561  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: HERO MEMBER RANK ACHIEVED 💎 on: February 16, 2020, 07:45:42 AM

Thank you dito kabayan, appreciated!
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among us here has been addicted but successfully cured addiction? on: February 15, 2020, 05:25:12 AM
To be honest that would be hard to prevent especially if the person is really hooked already.
I read that there are people who are addicted in gambling but they are successfully cured from addiction.
I'm thinking they resorted to a more reliable option such as rehabilitation or confining themselves away from a gambling site or place. It's more like a disorder rather than a disease cause the person its not actually sick but just being caught with his habit.
I think I got rid of the addiction and I can control now the urge to play gambling. I also set a limitation on myself on playing.
We cannot change what we are, but we can change how we do things, imo. We might be probably a chronic gambler once but we might be able to cure it by holding back even a little. Although we didn't get rid off the urge of taking bet but the thing is that we lessen probability of losing big assets/money. Diverging attention is a good thing either, but I kinda think that we would go back to gamble at some point in time. Thus, cure isn't like getting rid totally in gambling but a barrier to have our own set of limits.

Quote
That's the best prevention before addiction eat you. Control and limitation the only one who could more likely to help out you is yourself but the abovementioned ideas could also help.
Discipline, isn't it? Really works even in real life though, might be gambling, some sort of different addiction, financial, and so on. We must have it in our heads all the time.
563  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin at $10,000 = P510,500 on: February 15, 2020, 04:27:03 AM
I am not saying na bad thing ito, my point is kung gaano nila pinanghahawakan itong paga-adopt nila sa bitcoin, not only for the sake of having profit, para na rin sana maka-contribute sa pagpapalago sa environment, community at as well price na mayroon si bitcoin ngayon.

I like the art, man.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would make you stop gambling? on: February 09, 2020, 01:29:47 PM
are there any things in life that would make you stop gambling?

the two things that come to my mind are:
- making enough or a lot of money.
I don't think that this gonna work. There will come a time that such money in your hands wouldn't be enough, imo. May be our time allotment in some activities would increase up since, gaining income in gambling isn't a top priority anymore. Well, may be in some cases though but I don't think that this gonna work to everybody.

Quote
- finding a passion (even relationshiprelated or life/activity related) that changes your priorities.
but can you see other things than that?
IMO, we cannot change what we are, but we can change how we do things. So we can do some shift of activities in our leisure time to divert our attention out rather than spending much time in gambling. Hence, finding passion is a solid foundation we could offer to ourselves that would quite cover up our desires to go back into gambling space.
565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing 1$ every day in bitcoin over the last five years on: February 08, 2020, 11:54:06 AM
It is like quitting addiction like qutting smoke, and then save it regularly so that you can buy your own house/car. Well, might work for people who totally dedicated to such work however it is hard to pull it through though, because, we have our own regular stuff that requires money to be spend, same to this situation, $1 must be a small amount for the others but in some various places $1 even worth bigger than it supposed to. Anyway, the gain here in this practice would totally work if you're just about to invest when bitcoin is in its down price, of course. Well, you could pull it out anytime you want, either way. Might try this idea, thanks.
566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Silence on: February 08, 2020, 11:04:42 AM
Kind of late to notice this wonderful story OP. Thank you for sharing this, I find this totally an eye-opening especially for people who have been in great loss because they are looking for a space for them to sit here in crypto space; following what successful people here did, looking for the opportunity they couldn't get because of constant failures, and hostile surroundings. Truly, fortune favours the bold, it is often that people who took risks, criticism, unfortunate journeys, as a challenge to grow up will enjoy the whole benefit in the end. Thank you, for sharing this story OP, once again.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Site's Investing (Is it worth it?) on: February 08, 2020, 09:37:32 AM
I might invest few of my funds, since the odds of the house winning on these online gambling casinos is greater than the actual gambler winning.
why invest only a few when you are already sure that the gambling site will more likely to win  ? you shouldnt limit your self buddy  . i havent tried investing on a casino before but i am just a player and i loose more often  .  it seems that the more i play the more i loose , so it means that gambling site really earns alot   .
He's considering the other possibility, and you should do that, although he had the guts to say it so. It is just a matter of lessening potential loss. Well, in your case, you must be unfortunate or you might be playing without having any prior plan just betting what you got till you run out of money, that's really bad, man. Besides, even if someone's loses a lot that doesn't mean the casino itself would gain bigger, there will be always someone lucky out there who will win the jackpot prize or the most closest to biggest prize. Imo, it would depend on how many players would bet their money in the line that few of it would be in the house itself.

