5401  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitmain Repair on Warranty on: January 31, 2018, 11:44:12 AM
Fact remains, I would like to know if some of you know whats the fastest solution, also on payment...I prefer to pay a guy to fix that thing instead of sending it to hongkong.
Aside from the above suggestion, you can also use MyRig (formerly known as BitmainWarranty).
Take note: It's a separate company.

Depending on location, these are the extent of services that you can expect from them:

USA - Full Service
RUSSIA, UKRAINE and JAPAN - Limited Service
VENEZUELA - Very Limited Service

Link: https://myrig.com/contacts/

They're also listed on Bitmain itself (regarding repairs): https://archive.fo/rQdd1#selection-1241.20-1257.28
5402  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin transactions unfortunately failed: on: January 31, 2018, 09:35:57 AM
Was that transaction from "Bitpanda"? Recently, few Electrum users had similar issues (to an extent) and from the looks of it, you were also affected by "this bug".

There's already a fix in place but you'll have to wait for the next Electrum release.
5403  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Someone to check my BTC addresses for forks on: January 31, 2018, 07:03:32 AM
I guess no one is offering this kind of service other than LoyceV,
there's no other person that is offering the same service but only LoyceV.
There's another one: [Walleting.Services] AUTOMATED Fork Extractions: BCH BTG BCD SBTC BCX UBTC BTF

alia_armelle: If you want them to do it, they require a 10% fee (I know you mentioned $1 + 1%) but if you'll be the one to do the whole process, I guess is either free (using their automated tool) which requires some time or at a lower percentage fee.

I personally haven't used them so can't vouch for them.
5404  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: January 30, 2018, 07:45:39 PM
Is there a way to unsubscribe from threads you have posted in; that is, to remove those threads from the "Show new replies to your posts" function?
No, but you can use the "Watchlist" option instead (last option from the list, upper left). It gives you the ability to sub/unsub.
5405  Other / Meta / Re: Too many spammers in Bounties Board on: January 30, 2018, 05:54:35 AM
So my idea is set the lowest requirement is only Jr member and above have right to access Bounties Board,
Then they will look for a new place to publish those worthless posts (or rather other types of low quality posts).

Most newbie account just stay in bounty board and spamming, they don't know what this forum has outside Bounty board.
Most of the higher users (on that section), do the exact same thing.

On top of those:

1. If this gets implemented, a user with a rank of "Newbie" won't be able to provide bounties for their own project.
2. If this gets implemented, more sections should be restricted to "Newbies" or else they will just spam other sections.
5406  Other / Meta / Re: Trust problem: Need help with forum administration on: January 29, 2018, 07:18:57 PM
Today I saw that I was spoiled for this trust, I think it is not deserved, I did not violate the rules of the forum, did not do what I was accused of, why this is not a fair attitude?
After going through your "Merit summary", it seems the feedback (given by actmyname) is actually fair.

All forum users are now afraid to charge Merit, because they are also afraid to get a minus in the trust.
As long as they don't abuse it (opposite of what you did), they shouldn't be afraid.

Help please solve this problem, because you can not corrupt the users.
Based on the evidence, you're dishonest (your merit history can be monitored easily). Only "actmyname" can delete that rating.

And also this:
19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).

Especially since I did not even spam on the forum, I always write constructive messages on the topic.
This has nothing to do with spam.

Also why would you ask for a positive trust from "achow101"? You should earn it, not ask for it (that's another red flag right there).
5407  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system for ICO and Bounty campaigns on: January 29, 2018, 03:16:06 PM
So, why does the forum administration not take steps to suppress SCAM on the forum?!
1. Because it's a forum rule:
19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).

2. It adds a lot of workload.

I ask the community to respond, let's together supplement the list of proposed measures and gave to the forum administration a real proposal how to protect our rights against fraudulent actions.
Although I like for this to be implemented somehow, users should also do their own part (research) before taking part in any "ICO". Perhaps it would be better if someone can make a detailed guideline that educates everyone from possible ways that they can be scammed (in regards to these), so they would know if they should avoid certain projects or not.
5408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I can not send more than 1 message per hour!! on: January 29, 2018, 02:08:04 PM

Basically it lifts some of the restrictions for "Newbies" (to an extent). For detailed information, click this.

