541  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: October 10, 2019, 12:28:27 PM
Majority of the crypto projects nowadays require KYC maybe because they are self regulating or their jurisdiction require them to conduct such thing. In exchanges it is mandatory to comply with Anti Money Laundering Council. Our personal data is so important and we should protect it all cost but sometimes we don't have a choice but to comply with those company who needs our informations specially exchanges, but we must make or limit the informations that we give.
Exactly, they require kyc to prevent the project to be included in the law of some countries where they prevent their local individual to invest from crypto, crypto projects might face some circumstances if they let anyone from those countries to become part of investment.
Aside from those reason, it is not all the time that requiring kyc should be passed, most of them are scam and they might sell our private information, its better to avoid those projects.
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your token's on: October 10, 2019, 11:09:18 AM
Keeping private keys on the Computer is not safe too! You have to compress and lock it to be 100% safe. Because Computer hack is not a big deal for hackers. Personally, I wrote down my phrase codes in a paper and kept a very safe place. I never took a photo of my phrase codes, never wrote the private keys on my phone or PC and never enter online! So, now I feel totally safe!

To secure your funds, I would suggest everyone buy a Ledger hardware wallet! The price is very cheap. If you can't bear the present price of Ledger/Trezor hardware then wait for the Black Friday when the price will be 50% down than now and buy it!

It is always best to use Ledger/Trezor rather than any kind of wallet so far. Well there are other hardware wallets or even paper wallets but Ledger and Trezor have always been the two most trusted in terms of security and safety of coins. There is no need to risk on hot wallets when you can afford to buy even the cheapest Ledger. In terms of saving seed and PIN, it is better to go back to the old note and pen technique rather than on soft copies which could still be accessed online.
Using hardware wallet is indeed the safest wallet to use, having a default 2FA and a private key that will surely protect you to any hackers. Since it is not accessed through online and you have a physical device which you can track and protect on your own, compared on using online wallets or any application wallet where you have a small percentage of being worry since you cant access it all the time unless you have your comouter or mobile device.
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are excited everytime we see a new coin without knowing it first on: October 10, 2019, 09:38:53 AM
Everytime there are coins that are being advertise we get excited
we make rumors and lots of noise without knowing it forst hand
we are just excited about the bounty , and sharing links to others
to make lots of refferal and bonus
but at the end of the campaign after we found out its a bust we then release are sentiments toward it, how it fails and the campaign
I think we should understand that everything are not perfect and we should be willing to move on after it , instead of wasting time and hate over the project this should be what we should do

I've been through many projects. There were good projects on my way that brought me money, but there were also bad projects on which I did not earn anything but only lost either my time or my money. However, I agree with you, it is not necessary to despair because of failures, but it is necessary to learn lessons and continue your work further. We as sappers on a minefield, only after as are trapped on landmine we not die and become stronger.
That is the risk of investing money in every cryptocurrency, there is always a win and some loses. In time to time we can learn the things we should do everytime we fail in our investment. We better be cautious in our investment not only because a particular cryptocurrency is trend or it is being talked by a lot of people. We should investigate on our own to avoid losing our investments.
544  Economy / Economics / Re: Trading on: October 10, 2019, 05:25:48 AM
Buy big altcoin only its one way how less your lost and have big chance to get much profit, with always buy new altcoin you have brave to sell when price in on the top without holding for long time and keep it long, you can invest on ICO or IEO time but always check when listing for selling at the first time.

I just have to say that this advice of yours is somewhat confusing and misleading.
Buying big or huge altcoins does not guaranty that there will be profit in it.
Even investing in ICO or IEO does not assure huge profit especially now they are many scams projects in the market.
That is true that buying altcoins cannot guarantee that you will make a lot of profit because you don't have enough basis for buying those altcoins. If you want to get an edge in buying altcoins so you can have a better chance of making a profit at the end of the day then you should conduct a research first to see if the altcoins or investing in an ICO/IEO is worthy enough for your money.
Investing is very risky, even how much you earn and hold it for a long time, there is no guarantee that you will earn or how much you will in the future. Investing is not as easy as buying then hold it, after that you will earn. Its not like that, you should consider the risk and you should be knowledgeable in terms of investing.
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Judge a Book By Its Cover on: October 10, 2019, 04:43:57 AM
You can't judge projects by how they look, what matters is what they are here to fix in crypto space,i introduced a good privacy altcoin to my friends weeks ago and they neglect it because of its look, the name of the project is sero

How can someone judge a project because of its white&black inky look?the fact is sero is just more than its logo looks and its already trading at a very good price 0.33$ i think, while its ICO price was 0.01cent.