Quote
Though before investing, always check the legitimacy of the site.
this is the most important part to consider before investing   . there are old age sites out there that offers investment ,  like for example bitvest  , cryptogames   , ( to name a few  )
Well, always been, even in real life scenarios, but the risk is always there even the popular sites sometimes turns to be the opposite of what we expect.
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Usage Among Merchants Is Up on: February 08, 2020, 07:49:14 AM
Bitcoin usage among merchants goes up because the bitcoin price goes up,so the merchants want to get more bitcoins, before the BTC price hits the moon.Sneaky little rats.... Grin
Who would've deny? Lol. It is the reality man, I mean there are some who aren't looking at the same picture as this but majority are riding along the hype. Everybody has their own greed, especially these businesses they are dealing with it on a more practical use better than just going on without a good timing then failed, right?
Quote
At the same time, nobody wants to purchase stuff using bitcoin, because we are in a bull trend and the price might be at 12K USD next week.Damn it,let's just face the fact that Bitcoin will never going to be massively used for retail purchases. The number of merchants accepting bitcoin payments doesn't matter. Sad
Totally agree, man. Nobody wants to be that reckless especially there is a big event coming up on the scene. May be these news was brought by coming events on crypto space and want to be counted in.
569  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Price Prediction, is it helpful or falsehope for us? on: February 04, 2020, 05:12:17 PM
Sometimes, need natin tumingin sa mga opinion ng iba to validate our own curiousity as well. But don't take such information too far, falsehope/misleading ang iba doon. Kasi kung totally dependent ka sa claims porket sikat or what, for sure mapapasama ng kalagayan mo. Sapat na 'yong aware ka sa ibang opinion para you are aware as well on making up your own decision or what to do next.

Once again, validation lang.
-snip-

Agree, they should show at least any kind of analysis para lang mapatunayan na legit yung statement nila.
Sa maraming factors kasi nagba-vary ang price movement, and no one holds such actions. Global-scale ang kaugnay dito meaning every individual is parte. Kaya no one can predict an exact price kahit gumamit pa mga expert kuno ng sophisticated formulas.
570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Promote bitcoin through any means. It'll work! on: February 03, 2020, 03:40:20 PM
Great video Chris! What an effort, I wish I had the same skills and patience you have. You really love bitcoin, huh going to share this with people I know struggling in money stuff to promote your video as well.

I didn't think a meme could be a good idea to share and promote Bitcoin. lol
Although I've seen it before where memes are used in a Bitcoin group/page as a means of entertainment.
Thanks for sharing the idea OP it could be useful to the people who wasn't well aware of the existence of Bitcoin, they may heard it already or seen it somewhere but they just don't think it is worth it to try since they don't have any idea what that is.
Well, there's no basis on promoting bitcoin itself. It could be the way you want, the way you think would be the best way in your terms or field, like what Chris did here. Meme nowadays are totally an attention hooker, in my opinion, whenever people crosses out on something unfamiliar which may be like meme's message or what, they will tend to look for some source to confirm what meme wants to say. Well, in such cases, there will be some circumstances that some other people would even dare to dive to such knowledge, and will get to be a part of a community they never thought they could get. So much story, but it is definitely worth trying though, besides we don't know what would be the other result except entertaining people.
571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has the price of Altcoin stopped in one place? on: February 03, 2020, 02:28:26 PM
Some altcoins already made a big pump, you see ETH now? Some altcoins was not able to pump right now, simply because they can’t and maybe the investors still have no trust to put big money during a bear market. If the price of altcoins becomes high again then not all can afford to buy and I’m sure hodlers will sell their holdings and we will see the corrections again, the pump and dump is already here since then and altcoins can’t afford to be stuck in one place for a long time, the pump is coming.
Agree,  some alts especially on the top list are moving upwards. Probably because of bitcoin gradual pump? Don't you think? Anyway, this movement would not last long, it will fall then shortly since, pumps are just being accompanied by other's movement rather than having the pump to a certain altcoin alone. Trust is being test here, and people lack of that. So once it had reach, may be close to its highest price for a certain week/day people would right down selling it off quickly, like how ETH moves, imo.
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Video Game Company Supports Cryptocurrency on: February 03, 2020, 01:58:35 PM
I think they should also launch their own token in the market that could be used in all of their games, Also could be used in buying skills or items in the game this could be a great token targetting gamers.

