581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: Worldcup qualifiers - CAF. on: June 10, 2024, 05:51:01 PM
Today Benin who are sitting at number 3 of the group will host the Super Eagles who haven't won a single game and I think we have to win this game if not we have to go back to our calculator to start counting points of other countries to see how we can qualify.
The first half ending with a score of one goal to Nigeria and two to Benin republic who were the team trailing. Nigeria have been playing and moving the ball around but we are not really showing our Attacking prowess, Our coach does not look technically sound, because what is his reason today for not starting Boniface? We finished second in the AFCON but we are struggling to qualify for the world cup, I blame the Nigerian football federation for send Poseiro away. Raphael Onyedika and Iwobi have been the best players from the first half. In the second half we need the coach to make some tactical changes because we need to start trying to get our equalizer from the moment the second half whistle is blown.
I am not confident about this new coach, his team formation dose not look matured, his ability to tactically coordinate his players is poor and his selection of players is not favorable.
In this match, I think he underrated the opponent that is why he set up with such formation and now that we have started losing 2-1 after we take the lead in the 27th minute, we are very poor defensively and we have conceded two goals just within 10 minutes.

Did you guys think we will qualify to the World Cup? Because we have drew all the three matches we have played so far, and we are about to lose or draw this one, and all the matches are winnable matches to a team like Nigeria.
This game there's a lot of lack of urgency and intensity on the side of the Nigeria players, I mean was one of those fans that welcomed the appointment of Coach Finidi George but I seem to get disappointed with the results Nigeria team is getting in this world qualifier games drawing all the matches and currently struggling with Benin Republic which was supposed to be an added points with ease. There's no coordinated tactics, no ideas to effectively change results through creative substitutions and it's as though the job is too big for the Coach to handle. And this doesn't leave the players from the problem right now.
582  Economy / Speculation / Re: plant a tree, when bitcoin price increase new record $1k on: June 10, 2024, 05:26:11 PM
The importance of trees existing within our environment can't be overemphasized as the benefits to humanity can't be quantified. The level of hot weather being experienced in Urban areas are as a result of diminishing trees with rather tall buildings occupying almost every land space.

For those who do travel ones in a while to the rural areas must have had a refreshing difference between the air in urban areas and that of the rural areas, and this is as a result of the existence of many trees and other green plants in existence there.

The initiative of using a new bitcoin ATH in relation to planting trees is an initiative coming at the right time.  As wee live in an era where every individual wants to plant and own a house but not a tree. But at least if you don't have a space of yours to plant a tree then try not to add to the practices which  causes the buildup to the increasing global warming ravishing the world today.

585  Economy / Economics / Re: The government cares for no one but waits for you to get rich for taxes paying. on: June 09, 2024, 11:21:00 PM
I do not know about other countries but in my country, politics has compromised the economy growth with equity.
As the transition of power evolves, the value of the citizens are depreciated in the eyes of the governments which now optimizes citizens to rely living in fortitude of bravery and accepting challenges so that we don't give it all up hopelessly.

We fight it out by ourselves like there is no government to provide us with some basic amenities and quite better to be called "a daylight robbery or extortion" that once individuals has struggled to make productive differences from the economy slavery chain of the government, you would be will assigned to revenue on taxations.

My question.... If the government could find utilizations on the citizens for taxations on generating funds for infrastructures and other government services , why don't they invest on the citizens or support those with the potentials to productiveness knowing quite well that once they makes success, they would be demanded to also contributed to the growing structures of the economy?
What the government knows is that if a successful individual refuses to comply with the government order, they will get you frustrated tending to fold your productiveness qualities or you go to jail.
Grew up to understand that tax payment is an obligation on the part of the citizens to their country's government and not a thing of an option or choice in as much as you're due for it, be it a salary earner or business.