5409  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is sun mining a scam on: January 29, 2018, 10:24:02 AM
I have heard a lot of things about sun mining good
Those are fake and made by shills.

and bad
These are made by real users.

so I was just wondering if someone could clear it up for me if sun mining is a scam or not?
Yes, it's "SCAM", avoid it (including other similar websites).
It's already listed on the "Badlist of Badbitcoin.org". On that page, move to "S" tab > Click "Ctrl + F" > Type their name "Sun-mining".
5410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to detect a spent transaction? on: January 29, 2018, 08:26:56 AM
I want to know the number of incoming transactions with value required for one outgoing transaction in order to estimate the transaction costs.
How can I detect when a transaction has been spent and has become valueless?
Use the following format:
Quote
https://blockchain.info/unspent?active=TYPE YOUR BITCOIN ADDRESS HERE&format=html
If you don't see the outputs there, then it's spent (valueless according to your words) and at the same time, you can estimate the needed inputs for your "outgoing transaction".
Don't forget to factor in transaction fee as well.

Take note that what "mocacinno" mentioned earlier still applies:
it's possible your wallet generated change addresses, so you might have change addresses you did not manually create, but still belonging to your wallet containing unspent outputs.

5412  Other / Meta / Re: Local language request - how to approach it? on: January 28, 2018, 09:12:45 PM
I was thinking where to put this question and this place seems the best as this is kinda entangled with bounty and ann threads.
It belongs to "Meta" section instead. Simply use the "move button" on the lower left of this thread (in order to move it there).

So I am translating some Ann and bounty threads to my native language which is Czech. So i would like to know: How can i contact someone competent and get their attention so I can request putting up a Czech local thread?
Unfortunately the demand isn't that high and as result I highly doubt theymos will create the requested sub-board (for now).

You can read this thread (including the linked threads inside of it), might help.

Also if I want to continue translation and spreading of crypto currencies in Czech republic, I will need Czech local "podcast" so I can post translated Bounty and nn threads there for people to discuss... So please, can someone help me? Thanks in advance for any tips.
For that, there should be a Czech sub board first.
5413  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Shapeshift.io moving in the grey area of the law on: January 28, 2018, 07:03:06 PM
I don't see a maximum deposit/exchange and no registration/KYC.
After you chose which assets to trade > Click "Continue" button > On the next window, you'll be able to see the "Deposit Max" limit.

Unusual transactions and all transactions above a certain amount are by law to be reviewed by the parties involved in the transaction.

All unusual transactions!

Shapeshift doing anything like that?
Even though they don't use "KYC", they have the rights to investigate for unusual transactions (although there's no "above a certain amount" scenario).

Read sections 3,9 and 10: ShapeShift Terms of Service

This thread belongs to "Service Discussion" section. You can use the "move topic" button, located on the lower left of this page.
5414  Other / New forum software / Re: Profile information on: January 28, 2018, 04:15:28 PM
Telegram is more convenient and used by a lot of people from the crypto community from what I've seen so It would make more sense to remove ICQ, MSN, AIM, YIM and add it instead. I know some people might suggest adding this to "Other contact info" but what I meant by this is to display a Telegram icon under the avatar like 'Email', 'Private messsage' etc. I realize this is not the best suggestion and It's definitely not a priority, but just a thought.
Although a low priority one, it's actually a good one since two of those (MSN and AIM) discontinued their services and as result, the empty section can be used for "Telegram" instead.

MSN - https://archive.fo/FXknX#selection-1667.0-1767.4
AIM - https://archive.fo/bZdON#selection-841.0-841.108

Since this is directly pointed towards this forum, then perhaps it's better suited in "Meta" section.
5415  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why not have a referral link section? on: January 28, 2018, 12:41:14 PM
As far as I understand referral links are not welcome in this forum. So I thought why not have a dedicated section where everybody can post their referral links?
Just take a look at Games and rounds section. There's constant worthless posts (apparently the only place that users can post ref links).
For instance, see this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1412411.30860

There's no point in having such sections or rather a dedicated section for such things.

