401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: cryptocurrency that you think is a good long term investment. on: January 23, 2018, 09:01:10 PM
Okay give me suggestion for cryptocurrency that you think is a good long term investment. Something with a strong team, providing an actual important service/solution, an overall extremely credible. suggestions also welcome. Just value must rise.
EDO or eidoo. They have a great team working behind which aims at creating a private key ethereum wallet and exchange for both ether and its tokens just like a centralized etherdelta on mobile. With this I think the whole world of ethereum can be revolutionized but make sure you buy it in a dip its been quite volatile lately.
402  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2018 the downfall of bitcoin? on: January 23, 2018, 08:58:04 PM
*Newbie Here!* Because of fluctuations in the value of bitcoin, is 2018 going to be the biggest downfall of bitcoin? What do you think?
The recent fluctuation in the price has just been due to some FUD related to bitcoin. These include incidents of Indian banks scanning off crypto exchanges accounts, bitcoin futures coming to an end, south korea taxing bitcoin and much more. I don't really think its the end. If all these things contribute to good this might be the new beginning for bitcoin in terms of how governments view it.

404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) is going crazy. on: January 19, 2018, 05:04:57 PM
TRON (TRX) gained over 4,000% in the last month and passed $5 Billion market cap. Do you think it will get to top 10?

Trx has a good team behind it. After IOTA i think it is the second coin which is gaining such popularity. The token has most of its volume from binance moreover whats more inquisitive is that its trading volume has even left behind USDT/BTC trading volume of some exchanges. Its coming up with some doggies game too on 22 Jan so I expect further more increase in value with advent of such creative games. We saw the same when kitties came to the ether blockchain.
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $200,000,000,000 scam in Bitcoin ?? on: January 19, 2018, 05:01:24 PM
21,000,000 bitcoins x $20,000 = $420,000,000,000

How did market capitalization of Bitcoin was shown as $650,000,000,000 ??  Huh

Rule says not more than 21,000,000 Bitcoins will mined
You have been a bit wrong in calculation my friend. Current supply of bitcoin is just around 16,812,450 BTC while the price which floats now is near about 11811. Bitcoin until now hasn't even gone passed 300 when it comes to the maximum market cap. Which obviously went when it touched the price of as you said 20k or to be more price $19.6K. So chill out the capitalization you are talking about which obviously is show on the top of coinmarketcap is of all the cryptocurrencies combined.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ripple Going To Reach 10,000$ By 2020? on: January 19, 2018, 04:46:42 PM
A very far reached dream for something like Ripple. Banks and the white world seems to be on the side of ripple but the crypto world hates this currency for sure just because it offers a great deal of centralization.

Now answer to your question. First of all its the crypto folks who invest in a coin to boom its value not the banks. Let's even imagine a situation of XRP reaching to 1000 first. I think you might very well know that XRP has a total mined Supply of around 10,000,000,000 XRP approx if I am not wrong. But out of the total supply around 40% supply is available in circulation while rest of it remains locked. So if it reaches 1000$. The owners could unleash the supply of remaining 60% and the price could go like boom. Moreover just imagine where a news like token burn can increase price of any coin what affect will such large increase in supply have on price?
407  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Gdax & Binance Price Difference. Why? on: January 19, 2018, 04:35:41 PM
Can someone please explain why the BTC/USDT price on GDAX is often $300-500 higher than the BTC/USDT price on Binance.
Same with ETH & LTC but a smaller margin of course.
So if I just bought BTC at GDAX and immediately send it to Binance did I just lose an instant few hundred dollars? Don't understand the disparity in price.

Thanks
Have a closer look and spot difference between this : https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/binance/ and this https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/gdax/ . Binance has a trading pair with USD tether which is a cryptocurrency pegged against USD. They try to make its value constant by increasing demand and supply. This is USDT https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tether/ . So the price difference is because there is a slight difference between price of both these coins.

