De acuerdo. Creo que Bitcoin debe combinarse con las herramientas de interconexión social distribuida, como https://www.diasporafoundation.org/

Ya aceptan B https://www.diasporafoundation.org/donate#bitcoin.

Just completed a successful trade with imanikin. Very courteous and prompt trader. Highly recommended for those looking to buy BTC with GM.

Thanks imanikin!  Grin

Thank you, Landstander!  Cool

Landstander is a very considerate and trustworthy trading partner! Would definitely trade again!
543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Paypal is a b*tch. on: July 26, 2011, 11:58:59 AM

As soon as all my latest receipts cleared to my bank, i finally closed my PayPal account!  No explanations or responses to their surveys! It's time to move on! Cool

There was no sure way they cold have connected me to Bitcoin involvement.

If you are for "free markets," don't be PayPal's b*tchboys!

Vote with your feet and money against the entities that try to put the screws to you out of simple, unlimited greed!  Wink
544  Other / Off-topic / Re: Greece is in economic crisis! on: July 24, 2011, 04:18:01 PM
I don't understand why the police fight for a government that is failing. not only that, the police are paid to "protect and serve" at least in the US, so far i have never seen or herd of a case where when it mattered most, the police did that.

They are paid "To Serve and Protect" the ruling upper class, their hierarchy and social order against the majority.  Cheesy That's the class that has the money to pay the police!

The dwellers of poor neighborhoods, where the police spend most of their time and effort, don't pay enough taxes to sustain the police.

So the police are really in those neighborhoods to protect the tax-paying citizens of the wealthy neighborhoods from the inhabitants of the poor neighborhoods...  Cheesy

It's that way in every country i've ever visited...  Cool
545  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: IBB - Islamic Bank of Bitcoin (80.30 BTC ) بنك بتكوين الاسلامي on: July 24, 2011, 03:02:56 PM

There is no islamic law being applied to any investor. I gave links for some info on first page. If you got a specific question please ask, here are some links to help you:-

http://www.islamic-banking.com/islamic_banking_principle.aspx

Thanks.  Smiley I wasn't talking about investors; i was talking about the entity collecting the investment money - You.

If the investors don't know who senbonzakura is in-real-life or where to even look for you, how do they know that you will not just collect their money and leave with it the way that Nerd did?  Smiley

Would you or one of your associates be willing to present your project on the Bitcoin Show on OnlyOneTV, the way that several other Bitcoin projects have?

I am ready to risk a few coins in such worthy projects, but i and probably many others would need to know at least a tiny amount of credible information about who is behind a given endeavor. ...and that it's not Nerd again under a different username...  Cheesy Cheesy
546  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: IBB - Islamic Bank of Bitcoin (80.30 BTC ) بنك بتكوين الاسلامي on: July 24, 2011, 01:05:36 PM

Serious respect to the IBB concept! Definitely seems like a most worthy investment!

Sorry if i overlooked it somewhere in this thread: will there be disclosure who is senbonzakura?

In the Russian sector earlier in the Bitcoin history, we had an "investment group" headed by the forum user "Nerd", who solicited Bitcoin investment capital, and then simply absconded with it...

The Shariah Law, or any other law cannot be applied to someone for whom there isn't even any clue where to search, or any idea who he is...  Wink

What are Your thoughts on this as investors?

Peace.  Smiley

547  Other / Off-topic / Re: Greece is in economic crisis! on: July 22, 2011, 09:35:03 AM
quick someone tell them they can be free if they all use bitcoin.   Oh wait, that means their fiat pensions will collapse.  Nevermind.

The young Greeks throwing rocks at the police aren't getting their fiat pension anyway - same as the young people all over the world. We older people already ate their lunch...  Embarrassed

They might as well go into B and the like...  Wink
548  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: POLL: What name would you give to the smallest unit of bitcoin (0.00000001)? on: July 21, 2011, 04:38:41 PM

Please a real real poll to this thread with the options already given, where people can vote and everyone can see what the leading choice is...  Smiley
549  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMarket.Eu - now supports: Dwolla, Moneybookers; new currencies: ZAR, CAD! on: July 21, 2011, 04:21:20 PM

So, in view of the latest developments, seems like it's time for BitMarket to institute some kind of a 2-factor authentication also.  Cool

I would prefer a 1-time code via sms. Does BitMarket have plans for that?