It's a sad reality that the performance of the government to their social, economic and political responsibility is lacking in this part of our world but we still have to pay our tax as it's the only way we can continue to have a right to demand and  hold them accountable. A man that doesn't pay tax doesn't have a right to demand for social amenities only when you're a tax payer that's when you can boldly criticize and drag the government for certain failures and mismanagement.

Now make i enter broken cause wetin I wan talk na about the worwor side of us.  Me notice am say the main reason why many of we Nigerians no dey fit stand up to drag the government for accountability be say  we no sabi pay tax, plenty people the hide from paying, so them mouth no fit strong in terms of demanding responsibility and accountability from the government, and the few wey the pay no go fit fight this fight fully.

Although I know say e get certain indirect taxes we dey pay for certain services we use but apart from those the direct ones we dey like run from am so e go hard make tuna fully work well as we dey think am.
Check oyinbo people and their tax life nah

Quote
So, why don't they tax the poor who barely struggle to eat?:Simply because they found those set of citizens useless and the prison will be occupied if charge them for not paying taxes since there are more Poor people than the rich in the society.
Just to correct a statement, the poor people in society are not useless. I learnt that somewhere.
586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Team strength as the main predictor. on: June 09, 2024, 02:06:42 PM
There are different factors to compare among teams to know or feel convince of which team is with a better chance of winning a match. Just as previous comments above have explained many of them which are very true in considering on getting a bet win especially in football, but I just want to add that the fan base too really support in boasting the moral of a team to spur on in winning a match. Although this factor is one spontaneous factor that just suddenly happens while the game is going on. The high spirit of chants from the fans does also have a positive impact in how the players moral and mentality about the game gets on.

snip..

Sports betting is not about a particular team it is all about multiple teams. While betting you will need to analyze the performance of multiple teams, multiple players, and their forms. Betting on sports was never a particular team in perspective, it is all about betting on every team after due analysis and understanding of their performance through data of their past performance. That does include the performance of players and how an individual of any team led to their win. Do your due diligence research and then come up with a good topic.
In sports betting you it's not compulsory you bet on multiple teams you can chose to bet on a single team, it's only when you want to make a parlay bet that you have to choose to do analysis on multiple teams. Furthermore, Op is asking about the factors to check out for as a heads-up in determining which team will win a particular match before the match kicks off and not when the game is already ended and results gotten.
587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you lost the money that you where supposed to withdraw from online casino? on: June 09, 2024, 01:28:07 PM
My little experience today, earlier today I was gambling with one of these online gamble site then I was very lucky that I won so much money that's up to $500 with an initial amount that's it not up to $15. However I didn't win the whole money on one stake, for instance I won $200, I only withdraw $150 and gamble with the remaining $50. So that was how I was doing untill I won a lot but didn't withdraw them at once, I withdraw up to 4 times from my online gamble account and the fifth withdrawal wasn't successful and they said I have to wait for 24 hours before I can continue to withdraw the money, so while waiting I gamble and lost the money I was supposed to withdraw, so have you experienced a thing like this from any online gamble site that make you to lose the money that you wanted to withdraw?
Can't think of when I made such mistake to lose money this way. But I have  read about gamblers' complains on similar matter but what I don't agree with after reading, just as yours now, is that of trying to pushing the blame onto the casino or sport betting site as the reason to your loss.

The condition was just to wait after 24hrs to get back access to continue withdrawal, it never compelled you to gamble with the money in your account. It's an obvious testament that you're probably not sticking to your bankroll or you don't have any. Set a bankroll, know your limit and you won't have to deal with this experience next time Grin
588  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2024-06-07 UTC Pushup Report Table on: June 09, 2024, 12:55:56 PM

Wow, 44 pushers not so bad yet not so impressive as it's an average number to  100 in relation to an expected 100k bitcoin price which is the motivation behind the trend.  In the very beginning of this thread I think, interested number of persons were much than that, so what happened now? Could it be due to a lack of time and energy to persistently carryout their push-ups as regular and keeping up with their records...

Just an observation.