Now its not just only because of this. There can be difference due to various other reasons too like the volume, the reputation and other things of an exchange. It doesn't really means that its always an opportunity to arbitrage remember the magical concept of transaction fees which will further restrict you from doing it.
408  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia on: January 19, 2018, 04:26:49 PM
Hello

I have some deposit issue on Cryptopia. Someone has some experience with them?  Good or bad?
Cryptopia is a great exchange one of the best of New Zealand. Until now they have never been known for any types of scams in the scams section. I have personally used the exchange but just traded something like 0.1 BTC. They have easy withdrawals and deposits until you remember the PIN code you have assigned which a type of 2fa of theirs. Moreover its the largest exchange with NZDT pairs. I see no problem with it so rest assured.
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OTHER CRYPTOCURRENCIES APART FROM BITCOIN on: January 19, 2018, 04:17:19 PM
HOW CAN I INVEST IN OTHER CRYPTOCURRENCIES. ACTUALLY I AM NEW TO CRYPTO WORLD SO I AM TOTALLY UNAWARE OF OTHER CRYPTOCURRENCIES EXCEPT BITCOIN...ALSO THE PRICE OF BITCOIN IS VERY HIGH...SO IS THERE ANY OTHER CRYPTOCURRENCY TO INVEST? A BIT CHEAPER THAN BITCOIN?
Oh yes there are plenty of them. All you need to do is find a good exchange where you can buy these coins. Preferably any one among the big bits. Bittrex, Binance and Bitfinex. But most importantly you need to find the currencies on which you can place your bid. I think for a long term investment top currencies like Ethereum, Ripple and Neo will be something great to start with. As you go deep into crypto you will understand on your own which is the best that suits your requirement.
410  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Headed to $40,000? on: January 18, 2018, 06:23:08 PM
Not a long time ago when Bitcoin reached $10,000, it was a huge celebration.Yesterday when Bitcoin was at $10,000, it was like the end of the world, I've read all kind of stuff - "bubble, scam, fraud, THE END, Melt Down...........

Van-Petersen and Mike Novogratz said : “Bitcoin could be at $40,000 at the end of 2018. It easily could,”

Oh my dear friend relax a bit. Loosen up your shirt and have a short nap and if you have been sleeping then wake from this vivid dream. 40k is still too far away. It has just recovered from a terrible correction. Expecting anything from it as of yet will be like expecting a just injured to climb the Everest. 40k is surely due this year but you will need to wait a few months before btc begins its bullish run.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My list of Bitcoin forks on: January 18, 2018, 06:15:51 PM
Well Well it seems to be a huge list. These days people are more interested in forking bitcoin rather than creating their own ICO and blockchain. These no more aim at improving bitcoin they are just focused at creating an alternative blockchain. Most of them aren't even supported by exchanges so they never get listed. I have a rather different theory regarding these forks. Its that if these forks are really worth it my wallet and exchanges will pay me up these forks than to just let them go away. It saves me from a lot of headache of moving funds from the cold storage everytime.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me an ICO?? on: January 18, 2018, 06:08:26 PM
I'm looking for ICOs with real potential. Preferably for long term. Here's what I found:

1) Neurogress. This is the future of the world. Controlling electronic devices with the power of thought. They actually already have a working product but it needs further development
2) Restart Energy. Interesting idea. Energy backed token. Already raised 12M on pre-sale.
3) APEX. They pass value and data ownership back to consumers, increases marketing effectiveness.

What do you think about those? What other ICOs do you think are worth looking at?
Hero token is something you can keep an eye on. A great ICO can give some great return. Same is the case with AIDA ICO. its something worth investing your money on. These are the ICO's which come with a great concept and a great working team behind them. Adding another to the list is the Telegram open network ICO which is gaining some great popularity too.
413  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dip over? on: January 18, 2018, 05:57:20 PM
Do you think we've seen the worst of this dip for now?
Bitfinex cryptowatch shows the lowest deal on BTC for this time was 9,231$ which was just about a Fibonacci retracement (almost on point). I am not using TA normally, but I am considering it when thinking about the market. For now, it looks like the worst is over. This dip might be a healthy thing for the market, and CAN be the catalyst for another run-up.
What is your take on the situation?
Lucky you were if you have caught BTC at this price because you already in 25% profit. But I am still not too much sure that BTC has completely revived. If my TA isn't wrong I still see a great resistance near 12300 and there is no support point back until where you are saying thats 9,300. So I am not saying it will be that huge of a correction. But BTC might just once again shift back to down before it begins to move towards further heights.
414  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to buy BTC in Pakistan on: January 18, 2018, 05:50:28 PM
Doest anyone have BTC in Pakistan i want to buy face to face dealing on the table against cash payment

Thanks
Why don't you try localbitcoins.com they have their servers almost everywhere and can make you meet to any such person who can help you out in buying some bitcoins in pakistan and your currency. But there are a few risks involved in buying it for cash. I am even doubtful regarding the legal status of buying it in cash. It is quite forbidden buying bitcoin in cash in India I think Pakistan might even take it the same way.
415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dips Are good For Crypto on: January 18, 2018, 05:42:15 PM
These dips are good for two reasons

