Could someone explain to me the reason behind the rise of this since the beginning of the year ? I have just recently found out about bitbay and it sounds very promising. I am familiar with the concepts just not the releases and updates. Want to invest but don't want to jump in at the wrong time

Ok...major gripe on the chrome wallet...
Its a Multi-coin wallet, there should be at least an indication that the WAVES address is the address displayed at the top of wallet. It looks like a multisig BTC address.
On the 'deposit' tab under the WAVES token, it should not bring up a BTC address and say "send BTC here"...I assume it converts BTC to WAVES. This should be the WAVES address like every other wallet...after all it is 'deposit' under the WAVES heading. There needs to be a instant convert (shapeshift) tab or something to handle the instant BTC->WAVES conversion.
You should test with small amount first, learn how to use Dex, then start trading or sending, join to slack channel for some help on real time. By the way, Waves whales should take advantage of wallet maintenance on Bittrex to pump the price =D I was going to move my Waves off bittrex to Waves lite client. It asks for a .01 BTC deposit first. Why ? I have all my BTC tied up in other things and don't want to have to mix my BTC to keep my Waves account anonymous |

Wall of Coins allows same day purchase with cash of BTC and Dash. You search on the page what the local offers are and which bank to deposit the cash. You must have access to text messaging. There is no KYC only info they get is email and text messaging number. After you deposit the cash you they send you an email, you take 2 pictures of the receipts and email the pictures to them.
I had a snag where they didn't send the email and I was stuck waiting but after I contacted customer support they sent the email, I sent the pictures and got the coins.
There is somewhat of a markup but it is less than local bitcoins. The coins are held in escrow from the sellers. There are many banks to choose from

What is the reasoning behind requiring a .01 BTC deposit before transferring my waves to the lite client ? This is a cold wallet correct ? So it is as safe to deposit them there as in say myether wallet

It will not be starting in April. Our recently added PR and Marketing partners highly suggested moving it farther into the future. We will be finalizing dates next week and contacting everyone who has sent funds already.

Yes that's for sure, I'd like some more updates on this thread. The old thread was a mess, but some sort of communication through this one would be nice. Still bought the last dips succesfully, but with a smaller amount as I'm used to. I recently purchased some waves and I must say that although that coin is a dog as well the communication is top notch. Weekly updates ! I don't purchase for immediate rewards though. Patience pays off in the end. |

Is anybody leasing their waves ? It doesn't seem like a way to make anything considering the fact that there are only about 30 waves paid in fees each day to be split amongst all miners.

Download the Jaxx wallet and it will tell you to back up the seed phrase. 12 words that can restore the wallet or install it on another device. It has the same interface for everything, chrome, android, apple etc. It also supports multiple currencies so when you realize that BTC is chock full of problems and start to learn about alt's that have solved those problems you can hold all your coins in one wallet |

IMHO. This two project are not belong to the upcoming ICO were OP are asking. I admit that the two ICO can be considered as a successful project since they have a good start but they are not new. And investing to them now are not advisable for newbie trader since they are many whales before us now. I'm interested too to see good upcoming ICO to be invested. Why would someone buy Taas when then can buy Iconomi ? It is already in beta. These guys are riding in acting like it is something different but in actuality it is not |

Isn't Waves the most stable crypto arond? No huge pumps but also there're no dramatic dumps as well.
There is not much volume compared to others as well. No volume = Not much price movement |

I realize that there are many facets to the waves platform but as far as currency trading goes what makes this more valuable or easier for the average person ? Although I have never used shapeshift I know that the "average" crypto user does use it for it's simmplicity. It is very fast and is not very expensive