Nice observation, nevertheless keeping up with the push ups challenge is not for everybody, it is beyond approaching it because it is what every one is doing or seem to be talking about ,  it takes one personal conviction and decision to keep up with the push ups challenge as regards to it's benefits, as Bitcoin will be hitting $100k.
Keeping up with the push ups challenge is the same as when investing in Bitcoin and keeping up with your investment until possibly achieving your investment goal and objectives and this has to do with your personal conviction and believe where those that doesn't have such personal conviction and believe might end up not achieving their investment goal and objectives, probably they entered the market because it was what every one seems to be doing or talk. It take consistent courage, believe, conviction towards achieving goals and objectives even in life generally.

Below is my newest record

100k,Tmoonz,97,11192,2024-06-08
Well, there's no way we can prove that or use  this pushup challenge as yardstick to know those bitcoiners that are truly determined and convicted towards achieving their bitcoin investment goals through the use of the DCA strategy. Secondly, there's a wide gap of difference between the challenges you'll be facing as long term bitcoin investor  using the DCA strategy and that of keeping up with your daily pushups routine. A lot of factors to look at though, but I feel it's all personal, both for those who stop on the way or still continuing, which may definitely not have anything to do with how they deal with their bitcoin investment.

To say the least, am fascinated with your new record... Keep up the good work.

Manchester City fans trust is on another level.  Before the end of this season, Manchester City are already leading the pack. So that he can win the English Premier League again next year and move forward successfully with his team.
Manchester City has shown us an extraordinary team mentality by being able to win the English league in a row, winning the English league is of course a difficult thing to remember the league that has been very competitive so far, but Manchester City actually showed that if indeed winning the English league is not too difficult for them, this season Guardiola is of course the first coach to be able to get 4 trophies in a row in the English league,  4 Trophies in 4 seasons of the Premier League certainly shows that if he is indeed a great coach and also with financial support and a qualified squad, of course it is very likely that he will be able to continue his achievements next season.

Manchester City will of course be back as title contenders next season, so it'Squite natural that their fans are optimistic that they can get their 5th consecutive trophy next season, but to be honest, I personally have a different view for next season because Arsenal are also starting to experience a resurgence so we can't underestimate them anymore for now, seeing how many Arsenal have released players this season, of course they are now starting to try to improve the squad and of course with the target of bringing in many star players to strengthen their main line-up next season.

If we look at the recent seasons, we will see that Manchester City actually does not stay consistent throughout the whole season. At certain times of the season, they make some mistakes. The problem is there is no one to actually capitalize on that mistake. Arsenal is busy fixing their own problems. Because Arsenal also has to think about their inconsistency. In almost the last three seasons including this one, arsenal has not been consistent at crucial times of the season. That’s why they have not been able to win the English Premier League title in the last three years. They had more than enough chances to beat Manchester City for the English Premier League title.

I really want to say that Arsenal will be better prepared in the next season. But that’s what I have been saying in the last two seasons as well. For me, it is hard to trust them to win the English Premier League title.
That's just it, lack of consistency have really cost Arsenal the title in the past two seasons because they are always leading and doing well from the very beginning, but once the reverse fixture have started, that is when they will start showing inconsistency, and Manchester city are always locking close to capitalize on any mistake made by them.

As rightly said, Manchester city team in the immediate past season, were not as good as they were in their treble winning season, but what I believe that made them win this year title was the lack of consistency shown by arsenal during the closing stage of the season, and the high level of consistency shown by this Manchester city side from the last 15 games of the season, so the premier league is all about consistency, the most consistent team, always go home with the trophy.

I've read a lot of interesting news about Federico Chiesa who is causing a real sensation in the recent news, considering that there are two clubs that want him and that I personally would never have imagined if they could compete for him and they are Roma and Napoli although Roma's interest seemed Napoli is apparently very strong and has the advantage on the possible purchase and with Conte in command this could really happen

The rumors are very strong now that Federico Chiesa will leave in this transfer market, with news coming out that Federico Chiesa already feels uncomfortable being at Juventus because of the bad treatment he feels, and Juventus is also eyeing Atalanta players and it looks like they will sell two Para players Their young players have little money to spend in the transfer market this season, and it is very likely that Federico Chiesa will leave Juventus.