My advice to people like my friends is to always put aside how a project looks, either scam looking or not please take your time to investigate before you decide if its good or not. Some projects are more than how they look, remember that not all shinny things are good either, learn to do research on projects not how they look.

They must be inexperience as they were able to judge the project without reading the whitepaper and checking the team behind the project. But it's hard also to tell someone that invest to it or support it because this is a good project because we don't have the control on what will happen to the project.

Only the team behind it has the control on what they are going to do with the project either continue it's development after successfully raising funds or exit the project and run away the funds. There are many cases like these so it's hard to recommend right now on what project to support or invest.
No one can tell on how the project will do until it proves itself. Most of the project that become successful nowadays are those project that no one expected to become successful. Its easy to judge a project because of its name and if it is not so popular, but once it become successful, many investors will come and will support it.
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Create and Trade own crypto on: October 10, 2019, 01:17:18 AM
To make crypto itself very difficult to run, you must have a team for the development of a crypto project, and should have enough capital if you want to create your own crypto. Preferably if you have a capital better buy only existing altcoins such as ETH, BNB, BCH, LTC and others for long-term investment. I think it's more profitable.
Having a team to develop a project will be difficult, a team should be responsible and expected to do their job in a proper way. it is not that easy to create a project to attract investors. There should be a good platform and a goal where every possible participant will support it until the end of the project.
547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holding will be worth this year or in the long run? on: October 09, 2019, 07:55:09 PM
I found this article on cointelegraph :https://cointelegraph.com/news/nearly-10-billion-in-btc-is-held-in-wallets-of-8-crypto-exchanges. I wonder  if they had the control over the price, they can make a bearish run or even they can wake the bull up? Well for sure there is only one thing to expect it is having a good price in the future. What is your thought if the 10 billion worth of bitcoin will move?

In my opinion, it doesn't matter what exchanges or any other big players do.
Bitcoin movement is upward in long term. I am holding for the next 5-10 years, so there is no problem if we crash now. I can buy more Smiley
Good way of thinking, it can help to avoid unnecessary movement where we might do panic selling if we are worried about the possible crash of bitcoin, some investor doesnt see it as a good opportunity to buy more, they rather sell their invesment than to lose more, but they do not know that it would be better if they buy more and add their investment.
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is Literally Hitting the Road on: October 08, 2019, 11:01:27 AM
For sure, that will be mainstream, and I am sure that will get attention from people who see those ads. They will try to use that car while they can ask the driver about crypto. I guess that it will happen in the other country which cryptocurrency is allowed so people can learn, adapt, and they will know about cryptocurrency.

The crypto.com are smart, and they can use mass transportation to introduce cryptocurrency to the public. I am sure many more ads will be shown in the pubic area and who knows, we will see a big ads flyer on the highway in any countries.
I know someone from Singapore and ask if this is true, he's been a resident there but he doesn't see anything such as OP showed to us. Maybe it is not fully expanded to the whole country or maybe its just a hoax.
Whatever it is, if this true it is good, advertising crypto will help to increase its demand, more investor will come for sure. If it's not, it will be fine, the right time will come for that to happen.
549  Other / Meta / Re: 3 Years Ago I Lost 5 BTCs from a Scam Sent From BitcoinTalk.org Official Email on: October 07, 2019, 09:53:24 AM
I think you need to think before you sent that bitcoin, at least, you know that the forum is bitcointalk.org. I wonder why you are not visiting this forum and ask about the email, so you will see that it is from bitcointalk.org, or that it is fake. Besides that, we don't know if that is a true story or not. And even if that is a true story, it's already happening for a long time ago.

Next time, you need always to check if you got an email from anywhere, so you don't get the same mistake as before. 5 bitcoin is a big amount for most people, and they will not be easy to send to unknown people or email. But that will be a lesson for you and us so we can be careful to send any amount to the person that we don't know.
I wonder if OP never suspects the email he received. I don't see any reason for sending a fund just by receiving an email like that. If it was me, I will get suspicious and I'm not gonna send even a small amount of penny into their wallet. It is an obvious scam. With that worth of btc to spend just for a banner.

But then, OP probably learned about his mistakes for trusting an email that was sent to him before.

550  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best advice you ever heard in case of investments and all on: October 07, 2019, 02:11:35 AM
"Never put all your eggs in one basket"
Applying it in crypto investment will help you to understand that investing in different kinds of cryptocurrency will help you to lessen the risk, by avoiding to lose half of them at any moment.