Do you think they should launch their own token?
Better for their own improvement. But for maximizing the possible users they can used other popular coins in the market who will provide them a better functionality, in transactions and payments system. Well, there is nothing wrong on choosing a best side though. Anyway, I am not total gamer, but I love playing online/offline games, knowing this incoming improvements will surely give players a much more better path/options on transacting with the game. And I believe, that it will gather more players, especially those who are fan of cryptocurrency, may be checking it out? Or supporting the game as well.
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How is it possible there are altcoins costing more than BTC? on: February 03, 2020, 01:03:29 PM
Those coins are very far from bitcoin in terms of marketcap that 42 coin has only $353  volume what a joke coin. Look at the Circulating Supply 42 coin has 42 supply and wrapped bitcoin is 622. And be aware those coins are not trading as a whole coin for sure probably 0.0001 or lower  Cheesy they reach that price because of the low supply.
Sums it up. But I was a bit surprised though. And I even try to double check it, and it was real. However, the game here isn't circulating around the price itself. How big it may look like, majority of people here tends to considered a dead coin already, though it has a huge price in head.

The supply is so small only 42 so that would be really expensive esecially if the coin is traded by only 1 user and play with the price. I heard of this project too before but obviously they dont gave anyone their coin. If your gonna buy this be careful cause it could be a trap they just wanted other's to buy this coin as it has so low supply. Good that you mentioned this because maybe some will be interested to buy this coin which is traded only by the developers.

this is my first time of coming across a coin that is more expensive than btc in price, i always thought btc was the highest coin in the market, but now i see a coin that is twice th value of btc, not only that i saw 42 coin ATH in 2018 was "$193,158 -89.4% Nov 25, 2018 (about 1 year)" according to coingecko Shocked this is unbelievable, i don't want to imagine anyone that had bought this coin at that price back in 2018!!
i guess the reason why the price is so high is because of the very small supply, according to one of the admin on their telegram, the proof of stakes does not give rewards but rather it is deflationary and remove transaction fee to make the price increase, literary mining without reward,

needless to say 42 coin is very cheap at this current price Shocked, i think this coin is controlled by a very few users, afterall the supply is small so very possible to see price skyrocket since nobody is dumping anything and there is no more extra 42 coin to be mined.
It was definitely, controlled by a few users. So, the movement would just circulate around to the users who have it. So, once it already been consumed, what I mean, it turns to zero then it would be a farewell to such coin.

I am surprised with this, I never thought of alts would have bigger price over bitcoin. However there are some shady reasons behind that, right?
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: February 03, 2020, 01:25:49 AM
-snip-
Manny always generate huge revenue with each of his match and if this isn't enough for him, he could fight again for the very "last" time with another known boxer or someone like Conor. When we say "last" time, he mentioned it before that he's about to retire.
But then, we keep on saying matches after matches and rumors after rumors of fight for him so I guess I will not believe anymore if he ever says that he's going to retire.
I am not sure with other fights but this fight is going to be a huge paycheck for Manny with surely give him at least $100 million.
The last big fight of Manny where he gets $100 million + was only against Mayweather.
-snip-
Million dollar fight once again. Definitely, such money will be going to his bag of million once again. Anyway, I am not sure with this anticipated match either, as McGregor's attitude seems changed recently, so not yet sure if he will took crowd's desire. I want to reiterate "if this isn't enough for him". He got enough money though, totally enough to spend with his life time even though he doesn't have to work anymore. He's just fighting, to satisfy audience/boxing fans, which I do believe. And his recent fight, he won, which fuels him to step up in the ring though his body can't keep to what he was before.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to survive if you lose more than 80% of your Capital? on: February 02, 2020, 05:23:44 PM
Anyways past can't changed. If you are still try to keep you alive in crypto is keep calm, Trust in your choice, and HODL it. One more thing you should be in
a very potential coin, if you are HODLING shit coins, So you need to be brave and jump into a better coins.

Hope this will help you.

You can survive if you invest what you can afford to lose on the time that you are investing, but if you are not it's hard to keep up, investors should always be aware of this advice, even if the coin that you are going to invest look safe, and have a good potential you never know what's going to happen next in the market.

