562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANC] GLDCoin Google Docs Exhange on: May 18, 2013, 11:05:33 PM
Hello,

Using ideas from Frank2k's google doc's exchange I have made my own google docs exchange for gldcoins which supports namecoin (NMC), bitcoin (BTC), litecoin (LTC), and teracoin (TRC). This way there is support for people wanting to trade from more than one currency. Please post the offers here, and tehy will be updated on the spreadsheet.

Thank you.

All donations are appreciated to this GLD address: E5UVQ6wo5rQAY8phQYaDwCTAxndSiyutxm

564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GLDcoin slowly gaining on: May 18, 2013, 09:32:01 PM
Now that World coin has been launched and more people jumped to it, it seems these are the current coins of the day, what is your opinion? which is the better investment of time and resources, will any of them even manage to trade on the forums?

GLD's first 2 million coins(around 1/3rd of all coins out right now) were mined in the first 200 blocks.  Add on that the coin wasn't even posted in this section of the forums when it launched, giving the dev the opportunity to scoop up those huge bonus blocks, and you have a pretty scammy start imo.  Worldcoin looks a bit more professional in it's presentation, which gives me more hope for it's potential for long term success.  It could easily fail as well however as more coins will be released daily.

That's true but a lot of those 2,000,000 coins were given away as part of sharing the wealth which makes it not as bad as it could have been.
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GLDcoin slowly gaining on: May 18, 2013, 09:31:39 PM
I think the name gldcoin and symbol GLD are very attractive.  So, it seems like anyone who has GLD should hold on to it for later.  You never know, it might get picked up by an exchange.

I don't think "GLDcoin" is an attractive name.

I do.
566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Buying Litecoin for Paypal on: May 18, 2013, 09:23:26 PM
*Please note I'm in the process of reinstalling my operating system & downloading/syncing the litecoin client so if we agree on a trade I may not be able to do so right away but I will PM you when I am ready to trade and will pay you the Litecoin price on that day.*

Hello,
I am interested in purchasing some Litecoins. I want to purchase 5 of them at the current price of $3.05/usd or wherever they are at the time I purchase them (see note at top). I will pay with paypal since I don't want to spend to much time confirming my account and all that with the popular exchanges. I will send as a gift to remove fees and make it non arguable for me.

Please PM me if you are interested or post here.

Neat site... I have some goldcoins, so I'll try it out and see how it works.
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEW Goldcoin Game www.bitgrenade.net on: May 18, 2013, 08:53:18 PM
Hmm, getting a Mcafee warning upon trying to enter the site......

I am getting no warning.

Neither am I. However, double check and stay safe, it could be a false positive.
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTS] GLDCoin for LTC at (100GLD/1LTC) on: May 18, 2013, 08:33:20 PM
It doesn't make sense to claim that the price will raise but be willing to sell big amounts at the same time ;-)

5k isn't a big amount. Read the thread about the coin, the seller are all going to raise it

It stil doesn't make sense. If you really believe what you claim, you would buy and not sell ;-)

I kind of agree with you. However, it does help support the price in some sense. If you have 50k selling 5k at this price allows you to support the price, spread the wealth (which makes the coin more popular), and earn a little bit of revenue for yourself.
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prevent collusive behaviour of GLDCOIN on: May 18, 2013, 08:32:07 PM
Dear members of the forum

It has come to my knowledge that certain individuals are trying to collude to artificially inflate the price of Goldcoins. Such behaviour is frowned upon as it goes against the spirit of the free market.

Let the free market decide, do not dictate a price to a coin!

You sound like the admin creator of this forum... free market means free market...

Not as far as I know though maybe if you purchased them from someone else it would be possible.

If your looking at running cgminer on any pool with amd, there are many guides out there, just pick a currency such as LTC Gpu Mining guide, and crytocur.com should be able to help.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GLDCoin - A Litecoin Based Currency With a More Favorable Block Reward on: May 18, 2013, 05:11:38 PM
yes we need an exchange.

ya so an exchange will be better sooner then later

Yes, I agree we should have it sooner, because even if we have it later, the people will do the same thing. Another thing that may be a good idea (I'm considering doing this) is purchasing coins from everyone selling them at 1LTC/10,000. Most of these people don't have more than a few LTC worth, and then I can give them out as gifts or such to people helping the currency.
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold Coin [GLD] Giveaway! on: May 18, 2013, 04:36:43 PM
Thread closed.  Will send coins in the morning...

Great job distributing the wealth! I'm giving out mine as rewards for people who create new things for the coin. Keep up the great support of GLDCoins!
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GLDCoin - A Litecoin Based Currency With a More Favorable Block Reward on: May 18, 2013, 04:35:51 PM
All - we need to stop trying to sell this coin for like 1 LTC for 10K GLD.

The thing with this coin is that its "front loaded".  Think of it like a blockbuster film that makes $180 million opening weekend, and then drops 65% he second week, and 50% the next etc.

But with this coin, the value will rise as LESS coins are being mined because of difficulty increases.  The good thing is that if the difficulty rises to say 50, you will still get a few hundred coins.  Eventually, it will be 100 coins per block.

We need to support the coin, and hope it gets on an exchange in the next few MONTHS.

The guy who released the coin is offering 200K GLD for an exchange, and around 350K GLD for other bounties.  Problem is 10K coins looks like a few $$ now - but if we keep mining and kep supporting Gold Coin, that 10K could be worth 5K USD or better if it trades on a legitimate exchange in a few months.

AMEN TO THAT

I second that. I have stated before that jumping on an exchange so early would be just bad.

What I worry about even more is if there is an exchange for this... that the idiots with the thousands of coins will just bulk sell and creator the price even more.

That's true, however, if we don't have an exchange for a while, people will start to lose hope in the coin.

Great way to put it guys. I see two things as happening. One those people get tired from a lack of buy offers and sell any. We need to make an exchange with a standard price for example 100GLD/1LTC and 3000GLD/LTC or something similar (these are prices I saw floating around).
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GLDCoin - A Litecoin Based Currency With a More Favorable Block Reward on: May 18, 2013, 04:32:03 PM
I think 100GLD/1LTC is a fair trade!

WE need to Spread the word about the price.

I agree. I'm not really interested in selling mine but I will sell a few at that price. The way you guys need to solve this is make sure everyone whose selling won't sell under this price and also get some buy offers going at this price.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Coin / Open Exchange Idea on: May 18, 2013, 04:16:28 PM
You need a large release, you need to spread the wealth, and you need to have guides make it super easy to mine as soon as it comes out in order to attempt to gain a strong foothold and maybe even defeat your competition.