I give you some trick or advice before starting your money with bitcoin or altcoin investment, you have buy top altcoin on market cap and never buy with shit coin, looking which one top market cap coin to buy and left for shit coin because when price down never have chance get back to the top price.
Choosing the popular altcoins in the market for investing to assure the growth of your investment for the long term is also good. Tho there is no guarantee of how long it will take but it would be better than risking your investment in some shitcoins.
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bad developers have tarnished ICO! on: October 07, 2019, 12:51:45 AM
that in the past ICO projects performed very well if they used ERC20 tokens or projects built on established platforms. because it has the potential to grow well and reduce risk when compared to creating new technology. but now on the contrary I don't see ICO functioning properly even though it's built on an existing platform like ERC20.
I will not blame the platform because the platform has been built in such a way, but I will blame the developer, Why? because most developers have misused this for crypto schemes to get rich and most project failures are based on the background of developers who do not have extensive knowledge and deliberately tarnish the ICO project's bad image.

I totally agree with you. I miss those days of ICOs run by legit developers with platforms that are unique and have a practical use. Today it is very hard to invest in a very legit project that even gets launched in the market. now you really have to have deep knowledge of every ICOs as scammers are becoming smarter in conning victim investors.

Scammers are smart enough to make people fool, they act like real and legit but after raising the money they start showing the real face. Most of the ICO have no technology or a vision except some words on whitepaper! 2017 was the golden year of crypto and many big projects came but what happened then? Most of them are dead already.
Due to the hyped of ico's that year, those legit ico's lost in the track by those scam ico's.  They have collected more investors because their project seems to be legit.
These ico's focused more on collecting funds from their investors and disregarding their own plan to the project. Making the ico's look bad in the eyes of every investor in the community.
552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you know about Bitcoin before becoming a bitcoiner? on: October 04, 2019, 11:13:45 AM
This is a question to people who at some point discovered Bitcoin, but only became Bitcoin enthusiasts later - what was your experience?

I'll start with my story - I have first learned about Bitcoin in 2012 when I was looking for payment options for one online deal. In the end I used some other payment options, and Bitcoin didn't catch my interest, although I did claim a 0.005 BTC faucet once.

Then in 2014 I have learned about Dogecoin, and I still have vague understanding of cryptocurrency, I traded my BTC for DOGE and even tried to mine DOGE on my GPU. Then I quickly forgot about crypto again.

After that Bitcoin caught my attention in 2016 and I finally became a bitcoiner.

Looking back at all this, I wonder why it took me so long to became more involved in Bitcoin. What if millions of other people know about Bitcoin, but don't consider it as payment option or investment or store of value - how can we catch their attention?
I started with one of my friends saying about bitcoin and how one of his friends used the computer at our school to farm them. This was the time when bitcoin was still fairly unknown and still didn't have much monetary value. I tried dabbing into it for a bit but wasn't that interested then. When my friend updated me that bitcoin was rising and I should try it out again, I became more involved and that's what happened. It was I think around end of 2015 or the start of 2016.
Probably people don't consider it is cause they don't know much about how bitcoin works as a payment/investment option. Well, they're hugely missing out on the big things that way though.
As for me, I started mid 2016, a friend told me about bitcoin, I was amused at first, feeling excited because I can earn using my mobile phone, he taught me how to do faucets, I didnt succeed that time due to thinking of the duration of getting an income. Then a few months later, I was told to become a trader, having a capital to start with even a little will help me to earn. Telling me that it will take time to earn, then I convinced myself to learn how to be patient. That's how I start learning everything how it works in crypto world.
553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Deep Web on: October 03, 2019, 06:16:32 PM
Would you buy something illegal with your credit card? Of course not. People use BTC or ZEC to keep anonymity.
Its a big no. Why would you use CC to do illegal things.
People use digital money to do it. Deep web was full of illegal things, including piracy movies, they sold movies for cheaper price. They cracked games with high value. Thats why using btc is the best way to become anonymous, having transactions to anyone without knowing your true identity will make the life of their business long.
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WERE YOUR STOLEN BITCOINS EVER RETURNED???? on: October 02, 2019, 06:40:32 PM

I have been scammed a few times with cryptocurrencies. Many of my friends also have similar experience. And in none of the cases, the money was returned. And I don't know a single incidence in which the scammers returned the stolen money.

Really? This is the first time I have heard that the scammers returned the money they stole, most of the time they just run instantly without a trace

I know once you are scammed and robbed, its hard to reverse the Bitcoin Transaction ! But any of you were ever scammed and were returned your bitcoins by the scammers ! This is not a great topic but was curious if there is a Robinhood in the scammers ! Guys I meant scammers, few mine bitcoins few use their hard earned moeny to buy bitcoins, please dont grab away from the innocent souls !!
It is not possible to return money from scammer or hacker. My wallet was hacked in 2018 and lost my lifetime income. I am trying to move my coin but i cannot do this because the hacker is stronger than me.So i forget this and try to rebuild my life so i suggest to forget this and start to new life.
Its better to move on than to let your past bring you down. We cant help once your wallet was hacked, just put your wallet to safety the next time and use that experience to avoid being scammed again. Its impossible to make it back you will just waste your time, better to use your time to move forward.
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 bitcoin risks you should know when investing in bitcoin on: October 02, 2019, 11:19:05 AM
Risks you have mentioned are also related to fiat money, they are actually pointing the risks of using fiat. legal risk is not more likely related since bitcoin is not regulated by the government.

