381  Economy / Economics / Re: Habits that can lead to your financial failure in 2024 on: January 05, 2024, 07:03:42 AM
I will add "self-indulgence", because we tend to waste money on things that are not neccesary. Just calculate how much money are spend on takeaway food every month and see how much money would have been saved, if you made all of those meals yourself.

How many people waste lots of money on smoking and drinking and not looking after their health. Let's spend our money wisely and not wastefully.  Wink
382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 05, 2024, 05:46:50 AM
Let's imagine for a moment that you can bet say $0.20 bets for 1 hour and then suddenly increase the bet size to say $5 to win a much bigger jackpot, would it not bankrupt the casino, if that worked every time. Huh

The system unfortunately does not work that way, each bet is unique and it has nothing to do with the previous bets or your future bets. Sport betting is a bit different, because your odds and your bet size determine the amount you win.

You do not know what the outcome will be, so you take a risk on the odds to place your bet. If your odds are 30:1 ...would you have taken the risk to bet a higher amount?
383  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: January 05, 2024, 05:35:13 AM
I also consider one of the basic elements of success to be the reliance on the BitcoinTalk forum, whether to launch advertising campaigns or to be an official channel for communicating with the community. Stake platform representatives on the forum are very active, and activity on the official announcement does not stop either.

Activity on the forum could give the brand a huge boost and strengthen its position in the crypto gambling market. We do not forget that bitcointalk is the largest crypto space in history and that it will be difficult to impose its presence in this market without relying on it. All platforms that started their journey in this way have succeeded and have been followed for years.

Please show me where Stake platform representatives are very active on this forum?

Yea, you are correct... there are almost zero interaction, apart from the occasional Stake promotions that are posted. I think they should hire someone specifically for that purpos, like some of the other sites are doing on this forum.

I think they reckon, if someone needs information.. they can contact the 24/7 customer support and those staff will provide it. It would be a valid point, but open communication on this forum, will reduce the call load on those people.
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin fees and how we accept its volatility on: January 05, 2024, 05:24:13 AM
You can always use the "Lightning Network" if you want to use Bitcoin as a currency, because the transaction fees are much lower and the confirmation time is also much faster.

The congestion on the Blockchain are caused by things like Ordinals, but Miners push through those times and it gets much better over time. We are hoping the developers will find a way to reduce the "spam attacks" that are caused by those types of projects.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the perception of people about gamblers in your neighborhood? on: January 04, 2024, 07:03:18 AM
There are always some negative connotation when it comes to gambling and people who gamble. The average Joe see that activity as being irresponsible and addictive.

There are also many religions that do not allow gambling, so if you or the community around you, belong to one of those religions, then this activity will be frowned apon.

I am lucky.... my neighbours do not care to put their nose in my business and even if they did, I would not have given a damn about what they thought about my personal activities.  Wink
386  Economy / Economics / Re: How is it possible to say there is no money in the bank on: January 04, 2024, 06:51:42 AM
The majority of countries use loans from strong first world countries to fund their large government projects or to supplement their national budget. The government expenses are usually a lot more than what taxpayers can contribute to the national budget, so then loans are used to make up for the deficit.

Banks also never keep all the money that are deposited, they loan that money to other people and only keep a small % of that to honor withdrawals. If there are a "Bank Run" and a lot of people start withdrawing money at the same time, then they can run out of money.

387  Economy / Gambling / Re: sportscasino.io no kyc instant payments on: January 04, 2024, 06:35:28 AM
Hi, guys

sportscasino.io  requires no kyc, delivers instant payments. Amazing sportsbook and casino experience.

Please share your thoughts here.

So, will this be for the first 6 months of operation, until the regulators trace you and flag you? A lot of the new casinos does this as a "funding" phase and then they kick the people from the restricted countries to the curb.

We know this whole "No KYC" thing is just a marketing tool to get people to fund their operation. People can signup for this, but they should get a time-frame until when this will be applied.  Roll Eyes
388  Economy / Gambling / Re: TrustDice's x5 wager requirement only applies to the 1st deposit on: January 04, 2024, 06:25:28 AM
Thanks for the clarification but I still miss to understand the reason of this singular requirement needed to withdraw : I could understand and agree with a 1x wager requisite with the AML explanation, but then am lost again when I read that any further deposit need no wager at all to be withdraw-able opening the field to a possibility of ML.

Most casinos only require a wager requirement when they offer some kind of bonus with your deposit. So, I also do not see why a wager requirement is neccesarry for deposits without a bonus?

In any way... I avoid casinos with wager requirements, because it always leads to conflict. Why do you want to anger new customers with misleading requirements on their deposits?

389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you actually think a Bitcoin ETF will be accepted this month? on: January 04, 2024, 05:27:06 AM
I think the BlackRock ETF application has a high chance to be approved, because they had multiple opportunities to review and also to correct their mistakes. The SEC has to have solid reasons not to approve it and they will have to be ready to defend it... if it is not approved.

The decision is more based on political agendas for the upcoming elections, so it can go both ways, depending on who is supporting it.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Do you believe in "Enhanced RTP" in some slots? on: January 03, 2024, 05:55:42 AM
I see some slot providers are offering slot games with "enhanced RTP" or even a option to increase the bet amount to increase the chances of you hitting the FREE spin feature.

