGINS ASK ME TO PAY.... MY COLD WALLET IS EXODUS. i HAD PUT NEAR 70K OF MY MONEY... Cry

retrieving what, could you elaborate your situation more, please?

Bitcoin transactions are irreversible and if you made a mistake transaction to a wrong receiving address, when it is confirmed by miners on the network, it is done on Bitcoin blockchain and can not be reverted. So it is no chance for you or anyone to retrieve those coins for you.

It is not related to Bitcoin tx accelerator so your question is confusing.

If your problem is your transaction is stucked in mempool because you use low fee rate, you can use tx accelerator or you can bump the fee by using RBF opt-in and Bump the fee option in your wallet.

Use this free tx accelerator: https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

It's still one of the top coins and I think its community is sticking to it because of its development.
Top coins in cryptocurrency market are not forever. They can be top coins then become non top coins years later.

Cryptocurrency Historical Data Snapshot. Many top altcoins in 2013 now no longer actively developed and can be considred as dead altcoins.

But one thing for you to follow is to read their not so active announcement thread: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More

You can back read some of the discussions there but it's not that active at all unlike the other top altcoins like ETH that has a lot of posts into its thread.
Many altcoin projects abandoned Bitcoin talk and moved to build and be actively on their own forums.

Cardano has its own forum for

$ADA did made a x20 growth in the last bull run and from today price $0.38 to its latest all time high, you will have good profit.

Lazio vs Juventus will be a tight match. Both teams perform very well currently. Although Lazio is in 2nd place, I don't think that Lazio is better than Juventus. Juventus is just unlucky because he got a problem, so they lose many points. But if we consider the squad quality, I think Juventus squad is much better than Lazio squad. I really expect that Juventus to win this match, they have good motivation to return to top 5.
Juventus have second best form in Serie A after World Cup 2022 and only Napoli have better form than Juventus in latest months. With that outstanding form, Juventus recovered from 15 points deduction and gradually climbed up. Now they are very closely to top four and I don't think about Juventus chance to catch Lazio on the table. A more realistic target for Juventus is catch a club at the fourth position, AC Milan. In fact AC Milan, Inter Milan and AS Roma all have 50 points.

Quote
If they win this match, I assume they may return to top 5 at the end of the season.
Beating Lazio will help Juventus at least maintain 6 points gap to those clubs and if luckily enough, they can reduce gaps with one of those clubs. Top 5 is not a favorite target of Juventus at the end of season.
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 06, 2023, 01:22:36 AM
Seem yes, I feel like Manchester City Deja Vu when look Newcastle's performance for this session. After being bought by Arabian Millioners, Newcastle transformed into a club worth reckoning with the bigger club. Their squad is not too special like Liverpool and other clubs, but the strategy is the same when playing on the field.
Newcastle United have faster success than Chelsea and Manchester City as those clubs have to spend a few years before participating in top four then becoming biggest candidates for Premier League trophy.

Newcastle United surprisingly only had ownership change in middle of the past season but they quickly jumped to top four of Premier League in this season and they held the third position many weeks before losing it to Manchester United. Anyway, they just reclaimed after a direct win over Manchester United last weekend.

Quote
I am really sure the key player like Miguel Almiron, Bruno Guimaraes, Fabian Schar and Nick Pope could will be more expensive if can bring Newcastle on the Champions League zone after this session.
Fair to say, because of success with Newcastle United, Bruno Guimaraes was given a spot in Brazil national squad to play in World Cup 2022.

I was thinking in another way I would like to know what you think of the decentralization of the network with POS and POW because it is very clear that both have +1 points one is power efficient and the other is efficient in terms of security. Regarding the new switch we are talking about can you please elaborate on DPOS and Hybrid POw/POs are kind of such things which I have gone through theoretically but I am not sure where these machines are implemented. For Dpos I think EOS is based on DPOS.
Proof of Work is better than Proof of Stake as it requires physical resources to create new coins into circulating supply. With Proof of Stake, you can create new coins or tokens by investing in a node (Masternode, Supernode, Security Node, etc.) or amount of some coins or tokens and stake yours on network to earn staking rewards. It can be hacked, exploited to vote new Proposal. This algorithm makes such networks based on it is less secured and more vulnerable to exploitation.

