581  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Wiki Security Certificate expired? on: November 09, 2012, 02:49:07 AM
No. There's definitely something fishy going on with your connection. The certificate for bitcoin.it is valid from 2010-12-15 17:29:24 GMT to 2012-12-16 21:21:39 GMT. It is currently perfectly valid. Since your clock is correctly set, you should not be getting this error. It is possible an attacker is trying to trick you with a fake certificate (though if that's the case, you'd expect them not to put a timestamp from the future on it Roll Eyes) The real certificate has the following fingerprints:
SHA1: 1bdbaa0ac1c3cc464d8edad56870c401dc035ee7
MD5: fa03fccec71a3d95f7bc3a858a0e5a6c

What are the fingerprints of the certificate you're getting?

SHA1:
1B DB AA 0A C1 C3 CC 46 4D 8E DA D5 68 70 C4 01 DC 03 5E E7

MD5:
FA 03 FC CE C7 1A 3D 95 F7 BC 3A 85 8A 0E 5A 6C

looks the same.. weird..

ok so it says the bitcoin.it certificate is valid, but the "StartCom Class 2 Primary Intermediate Server CA" has expired
582  Other / Beginners & Help / Bitcoin Wiki Security Certificate expired? on: November 08, 2012, 09:37:57 PM
I get this warning from google every time i go to bitcoin wiki:

Quote
The server's security certificate is not yet valid!

You attempted to reach bitcoin.it, but the server presented a certificate that is not yet valid. No information is available to indicate whether that certificate can be trusted. Google Chrome cannot reliably guarantee that you are communicating with bitcoin.it and not an attacker. Your computer's clock is currently set to Thursday, November 8, 2012 1:40:42 PM. Does that look right? If not, you should correct any error the refresh this page.
You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site.

It's been this way for a while now.  Can I assume its safe?

592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Well know private torrent tracker TORRENTLEECH.ORG now accepts bitcoin on: October 17, 2012, 09:51:04 PM
This is actually potential to be really huge. Their wiki page for Bitcoin is actually really good as well.

I wonder whats gonna have the greater mid term effect:

- torrentleach.org accepts bitcoin
- infinity poker accepts bitcoin only for gringos
- ogrr.com/mmoexchange.net merger

pretty sure infiniti poker will be accepting bitcoin for deposit, not for playing currency.  their lead pro is gavin smith.  i smell fail.  they're pumping lots of money into advertising and not even up and running.  webcam poker is nothing new.. 888 has it.

i'd like a private torrent invite tho Smiley

594  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: SealsWithClubs Affiliate Program - 20% for life on: October 07, 2012, 12:01:50 PM
why dont you go straight to raketherake and other major rakeback affiliates?
595  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu - Biggest Bitcoin Poker Site - Ring games, MTTs and Freerolls on: October 06, 2012, 05:21:40 AM
There is WAY too much time given at 50/100+ until the countdown starts.

I'm happy to give people ample timebank, but there is SO much time to wait BEFORE the timebank kicks in.  a number of players complain every day about some asshole playing too slow and it would be in the interest of Seals to have people playing faster.

even if you guys just implement a change preflop, that would mostly fix the problem.
596  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [POLL] Should Mt Gox freeze Pirate's account? on: October 03, 2012, 11:55:03 AM
Gox is not the police.

People who invested with Pirate took a "risk".  7%/week is such an obvious fraud that anybody who invested deserves what they got.
597  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to use 2-factor auth on mtgox, even without a smartphone on: September 22, 2012, 10:22:05 AM
is there a way to use 2 factor auth on your bitcoin wallet?

599  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu - We have bitcoin poker action on: September 19, 2012, 08:41:26 AM
the tourney leaderboard is not updated correctly.  it is often delayed, has the wrong dates listed, and has wrong info in the current big BTC recap.

i would update that info for FREE on Monday (after Monday PLO), Wednesday (after DD), Saturday and Sunday (after big BTC).

seriously i'll do that for free if u want.  PM if interested.
