561  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [17-11-10]Japan’s Legalization of BTC Led to Rapid Surge in Mainstream Adoption on: November 20, 2017, 05:14:13 PM
I think that in the case of Japan, many countries in the next few years will be convinced of the effectiveness of crypto-currency payments and their positive impact on the economies of the countries and will massively transfer to settlements in the crypto-currency. Doubting and neutral to the crypto-currency countries will remain very little.
But japan has still adopted a secondary payment system approach towards bitcoin. It has not reinstated btc in place of yen. Question remains that till when BTC would make up a secondary economy? Will it ever be used as mainstream method of settlements?
562  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this Right time to Buy the Bitcoin ? on: November 20, 2017, 05:09:09 PM
If you are first time entrant and looking for long term hodling. Yes its a buy time bitcoin is $8200 till when are you going to wait? but yes if you are talking about short term gains then no its not really the buy time. its too bullish at this time. If you think optimistically it might shoot up any time soon but a more rational approach would be to let the price stabilize and then buy.

566  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin falls 20% a day on: November 19, 2017, 01:41:19 PM
Do you choose to hold or sell? I choose to continue holding.
 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Frankly speaking if its in course of a great fall I would rather sell it to buy it back at dip. There is quite a good amount of profit that you can earn this way too. I don't really find any problem in this. So rather than merely being a spectator I would like to be in action.
567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who here lives on crypto currency daily? on: November 19, 2017, 01:39:25 PM
I personally only use crypto currency nowadays. I have a bitcoin debit card (bitpay) that I use everyday to make any payments.

It is nice because I can receive money anywhere in the world and have it sent directly to my bitpay account and then spend it in a irl store within minutes.

What about you guys? Do you invest/trade/use crypto currency?

I live in NY btw
I earn whole from cryptocurrency but still live on fiat. I need to make frequent conversions to cash out in Fiat and to reinvest this withdrawn money to crypto is yet another hazzle for me. I am from India and trust me things are not quite fluid here for bitcoins and bitcoinists.
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners are your new slave masters on: November 19, 2017, 01:32:34 PM
When you put your money in cryptocurrencies, the miners will control your life.

If the miners decide to switch to another altcoin you cannot sell any of your coins - no matter which coin it is, even Bitcoin. If they reduce their efforts prices to transfer becomes extremely high. If you have a lot of your money in cryptocurrencies, the miners will become your new slave masters
Yes I think the recent changes have bitcoin much more centralized they are actually eliminating its very prior motive of decentralization. Every fork every change is being done on the basis of miner's support. Segwit2x which was in interest of common people was cancelled because it reduced miner's fees. sarcastically bitcoin saying the currency which is aiming at a decentralized world is itself being centralized.
569  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your goals in 2018? on: November 19, 2017, 01:28:33 PM
My Aim is certainly from the signature and other services to earn at least 1 or 2 BTC from the whole year so I could say that I hold a bitcoin. I think holding in decimals just doesn't counts you as a holder. I am also planning to figure out some good exchanges to start trading in alts.
570  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will it take for bitcoin to hit $50,000? And when will it happen? on: November 19, 2017, 01:13:16 PM
As I'm sure most of you are aware, the was a recent correction in the BTC price, falling from approx $7,500 back down to $6,000 in the last few days, mostly likely caused by the miners switching from BTC to BCH, and the massive BCH pump.

Now it seems $10,000 is again on the horizon despite no major news benefiting bitcoin as of late. So, what do you guys think needs to happen in order for BTC to reach $50,000, and when, if ever do you think it will occur?

For comparison the current market cap of BTC is $119B, whereas gold is $7T and $880B for Apple Corporation.

