I was wondering the same. Missing some pools here. How do pools choose coins? By name,roadmap or what else? Yesterday 4 pools added a scam ninja coin called DRACULA lolololol. But this coin got no pools. Seems many pools operators like scam ninja,cause they can mine by themself at launch before any other. IMHO. How can a ninja coin be a scam if there are no funds paid upfront like in every ICO? What have you been scammed? Time? Love?  So World Domination is a legit goal for an ICO coin. I see  you take part to every ico scam? you are doing these? I added the pool because i had some miners requested it.. I did not want to add it all the time, dont worry, i am not the guy who likes ICO at all and Usually there would be no suprnova pool here please make some tolerance to add shit coins for now on, this makes me only think you are driving with them. so fucking angry to see daily ico scams added to pools. |

i had radeon 280x hynix, fast one mining x11 at 1250mhz clocks
it got broken and they are now offering me nvidia 900 series card.
question is which model i should prefer? 960, 970 or even 980?
rules are simple, card should be faster than my older 280x, not equal speed.
mining algos is what matters, not gaming
quark at default clocks: gtx 960: 9.5MHASH 120W gtx 970: 16MHASH 160W gtx 980: 19MHASH 180W 280x quark using the opensource miner 1,75 MHASH 150W 280x using the closed source russian miner: 11MHASH 300W so i would prefer 970 atleast, problem is that they only have 960 and 980 in stock that gives me an advantage to prefer 980.. sounds like a good deal to me |

OP updated. too tired to look more into source but when more pos miners kick in there will be less pow blocks. because pos blocks will be counted among to: LAST_POW_BLOCK = 19999; correct if i missed something Yes thats right if the first phase had been pure PoW the total would have been around 1.2m but it will be a less due to people staking. yep.. at block : 4053: moneysupply : 243332.74613423 coins calculated moneysupply without pos : 257468 coins = 14136 coins less than calculated because of pos blocks so, there is no way to tell what will be the supply after PoW |

but blocking minergear to submit high shares to pool is possible,
or blocking rentalsite submitting high share from miner to pool is possible.
this will only gain waste of energy and leaving the possible blocks to other miners.

Yes you can't steal a block, but that is not what we've mentioned in any of this or at my link. You can't leave a block to someone else. You can simply stop a block by not submitting it and no pool can identify that you didn't submit it. If you are mining at 1,000 difficulty, a 1,000 difficulty share is worth the same as a 10,000,000,000 difficulty share, so stopping high shares is pretty much irrelevant. talking about the same thing. possible but irrelevant and stupid if done. only way to measure possible blocking attacks is to compare your bestshare at long period, or pools expected shares when block is found, (ck solo has no expected shares stats and shares does not matter..). and suchs attacks are really hard to identify, too many variables and the so much missed/called: "can vary greatly depending on your luck.." |
