Seeing Bull Run for the couple of days

a good indicators of mining profitability for existing miners

a good chance also for traders

but Still I'm not buying new rigs as of the moment

Let's dig out miners!

HI everybody i am having a issue on my Claymore config.

I am minning on Nanopool to a Coinpayments wallet.

My start is:
NsGpuCNMiner.exe -xpool stratum+ssl://xmr-eu1.nanopool.org:14433 -xwal wallet-adress.paymentID.rig_name/my@email -xpsw x -pow7 1

I have 6 RX570n and driver 17.11.1 with all cards in compute mode, it claymore ethereum is working properly

Any one has an idea of what this is ?

My command line output is:

As a matter of fact there's no need for a third party app. I've added a DWORD in registry for the cards and hashrates in CastXMR have gone up by over 10%. I am assuming this would solve the problems I was having with Claymore. I'll test it later when I get some time.

Oh yeah, that also should do it.

Posting it here for sharing

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000]
"KMD_EnableInternalLargePage"=dword:00000002

Keep us posted if it solved your issue bro

Can anyone advise what should I be using for Special Edition RX580 Sapphire Nitro+ with Micron memory 8 GB. I get 1220/2200 with 900/900 only 860h/s... using an ETH bios mod tho, dunno where I can find a bios mod for cryptonight heavy

there are folks offering a Bios mod/Performance timing per gpus with a decent price

https://mining-bios.eu/

I don't tried them yet personally, as I'm satisfied with custom straps made also for ETH

565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.3 on: April 20, 2018, 12:30:13 PM
Having some issues with the latest version and my RX570's...

"Pools that require "Login.Worker" instead of wallet address are not supported directly currently"  - so I assume that's why I'm getting rejected if I try to mine on miningpoolhub?

If I try eg Nanopool, I get error "cannot convert blob data", shit hashrate and GPUs hanging in opencl...

Very weird.
Any ideas anyone?

What drivers are you using? Login.worker should be fine as long as you are using -allpools 1 options

blockchain drivers are recommended, are these errors solely on this miner? how about try other miners?

Using the latest Adrenalin 18.3.4 drivers.
Other miners work (using CastXMR at the moment - been using SRBminer too). Was just hoping I could extract more performance out of Claymore's miner... but that isn't so at all at the moment.

EDIT: could it be linked with "compute" mode not being forced? I have not installed Radeon Settings. Can I force compute mode using the miner (or another third party app)?

Yep, a third party app would do

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2815803.0

I am still using the old blockchain driver and as long as it hashes well, I don't need to change it

btw 18.3.4 seems useful on vega cards

I'm starting to think though that AV's don't trust crypto's as a default  Cheesy

Can't blame them, as these miners are also susceptible to attacks if not properly configured

so if you trust your miner, add them in AV exceptions
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: gpu bubble well and truly bursting on: April 20, 2018, 09:03:08 AM

Luckily, GPU mining =/= ETH.  ETH made its decision, time to get over with it.

Actually, ETH === GPU mining.

You're a legendary account and you should know by now that if and when ETH moves to POS. All those 8 million GPUs will mine the shit out of any and all those other coins you mentioned. Difficulty for the entire mining scene will increase and only the industrial miners with almost free electricity will remain.

Nah..

Real miner knows what to dig, and unfortunately ETH is not that profitable compared to other coins

AFAIK, GPU's already started out seeking other coins to mine than eth, interestingly that the difficulty right now might be an ASIC mining somewhere

added some stupid vitalik declaration not to go against ASIC for the meantime

Is it possible to autorun claymore each time I boot the PC ? I have to config win scheduler?

Yes, Just add your .bat file to your Startup folder

in Win10

Hold down the Windows key, and type R.
Type: shell:startup.
Click OK.

Hello. I use Claymore with nicehash pool to mine. I want to ask which pool is better for mining ETH or ALTcoins.

Depends on what coins you want to mine, nicehash pays on BTC, if you want other pools to pay with same btc miningpoolhub offers auto exchange with your mining payout.

For ETH recommended is Ethermine.org though you are paid in ETH so basically you need an eth wallet

572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RavenCoin (RVN), x16r NVidia miner. UPD! Windows version on: April 18, 2018, 12:58:42 AM

Hi rvwf :

Is that possible for you to create a Bitcore optimized ccminer ? Bitcore use timetravel10 hash function and quite close to x16r did ...

Oskar

hmm pretty much looks like an ccminer generally , but did you remove the API of it ? Or will you implement new one ? I'm using ethcontrol application which is like awesome miner and it needs api to restart / control miner
also what overclocking do you recommend ? You used to say that it depends memory  ?

