561  Economy / Economics / Re: India is the new economic leader of global south. And replacement for China?... on: November 22, 2023, 06:04:05 AM
India 2023 population is estimated at 1,428,627,663 people and about 17.76% of the total world population. India ranks number 1 in the list of countries (and dependencies) by population. The population density in India is 481 per Km2 (1,244 people per mi2). The median age in India are about 25 years.

China population is equivalent to 17.72% of the total world population. China ranks number 2 in the list of countries (and dependencies) by population. The population density in China is 152 per Km2 (393 people per mi2). The median age in China is 39.0 years.

So, with India you have a much younger work force and probably also a lot of poverty ....so you can have cheaper labor cost. (Even though the poverty has significantly improved in India over the last couple of years)

China on the other hand has a much more disciplined workforce and they are more technologically advanced, so most manufacturing are done with robots and more efficient labor.  Tongue
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You At Any Point In Time Blame Who Taught Or Led You To Gambling? on: November 22, 2023, 05:49:35 AM
Why should you blame someone for something that they have no control over? Let's say you click on someone's gambling signature campaign banner and you win a huge jackpot at the casino that he or she represented.... will you thank that person for introducing you to that casino?

The majority of people never take responsibility for their own actions and always want to shift the blame to someone else. If you are introduced to something and you cannot control your self .... stop doing it or get help.... and remember that the person that introduced this to you.. has no control over your actions or the casino where you are playing.  Roll Eyes

I do not know if you guys saw this ===> https://theanalyst.com/eu/2023/11/everton-points-deduction-what-the-10-point-penalty-means-for-their-survival-hopes/

I quote : The Premier League’s statement read: “Following a five-day hearing last month, the Commission determined that Everton FC’s PSR Calculation for the relevant period resulted in a loss of £124.5 million, as contended by the Premier League, which exceeded the threshold of £105m permitted under the PSRs. The Commission concluded that a sporting sanction in the form of a 10-point deduction should be imposed. That sanction has immediate effect.”

The question are..... Why is Stake.com still sponsoring clubs like this? They are virtually bankrupt and not good for the reputation of a world leading online casino like Stake.com.  Roll Eyes

Simple answer, they have a contract. At least that's the most logical answer.
And I don't see it bad for reputation. Stake wants exposure and their logo still will be seen every game day in the EPL, what moore can you hope for.
The British are the most notorious gamblers in Europe, every city, even the small ones, has several betting shops. So whats the most obvious place to promote a gambling site.  Grin
And needless to say that the EPL is also the most watched league in football.

Yes, I know they signed a contract with them... but you should include certain performance requirements with these contracts to make sure that you get value for your money. Also.... sponsoring a EPL team is a financial transaction and Everton has shown that they cannot handle their own finances.

Stake.com has to protect it's Brand .....and should use this to end the relationship after the contract expire. Remember one thing.... these financial problems has been going on for years now, it is not as if this has happened over night.

Winners back winners.... not teams that suck up money and end up as bottom feeders on the rankings each year. While they are splashing money on sponsorships... why not chose teams that deserve it.  Roll Eyes
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Largest crypto exchange CEO arrested! Anyone getting deja vu? on: November 22, 2023, 05:26:50 AM
Ok, so CZ has to be the fall guy in this and the company goes on as normal, under the rules and regulations that are stipulated by the SEC. This is why centralized organizations are easy targets for governments and why they can milk them like cows, whenever they want to.  Roll Eyes

Also shows you that it is all about money..... and topping up the government's pockets. Let's hope they take with one hand and gives with the other.... by approving the BlackRock application.  Roll Eyes
565  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Sypheon Online on: November 21, 2023, 06:22:06 AM
I come from the era when we still played text-based games like BatMUD. BatMud is a legendary, text-based, medieval fantasy game (MUD and RPG)..... online since 1990. This was one of the most addictive games I have ever played and it kept me hooked for years.  Roll Eyes

I think it was a good decision not to go the ICO token route, because most people feel those tokens are a waste of time. It has no utility other than the in-game items and most developers pre-mine those tokens to enrich themselves.  Roll Eyes

The introduction of stable coins are also a good decision, because too much volatility will have too much influence on how people play the game. (Example : Collecting [farming] and hoarding coins and only playing when the price of the coin is spiking)

I look forward to seeing the end product and will surely give it a try. (Most younger people only play games with good graphics and do not get the fun that can be achieved with text based games)
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 21, 2023, 06:02:25 AM
I see it like this :

