not weird its the P series mining card.  They pulled out all the gaming stuff.  decent card 30 day warranty I think just like AMD.
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Will we use the "blockchain driver beta shit" forever? on: October 10, 2017, 09:52:54 AM
that driver causes some of my RX cards to go down to 7 hash until i restart miner.  I can happen 4-5 times a day or not at all for a day then it starts again.  It happens on like 20 % of my machines.  It's weird but something you just put up with.
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any ASIC for eth? on: October 09, 2017, 11:56:16 PM
for the 1000th time no.
584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Who bought an Antminer that was unprofitable on arrival? on: October 09, 2017, 11:55:18 PM
it will be profitable, just ROI is nothing like it was.
585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1070 24/7 mining lifespan? on: October 08, 2017, 04:58:07 PM
long story short, they carry a 3 year warranty in the USA for EVGA.  Their return process is spectacular so you have nothing to worry about till then =)
586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: first time building a rig on: October 07, 2017, 08:57:34 PM
all looks good but 8gb and of course cpu you need a LGA1150 CPU or a TB-250 board that is LGA1151
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Coins to mine and hold for the future? on: October 07, 2017, 08:56:17 PM
Why in the world would you mine something 1/2 as profitable.  Simple, mine whats most profitable, buy your end game.  IMO I think ETH is a good hold coin.
588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 6 x EVGA GTX 1070 SC Gaming, any sugestions? on: October 07, 2017, 08:43:42 PM
I have over 50 EVGA 1070 8GB 6 cards rigs running.  They run great.  EVGA 1070 8GB SC edition has 1 8 pin plug instead of 2.  Not sure if that one is the same.  I know FTW is 2 - 8 Pin Plugs
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Where are you storing your miners? on: October 07, 2017, 04:29:05 PM
Anyone live in the Florida area, or of similar climate? Thinking of putting my miners into an enclosure and fixing up one of the small "offices" in my barn to store them, just unsure if they would overheat, even with good ventilation. Anyone in these areas posting pics/ideas would be great thanks

I live in texas so yes its no problem but make sure you add a ton of ventillation.  I have 9000 cfm in my 120 square foot room running 30 miners in that house.  2 other houses running 20 each have 6000 cfm
590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Where are you storing your miners? on: October 06, 2017, 12:14:22 PM
I have a bunch at a datacenter and keep 60 in 3 houses.  20 per house well ventillated.
591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Where are you storing your miners? on: October 06, 2017, 12:13:05 PM
Guys, how many antminers can handle 50 sqm room with one 1x0,5m window fully opened (no ventilation) and all the antminers outlets pushed outside of the room?
Thank you

you better add ventilation or you will bake them.

they are low  Tongue
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cleanly cutting square tubing on: October 06, 2017, 12:10:30 PM
without having shop equipment you will have to remove burrs on one side of any cut.  Just the way it is.  I have a horizontal bandsaw, high end one that does well but it still leaves a tiny burr.  That thing was 3K.  The mfg shops have what I have, but super high speed and of course much better.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DASH incredible rise in the hashrate on: October 05, 2017, 01:53:07 PM
rule of thumb.  If you can't get into asic cannons right off the bat, then never get in or your ROI increases dramatically.
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's your average earnings per GPU last year? on: October 05, 2017, 12:06:31 AM
So if they ask me if invest in mining now, I'll tell, is better to wait until profit will be higher...

It's better to be mining now to catch swings in profit.  That's how you make good $ by having equipment working when it happens.  If you wait then cards might not be avail or you order and 2 weeks later if you are lucky you are mining.
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's your average earnings per GPU last year? on: October 04, 2017, 08:47:03 PM
my 1070 SC on zec make about 1.50 right now a day per card.  not great but not bad.  440-450 sol per card
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX570 / 470 / 580 / 570 with blockchain drivers on: October 04, 2017, 08:45:02 PM
So running AMD blockchain drivers, not all but some units will go from 170 hash on eth to 80 or so and i have to restart miner to get them going back to full.  no errors nothing just a drop in hash till reset.

Windows 10
SSD
Claymore 10

I have seen reports of this happening but never really saw a resolution for it.

I have not updated windows to most current yet but that is what I was going to try this week.  I'm sure the driver is crap but not sure if old windows is causing it.  Thoughts?

I'm running an identical build as you! I've never faced such issues. Do try updating to latest version of Windows, setting core/mem voltage and core/mem clock speeds in claymore bat file itself and not using overclocking utility like Msi AB.

Would you  mind sharing your bat file with me? Or just the undervolt settings?

Also, have you had any problems when undervolting with claymore?

Thanks

Never had an issue until the blockchain driver.  I should of left them alone ....  Reloading a machine from scratch to complete update, then adding blockchain driver.  See what that does.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX570 / 470 / 580 / 570 with blockchain drivers on: October 04, 2017, 08:37:24 PM
How are you getting 170-180 hashrate with 4 GPUs? Are you mining something other than ETH?

First thing you could do is check the log file. It will usually report the last things that happened before the crash.

But regardless of bios mod or not the max those cards will do is 30 MH on ETH. 30 * 4 = 120 MH. And if thats the case, you getting 170++ hashrate may well be the reason your rigs are crashing. Its always good practice to keep tweaking your rigs clock as well as voltage settings until you hit the sweet spot where everything is optimized and stable.

Never said it was 4.  Then again I never said it was 6 either did I.  They are 6 card rigs.
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 5gpu work, if i try with 6gpu I get error 15 claymore. Help please!! on: October 04, 2017, 12:39:17 PM
normally when i get that error i swap out the riser because they are cheap.  About 80% of the time that works.  If that don't work a card at a time until you can duplicate that error.  I'm not big on dual power supply setups, but i doubt thats the issue.
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is it safe to run a GPU under 45 degrees ? on: October 04, 2017, 12:35:52 PM
If you are sucking in straight outside air like most do in this business then just be careful of humidity.  Also sounds stupid but trust me, check for metal air grills and stuff around and mainly above your units.  They will condensate with the cold coming in and the heat of that room and drip down on your stuff!  Yep, it happened to me!