The hybrid model PoW/ PoS is not new but we need to see it on big altcoins to know how good or bad it is in reality and on big main nets.
1392  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Before You Go All In on: April 05, 2023, 02:24:15 AM
It is true that this is what actually happened to me, when I entered trading with all the capital I bought more than one coin but the prices started to fall and I no longer had enough money to consolidate and I had no other resource than the capital so I had to abandon some deals at a loss so that I could continue.
Don't have money to dollar cost averaging is bad but it is not the worst. The worst is if you go all in with your investment like invest in cryptocurrency and don't reserve any money for your life, you will repeat this style with your investment in cryptocurrency. By go all in with one coin that can be either Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, Dogecoin or any shit token is shilled as hidden gem.

Quote
As for now, I enter with a small part of the capital and I have a resource sufficient for reinforcement in the event of a price drop (I can add a new amount of capital every week through my work), so I no longer have to sell at a loss when the price drops, but rather I strengthen every time and so I get the opportunity to buy Good price areas.
Always be skeptical with the market and reserve part of your money for DCA and other things. You won't have to time in market, find bottoms and always have money to use in emergencies without have to forced sell your cryptocurrency at lower prices than your entries.
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 04, 2023, 10:25:47 AM
Correct. at least Napoli really have to have another best attacking player who can replace Osimhen when Osimhen is absent. because Napoli can't just rely on Osimhen forever. even I think it's not certain that Osimhen will continue to stay at Napoli after his contract ends. because right now many big teams are eyeing and wanting Osimhen.
In the past season, Napoli learned a hard lesson with an injury and long absence of Osimhen. In the latest summer transfer, they tried to prepare for it better by buying Giovani Simeone who had some good matches as substitution after Osimhem was sent out. However, the striker failed to officially replace Osimhen in a debut squad. Maybe he does not match with that position but I can understand it as in Genoa, Giovani did not achieve a solid position.

Quote
yeah I also expect a more exciting match for the Napoli vs Milan match in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals later.
That match would be exciting and more exciting if Osimhen can be available to play. AC Milan did got big motivational booster after a shocked big win in Naples. I don't think Napoli will start a first leg quarter final match with fearful mind but they would be more careful with AC Milan. They have never come closely to Champions League semi final and chance to win it before. It is a season for Napoli to make history and they must be very careful with a few matches left in Champions League. First they must play well in two matches with AC Milan to continue their dream.
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 04, 2023, 08:24:15 AM
Tonight we are again having a great game in Serie A,it is what they call "the derby of Italy" as we will watch a beautiful game tonight Juventus vs Inter
This time this derby is more important for both clubs. Inter Milan need to win to not fall beyond top four and Juventus need to win it reduce a direct gap with Inter Milan and can wait for slippery performances from other clubs like AC Milan, AS Roma and Atalanta.

Quote
Normally we will see it in other conditions now as neither of the teams is fighting for the title however I think this will be a great test for each team for their European campaigns which they are still playing there,Inter in Champions and Juventus in Europa League. In this game though based on their last one Inter vs Juventus where Juventus won 0-1 I predict the same,a victory for Juventus here but maybe we will see more goals and a both teams to score game.
Conditions of two clubs are skewed into Juventus with super form in latest weeks while Inter Milan have very poor performance last few weeks. I do think about another win for Juventus and they can see top four nearly with 5, 4 or even just 3 points after this derby.

Above Juventus, Atalanta with 4 points more than Juventus is another risk for Inter Milan and another barrier for Juventus but they must focus on this important derby Italy first.

Napoli's performance against AC Milan surprised everyone. Because Napoli was in very good form. AC Milan's performance on the other hand was completely erratic. I wouldn't be surprised if Napoli lost 2-1 - or 1-0 - against Milan. Napoli lost this match 4-0.
Napoli could not beat AC Milan or even lose the match but have a big loss is very surprising. The direct argument between Napoli coach Spaletti and AC Milan director Paolo Maldini shows that Spaletti did not plan to have that big loss. It happened before the second half when Napoli just lost 2 goals but at the end they lost with 4 conceded goals.

