What this guy is doing is that he is pretending to have the account of someone else (for fun???)

I can also say I am selling a hero member account with 490 act. and 2156 posts, with green trust. Wish to resolve this ASAP.

(I will stake my address after this has been cleared)
562  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Altpocket - The best tool for tracking your cryptocurrency portfolio 🏆 on: October 27, 2017, 01:27:24 PM
Everything looks good but I don't see any option to select in coin/token list maybe its my browser? nice theme just registered on the site.
Edit : tried different browser still not working.
-snip-
It works fine for me, your drop down bar looks different from mine. Try using Chrome/Firefox, and it should look something like this:

I really like this site, it even have social features, and I recommend it to those who have a huge crypto portfolio. Just import it from your exchange site and there you go! Has basically everything you need there. Smiley
563  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoinconomics 101 on: October 27, 2017, 01:15:01 PM
I guess this is a good starting place, and I really like the conversation as it feels so REAL that I can relate to, haha! It is true that no one will read chunks of text, so a suggestion is to create a better first impression, basically when you visit a site, the looks matter.

Add some images at the start, like a small comic of the 3 characters (I can draw up something real quick if you want Tongue), and some at the side bars. Since this is a relatively new blog, a short introduction about it, and perhaps you, the author, can help too. Smiley I used to manage a blog about Bitcoin, but I couldn't keep up with the current news and I took an eternal break. Good luck though!

Perhaps you can change your blog name to 'Bitcoinconomics'??
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep track of your investments including entry, exit and ROI? on: October 27, 2017, 08:23:32 AM
Just came across this site not long ago, and the design and user interface are pretty user-friendly, try this out! https://altpocket.io/

Here's a screenshot of the site, you just have to enter the prices which you bought at/sold, and it will tell you your profits. Sick site, highly recommended. I came across similar sites before, but this one is my favorite so far. Grin

And its free!!

565  Economy / Economics / Re: Is China making a U-Turn with Huobi? on: October 27, 2017, 08:08:12 AM
I just did a quick google search and cannot see anything about this?
Currently it is still just a rumor, probably started on Reddit. They have Tether, though.
https://www.reddit.com/r/NEO/comments/78pkfc/huobi_to_reopen_on_26th_october/

If you want official news, check this: https://www.huobi.pro/notice/

China just wants to ban Bitcoin so that they can have more control over the citizen's money, and Bitcoin have the potential to even replace their currency in their daily transactions. Also, they can't just do what they want and ban Bitcoin entirely.

Bitcoin is international, and I am sure other countries will have some say (US), and even their own citizens. Hope Bitcoin can make a comeback soon  Lips sealed

566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Website mining Bitcoin without permission? on: October 27, 2017, 07:53:51 AM
Try to avoid those sites that you know does that. You can disable Javascript, and it can block out the miner running in the background as it is mostly likely using Javascript. You can prevent this by having add-ons to your browser, such as ScriptBlock, which I use for Chrome.

I am not sure, but I think it is possible to detect the 'BTC/Monero' miner by 'inspect element' on the site. Apparently this is actually a threat that is getting more common, called Cryptojacking. Had a good read here. Smiley

569  Economy / Economics / Re: If the powerful governments wanted to, do you think they could stop Bitcoin? on: October 27, 2017, 01:48:17 AM
Well, they can buy down 21 million BTC and keep all of them to themselves, essentially 'killing' Bitcoin. Smiley On a serious note, no, I feel that it is difficult for them to do so. Even if countries like China tries to ban Bitcoin in their own country, they cant exactly do so to the whole world, and there will always be a use for Bitcoin somewhere else.

Bitcoin is still gaining popularity, and its community is growing, so unless all the governments team up and say NO to BTC, it would not happen (I hope).
Citizens > Government, and we need to believe this as well.

571  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the Bitcoin bubble burst? on: October 26, 2017, 01:52:34 AM
Havent it already? Smiley The 5000$ milestone was a breakthrough for Bitcoin as the price was fluctuating about 4000+ and seems like it was somewhat stable. I predict that it would rise again very quickly in the next year, even way higher than 10k is possible now, seeing how Bitcoin is growing so rapidly.
572  Economy / Economics / Re: Best organization for spreading crypto adoption? on: August 26, 2017, 05:34:43 PM
Obviously the most popular ones that everyone knows will be the best way to spread. If Google invests in Bitcoins in a large scale, it would probably increase awareness around the world, same goes to any large companies out there. Tongue

If Microsoft installs a Bitcoin Wallet in every computer, or your local supermarket/mall accepts Bitcoin, you can get people to start using them too. Smiley
573  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | Accepting Sr. Member+ on: July 22, 2017, 03:22:02 AM
Hi, I would like to leave the campaign. Thanks @Darkstar, and wish ChipMixer all the best!
574  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hold or sell.... really? Better question: WHEN TO BUY on: July 15, 2017, 03:09:26 PM
It looks like it is dropping real fast and it this continues the price can easily fall through $1500, and perhaps reach $1000. o~o It is hard to say now, and you may be correct, as more people sell due to FUD, you can get a good price to buy instead.

