In all fairness, the best TA articles are the ones that prove right .... in hindsight  Cool

TA permits us to see basically anything in charts. For instance:
  • in the channel
  • drop outside the channel
  • (classic) retest in progress
  • big drop after failing to re-enter the channel?

I'm placing my bet at HODL.

Goldman Sachs loves Bitcoin so much that they tell their clients to not buy it, so they can buy more, which includes their investment in Circle.

Man, I had better never have 15 bitcoins on me in an airport. Government will just seize it like cash....

https://www.washingtonpost.com/travel/2020/05/28/man-missed-his-flight-logan-airport-then-authorities-discovered-138980-cash-his-bag

Oh wait, I forgot, it's *my* bitcoin, not the government's money. They want the key they can torture me for it.

Note: It is possible this was an international flight where you do have to declare >10k for customs purposes. But still this does not sound like a job for TSA....

in the past I have seen posts where people discussed the need to declare value if bitcoin you carry too.

Still, it's unclear whenever we cross-border, if we have bitcoin that needs to be declared. Because even if it's not a hardware wallet, I control my bitcoin through phone or basic internet. Similarly, I control fiat also through my phone in bank accounts or credit/debit cards of multiple countries.

So I don't think Bitcoin needs to be declared when you cross the boarder.

The trouble is: at the gate you aren’t the one doing the thinking. TSA does...  Roll Eyes

I’m not going to defend the bear case here but I’m also cautious now for a pull back. But the remedy is course to just Hodl what you already have and buy at set period. Just a little more should prices tank short term  Roll Eyes

With this decline into the $8.xxx range, I get a better feeling about the bottoming process I was writing about earlier.

It's not perfect but on the 4h chart we start seeing subsequent bottom slams into the RSI. I expect the price to linger for a while (up to 3 weeks). If we can avoid a larger dump, it will be our launch pad for the next attempt to decisively go beyond $10k.

Oh, and leaving the (fictitious) channel is not a problem. Because fictitious  Cool

Hi WO!!!

Why Bitcoin Claiming This Crucial Level Will Set the Stage for a Move to $11,000

“Bitcoin found support on the daily and is mainting its uptrend. Red block is key for me, if we reject from there it’ll confirm distribution above March’s high and I expect much lower. If we can reclaim the red block I am looking to long a pullback to $11k,” he wrote.

To add: the red block is around $9,400-9,500.

I hate to say it but a proper pull back would be good for fuelling the $10k rocket.

$8,800 from a couple of days ago would not be a proper pullback?

[...]

Hypothetically, what would be a proper pullback?  Would we need to go as low as $7k or even lower - $6k?

[...]

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not really looking for a price target in terms of a pull back. My thoughts are more about seeking a probably 'bottom' in technical indicators. While TA is generally not lauded in this thread, I do think technical indicators can give indications of tops/bottoms. It's all about finding probable setups.

They ain't the truth. As long as the outcome is more than 50% in the right direction, you are leaving the area of 'gambling' and moving into the area of 'calculated bets'.

I see technical indicators declining. For example, this is RSI on the 12h chart:

This could mean two things:
  • loading up for another leg up
  • worsening technicals leading to a large(r) drop

While I hope for the first, the second cannot be ruled out.

Now, if we would get a punch down with the indicators I mentioned dropping in the downside area's, this would strengthen the idea that the downward move is done for now (the latest correction in this uptrend has occurred). Without this move happening, I'm in limbo whether we are looking at worsening technicals or just technicals blowing off steam for reloading.

TL;DR: It's not about price targets, but wanting more confirmation of being at a bottom (medium term).

I hope this clarifies  Roll Eyes

This is... beyond hilarious!

BREAKING: Washington state lost "hundreds of millions of dollars" to a Nigerian fraud ring which used stolen information to file false unemployment claims - AP

jesus I hope that is fake

edit/  nope

smh
Shit like that is infuriating. My bank kicked me out because they didn't have complete access to my entire bitcoin transaction history. They are paranoid about money laundering - and at the same time they were involved in a trillion dollar laundering scandal.

There are lots of investment opportunities that most people don't have access to because it is only for "advanced investors" or whatever the fuck. Most of them much less complex and risky than bitcoin.

And I have never sent any fucking money to a Nigerian Prince.

That’s because you are a rule follower (according to the system), not a rule maker.

There are probably a lot of people still waiting for their (second) card. The dream is a bit shattered now.

But it's good to hear that there is still a group that has a working card.

Sigh

It reminds me of the stock market the day that Hurricane Katrina (2005) landed: stocks shot up big time right in the face of calamity.