Do you actually believe that this is a real feature and that it does give you a higher chance to win? I think it might be real, but it is insignificantly higher than your normal RTP. ( 0.5% to 1% better )

Have you played these games and have you seen any difference in your win percentage?
391  Economy / Economics / Re: And the most worthless fiat currency of 2023 was: The Iranian Rial! on: January 03, 2024, 05:46:43 AM
Have you considered that the western sanctions against Iran has anything to do with it? This is why countries like Iran are joining economic groups like BRICS and also why these countries wants to ditch the US Dollar as a global reserve currency.

I am very curious to see if these BRICS countries will grow economically, after they dropped the US Dollar and starts to settle trades with their local Fiat currency or with some new digital currency.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why are casinos adding sportsbook on their platform? on: January 03, 2024, 05:38:42 AM
I think it is an easy feature to add to the site, because this is run by a third party service. Those sites also has to compete with 1000s of other sites out there and Sport betting gives them the edge over their competitors.

I also see Stake.com gives you 3 times faster progression through the VIP ranks, if you gamble more on Sports betting... so they obviously get more money back from that.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How possible is it to win lottery 14 times using mathematics calculations on: January 03, 2024, 05:31:20 AM
Well, mathematics comes into play when you buy a significant amount of tickets, but the risk also increase significantly. Let's say you bought 80% of the availlable tickets for the draw, then you have a much higher chance to win the Lottery, than the person that has bought one or two tickets.

The thing is, how much did you spend to buy all those tickets and how much will you lose if you do not win with all those tickets. Lottery winning odds are crazy... so it is almost impossible to win 14 times in a row, even if you buy 80% of those tickets.
394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What we all learnt this 2023 on: January 03, 2024, 05:21:40 AM
$100 000 per Bitcoin can still be reached, if the ETF are approved in the US. A lot of these speculators thought that the decision would have  been made in December, but that did not happen.

Telegram is a nest full of scammers and criminals ... so most serious Bitcoiners stay away from that platform for advice.

There are more shitcoins and investment schemes out there, than what most people know about, but people do not care to do proper research before they dump money into it...  they are just too greedy.
395  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: January 02, 2024, 06:40:20 AM
Well, I am not going to quote my last post, but I actually posted that I am hoping Stake will not sign any huge contracts with celebrities and Sport teams and now Stake announced their title partnership for the Formula One. 🙄

It is not as if I am not happy with Stake marketing their site, but I think there are way too much money that are spend on that. Can you imagine all the money spend on sponsoring Soccer/UFC/Drake/Formula 1 and all those paid streamers?

I would have ditched the Soccer team after their contract expired... they are bottom feeders and always close to relegation.  Roll Eyes
396  Economy / Economics / Re: Ditching US dollar on: January 02, 2024, 06:04:14 AM
This de-dollarization attempt by the BRICS countries have been around for years, but it has only recently been aggresively pushed by some of the countries in BRICS.

One of the major reasons why they are pushing for it are the sanctions from the West (including the USA) .. so these countries wants to ditch SWIFT payments to bypass the restrictions that are applied to their international transactions.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health concern on: January 02, 2024, 05:53:27 AM
Yea, I think this is a bigger problem with online casinos, because in most cases... people gamble on their own. I have seen old people going to brick n mortar casinos with mobile Oxygen tanks, so they are very sick... but still gambling.

This is not a big issue with brick n mortar casinos, because they have people with basic first-aid training on staff.. to assist in an emergency. These people can help.. until proffesional medical personal arrive via ambulance. 👌
398  Economy / Gambling / Re: [poorbot.io] | Exchanger for Stake - fast, cheap, simple on: January 02, 2024, 05:44:01 AM
I cannot see why they would have a problem with your bot, if they allow Dinabot to operate via their site. Dinabot is also not affiliated with them, so they take no responsibility for that service.

I can assure you, if something goes wrong... Stake support staff will block that account and the tipping to that account. Good luck with your project, I will give it a try.  Grin
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rollercoaster of emotions. How to deal with? on: January 02, 2024, 05:27:48 AM
This is the same for all "newbie" investors in Bitcoin, because they are too excited to be invested in a technology that are very different than any other investment option out there. My best advice for you are to invest what you can and also to ignore the short term volatility.

Bitcoin can be used as a "Currency" or as a speculative "Commodity"... so if you use it as a currency, then low volatility should not matter too much, because you spend the bitcoins when the price increase... on the other hand.. buying and hoarding Bitcoin as a commodity, should be seen as a long-term investment... where you ignore short-term volatility in the price.
400  Economy / Gambling / Re: Powerball btc on: January 01, 2024, 04:47:55 PM
You will really have to go the extra mile to convince people that your Lottery are provably fair, because most Lottery systems out there are rigged. (pre-recorded draws / weighted balls etc.)

There has been a lot of users that has tried this and it has failed every time. There has even been an on-chain lottery on the Blockchain and it was rumored that those casinos were rigged by Miners.  Tongue