I will explain the gambling pattern of two types of gamblers, below

Gambler 1 - [ betting ....$1 ==========================================================================================================
==========================================================================================================
======================================================================================] Total spend after 7 days = $5000

Gambler 2 - [ betting for fun ..... Day1 $1 ======================  spend => $100 .... Day2 $1 ======================== spend $150 ...etc...] Total spend after 7 days = $1000

Now let's say Gambler 1 persisted and managed to win a small Jackpot of say $3000 ........ what was his end result ===> minus $2000  Roll Eyes

What I am trying to say is this, the longer you play... the less you will win in the end..... so just play for fun and if you win... it will be a bonus.
567  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Implications of War on Individuals on: November 21, 2023, 05:49:56 AM
Yes, unfortunately most people agree that there are no winners in a War and the people that are suffering the most... are the women and children that are left behind. (When elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers ... African proverb, meaning that the weak get hurt in conflicts between the powerful.)

People in conflict zones has to focus on survival and also protecting their family.... so that should be their primary objective. (Food / Water / Safety)  The other things will become important when you are safe and when your family are fed and healthy.

Tips :

1. Hide you wealth. (Jewelry and things you can sell, when you return to your country)
2. Get away from the conflict zone.
3. Do anything to protect your family
4. Be willing to do any job. (You might have been a company director before the war, but you must be willing to wash dishes to get money)
5. Convert some money into Crypto, because it can help you to transfer your wealth to another country. (Bitcoin has no borders)

568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to fulfill my mother's dream of building a house with Bitcoin. on: November 21, 2023, 05:37:08 AM
You know, most of the young people today seem to think the world owe them something, but that is a big mistake. I take my hat off to the ones that are willing to put in the hard work to achieve their goals.

I started working a month after I left school and I paid for my own studies from that salary and then earned more money to pay for more education and then applied for a better job with a bigger salary... I bought my own car and I bought my own house, without the help of my parents.... and that is how it is supposed to be.

I do not know where things have gone wrong, where children seem to think that the parents must pay for everything.  Roll Eyes

Is anyone else having trouble with spinning the wheel? I've tried it about a dozen times in two separate time intervals and it just won't spin. It's not my connection, as everything else works fine, but seeing as no one else has talked about it in the thread today, I guess it's a one-off problem.

A few mentioned it here including me - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=319540.msg63185586#msg63185586

I have tried all the usual things like flushing the browser cache and also trying other browsers, but the wheel has just stop spinning for me. I have had this before and it resolved it self, so I guess the problem is on their side.

In any way, I do not know why I am even trying to spin it anymore... it only gives a small amount of Satoshi and never anything else. Have anyone actually won something bigger than the small rewards?
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you in profit? on: November 20, 2023, 05:51:05 AM
I can without a doubt say ==> NO

We know the old saying that says, if you continue gambling, then the house will eventually win..... well, that is applicable to me. I had won a few Jackpots in the past and it had kept me going for a few years, but over time.. I lost more than what I gained.  Tongue

We know casinos let's you win small amounts ....just to keep you gambling and there are a small amount of people that are winning those big amounts, but they are scarce.

We feel like that hamster in the wheel.... running but getting nowhere.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
572  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: November 20, 2023, 05:42:42 AM
These days, you put a Slot in "auto bet" and watch the balance going down very quickly.... what is the fun in that? The games are supposed to entertain you.... not just drain your money in a few minutes, even if you are betting the minimum bet.

Are you referring to the 3rd party slot games or the slot originals? Because the RTP on slot games for 3rd party is just the same to casino offering it.

But I do agree when it comes to their house games. Not only to slot game but also on other game like blackjack including their exclusive table on evolution gaming. Their games is extra hard to win compared when I’m playing to different casino. I’m telling this with my portfolio on positive side even on Stake. I notice this extra difficulty to win because my game is so slow here because I frequently lose and can’t get a long streak while I can easily get it on other casino.

I only relying on increased bet as main factor to win here and not through the streak.