First, we already have referral board which I believe the ANN board (correct me if I'm wrong) where you can post anything about your referral.
Wrong, that's not allowed.
5416  Economy / Reputation / Re: Invalid negitive trust from Lauda on: January 28, 2018, 11:00:14 AM
Oh I left everyone of your little racket negative feedback for valid reasons, I’d expect to receive more very shortly.
If by that you mean a not so valid retaliating feedback given back to you, then no. Not everyone is like "YOU".

The message was out of anger, funny that I’d see you in here defending your little racket and posting that link like it’s almost easily accesable to you or Lauda told you.
It's there as "Reference" in Lauda's recent feedback to you (take a look at your "Trust summary" page).

Asking for a beer isn’t the same as saying [PAID] Tx Accelerator, unless your blind or legally retarded you should be able to clearly see my tag was set to [FREE] hence not requiring payment.
It's the same, you're just using a different word (indirect way).

Yes, I’m one of those who run a script and take time out of my day to help people push Tx threw VIA because of the amount of PAID services abusing their Accelerator with scripts.
You forgot to include few words (like hoping that you'll receive tips/donations).
You're using a script > Normal users end up with little to no chances to accelerate their transactions > They come to you > You use the script to abuse and use this to your advantage > Some will/might tip you in the end.
It still looks like an indirect way of scamming.

Still waiting for this...
and I very clearly explained to people what services I used.
Where's that exactly?

5417  Economy / Reputation / Re: Invalid negitive trust from Lauda on: January 28, 2018, 09:07:31 AM
I’ve seen that if I can show that I wasn’t asking for donations or making people pay,
And yet you posted three donation addresses (even though you repeatedly say you're not expecting a donation but at the same time, you filled users head with the idea of it):  Shocked
Buy me a beer

BTC: 3AbaQZMJ1D9QDkMtHnkZfW89gnbnQkkgeN

BCH: 12r3nT7bREahxtpZgQepmF3nkTnrpRzdT6

ETH: 0x6fCAbD3216adbb50107509A48c628d1D422dBdb5
If you didn't expect a donation (from a service that it's out there for the public to use freely), you wouldn't be posting these addresses...

and I very clearly explained to people what services I used.
Where's that exactly?
Page 1: https://archive.fo/1p8FW
Page 2: https://archive.fo/Tb6lp

All free accelerators.
Script on VIABTC to help them avoid missing the hour signup.
So you're one of those users that contribute in abusing the accelerating tool of ViaBTC and as result other users get little to no chances (even if they do it at the exact hour resets).

I apologise for the message last night, with the recent changes and the fact that’s my first negative trust for a service that was only helping people really pissed me off.
You should've think twice before doing such things: https://i.imgur.com/BS5aqPW.png

More just hoping they don’t have me on ignore (unlikely)
If you behave, no one includes you on their ignore list (normally).

On a side note:

How cute that you left me including few others (Lauda, Bubai9000, pugman, The Pharmacist, timerland and actmyname), a negative rating: https://imgur.com/a/j1Bsx
5418  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: January 28, 2018, 06:38:39 AM
sir there is a new add features (MERIT) how can i earn merit? im a newbie sir... i hope you can help me sir how to earn a merit.. thank you ...
Produce high quality posts and in return someone might send you some "Merit" points.

So, for a newbie to become Member, it will take at least 5 weeks.  Am I correct?
Wrong. It used to take 10 weeks (5 activity periods) but now there's an addition of 10 needed "Merit" points as well (see the link above this post, posted by "TheQuin").
5419  Other / Meta / Re: Idea for the Bounty Section and ANN improvement plus bonus - less spam :) on: January 28, 2018, 05:00:03 AM
Unfortunately this won't have any significant improvements (although I see your point), unless there will be an sticky thread regarding this.

There's already few threads that to an extent do these (each for certain type of bounty):

Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 26-Jan-2018] - Regularly updated
Overview of ALT Coins Signature-ad Campaigns - Outdated
ALTCOINS signature campains list [UPDATE 25.07.2017.] - Outdated
Overview of Bitcointalk Twitter Campaigns [Last update: 11-August-2017] - Outdated
There's also a user that listed all of the active bounties in a single thread (recently) but couldn't find it.

Bounty managers for starters are probably quite happy with the way things are, they're earning some really good money for really quite easy work and probably don't see a reason to change unless they're forced to.
The managers that actually do their job (instead of pretending), don't have an easy task/work (it's more complicated than what most users think).