It allows people who haven't invested yet to invest

It brings awareness to the market, growing the potential investors
And yes along with that it also gives some serious heart attacks to the faint hearted people who had invested in cryptos Tongue Cheesy  But on a serious note yes they do give up some good bump to the market. Like market fell down by 50% in these two days and today most of the coins are up by 50% already they will be back to break even within a day or two. So these dips give chance to coins to touch their new all time highs. As you remember last time when BTC went from 5k to 3k and then leaped over 10k and reached 19k in just a month.
416  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Dark use of Bitcoin on: January 17, 2018, 07:30:32 PM
Bitcoin is like the fuel to the dark market at present believe it or not. It is the sole thing which is making people of dark net untraceable. Obviously this is the reason that most of the govt. also are against the use of bitcoin as it will ignite the black economy side by side. But this surely cannot defy the positive uses of bitcoin.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is on super sale? on: January 17, 2018, 07:21:06 PM
everything. i know. but some more than others

KMD is on super sale
Elix is on super sale
Storj as well

- what other coin has shed a lot of weight and looks like a good buy now?
Leave the others I think its the biggest sale on top notch currencies like the Ethereum, XRP and NEO. Ether is half its all time high while XRP is down by 60% from its high. NEO has a similar fate too. Buy these coins and feel like a king just after a few days. TRX or the Tron too is having a good time under $5. So I think go for top coins instead of the low rankers. Their is much lesser risk and a equivalent good return. Even the big BTC is available at a pretty good off.
I'm getting my hands on some ZCL at the moment. Would've bought more, but didn't fiat / tether as much as I should've even though this dip was a historical certainty. Silly me. Bitcoin Private will most certainly flourish.
No one had judged the dip. Not even and trading signal channel gave any signal regarding such a downtrend it was all unexpected as it came. Find yourself lucky that you were able to fiat atleast some proportion of your money.
418  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it chance to jump in? on: January 17, 2018, 07:12:53 PM
the market is down now. Coins are cheap now. Do you think it's time to jump in now, or we can wait for lower price?
Ofcourse just today I was talking to some people who said that those who despaired that BTC took a flight to 19k without them have a chance to still catch it at 9K. Same goes for alts too. Ether is down by roughly 50% from its All time high and same is teh case with other coins too. So definitely you can try your luck at this time if you are holding fiat. But surely it wouldn't be a wise option to sell any alts at loss to buy others.
419  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Virtues of the Great HODL on: January 17, 2018, 07:08:34 PM
Yes, markets are crashing. Yes, it feels pretty depressing to see digital wealth collapsing in the front of your eyes.

Yet, this goes against the notion of the HODL entirely. If one were to look at the entire history of Bitcoin and crypto, there have been similar corrections. These always usually happen around January. The market shakes out the newbies and those that panic tend to get flushed out.

https://www.coinbureau.com/analysis/virtues-hodl-market-crash/

There are also suspisions that these could be large whales that are trying to spook the market and profit on large short futures that are currently on.

Either way, the Hodler does not let fear and short term market movements drive his / her investing decisions. I know Warren Buffet does not like crypto a lot but he said "if you cant lose 50% of your investment in a stock and still be confident in it, then you shouldn't be in that stock"

Are there any fellow hodlers here?
Only in crypto market you will see your fund in BTC going down from $4k in the morning to $3k in post dinner and still you can do nothing about it. Reason? Optimism. We all believe in BTC and crypto market at a whole and think that they will prosper in long terms. A very big example of a virtue of a great HODL is the Btc itself. People who earned hundreds of BTC don't really despair with such corrections because they are still rich.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 48 Hours "Successful" ETH Withdrawl from Kucoin yet not in wallet? on: January 16, 2018, 06:46:42 PM
Hey guys I withdrew a couple ETHfrom Kucoin and for 48 hours now it has said "Successful" on Kucoin. Yet there is no transaction hash found and it is not in my coinbase wallet. I know 100% the address was correct. Did Kucoin scam me? Heard this happened to others. As high as 170 ETH
Its surely the first complaint regarding kucoin exchange it is really gaining some good popularity. Try to locate the transaction hash in the withdrawal history on the exchange itself. Try to book a ticket in the customer support. I though it is a good exchange. Its the first exchange I have seen which is processing BTC withdrawal batch transactions to reduce the fees load from one person even the withdrawal fees is quite low in there.
