701  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC can be a great store of value. Not for small transactions. on: June 20, 2017, 10:51:44 AM
Yes, Bitcoin was meant to be an investment from the start, like gold but digital and with limited supply. Given the fees Bitcoin will never be used for micr-transactions. An alternative way may be to use an altcoin with low fees and fast transaction time, but that would be a long way to go for many to start adopting it. Smiley
702  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of exchange withdrawal fees on: June 20, 2017, 10:42:06 AM
Nice overview! Smiley Maybe you can add the date where it is updated too, to let us know that this list is up to date.

I don't understand the (coinbase) GDax part, but CoinBase's withdrawal fees as of now is 0.00087605 BTC, dropped from 0.001 ++, so that is a huge relief. Maybe you can add that too to your list. Cheesy
703  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Buy Bitcoin with Mobile Credit - CoinGate.com on: June 20, 2017, 10:35:27 AM
Hi, I am interested in your service and I would to know if CoinGate supports mobile credit that is prepaid instead of charging the phone bill. Have been looking for a way to buy BTC with my extra mobile credit so I would keep a lookout for this service. Hope to see more supported countries and good luck! Smiley
Apologies, we missed your question! Prepaid credit is also supported, it does not have to be a regular phone bill for you to use the feature Smiley

We've already inquired about Philippines and hopefully we will support it by the end of summer, in addition to some other countries in Southeast Asia!
Thanks, and this is just what I wanted!! I live in the Southeast Asia too and I hope you could bring this service here to Malaysia/Singapore! Really looking forward to this service!

May I know if there are any fees for this service? It does not say anything about extra charges for the service at your site so I would like to confirm before I try it out, thanks!
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 20, 2017, 10:22:37 AM
Need some help in the WAVES client, after I leased out my WAVES, do I get any rewards? I only got a little mining reward after 2 weeks and that was all I got, is that all I am supposed to get?
It depends which address you have leased your Waves to. The earning differs from address to address. Tell us the address where do you have leased your ways to.
Thanks for the reply, I have leased my WAVES to 2 different addresses,

is there any way I know how much and when I can get the rewards? Smiley
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin has surpassed $50 for the first time in history on: June 19, 2017, 08:45:33 AM
Over 1000% increase for the past 3 months and that's actually a coin who deserves it. I am very happy for the ones who hold! All hail LTC!
3 days ago after such a large increase its already at 30 USD, and now its 50 USD? Huh Thats unreal! I did not expect LTC to make such a comeback, and now LTC is dominating Poloniex and other exchange sites too, cool! Grin
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 19, 2017, 08:42:03 AM
whats goın on wıth the platform. sınce a few days not workıng. and there ıs no announcment for that. need an urgent update ı thınk. not good for waves.

anybody knows anythıng about thıs
When will this problem be resolved?

Error! There is no such pair or one of the assets does not exist.

Everything is working fine with me. Just refresh and I am sure the issue would be gone, if not restart your computer. It happened to me before also, should be a small glitch or connection error.
707  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: L@@K BTCWarrior RPG Conquer The Wilderness - Climb The Ladder - CLAIM FREE MONEY on: June 19, 2017, 07:52:37 AM
If they remain at the top they are not earning anything...  They have to be active to stay on top which means they earn more income for the site but as soon as they claim they reset to default stats and have to start over pretty much just like someone who joins today. Once someone claims everyone moves up a spot on the leaderboard. as time goes on everyone could be at the top at some point as long as they hop on and gain exp from time to time.
Yes, using chrome.

Ok then, maybe you can add events to welcome and attract new players, like you can offer new members a 100 bonus coins for signups now to increase the user base too. Nice one on the pool by the way, I want to see someone cashout, but with this system I doubt the top few members would, given that the longer you play, the harder it would be for you to get back up, so the top will always remain at the top.

You should consider the cashout option to be a fixed amount of experience traded for BTC. You mind sharing how much % of the revenue is added to the pool? Smiley

At what stage does prolink direct you to a blank page? Do you have adblock on when trying to do prolink short urls?

I am trying to get cointraffic to allow me to put banner at the top as the static banner on right sidebar was big earner. I still think The money will be the reason people stay/play.

Yes I plan on some bigger updates when I can get the time.