Everything is this world has its own risk.
Every investment we will do has the risk to take. FIAT has a stock market and you are risking your money also there.
That is normally the more you risk to take the more profit you will engage.
Even without the existence of BITCOIN, there is the risk you are talking about since then.
Indeed, they are discussing that bitcoin is risky because it can be used for illegal transactions/gambling/investment scheme, which is also happening at fiat. Risks is always there, we should not avoid it. Just face it.
556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should move to BTC? on: October 01, 2019, 10:13:15 AM
I see how tough it is for you to make decision whether you move from altcoin to BTC or to stay your investment as it is.
Analyzing the situation is the best way to finalize your decision, some say it would be better to move to btc and vice versa.

If it's me, Ill move if I have already gain profit from holding XRP, I'll stay if not. do not let your investment come to waste. face the risk.

Dangers inside crypto investing
People may ask: Should I do invest in the cryptocurrencies by using my life earning and savings?
No 100 % negative in doing this because this will be the end of your career if something went wrong

I do agree. It would be better to use the spare money we had, its hard to risk your career over investing.

Or should I take a loan out? Since I heard that the returns are so great!”
The most stupid idea I ever heard in crypt, there was a thread in previous year that concerns like this.when bitcoin is on pick last 2017 December a man make a load without his wife’s knowledge and all the loaded money he invest in bitcoin the sad part is hours after he invest the market starts to fallen continuously downing until the amount he loaned turns 1/4 and he don’t know how to explain to his wife lol

Right, its NOT SO COOL BRO, Its all about the risk, taking a loan for investment is like killing yourself. Why would you risk money for investment that is not yours in the first place.
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: taking decisions on: September 30, 2019, 06:15:55 PM
Whatever action you do will await you in the future because if you make a wrong decision then bad things will come to you later.
Even if bad things happen to you later, you should not regret your actions. There is no wrong decision if you have your heart into it. Always remember that there is a failure in every success. No successful people who did not fail.

The moment you start taking decisions yourself you will make a change in your life ,some decisions will be bad and some will be good but at least you are different from those who rely on others decision. Don't invest in coins because people  around you are investing in it ,I did the same in the past even when i knew that the coin doesnt make lota sense and it doesnt end well for me ,I repeat same mistakes like thrice before I really opened my eye ,I knew what's right from the start im just wasn't bold enough to do what I felt was right.

To all readers on here please try to know yourself ,listen to your heart and learn from others but don't rely on others ,sometimes you know what's best for you but you aren't just bold enough to make your own decision ,maybe because you are too scared of failure? Failure is a big part of road to success .

personally that I feel fear or lack of confidence in myself so that I always doubt in making a decision. and in the end I have to look for various instructions to help me in making a decision, because for a decision it can be bad for my future, although sometimes there is a thought that leads me to make a decision that really comes from myself, but I am worried about failure so I have to follow what I find from advice and input from others..
Dont let your fear comes first before taking an action, always remember that if you avoid failure you are also avoiding success in life. Be confident with every actions you made, be it a success or a failure do not regret it.

Bitcoin Cancellation Countries:

Algeria
Bolivia
Ecuador
Kyrgyzstan
Bangladesh
Nepal
Cambodia...

Can you please share us the source of this, Our country is indeed in the list to get legitimacy but I still want to know the source.

Good thing that our country is not against crypto and even some merchants are accepting cryptocurrency as a mode of payment which is really convenient. Our government is just making the public cautious in investing money since there are other people who are attracting newbies thru ponzi scheme. I hopr more and more countries would start adopting crypto.
The same in our country, government is not against bitcoin, they focus more on major problems than spending money to stop bitcoin from circulating in our country. They just make a few announcement to aware the public from investment scam.

560  Other / Archival / Re: is EVERY ico a scam?? on: September 18, 2018, 12:34:36 PM
Everybody keeps on saying scam scam scam for all of these ICO's. 90% of them are crap, yes. BUT there is the 10% of them, like vector, who are absolutely not scams. They are good projects that will really help the crypto community grow and its not fair to call an ICO a scam until you have actually researched it and you are sure it is a scam.

Just my two satoshis...
because its true, many icos are really scam. most of them. that's why everybody are keep saying that most of the icos are scam. the 10% that you are pointing is not easy to find, they are really rare.