Always pack this advice up. Keep it always in your head, and I bet your journey will be safe. What most people missing here, is that, they buy recklessly, going side to side on where hypes are on fever-pitch leaving the right consciousness on dealing with short term trend. Thus, lead to a severe loss, then going to feel sorry with themselves. That is why I agree with the statement above, if people are going to buy out on what they can afford to lose, their journey, would totally be fine. Nothing to worry for such loses anymore. How about on losing streak? That's totally unfortunate, but whatever it is. Just keep on going out to an amount of you can afford to lose, it is what it is.
576  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Newbie to Full Member ranks] Merit Spree for the future of Phil Local Members on: February 02, 2020, 04:26:58 PM
I don't have any long story to tell here. I have no idea rin paano ko sisimulan ito. Turning 3 years na rin pala ako dito sa forum having this one account alone. Maganda-ganda rin naman ang start-up ko rito since nung nagsisimula pa lamang ako ay hindi ako nag-iisa, may nagga-guide sakin 'di lamang dito sa forum pati na rin sa kaibigan since recommendation niya sa akin ito. Totally wala akong idea kung ano ba itong forum as a whole, I know what bitcoin is, solely based sa aking nabasa sa facebook pero deep behind that wala na. Upon my journey, unti-unti na na-develop 'yong idea at the same time 'yong essence nitong forum (para i-connect tayong mga crypto enthusiast; exchange discussions, news and services na rin).  2017 ako nag-register, clueless na 'yong year na 'yon ang pinaka-summit ng market. And by that time pa-easy easy lang ako 'di ako nag-took advantage. Didn't regret it din naman since na sa process ako nung pag-tuklas ng mga bagay-bagay dito.

Nag-pause ako mid-year 2018, dumami task at responsibility sa school, pasilip-silip lang dito pero I didn't get myself involve with any of this. And I decided bumalik after a year then, at 'yon na rin napasama sa art contest. 'Di lang sa merit ako natuwa upon joining doon, dahil na rin mas nakilala ko pa mga kapwa ko tao rito sa local. Mas lumawak 'yong ground ko to learn, at source na rin ng mga opportunity lol. And mas na-appreciate ko lalo 'tong forum, better sa kung ano tingin ko rito way back then.

Learnings:
  • Quality post matters - way back before, when I started to register here wala pang merit system, kaya maraming shitpost para may mai-submit sa mga post requirement sa campaign. Well, aminado ako na I am one of them before, but I changed, and will continue to improve.
Pero mas better na i-avoid natin ito just for the sake of receiving merits, fooling others na you made a quality post, pero 'di naman talaga.

Pero tapusin ko na dito, thank you for opening this topic OP. Sabi ko wala ako gaano story lol. Thank you, guys at thank you rin sa forum na ito.
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun and Corona Virus on: February 02, 2020, 03:36:29 PM
It may be his intention or not, the point that he helped, it do mean a lot. People are going to criticized you no matter which side you're really on. I agree, it is not right to advertise something, but the fact that he reached, and lend a hand for people in need though he had something in his bag, it will give him a win-win situation, recognition, and as well his marketing stuff. We must not feel jealous about it, and be proud somehow that at least, even though how much he hate him, he did make his way helping people in need although it seems not right at some point.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next price in XRP on: February 02, 2020, 02:52:09 PM
When price up to 1$ in XRP
It is in 1/4 of of your desired price, though it may count a little but it is totally far, in XRP condition. If we will relate it to bitcoin it seems that it would have to even doubled its price. Anyway, when will it reach $1? Tell you, no one knows man, though if there are some sort of analysis out there, it still ends up being a bunch of claims/predictions, may be it does have basis but it ain't much a real thing, in the end. Anyway, if I remember it correctly, dunno if it is to XRP's stuff, there was a thread saying that XRP is not decentralized at all. Not going to tell the whole story, but if it is a real thing... then pretty much, there will be a highly significant effect to XRP price.
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: February 02, 2020, 01:59:48 PM
Bitcoin really help me stand on my own. Not to beg to my parents to spare me some cash whenever I have to go out with my friends or whenever I have to buy something I really want but I don't necessarily need, anymore. Bitcoin really help me in those factors, but this forum molds me to a different person than I was. I came to bother myself to study, get familiar with things around here, and learn from different discussions with here; what was behind with bitcoin's price, essence and so on. I am still amazed with this, and still looking forward to opportunities I could get here, not only financially but more particular skills, and knowledge with this great technology, bitcoin and blockhain as well.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this Right Time to buy Some ALT coins? on: February 02, 2020, 01:01:08 PM
It is true that right now we are hard to believe in altcoins since most of them have not really good performance. But trust me that two altcoins (ETH and XRP) are always good to invest. These coins commonly follow the trends in Bitcoin. So, if this year or in 2021, the Bitcoin will have a great season, I am pretty sure that ETH & XRP will probably have a good season as well.
These two great altcoin never bother me to doubt them. It was always in my list, and majority of people here I bet as well? Well, if not then try to root with these two. Anyway, going back to the OP claim, right this time alts are having their good run, they gradually increasing though, so, why think that they are having a hard time? 'Cause I don't see a thing for me to have such reason though. Anyway, I agree to the idea of buying during downtrend, and it is totally recommended anyway, however, people can't wait for the right time that's why they got bored and abandoned such great opportunity, what a waste.