I would try a 'Martingale' way of buying, just buy a bit more when the price drops, and that way you can recover your losses when the price recovers. Smiley If it starts to reach $1200, I'll start getting all of those Bitcoins.  Cool
575  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Are people moving their coins out of exchanges for 1 Aug 2017? on: July 15, 2017, 02:56:36 PM
I want to know, if someone not able to transfer his coins from exchanges or online wallets to offline wallet, what happens for those coins if the are there in exchange wallets after 1st August. Are they still safe there or any risk?
There will be risks, and if the exchange sites are not ready, you might not get your coins, hence the most secure way is to control your own private keys, for example you can download a desktop wallet like Bitcoin Core or Electrum, whichever suits you.

Also, it is always advised not to keep large amount of your coins in exchanges as you do not have the private keys, so you DO NOT actually own them until you have access to your private keys.

Check here too: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/bitcoin-beginners-guide-surviving-bip-148-uasf/

The thread by theymos is very useful as well, be sure to read it if you haven't!
Are you ready for Aug 1st?
576  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Bitbike: People to People bike rental. Powered by cryptocurrency. on: July 14, 2017, 02:24:05 PM
I know that my city do not have a chance as it is in SE Asia, plus they are lots of bike sharing available in my country, so I voted for France instead. Smiley

Subscribed, and hope to see updates soon! So it would be launched in 2018? Hopefully your service can become global and people can get to know more about Bitcoin and earn some themselves. Honestly speaking, I think this has a potential to become global, so I am really looking forward to this. Any updates or new information?
577  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: July 14, 2017, 02:18:54 PM
Well even thought it was only 1 and half month old, chipmixer already attracted a lot of people.and based on their services and promotion, they have a good future if they dont do anything wrong.and also ,some of them have a problem during mixing likely because their ip have a evil spot,or problem with their ip.i dont know but sometimes i have a problem too (or malicious software/virus?)
Yeah, the thing about this mixer that is different and unique are chips, and I find that a very interesting way to mix your Bitcoins, plus you can even 'bet' in ChipMixer where you double your chips (E.g. 0.512 BTC chip --> 1.024 BTC chip) and repeat it again, so it has a gambling element in it that makes it interesting.

The best part is that no fees are charged, which I still do not get. Don't you have to pay transaction fees at the very least, but yet no fees are charged? I know people can choose to donate, but how much I am not sure how much.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ?Asking about waves? on: July 14, 2017, 01:58:52 PM
Hmm? It is a faucet and that works exactly the same as any other faucet that you can find.

The picture which I showed you:

I had used this many times already, and here is the payout:

The love token is just another random token that can be found in the tokens section, if you want some random tokens, just say so and I can give it to you. (worthless though, just for collection)

If you have any doubts, you do not have to create new threads, perhaps a bump will do or you can always send a PM. Wink

You do not lose anything, so why the question?

Faucets, like wavesdrop.com, earn money when you visit their site as they earn by advertising. When you view their ads, they earn, simple as that, so they reward you for you to visit their site.

The thing is, the payout is relatively small, not even worth one cent. If you really want WAVES, just buy them, no other easy way to get them fast.
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where can I get free waves without spending any money? on: July 13, 2017, 02:27:19 PM
If you are looking for free WAVES, do you mean faucets? Here is a well known one, wavesdrop.com, do check it out.

It would be difficult to get a lot of WAVES from faucets though, so I recommend you to get some WAVES on an exchange sites like Bittrex that support WAVES, and then deposit it into your wallet.

I had no idea waveswallet can hold ETH and other coins. Is it even possible? It can hold some of the verified tokens like MRT (Mining Rewards Token) though.

At first when I used their wallet, I deposited BTC but did not know that every transaction fee requires 0.003 WAVES, meaning I had to deposit some WAVES before buying anything there. Tongue

EDIT: Yes, I have used the faucets a few times personally and I proabably got about 0.005 from it in total. Smiley
580  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How do you find Coinbase? on: July 13, 2017, 08:32:44 AM
Honestly, I find it a very good site that offers security and trustworthiness, and I like their features and interface a lot, and I have used it the past 4 years or so. Their customer support is very responsive too and simple to use too. However, if you are using their wallet, do not store all your coins there, and in any online exchanges, especially when August 1 is nearing.

If you are talking about their buy/sell Bitcoins service, I think it is also one of the best ways (and easiest) to use, for all the same reasons. Are you looking for a place to buy/sell or just an online wallet?