Napoli and AS Roma are currently at the forefront of showing interest in the player of Italian descent, and Chiesa's agent has also met with Roma and Napoli management, but according to news circulating, Federico Chiesa is more interested in AS Roma's offer, so that is of course a possibility , because Roma will play in Europe next season while Napoli they will not compete in Europe next season, but a definite decision has not been taken.
I will wait to see where Federico Chiesa goes because Chiensa is a talented young player he must find a club that can take him further in his development.
He is definitely going to be missed at Juventus should he leave, because he is one of their most potent players in front of goal although, injuries had really clawed him back, but when fit, he is actually one of the most dangerous attacking players in the whole of Italian Seria A, so Juventus letting him go to another Italian rival club is going to be a very bad thing to do.

However, if he is actually leaving, then I think that among this two teams, Napoli and As Roma, the best career move would be him moving to Napoli regardless of whether they are playing in Europe this season or not, because I believe that Napoli will be much more competitive than As Roma in their domestic league, especially now that Antonio conte is the new head coach of Napoli.

Yea in times past the African football games were really lacking goals in almost every match played bit recently things have really changed which depicts improvement in the games among the stars.

Watching this Nigeria v South Africa match to night am very impressed with the  Super Eagles performance despite them not winning the game as it was all hard luck for them in the second half missing those creative chances. I love the attacking variant coach Finidi George is bringing into the team  but I'll also advise they put a stronger defense in place too to balance the team.

South Africa on the other hand had a good defense which held Lookman still that he couldn't have a breathing space to attempt to shots he made in the Europa league which could have perhaps changed the scores. Nice one!

I just hope there won't be any sentiment between the manager and some players in the squad. The Super Eagles should start believing that they too can make other nations struggling to get a goal, I don't seem to understand why they can't see South Africa team as a country they can beat without stress? The Super Eagles always struggle against teams they're bigger than just because their opponent have a developed league or something? Why can't we beat these guys like they're nothing but instead we concede first and beg for a draw. They played well but with all the players who have made names outside the country I don't think a draw should be the outcome of this game, is best we lost rather than the draw we played, SA shouldn't be giving us this hard time.

Though Nigeria were supposed to win South Africa in this match but don't forget that for the fact that Nigerian players are playing in some of the major leagues in Europe doesn't mean that they can beat other countries without stress because league football is different from the country matches because in the league players are familiar with each others play pattern while in country games players from different clubs come together to play for their country so you don't expect them to have same experience as they do in their respective league games and again I don't know why you see that other African countries domestic leagues are better than the Nigerian league even though the league is still developing gradually but yet Nigeria still have quality and standard players that plays in the NPFL so they don't need to be intimidated by any African country that has already succeeded in building their league.
There is no sentiment between the Nigerian players and their head coach, they just played their best in my opinion.
@Sexylizzy2813 is there anything that made you assume that there could be some sentiment between the coach Finidi and the players? Cause from where I was sitting watching the game both coach and player deliberately gave in their best into that game it was just unfortunate that they played so fragile in the first half but had to come back offensive in the second giving them that equaliser from that Dele Bashiru goal in the 46th minutes just into the second half.

A lot of super eagles fans are putting so much expectations from Finidi George especially as most of them believed that he could have simply won this match against the bafana bafana boys which is really out of context because South Africa team is one of the best team's in African football.

And moreover, this is first game from Finidi and his boys which explains why they were that weak in the first half only to come back better in the second half, because they are still blending and trying to understand the pattern of play from the coach. Finidi George needs to given some time to make things right and this won't be sudden but gradually.