Quote
Despite a very strong defense, Napoli conceded four goals. If AC Milan can produce such a performance in the Champions League, they can beat Napoli again. But I don't think we'll see a repeat of this. I don't think Napoli will make any mistakes in the Champions League. We will see the dominance of Napoli in the Champions League match. And Napoli will beat AC Milan by a big margin.
Their defense in the match is simply terrible, not very strong. It is a very abnormal performance from Napoli defensive system and they gave Saelemaeker at least two chances to dribble through most of their players. One of two situations is a goal for him and surely it is not good defense from Napoli.
1395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: April 04, 2023, 08:06:10 AM
I'm not saying that Sevilla is strong. Even compared to Manchester United, the Sevilla team is very weak.
They have big difference in their domestic leagues which nobody can deny it but it is not a same big difference in Europa League.

Quote
Sevilla's performance in both La Liga and Europa League is very poor. However, the Sevilla team is very experienced in the Europa League platform. As I mentioned in the previous post, Sevilla won the match against Fenerbahçe with excellent tactics. Sevilla won both of their matches at Fenerbahçe despite poor performances. And it's no surprise that the same thing happened against Manchester United. Also, Manchester United is performing somewhat erratically right now. Their performance in the last three matches has been poor. A win against Sevilla won't be easy if Ten Hag can't stabilize the team.
They both went to quarter finals of Europa League and honestly a few weeks before their first match in quarter final stage, Manchester United lost their good streak and started to lose their position in Premier League. From vague hope to chase Manchester City and Arsenal to face with risk to be beaten out of top four by Newcastle United and Tottenham.

Now they will have another risk when facing against Sevilla in Europa League where Sevilla are simply King with six titles won in their history. Recent weeks, Sevilla have good improvement in La Liga and they have actually become a stronger opponent for Manchester United with that rising form.
1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A crypto world without CEXs...How would it be? on: April 04, 2023, 03:04:47 AM
Centralized exchanges are one of the biggest contributors to the cryptocurrency market. But without centralized exchanges, crypto trading would be decentralized, which could have several implications for the industry. For trading and investing in cryptocurrencies, the ecosystem will become more experimental and possibly more flexible.
Total trading volume on centralized exchanges is bigger than total trading volume on decentralized exchanges. However, they won't kill each other but will exist together. People will move their funds from CEXs to DEXs and with fear of losing money on CEXs by blackswan events, they always have reasons to keep part of their funds on self-custodial wallets which are available to use anytime on DEXs.

Well we would lose those institutional investors we wanted to get in for so long. At your scenario there wouldn't be instant ban, as laws don't move as quickly we would have some time to prepare. But that prepariing would most likely be massive panic and people would try to escape out before fiat pairs would be banned.
The USA. tries to restricts as much as possible against cryptocurrency companies, banks support cryptocurrencies as they are reviving Operation Choke Point after its previous failure enforcement in Obama time.

I don't believe US. congress and US. citizens will allow their government to ban cryptocurrency completely. That is a free nation and the voice of their citizens has its power.

Institutional investors/VCs are the ones keeping the crypto market afloat. Without CEXs, they will simply go away. This means that most of the money being poured into crypto assets right now, will vanish in an instant.
The cryptocurrency market is still young and very small (in its total marketcap) compares to traditional markets. I am sure if no serious regulations like you imagined happen, more institutional investors will join this market. Their new capital flow pours into this market will help it soars a lot in future.
1397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 04, 2023, 02:55:14 AM
Real Madrid have a better chance of winning the UCL than the La Liga title. Barcelona will not leave the league after this stage. Considering the difference in points, they have a huge advantage. I didn't think it could happen this year. I thought Real Madrid would win the league again, but Barcelona showed great performance.  Obviously, they took on a different identity with Xavi.
I agree with you that Barcelona will not self destroy their big gap with Real Madrid and reward the title in their hands to Real Madrid within last several matches in La Liga. They also have good form that does not make me to think it's possible to see they suddenly turn over completely from super good to super bad form which is a condition for Real Madrid to catch Barcelona.

Could you stop quote many posts like this? Let's quote a post you reply on to keep your post cleaner.