Pro link does not work for me, so I cannot collect the free soul stone. Sad

It looks like it is quite difficult for players that just join the game to even get any earnings, as the 'pro' and pioneer players can remain at the top of the leaderboard for the whole time, and I would say the payout system is a little unfair to newcomers.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If we all planned to invest in an altcoin? on: June 19, 2017, 07:12:42 AM
I can tell you 1 important thing about Altcoins, or cryptocurrencies in general.  The amount of money invested in 99% of the coins has nothing to do with the market cap, or the value of the coin.  And the only way to "make" money in cryptocoins is to sell to someone after the fact.  This is the way a pump and dump works.  Not everyone makes money, since in order for someone to make money, someone else has to lose money.   A lot of coins can be pumped with very little money.  Yes it will take ALOT of money to pump a coin like BTC or LTC but for the most part if everyone on the forum pumped $1000 into a coin.  Heck even $100 into a coin it would drive up the price massively.  Which causes a frenzy from people wanting to jump in on the wave.  You can't just stop and coast on a high priced coin, and everyone can then sell at the new price and everyone makes money.  What you need to do then to make money is signal everyone to sell their shares at the time all the investors are trying to jump in on the action, and sell your shares before they know what's going on.  Then in the mass selloff, the price of the coin will probably drop lower than the original price, and everyone jumping in on the wave will have lost a lot of money.

Highly illegal in the real world, but perfectly normal in the cryptocurrency world.
Haha, well said! Paintings work the same way too, people 'pump' the price up in auctions even though it is not that worth but there will be investors who are willing to pay that high price.  Roll Eyes

If we all invested into a specific altcoin, it may make other altcoins obsolete, maybe even Bitcoin, and that altcoin may even be our 'main digital currency' that replace Bitcoin. It may happen, but in the real world not all will switch to that altcoin. *Hypothetical Situation* Cheesy
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lots of Scammers Here on: June 19, 2017, 07:06:08 AM
The best advice to anyone considering investing in any ICO or project is to think carefully before parting with your money

I have enough PMs from all sorts of alleged coders who can create the best of the best but all of them have been scammers trying to take money, many asking 25% in advance without any real contract and with no recourse or protection for the investor.
Because it is more difficult to set up a proper and legitimate business for profits, than to ask for investors and run away with the money. Less effort, more profits, who wouldn't want that? Of course it is wrong, and even the scammers themselves know that.

I never invested in ICOs before, as I think the altcoin market is quite saturated already, and you never know what will happen to that coin in the future. Sure, if the ICO turns out successful, you may easily have 1000% profits, but if it drops, you lose everything.

In the online world, sadly we have to, for ourselves, learn to distinguish whats scam and whats not, and I think this is a valuable skill in the online community, so stay safe! Holding your Coins in a desktop client would be the safest way to go. Smiley

I like that some will be returned to the lottery pool, better than nothing. Smiley I think its awesome for now, just need to see how this goes and maybe do a few tweaks from there then. Cheesy

Glad that this site's user base is increasing, great to see more members there! Grin
713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Model is Awesome. on: June 18, 2017, 01:58:52 PM
In a way, yes! Smiley There's the trust you have, that users built up over years, endless transactions, but it can be easily broke by greed, and there are many cases out there of traders/buyers/escrow who had ran away with the goods/BTC.

The trust model is cool, as it takes time and no one would want to lose all that effort, but you should never trust anyone with a *significant* amount of BTC, even with the most 'trusted' member here. Smiley

For current members, I am readjusting the points into XVG.
Thats cool, I have never used that altcoin. So does the current point system show in XVG or is it not completely fixed yet? All the decimals are giving me a headache.  Huh

I suggest you to keep the point system in terms of points, then only converting them into XVG during cashout. For example: Each question answer + 15 points, 10000 points = 1 XVG, something like that. Smiley

Overview of avatar campaigns, but it is recommended that you join those normal sig campaign that gives bonus for wearing an avatar, which is required by most of the avatar campaigns there.

Even so, it would not be a lot, so why not have your own personal avatar instead? Smiley
717  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC is a roller coaster on: June 18, 2017, 10:09:15 AM
Lets just hope it does not drop any further. Sad The thrill (and fear) of holding Bitcoin is like roller coaster, but Bitcoin is a ride to the moon. Smiley Too many drops will give me an heart attack, trading is definitely not for the weak. I rather step back and watch other people ride this rollercoaster. Cheesy

718  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need Help In Understanding The Significance Of Market Cap & Volume(24hr) & More on: June 18, 2017, 08:15:10 AM
Market Cap: Circulating number of coins x Current Price of Coin.

(Example: 1 LTC = 0.016 BTC, Circulating Supply[Amount present] 52 000 000, Market Cap = 52 000 000 x 0.016 ~ = 830 000 BTC)

Volume (24hr): Total coin bought/sold in terms of BTC for past 24 hr

Circulating Supply: Amount present (Some coins have not been mined, like BTC)

% Change: Percentage increase or decrease denoted by the -/+ sign over the past ___(24hr/week/...)
