I was opportuned to see this game live and it was highly contested almost like an actual world cup finals game. Without any doubt, it's safe to say that the south African team was the much better team based on their overall performance in the game. However, the Nigerian team should have won because they had plenty of clear cut opportunities

Right from the beginning south Africans player's has been more impressive in performance than Nigerian players because if you watch there previous matches is always similar to what they play today and in most cases south Africans are always the favourite to win  there matches against Nigerians, just like there match today they almost won Nigerians if not that Nigerians were able to manage and equalize at the beginning of the second half, however just like you said there overall performance was on the favour of the south Africans because they really give Nigerians a serious tough time on this match and they dominated the game from the beginning of the first half, however the supper eagles has really tried because is not easy to hold south Africans to a draw match.

We are at the 5th position on the group C table, and our hopes for world cup qualification slimmer, we are going against a Benin Republic coach who is very familiar with playing the Super Eagles, Our team is still not there yet, and if Finidi doesn't do better tactically against Benin, maybe we would end in draw again or maybe lose the game.

Though Nigeria were supposed to win South Africa in this match but don't forget that for the fact that Nigerian players are playing in some of the major leagues in Europe doesn't mean that they can beat other countries without stress because league football is different from the country matches because in the league players are familiar with each others play pattern while in country games players from different clubs come together to play for their country so you don't expect them to have same experience as they do in their respective league games and again I don't know why you see that other African countries domestic leagues are better than the Nigerian league even though the league is still developing gradually but yet Nigeria still have quality and standard players that plays in the NPFL so they don't need to be intimidated by any African country that has already succeeded in building their league.

Cause from where I was sitting watching the game both coach and player deliberately gave in their best into that game it was just unfortunate that they played so fragile in the first half but had to come back offensive in the second giving them that equaliser from that Dele Bashiru goal in the 46th minutes just into the second half.

A lot of super eagles fans are putting so much expectations from Finidi George especially as most of them believed that he could have simply won this match against the bafana bafana boys which is really out of context because South Africa team is one of the best team's in African football.

And moreover, this is first game from Finidi and his boys which explains why they were that weak in the first half only to come back better in the second half, because they are still blending and trying to understand the pattern of play from the coach. Finidi George needs to given some time to make things right and this won't be sudden but gradually.

South Africans has been one of Nigerian greatest rivals when it comes to African football, so I don't bother much whether we win them now or not, even while I saw they had the lead I was confident enough that the match would end in draw or Nigeria to win. Both countries played really well, judging from the kind of goals scored by both teams, it shows how developed Africans are getting in football since most of our players are now playing in international clubs. I feel like the players still needs to blend even more, there is enough available rooms for development in the Super Eagles squad.

I don't agree with you about the Nigeria team, that were are supposed to win the south Africa team, you shouldn't also forget that the south Africa team has players playing in their domestic league, and are doing well, so you think because the Nigerian players are playing in Europe, they should have just trashed the south African team, no football is like that. the south African domestic league is one the best in the whole of Africa,  If not for anything, you saw how wonderful they where during the game, and that is proof of how good they are. If you watch that game, you will notice the bafana bafana team had more chances to even score more goals than the Nigerian team. Don't forget that during their previous encounter during the just concluded African nations cup, the both teams played draw during the regular time and even the extra time, Nigeria had to win during the penalty shootout. The truth is, the south African team is not just push over team.

Actually I think it was a fair result, because in the first half, the south Africans were the better team and they took a well deserved lead, though they weren't as skilled as they were in the  immediate past African nations cup, but they were the better team in the first half, and in the second half, they played more on the counter, which made the Nigerian team to seize the initiative and got a well deserved equalizer, and I think they would have won the game if their attacking players were more decisive in the final third, though a draw looks like a good result for the south Africans, because they were away from home against one of the giant of African football, but it actually not, and a draw is even more terrible for the Nigerians, because their current group standing in not good at all, in their quest to qualify for the next world cup.

And as for the Nigerian coach, judging by his first outing with the super eagles of Nigeria,  I actually don't think he is good enough to lead this team to glory, though my opinion might be wrong if proven otherwise, but am still not confident on his coaching ability judging by what I have seen so far.

I know is not the same, coming from different club side to play for one national team but other countries that have those sets of players from different clubs who come together to play for one national team and still do better are they having 4 heads? We're the giant of Africa and if there's no country in Africa that have done it before we should be the first, getting different players from different clubs to play for Nigeria and play better than the others, we should be unique, that's what we should be thinking of.
And talking about our league, you'd agree with me that we are still struggling to get to a more standard fashion, SA league is better than ours and I blame the political activities that has more effect on the league. The SA league has players that whenever they come together they play as if they have been playing together for long so is something the National team should be worry about, the administrators, the organizers are not concern about how the nature of the league is, never has it been encouraging to me.

I'm still uptimistic about Nigeria's qualification, despite all the odds in front of them, our new coach, George Finidi, has a lot of experience in football as an ex player and he has acquired a lot of coaching experience, so I believe that this match is a big test for him and the team will perform better against squirrels of Benin, in our next match.

the code difference between the Nigerian super eagles and the bafana bafana is that the eagles are yet to blend well in Thier play while the bafana bafana understand thier kind play and used it to thier advantage. Contrary to most person point of view about the draw, I don't think that the coach is responsible for the inability of the super eagles to winning the bafana bafana of South Africa, it's more of the players attitude towards the game than what formation or player the coach uses. Most of the Nigerian players where playing individual football and weren't connecting with themselves as expected. The attack wasn't working and the midfield was porous at some point, they lacked a standing attack like what we've seen with victor osimehn and although I expected lookman to replicate a huge part of what he did in his club finals in this match, he played below my expectation and missed a lot of chances.  What's bad is that this is not a friendlies but a serious world cup qualifier and they had to play to bad only to get three points from three matches. Let's just be happy that the south African team didn't come to our home to win us if not it would be a massive disgrace. But huge respect to the two teams, they improves a lot in Thier individual play.

South Africans has been one of Nigerian greatest rivals when it comes to African football, so I don't bother much whether we win them now or not, even while I saw they had the lead I was confident enough that the match would end in draw or Nigeria to win. Both countries played really well, judging from the kind of goals scored by both teams, it shows how developed Africans are getting in football since most of our players are now playing in international clubs. I feel like the players still needs to blend even more, there is enough available rooms for development in the Super Eagles squad.

That's football for you bro, although I must say Nigeria is well known for this sort of things and that's why they have make we the fans to lose hope in them, I could remember the last one very vividly when they their game against Ghana was the decider and even plus the fact they were at home soil they still went and drew the game and even in the stadium the whole thing wanted to play out with violence as the fans were very angry as they fail to qualify for the world cup I guess.