First I want to squeeze the maximum of the performance from x16r

Any default power consumption on these miner for 1080ti?

observed it is hotter

ccminer has a visible power consumption on each card, appreciate if it has also this kind of feature
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: question on multi gpu with asus z87 pro v edition on: April 18, 2018, 12:27:37 AM
I have this Board, it rocks for a year with 5 GPU,  I discourage you to use ribbon type risers as it gets power from your mother board and burn it, use powered USB riser instead.

though I did not try them on 6 or 7 GPU due to PSU limitation 850W

tks all, this problem is solved after removing Intel driver

which Intel drivers did you delete? I'm getting the same error

I thought that was for CryptonightV7 ? I asking about Cryptonight lite V7

Oh my Bad, it is for V7 not for Litev7

Unfortunately, you could use other miner for Cryptonightlite V7

576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.3 on: April 17, 2018, 11:16:10 AM
Does this miner support lite v7 ?

Yes, just use -pow7 in your .bat file

From first page:

Code:
- added "-pow7" option to support Monero hardfork, use "-pow7 1" value to enable it.

577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.3 on: April 17, 2018, 10:29:19 AM
Supported CryptoNight variations:
– Cryptonight
– Cryptonight V7
– Cryptonight Lite
– Cryptonight Lite V7
– Cryptonight Heavy
– Cryptonight UltraHeavy

SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner for All Your CryptoNight Needs

Linux supported?

Not yet, hope the dev considers it

Supported CryptoNight variations:
– Cryptonight
– Cryptonight V7
– Cryptonight Lite
– Cryptonight Lite V7
– Cryptonight Heavy
– Cryptonight UltraHeavy

SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner for All Your CryptoNight Needs

...and another disadvantage of SRBminer is that it has a dev fee whereas Claymore's Cryptonight miner is now completely free to use.
Dev fees usually result in a higher "fee" to the user than the base Dev Fee as all the stopping and restarting of the miner results in more lost mining time.

I don't see it as a disadvantage as dev fee is normal to have a decent miner, Claymore is now free however the support might already stopped too
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: teamviewer connection issue with claymore v11.6 on: April 16, 2018, 09:54:04 PM
It can be a driver issue, when driver crashes when you closing claymore window, teamviewer lost visual connection. Nvidia have a feature that gpu memory frequency can jump up or down when gpu change pstate. So try lower memory frequency or test without oc

Or, when Claymore miner closes the system restarts, teamviewer will lost connection

Possibilities are driver / clock issues

@OP,

What are your cards, OS and driver installed, are they modded?
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.3 on: April 16, 2018, 09:51:54 AM
can somone help with the command line for hardfork monero ( does this mean i can use it for v7 or heavy or lite ?? )

You can't use this in Heavy

for v7

   NsGpuCNMiner.exe -xpool stratum+tcp://mine.moneropool.org:80 -xwal YOURWALLET -xpsw x -pow7 1

For Lite

   NsGpuCNMiner.exe -xpool stratum+tcp://mine.moneropool.org:80 -xwal YOURWALLET -xpsw x -lite 1
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: All you home mining farms...how do you keep it cool? on: April 16, 2018, 02:47:29 AM
So I moved my rig into the basement hallway.  No windows except stairs going straight to the kitchen which I have exhaust fan in the kitchen and.  I have an industrial fan blowing it at the rig...it seems to be working however, being that it's actually warmer today (70's in NY) and I see some of the GPU's are going into the low 70s which it worries me because I think it'll go even higher in the summer.  Currently the kitchen exhaust fan is showing 85 degrees...  So my question is...how do you guys do it to keep your mining farm cool (if you have an enclosed space like mine).   I thinking couple of box fans on each side of the shelf or better yet, get a 13000 btu portable ac and build an air duct that blows cold air directly to my GPU's (that's the last resort since it's the most expensive way).

Any ideas?

a/c is way very expensive aside from adding electricity cost

What I could see is that you don't have enough fresh air intake and more of the exhaust air going to your kitchen

If I were you, I will basically create a Fresh air from outside then drive hot air again out

I was thinking on these, 1 intake and 2 exhaust

https://www.amazon.com/HVHF-12COMBO-Cylinder-Velocity-Portable/dp/B004GHNKU0/ref=pd_sbs_236_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B004GHNKU0&pd_rd_r=R7B9R95DDAAA2XZWZ59P&pd_rd_w=Uv0sH&pd_rd_wg=GNAsq&psc=1&refRID=R7B9R95DDAAA2XZWZ59P

I see this on a basement type of mining were no windows and only doors available
