561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MonaCoin is the *100 Coin, it will be $1000 soon, you heard it here FIRST! on: October 23, 2017, 11:24:55 PM
ADA is to new has to many coins out and they dont seem to like it
MONA is becoming more widely accepted and about to go through a very large add campaign in Tokyo
I would not underestimate the Japanese in their embracing of Crypto much less a crypto they are patriotic too considering their own
In the US for example how many people out of 100 do you know ( in person) that have/own cryptocurrency ?  for me zero unless I gave them a Satori coin.
In Japan a country that is fully embracing crypto if only 10% of consumers start using MONA in the next year I believe $25 USD is not out of reach. I think conservatively $5 to $7 in November but continued growth threw out 2018 IMO

Have a great week all !

Japan loves hard cash though. In many places it's completely impossible to get service if you can't pay in cash.

And there's also another crypto that tries to cater to the Japanese market, so it'd take a miracle for MonaCoin to do what this thread claims.

yeh I agree its not coming close to this threads claims.  Fiji coin isn't doing to well, just have to see how they respond to marketing MONA which starts on the 25th Tokyo time.  Will be interesting Smiley

major bounce from the 400's , its currently #8 in market cap @ $565 M

Ripple has a $7.62 B  cap  so the potential is there for at least half of that, just broke 600's

Good thread to retrieve information from many crypto enthusiast whether this person has btc or not Smiley

so hypothetically if I had 100 BTC today and keeping in mind its up 1000% in the last year

1. Cash out 65 BTC
2. Buy a small working farm able to sustain itself off the grid ( paid for no mortgage)
3. of the 35 left keep 20 btc
4. of the remaining 15, 5 BTC for charitable organizations such as Children's make a wish and or help some homeless
5. 10 BTC left
20% DASH  flexibility, 20% LTC team, 20% QTUM team, 20% MONA Japan's growing crypto, 20% Gold/Silver

enjoy life

well the Akihabara publicity campaign starts next week in Tokyo and last a full week. I think this will get it back around $5 and it will consolidate in that area for a while.  These crypto's are a little different than stocks but I think I prefer them now

What price do you think it could reach in the next months? seems like you know what youre talking about

It hit $5 plus a month sooner than I thought it would, I think with its decent coin structure it will settle in the $5 to $7 (range trading) during the promotion and could peak at $9 in November. That's just normal trading with no investor groups.  Its still the wild wild west Smiley

another thing to look at as far as should I sell part of my collection/investment is, what % of my net worth is in crypto. Is it 40% or more...

If you have increased your net worth 10 x or so on a particular investment in a relative short time you would want to start to diversify your assets. Protect your capital, Land (Tree Farm) / rental property, Stock, a business, Silver/Gold and other collectibles.

just my 2 satoshi  Smiley

They are speculating by the end of the month DistrictOx will have Bazaaar open and that will be their first marketplace. I see big things happening around the corner and this should get pretty interesting in the next couple of days and weeks! I say HODL!

ahh nice, this is a very interesting project

Oke just bought in at 0.00001150

I believe the price will be 0.00001450 at minimum by Monday, and based on its bullish upward movement at times, wouldn't be surprised if we see it peak at 1700-2000+ when FOMO lands.

Screenshot this post Kiss

agree, this one has quick high spikes I also like it six months out

Can anyone point to any successful sales of high denomination coins like these in recent times? All I can see are examples that appear to linger for years on end.

I suspect that many holders of 10s are unwilling to accept a BTC price lower than what they paid for the coin. This means many are unwilling to let them go for less than 16-18.

I also suspect that the phenomenon of Casascius coins holding their premiums in terms of BTC is over, and that sellers turn down any reasonable offers at their own peril. I expect BTC premiums to continue to drop.

But hey, what do I know?

Lol @ "sellers turn down any reasonable offers at their own peril".

How do you define reasonable? What might the peril be? Stuck with a terribly shiny token for a few more years?  Tongue

It's just a thin market with unmotivated sellers. They have a rare and desirable thing, so they can ask whatever they want, for as long as they want. Maybe a motivated buyer will come along and meet their ask, maybe not. Maybe it sits in storage for a few more years.

I thought that was your coin Smiley   These things will just be swapping with millionaires now and in the future. Im a little salty the tax man got most my collection but I have a couple of super tenths and some other cool coins. It wont be long (couple years) before these 10 btc and higher loaded coins will have to sell at Sotheby's  like rare cars sell.  Congrats on your investment !

hanging tuff in the $3.40- $3.50 USD  area

The market is pausing after such a strong rally.

The most important thing happened. People are now aware of MONA and I believe that the marketing campaign starting end of October will attract many new buyers.

My personal objective is now 10$

I think so too, especially after that week of media exposure coming up