He is still sharp like before, and with this brace, Lewa is still showing his performance like he played on Bundesliga. And we know with his age, we doubt he can't do and create the same achievement, and all those assumptions have faded with 17 goals. Before starting. I guessed that Benzema is a person who is decisive in the Liga, but he turned out to be no better than Lewa. the reality is a Benzema light has faded by the old player.
Lewandowski can be next Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo who can play well after their 35s and at highest level in Europe. Lewandowski actually receives good support from his young team mates and since the past season, Barcelona bought some good swing backs who can provide more cross passes to Lewandowski who is sensitive with space and chance in the box.
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A crypto world without CEXs...How would it be? on: April 03, 2023, 05:27:42 AM
If major countries around the world decide to reject crypto/Blockchain tech sometime in the future, there's a high probability CEXs (centralized exchanges) will cease to exist. They will shut down their operations as crypto is declared "illegal" for mainstream use. Without an on/off ramp to/from the Fiat and crypto worlds, I wonder how would the industry survive?
The world has black and white, right and wrong, legal and illegal activities and all of them are parts of the world. You can not have black without white, right without wrong and so on. I believe legal and illegal activities will continue to exist in societies and no government can ban all illegal things, prevent such occur in their nations completely.

Quote
Will a world without CEXs mark the end of crypto?
If governments allow gambling, they will allow CEX but maybe with more conditions to have license for CEX operations.

Quote
I know crypto is decentralized, but the truth is that CEXs provide most of the liquidity of the market. DEXs are "second-hand" options that have their own set of issues. Either mainstream adoption for crypto/Blockchain tech starts to decline, or all the other way around. We've seen how exchanges have been "closing up shop" in the US due to strict regulations. What makes you think other countries will tighten regulations especially when they claim crypto can be used to avoid sanctions
CEXs and DEXs give us more options in cryptocurrency market but not all of us only use CEX or only use DEX. Most of us use CEXs and DEXs in trading and this fact and demand from users provide opportunities for both exchange types to exist in future.
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 03, 2023, 05:20:27 AM
Spalletti already admitted that if osimhen's absent was not the main problem that was making napoli lose against ac milan. I have the same thought like him too. Napoli's defenders are giving so many free space.
Just like the first goal that already made by ac milan. Napoli's defenders were not using all of these the efforts to prevent the ball.
Their whole team played like they didn't have enough energy for the match and were not ready for it. They gave AC Milan players space to show their dribbles, shots very easily and in a good day, AC Milan converted most of given chances to goals.

Anyone think that Napoli planned for this defeat to make AC Milan less careful in Champions League quarter final next 10 days?

With this big win, AC Milan gain two effects for Champions League match. First, they surely become more confident about themselves that they are strong enough to beat Napoli. Second, I don't know but probably AC Milan will become less careful for preparation in Champions League. If it is what they will do, they will be caught by Napoli and Spaletti. However I can not step in shoes of Napoli to know their plans and why they played like this.

This big win of AC Milan indirectly put Inter Milan to a risk of falling beyond top four. As of now, they have same points as AS Roma and behind them, Atalanta and Juventus are closely enough.
1400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: April 03, 2023, 03:47:17 AM
Ronaldo transferred to the Saudi league at the age of 38. Messi's age is only 35 years old. We'll see what Messi will do after playing football for 3 more years. Maybe he won't even play football for 3 more years.
Messi are able to play many more years if he won't get an injury which can terminate his career immediately like Marco van Basten got with his ankle injury. With skills Messi has, he can even play longer than Cristiano Ronaldo (without serious injury is a condition) but when he gets older, he will run less, walk more on the field. However he has good vision and passing skills to walk, stay around the middle circle and pass the ball to his team-mates. I hope I have a good imagination on how Messi will play in next seasons.

Quote
That's why we have to use the right parameters when comparing these two star football players. Messi may leave football there after returning to Barcelona and playing there for several years. At the end of last season, Ronaldo could have done the same at Manchester United. However, Ronaldo wanted to play for a few more years and so he chose Al-Nassr, one of the best alternatives at the table.
Those players both have big love for football and they won't end their career when they are still able to play it and find happiness with football. They can earn lot of money with football too so why should they end their career too soon when their bodies allow them to continue it?

Not 8, but 9 games remaining until the end of this season for Al Ittihad and Al Nassr. but yes, the hunt for a trophy this season is still wide open for these two teams. because after all, the difference is 1 point with 9 matches remaining, making the competition from these two teams feel very competitive. and if, one of these two teams slips in future matches. automatically, providing an opportunity to shift the top of the standings, or widen the points of the team below it. What is certain, these two teams will be more focused in every game after game.
The difference is small (only 1 point) and I believe Cristiano Ronaldo will boost his team-mates to play better in last remaining 9 matches and take the trophy of Saudi Professional League. He will not want to fail in this race even it is not a big league, not a big title but Ronaldo is a player who always hunts trophies if he can.
