561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | scrypt | PoS | No premine on: February 28, 2014, 01:59:23 PM
Well this coin is getting a lot of attention. It is advertised as very modern but I can't see any groundbreaking, unless being solid altcoin can be called groundbreaking Wink .  Well definitely so many people haven't made bad decision when they decide to start mining it. I wish good luck and I hope this coin will hang around for long enough.

Slowly we are starting to get new kind of cryptoeconomy. With more freedom and possibilities of choice.
562  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: We should become shareholders of MtGox and save it! on: February 28, 2014, 01:40:50 PM
From what i read somewhere they already started the process of bankruptcy. If we would be able to solve it this way it would be used more often. But I'm also afraid it also would be rather bad idea for investment. Owners apparently don't care that much and they would still be in charge of everything until shareholders would gather all together.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: XXLcoin [XXL] official release thread on: February 28, 2014, 01:07:32 PM
I don't mind new coins, it is free market and one of them might work perfectly for many people and might even lift higher current quality of mining. I don't like the idea of buying votes with donations. that kinda demolish entire idea of putting  any kinfa of evaluation over currencies and so that we can make sure our investment and in general our choice would we in right hand. I am aware it is not only coin that is executing such actions but I think they should try more ethical and less misleading method.
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [WORLD FIRST] TiPS - built-in coin mixing/anonymity service just launched! on: February 28, 2014, 08:29:07 AM
Ummm.... why is it in altcoins, not at services ? Well never mind Wink
I like the idea, 2% on each transaction might make it profitable for server owner, although I wonder if Bob wife wound't worry that her husband is using such services. I'm not entire sure but if I get it right, I can hide traces of my money flow but i can't hide fact that there are TiPS at beginning. Well still i like the idea of creating new kind of services. It makes this meta-industry much more interesting and definitely flexible. TiPS might be even only reason why someone would use meta-currencies.

Oh, and I'm afraid Bob would use TiPS to spend money on different... services Wink .
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Myriad coin may be the most innovative coin of 2014 thus far on: February 27, 2014, 02:08:12 PM
Wouldn't usage of different algorithms at same time result of advantage of one algorithm over another ? It is hard for me to believe (especially based on no facts or examples how would it actually work) that it wouldn't end up as coin very similar to one's there are already out there.
566  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [OFFICIAL MT.GOX] HOW & WHEN 700K BITCOINS WAS LOST. on: February 27, 2014, 12:54:10 PM
Heh " report written for Mt.Gox " , that's nice. Is it just me or this article kinda prefer option of further regulation being placed upon bitcoins and other meta-currency's... I don't like such ideas. Examples provided by this article are banks and financial institutions that were responsible for recent crisis (also reason why people even are considering bitcoin as alternative for this lazy greedy bastards) .

Well I'm guessing most of people will be only talking about how gox made them second hole in ass here. As a person that never keep whole money in one place i shall move on and just hope gox won't be reason for some annoying bills in future.
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]TrollCoin A must have for every Troll! Now on TrollBook and Troll-itter! on: February 27, 2014, 12:41:41 PM
Sooooo.... people are actually mining it or this whole topic is just big weast of time  ? xD
568  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: If MtGox can ident the Bitcoins, why not fix it? on: February 27, 2014, 12:35:10 PM
Such idea would damage opinion of bitcoin as currency you can trust, that is easy to exchange and transfer. I doubt it is possible and i hope it isn't. People who lose money at gox took they risk and must pay for it. They still have possibility to get it back by lawsuit so I wouldn't push any one to drastic method like this one.
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't think of what to do with my time and money on: February 27, 2014, 12:27:22 PM
Well bitcoin atm's is nice idea that would require a lot of money, btc and skill to push any further in diferent coutrys. You can try that Wink
570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The best Bitcoin cold storage? on: February 27, 2014, 12:07:20 PM
Our advancement in technology left a lot of people in rather uncomfortable position when they can't store wealth in more traditional way. Those containers are trying to mimic solutions we used to have for gold and coins for rather long time.  I am a bit surprised we haven't go further with solutions. More advanced, less reliable on battery's, low temperature and physical damage. some of those odds and ends are even a bit nostalgic, to hold our virtual belongings on necklace or key chain.

I'm afraid we need more advanced solutions. Storing meta-currency is bit different and we should't think about like a normal data. Maybe plastic version of paper print.
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would bitcoin have certain immunities if groups claimed it as their religion? on: February 27, 2014, 11:37:57 AM

Also worth noting

This one might look unimportant for some people but people from China are right now biggest buyers. Besides this religion thing will be only important in some country's. I'm guessing at your country legalization is easy and benefits from such solution are good enough but it is not something we have at other country's. All religions i know are rather centralized, wouldn't bitcoin lose its decentralized and liberal part because of it...
572  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cheap electricity for mining Bitcoin on: February 27, 2014, 11:23:52 AM
Well in most of country's electricity is cheaper at night. Venezuela is kinda famous for having cheap fuels so i guess usage of normal electricity for nights and generators for day would be perfect solution.
I wonder how is your cooling Wink

Lawyers website named mofo, that's like quintessence of irony xD
I actually wonder if they even know what bitcoin is and that there is certain difference between financial law and law related to meta-currency.
574  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Platform of People Affected by MtGox on: February 27, 2014, 10:48:26 AM
Nice initiative. I'm one of those who don't have to join such group but I'm totally support your cause. Lets home radical reaction for community will prevent such situations in the future.

576  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MTGOX.com working again!! on: February 27, 2014, 10:31:15 AM

577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The one hurdle that will kill Bitcoin (and any other altcoin) on: February 27, 2014, 09:48:25 AM
I am not afraid of regulation of bitcoin since it is nearly impossible. Taxation of bitcoin, what already appear in money transfer tax and income tax, would be much bigger problem. Besides it is international currency. It would require cooperation of many countrys, large variety of international law changes.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ★★ Rubycoin ★★ A precious gem for the digital age on: February 27, 2014, 09:31:40 AM
Wow there such a drasticly diferent opinions about this coin in this thread. Hard to tell what is the truth and what is just over-expectations towards mining. I don't want to support scam in case oh ruby-team actualy owning most of coins. I would like more facts. Any one ?
579  Economy / Services / Re: Hotel Residence bitcoin friendly on: February 27, 2014, 09:14:22 AM