It is actually the same for the 3rd party Slots and the original games..... because I play all of them. I used to play Scarab Spin for hours and also "Mines" and "Crash" .... but lately I only seem to lose all the time. Previously you continuously won small amounts and it kept you going for a few hours, but lately it shamelessly just burn through your bankroll and you sit there watching the money going down the drain.  Roll Eyes

Just look at how "Plinko" has changed..... back then people frequently hit 1000x with a good Seed at about 40 000 bets... but now you are lucky if you hit it at above 200 000 bets.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

This has been my argument with people for a long time... they will say things like "Bitcoin is just numbers on a Blockchain" and I will agree with them, but what is the numbers in your Bank account and those numbers in the Banks centralized database.  Roll Eyes

The major difference between Fiat and Bitcoin is this.... Bitcoin has a fixed number of bitcoins VS Fiat money that are printed like toilet paper by Centralized Banks or Fractional reserve banking practices.
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I got started with Bitcoin and how it is blessing for me? on: November 20, 2023, 05:24:54 AM
Yes, I think a lot of people experienced the same thing.... they bought small amounts over a long period and then suddenly the price increased and they could sell for a huge profit.

I bought my first bitcoins when the Bitcoin price were +/- $300 and much to my surprise, the price went up to $1000 and then all the way up to $18000 and then down to $3000 and then again up to $40 000+ where I eventually sold for a massive profit.  Grin

This was a huge boost for my financial status at the time and I managed to improve my living conditions drastically.  Cool
575  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: November 19, 2023, 12:45:36 PM
I sometimes wonder if casinos like Stake play their own games and what they think of the influence it has on their players? I have been with Stake.com since it started.... and I can tell you, the RTP is bad now.

In the beginning they had only a few games, but they added third party Slots and a Sport betting side... and it was fun to gamble there, because people won jackpots regularly and you could play for hours with a small amount of money.

These days, you put a Slot in "auto bet" and watch the balance going down very quickly.... what is the fun in that? The games are supposed to entertain you.... not just drain your money in a few minutes, even if you are betting the minimum bet.

I think they should focus more on improving the RTP and reducing the marketing budget, because casinos can acquire only so much new people.... until the market are tapped. ( A good RTP retain the gamblers that are there... )
576  Economy / Economics / Re: When Was the Last Time you Came Across a Positive Economic News? on: November 19, 2023, 12:31:00 PM
All is not "Doom and Gloom" my friend, you just need to look for the small things that gets reported to see the light shining through the darkness. In my country we have a energy crisis, but they recently reported that more and more businesses and families are investing in Solar, so that are helping the environment ...because that is "green" and renewable energy.  Wink

We should never forget that we are in a recovery cycle of the world economy, after Covid and the wars in the Ukraine and Israel are dampening the global economy at the moment.  Tongue

It is always so funny when these analysts suck future prices out of their thumbs.  Roll Eyes Yes, IF the ETF is approved, demand for Bitcoin might increase... but what happens if something else goes wrong and it cause the opposite affect?

We know negative news has a much bigger affect on the price, so it just takes one small hack or one politician making some shitty comment for the price to go down again.

Let's just keep buying... and what will happen... will happen.  Roll Eyes
578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What lies ahead for Bitcoin in the coming days? on: November 19, 2023, 12:16:09 PM
No matter what people predict, nothing will go they way people will say it will happen. Everyone are saying the possible approval of the Bitcoin ETF, will increase the price, but something else can go wrong and that might push the Bitcoin price down.

It takes only one significant event to push the Bitcoin price down, because negative news has a bigger influence on the price, than positive news has. Let's say a major Exchange gets hacked or some government ban it again, like we saw with China.  Roll Eyes
579  Economy / Economics / Re: Boycotting iSrAEl's product? think again. on: November 17, 2023, 06:15:56 AM
It all depends on who the major shareholders of these franchises are, because those people are the ones that are targeted. The franchises that you mentioned are mostly from Western countries and we know the West are supporting Israel in this War.

The sad part is, those companies ( franchisor ) usually have lots of local franchisees that are buying the rights to operate under their name, so the local business are usually operated by a local business owner and the staff working for him are also coming from the local community.

The boycott might damage the franchisor a little bit, but these companies are global, so they just expand into more countries where there are no hostilities against them.

The people suffering the most are the local business owner and his employees.  Roll Eyes
580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you bet on when your league is in break? on: November 17, 2023, 06:02:10 AM
Well, Sport is a seasonal thing.....

My favorite Sports to gamble on are Rugby and Cricket and Volleyball, so the one might be a Winter Sport and the other one might be a Summer Sport, but seasons differ from country to country, so the championships follow the seasons and you might have one championship being hosted locally when it is say Winter and then when that is done, the same Sport is played in a different championship in another country where it is Winter again.  Grin

I will also start betting on other Sports like Boxing or UFC or Tennis in the off season, even though that might not be my favorite Sport to bet on.  Wink
