541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [PTOY] Patientory Healthcare on the Blockchain on: September 01, 2017, 03:21:56 PM
This project will definitely approve itself. We should be patient and in several months we'll see significant growth of PTOY.
I dont mind waiting but my  worry is that what happens if some other competent team comes up with a similar project in the mean time.

Competition is always good. Another competitor will in fact help PTOY and the will speed up their development!

I agree with you. Healthy competition makes the competitors mobilize the efforts of the teams in the project realization and speeds up the project development in general.

This is absolutely true. Competition really can't hurt, and it forces the devs to step forward and demonstrate their abilities to its full extent.

Why i lost mine lisk

I guess you have to elaborate further on this in order to allow others to help you (if that is what you are looking for).
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: August 27, 2017, 04:26:00 PM
I have always been very concerned about lisk. It is a slow development process. I am willing to make efforts to do things, and I will be rewarded for it. I am looking forward to further updating the team and waiting for the new functions of the wallet

Somewhat true that development wasn't always as fast as expected. But I still think that there is a lot of substance backing the expectations.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [PTOY] Patientory Healthcare on the Blockchain on: August 27, 2017, 03:40:43 PM
Is this project actually generating revenue or are there hospitals or other institutions already making use of the functionality?
I think not,  Smiley
it's just an ordinary project that utilizes the name of health, but it is already profitable for developers and investors.

-.- So in other words you say this is just a quick buck for the devs? Aren't they trying to really solve a real world problem? That's what I thought so far.
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]PhilsCurrency [PHILS]- A Scrypt based cryptocurrency for smart communities! on: August 27, 2017, 03:39:58 PM
So is this project more about you guys as new developers learn how to develop a crypto currency or are you completely serious about this? I mean, it doesn't really need more and more clones of Litecoin. How are you going to be different, if at all?

Its not just being a Litecoin clone, its about creating awareness about crypto-currencies among our people

Also we have a few ideas upon which we have intentions to incorporate block-chain technology which we are working on as we speak now, and yes we are serious about this project Smiley

ok, how many developers are you actually? And are you also seeking for further talent or are you all set for now?
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] BANKERA بنكيرا مصرف عصر سلسلة الكتل on: August 27, 2017, 03:39:20 PM
Seems serious Grin

haha, lol. Yes, this guy is trying to pull off the most successful ICO in the history of crypto. Let's support this with everything we've got!
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: August 27, 2017, 03:38:42 PM
Lisk is indeed on fire. Curious when that rocket runs out of gas, if ever! Wink

...if ever - maybe never! Smiley

Doge Doge Doge, miss u price 120 sats  Sad

According to XRP1 you are good to go Wink He promises a threefold price increase within two months, so just HODL!
Haha, I'm hoping for a drop down to 30 again - would be great to accumulate a few more DOGE at that price - not sure if it will happen or not though

The movements are sometimes really unexpected. At this point in time I find it difficult to anticipate the next move. Could go either way.

I'm positioned for movements in both directcions - but would prefer a bear market for now - lets see what happens =)

Why would you still prefer a bear market for now? Need to load your bags? Smiley
Firstly, I like microtrading in the lower satoshi ranges - and secondly good to load up whilst everyone is selling - just don't panic when everybody is. I like a bear market almost as much as a bull market - at least in instances where I'm fairly confident that there will be a bull again.

Makes absolutely sense Wink most important thing though is to have sufficient liquidity that you can sit out unexpected swings or downward pressure imo.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Minexcoin - A new era of payments (ICO closed!) on: August 26, 2017, 09:41:07 AM
its funny , parking is done, transaction on my parking account but no coin reflects in the wallet, i dont understand, the first two were instant, hope every thing is well

For this problem please contact support Or send a PM to OP Usually they quickly respond if there is a problem

I think it will take some more to list in the exchanges because firstly they need to release the MinexBank where people can park their Minexcoin for daily and monthly interest. May be by the end of the month they will announce the details about the exchanges.

Yes you are right so for the moment do not ask related exchange we have to wait until the end of the month according to minexcoin instructions

Can't hurt at all to get it on exchanges, right?

How is the project going? What is actually the max target for the fundraising?
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🚀[ANN][PRESALE] Snapup - A revolutionary way to shop for premium products on: August 16, 2017, 11:03:04 PM
Ok but mathematically you can't purchase products at a lower price in the long run. If you participate in thousands of events, at some point your losses should be averaged with your savings and overall result in paying the original price of the product. When you save, someone has to pay, and when you pay, someone can save.

Would anyone from the team mind commenting on this? It is not precisely true to say that you could shop premium products at lower prices. Someone has to pay for your benefit, and in the end the community in aggregate didn't save a penny. In the long run, even an individual shouldn't be able to save money. Correct me if I am wrong please.

You can see in the whitepaper that the revenue per product is higher than its cost, because of the participation fee and winner's contribution. Theoretically you would be correct, except there's a way to push luck in your favor through the karma system. Anyway, the main thing to remember is that is designed around the sensation of winning a super discount. That is something worth in itself. And that psychological effect makes it a perfect investment.

Well, the expected value for any single individual participating in events should approach zero with zero = original product of the price under the assumption of an individual's participation converging ∞. This is not a new economic model.

You have a chance to buy it cheaper just like you have a chance to win 1000 in a lottery. You may end up spending more or less than the original amount in participation fees before you win the prize.

Besides, "the product" is a malleable concept, it's the combination of the tangible and intangible. Why is a 120 g of peas in a cute tin can more expensive than a pound of peas in a bag? Why do people buy coconut water? Why do we happily keep paying the Apple premium?

The point I am making is that I can't seem to find a "new economic model". There is no new economic model. It's a lottery with some extra spice called "Karma". A lottery is not a new economic model, is it?

So nobody wanted to respond to that. I guess I can't be too wrong with my analysis Wink Anyway, good luck with your project, I just don't like bold claims like "we present a new economic model". Why stretch it so far if you have a cool blockchain based product to offer?

Please be aware:

that since yesterday (actually, since Aug. 13 and longer) there are currently investigations/claims about security flaws in Gridcoin

I'm catching up on the events in my post here:

Ruhr Universität Bochum is in Germany. Is this a German project? If not, pretty cool people from around the globe have a look at the security model.

Most Internet projects are at least somewhat international.

But no, AFAIK Gridcoin is not based out of Germany.

Yes sure. But that they dedicate their time to Gridcoin is interesting.