As always, thank you very much for your great service!  Smiley
550  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the Best Trading Exchange for you: Mt Gox, TH, or CampBX? on: July 20, 2011, 02:06:55 AM
bitmarket.eu

+1 For people who are not professional traders or speculators, Bitmarket.eu is the best in my experience.  Cool

On MagictheGatheringOnlineXchange,  Roll Eyes i think that team Pump&Dump doesn't even try to disguise their activities anymore...  Wink

No entity has done more to damage Bitcoin's public image than MtG and its kindergarten security, which was obvious way back when the St. Petersburg guys attacked it months ago...

What seems most lame to me is that after all the damage so much of the "community" is still willing to pay its owners to trade there, and the traders at other exchanges just mirror MtG rates, rather than discover based on their exchanges' conditions...

Of the 3 in the subject, i would only use TH now, and only until the trading teams get established there. CampBX is out for me because it has a dark pool. We've already beaten that subject to death in other threads...  I am sure the pump&dumpers, and dark-pool free-market hypocrites will have a great time there, once it gets more volume... Cheesy

Fortunately, with Bitmarket.eu, OTC, and plenty of honest people in the forum, there is no shortage of places for the mainstream to trade now outside of the shark pools...  Cheesy

551  Other / Off-topic / Re: no-interest banks on: July 19, 2011, 02:29:12 PM
...i emailed JAK. Unbelievably, their response was:

Quote
Hello!

I´m sorry to say but I have never heard about Bitcoin.

Vänliga hälsningar

552  Other / Off-topic / [Poll] no-interest banks such as JAK on: July 19, 2011, 10:39:02 AM
Has anyone here ever dealt with JAK Bank?  Cool

Here is a video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aW2pj109Cr8

Seems like a really cool way to bank, and Bitcoin would be useful to it...  Undecided

Would someone who knows Swedish please inquire regarding JAK's view on B? Smiley

Are there other such banks, besides the Islamic Banking institutions?
553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Dollar maybe shit aug 2nd GO BITCOIN watch video on: July 17, 2011, 08:53:28 PM

Where was that thread with the Economics majors in it?

It was about how in case of US default on its treasury bonds the USD would actually go very high in value for a while, before it goes down... Undecided
554  Economy / Economics / Re: low price because of repeated large sells on: July 17, 2011, 06:15:18 PM

I also think it's good in the long term that the price is going down. The late arrivals were complaining that the price was bubbled, too high, and unaffordable to the mainstream...

Well, here you go, maybe it will drop to the more affordable early-adopter levels again - USD parity or whatever...  Cheesy

B worked just as well at 33 US cents, for everyone except short-term speculators... Wink

555  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Bitcoin <--> GoldMoney on: July 16, 2011, 01:25:55 PM
Look forward to any future business with this trustworthy trading partner! Thank you!  Smiley

The same goes for imanikin. Fast and smooth. Looking forward to future trades.

Another great deal successfully completed with flix! Highly recommended trading partner! Thank you very much, flix!  Smiley
556  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Violating the U.S. Law on: July 15, 2011, 05:55:15 PM
MeSarah was complaining about the pron that was posted a couple pages AFTER the tattoo pictures, which was removed shortly after this thread was started.  She's not complaining about the tattoo pictures.

For complaining, we have a "Report to Moderator" link in every post for such things...  Wink

This OP was the usual case of threatening the citizens of "the rest of the world" with the credit-card-bought power of the US.gov and its Law...

Fortunately, the credit card is finally getting maxed out, and about to go over the limit. So, "the US Law" will matter less and less to the 95% of the world that is not officially subject to it...  Cheesy
557  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Violating the U.S. Law on: July 15, 2011, 04:23:02 PM

Internet != America.
...

Thank you! That's the main point: "THE US" doesn't own the Internet. So, "the US Law" doesn't apply here.  Tongue

The OP is just the latest example of the traditional American arrogance and self-centeredness, which we see on a regular basis here...  Roll Eyes

If something "violates the US Law," or is inconsistent with "the American Way of Life," an amazing numbers of Americans even in this forum think that it should not be allowed!

I guess if a nation is a leading exporter of arms and has the market cornered on nuclear aircraft carrier combat groups, it's no wonder that so many Americans believe they can impose "the US Law" on what they call "the rest of the world..."  Cheesy

560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ATTN!!] Bitcoin Security nearly Breached on: July 09, 2011, 09:48:35 PM
So there is/was a discussion if deepbit allows botnets ? Or was this the first time anyone mentioned this idea.

Very interesting, I need to look more into this.

Worse than that: there was a discussion regarding the major pools forming a cartel to collude against the rest of the network...

If you think Tycho, Slush and the like are of such pristine moral fiber that they would never "muck around" with that to satisfy their unlimited personal greed, i have a forest of Bitcoin trees near Moscow to sell you...  Cheesy Cheesy