The match is ongoing and South Africa is on the lead with 1-0. T. Zwane score the only goal in the match currently on the 29th minutes of the first half. Nigeria are gaining possession of the ball, but the South Africans are just waiting for any opportunity that they will create in order to score again.

It will be lovely if Nigeria can equalize this goal in the first half so that they will not play with much pressure in the second half. I don't like the view of the match...

Nigeria 0-1 S.Africa

At the end it all settled one a piece (1-1). And Nigeria did very well to get the comeback. The African world cup qualifiers matches today all had quite a good number of goals which for some time now has been the era with African football because goal scoring was actually some sort of problem for their games.

The importance of an attorney in today's business activities can't be overemphasized with the nature of the business environment becoming more competitive with every tick-tock, businesses or firms ensuring to protect their interest and compliance from other party's in business not to unscrupulously want to take a smart advantage  of another in contracts and, in avoidance of possible legal hassles and litigations in the future for a successful business, it then makes an attorney's presence a necessity. There's that likelihood of people not overriding you in a matter when they are with the awareness of an attorney standing behind you - it makes procedures to followed in the way it should.
This really depends on how much money you want to transact, because hiring a lawyer is not an easy matter and will also cost a lot of money, so if we want to spend a lot of money, it's better if we have a lawyer beside us, because with them it will be very useful for us in reading and understanding the contract that we will be handling, so that if there are errors in the contents of the contract, someone will reprimand us not to do that.

However if on the contrary the money we spend is not too much, it is better in this case not to use a lawyer because it will be a waste of your money, it is better for you to go with your family in this transaction.
Hmmmm... Hiring the services of a lawyer is not that much of an easy deal as some of us are expressing, just as the op said, you go for the lawyer that your money can afford it mustn't be an expensive one but who is still competent in his field. The problem with some growing business claiming not to be able to afford a lawyer services is because they want to employ the services of a popular and we'll recognized lawyer in their region. Look for the unpopular ones they will be willing to come in handy without being expensive instead of bringing in your family members. Family members can't take the role of a lawyer when things eventually go north... Even with family members and problems emanates due to a breach of contract you'll still require the service of a lawyer and that will be more expensive when a problem has set in already.
595  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of fake work-from-home jobs, it is a ploy to steal your crypto on: June 07, 2024, 09:51:04 AM
The scammer will message you and offer you an online job. The scammer will be receiving the money from the job and he will not later pay you anything. Or it can be a fake job but the scammer will later ask you to pay an amount of money to get more and better offer. The victim account that the scammer created for the victim on the platform would be getting credited but it is not money but just a number to deceive the victim. If the person pay the money that the scammer told him to pay, that is just how he or she has been scammed.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/fbi-crypto-scams-work-from-home-remote-working

Tell your people about this. They should avoid online scam like this one.
With the rate of scam schemes online it makes me treat any form of interaction with a stranger online with an impression of a possible scammer until proven contrary. I don't know about others but that's how I live safely online.

But, by the way, why will I, a job seeker be paying money for a job I haven't received payment yet. If the job was all tht genuine, why not cut that amount of money from my salary after I have gotten the job and received my payment.

I have a relative that recently got a job after he was scammed by this similar pattern of scammers due to his eagerness to get a job as a fresh graduate. Paid money requested from him by an acclaimed job agent online who claimed to have job openings contracts with companies, after 24hrs of payment all means of contact was blocked that was when he realized it was a scam. Any job that's genuine, whosoever that's involve will always ask you give him a certain percentage from your first salary for his services after you have gotten the job. Anything outside that, run.