Hence to achieve $50,000 per coin, the market cap of BTC would need to approximately equal Apple.
All it requires is no government intervention in the way and you will soon see bitcoin flying up to around $50,000. Apart from that there is no need of any pumps to take btc to around $50000 pretty soon.
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Low transaction fees on: November 18, 2017, 08:51:28 PM
Whichever wallet you shift we all have to realize the fact that along with price of bitcoin btc transaction fees are increasing too and that too with a great pace. 3$ is a very standard usual fees to get your transaction done in an hour. So if you want to send someone $10 you will end up paying its 30% as a fees. I dont think bitcoin would prosper with such a system.
572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1.7 Trillion USD - and a question for bitcoin investors on: November 18, 2017, 08:47:37 PM
In the span of just a few months in 2000 the internet bubble burst and 280 companies lost 1.7 trillion USD in value. That is 13 times more than the entire market cap of Bitcoin (!). 13 times all of bitcoin in the world lost for comparison.

Almost a third of them lost more than 90% of their valuation. That means Bitcoin can easily go from 7700 USD now to 770 USD very quickly.

It is only now in 2017 - 17 years later - that the NASDAQ has regained what was lost in year 2000.

For all you bitcoin investors - would you be happy with seeing 90% of your value lost now, and then have to wait 17 years just to get back to where you are now?

Or is it time to cash in before it is too late?

http://money.cnn.com/2000/11/09/technology/overview/

Well, that was 2000, now it's 2017. Bitcoin technology is much secure and advanced than ever. Also, another plus point is, around 1/5th of peoples around globes(I guess), knows what is bitcoin and what's its future. Every day, thousands of new peoples joining bitcoin community. What do you think, why they're joining. Because many experienced economists already predicted that there will be 5-10X rise in value after 2018. So, no, I don't want to withdraw my bitcoin yet. Let wealth grow day by day..

Cheers for some bright future my friend..
I dont think the bitcoin is secure in terms of market volatility we have seen usual market crashes each day with falls of more than 30% not ordinarily seen in the stock market. If stock market can face such a fate bitcoins are no exception.

574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this for real ? another fork of bitcoin ? BITCOIN DIAMOND on: November 18, 2017, 08:39:55 PM
Not quite sure if its a fork or just another altcoin out of shell. Whatever it might be its aimless and direction less. Its not like anyone would just come up and split btc into two without any reason. Quite strange
575  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will increase to $100,000 says expert on: November 18, 2017, 02:17:46 PM
Yes Bitcoin might go upto this level but there are a lot of hindrances in its path. Among all the obstructions the government intervention are the biggest speed breakers on the road to bitcoin society. Which govt. in this world wants to give up control? Definitely apart from this it has full potential to reach this milestone.
576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit2X finally out of the game? on: November 17, 2017, 05:26:27 PM
Things are becoming really too tricky about segwit2x every minute comes with a whole new news regarding it. I am still not sure if its out of the game wont be suprised if some.exchanges credit it to your account in few hours.
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] VLB - The Ultimate Blockchain Fuel for the Vehicle Lifecycle Industry on: November 17, 2017, 05:01:01 PM
The vehicle industry is such an important niche, with good and organized planning this may spearhead mode of payment for automechanic services.
Yes moreover a smart innovative system of recording all the details about each car in a blockchain would be another interesting idea. Every car will always get the correct amount of repair it needs.
578  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1Btc=$10000 on: November 17, 2017, 04:53:36 PM
Don't you think Before December.a bitcoin could actually hit $10000
No, I know that christmas have always been quite merry for bitcoin but I still outmark the possibily of bitcoin climbing upto $10000 by this month's end. But you would surely see this in late january.
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Laundering on: November 17, 2017, 04:51:44 PM
Some say that you cant claim or transfer your bitcoin to a bank because they will suspect you of laundering.

So if youre using Bitcoin, youre basically a laundering and a criminal Huh

I just want to understand if its any different or just similar. Thank you
No not in any world are you committing a crime if you are earning some bitcoins. Most of the countries have no laws regarding bitcoin as a currency. But you have to make sure just one thing that do pay tax upon your earned btc when you transfer it to your bank I think rest of it is almost fine.