597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: June 06, 2024, 06:56:20 PM
I have always been a Germany fan but unfortunately, they can be said to have failed miserably in the World Cup and European Cup even though there are still doubts about them but there is hope that they can be better, Julian Nagelsmann is expected to be able to make this team better and there is that hope, especially seeing how he is when he is at Bayern Munich because his dismissal was just a mistake and not the real picture.
Germany is only in third place as favorites to win after England and France, in the group phase they should not experience any problems in qualifying for the knockout phase.
France are the favorites at this EURO, they have a very strong team, and as for Germany, they are not going through the best of times, Negelsman will have to correct this, but in the match with Ukraine, although Germany attacked the entire match, they could not score a single goal. It is clear that this is a friendly match and in the official match everything could have been different, or Ukraine was simply lucky that they did not concede a goal in this match, since Germany attacked a lot.
We can not judge what and how the performance of any team now can be by using the friendly matches results. In friendly matches players are careful not to get injury that could deprive them of participating in the main event which is why am still vouching for Germany in going far in this  Euros especially as they are the host nation they will not want to do otherwise. Apart from Germany, there are other teams am fascinated about their squad which I do expect so much from them, teams like Belgium and England, I think their respective  coaches had carefully selected those  player's making them look like a more of an attacking squad than anything I could think of now.

Never a day goes by that this strategy is not discussed in the forum which makes it not an unfamiliar strategy for forum users. DCA strategy is cognate with Hodling  and the application of it to see to a success requires that the individual or the investor must have a reliable and sustainable source of income  to maintain the strategy. More so, as JayJuanGee will advise, you have to make for an emergency funds to avoid having your investment plan cut short by unforseen circumstances before it matures. You can as well join in the discussion here>>> Buy the DIP, and HODL!

I would just like to get some insight from the pros here, what are some other ways that I can earn money other than bitcoin mining, eg. Online gambling such as betting and casino?
Hey mate, don't even think about going into gambling for the sole aim of earning money or as you put it earning quick money. I guarantee you that you will end up losing even the little money you have.

What you should focus on doing is to make use of any digital skills you possess to earn money online just as Mk4 had recommended or better still if you don't have any of those skills you can still learn one. There are platforms online that offer some of digital tech skills for free or at little cost, platforms such as freelancer.com, LinkedIn and Coursera to mention but a few. You can upskill yourself too to boost your value. Never make gambling an option for making money, never!
600  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learn a skill instead, you will be set for life. on: June 06, 2024, 03:50:00 AM
The culprit in the story is one that is already made for life going by his  background in the story it said, and I quote  "he is an heir to cartier empire, a direct descendent of Louis Cartier; the founder of the luxury watch, necklace, and bracelet maker", end of quote. If he was never caught I guess no one would have believed he was into such shit and illegal business his financial success would have been rather attributed to the influence of his lineage, but thanks to cryptocurrency, he was flagged out for what he really does.
You’re right, most of these rich folks usually get their hands dirty and if he wasn’t caught no one would have believed he is into money laundering. I wonder what kind of money a person who is an heir to such successful wealth is looking for that he would risk his freedom and go into something illegal, what kind of wealth is he after, now he has been caught andd would definitely be punished for such act. This is a really good story that would teach people a lot, many would learn that crypto is not a hiding place for criminals and they would be caught one day if they don’t stop.
What many people fail to acquire in addition to a good paying skill, is education.
Am sure if the guy in this story was educated enough mostly as it regards the crypto currency space and activities, he would have learnt how to use mixrs and some privacy coins like Monero and -zcash and the likes, although they are not as easily seen on many exchanges today because of such illicit activities like money laundering, yet having a good skill and learning how best to stay safe and keep accumulating wealth is one sure way to enjoy regulations from government and exchanges in total.
Well, if you say it that way then it's as though you are in support of  the use of mixers by these uncouth fellas  for money laundering of which i object  to your view that. I should believe that those platforms were initially intended to drive the ideology of bitcoin which is all about privacy, where legitimate funds can be mixed there for the purpose of just maintaining privacy but it's unfortunate that illegal people knows how to infiltrate, corrupt and abuse a system.

Our reason for been learned or knowledgeable about anything at all shouldn't be for how to use it for criminally intended purposes but should be for advancement and development of society and not in the way you're making it appear.
