581  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is getting addicted to gambling right or wrong? on: June 08, 2024, 08:03:20 PM
There's nothing right or wrong in world of gambling but there are things that could be harmful for gambler and one of such things is addiction. Gambling addiction could create so many problems for the addict and like any other addiction it's hard to get rid of gambling addiction.

Gambling addiction has destroyed lives of many people and that's why it's considered as a very harmful thing one can have from gambling. That's why anyone who knows about gambling addiction suggest others to gamble with responsibility to avoid getting addicted to it.
582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is a fun activity but it has some potential to be profitable sometimes on: June 08, 2024, 07:57:53 PM
one would have to be extremely lucky to experience "exponential profits"(it would be nice if I could experience it).
Yeah, I highly agree with you, one should has to be very lucky in order to win such high amount of profits. To be honest, everyone of us want to be extremely lucky but we all internally know that changing our luck isn't in our hands and that's why it's better to try our luck of wide variety of games.

I was just deceiving myself back then to believe that gambling can make me rich.
That's what most of us think when we start gambling but overtime we understand that whatever we were thinking wasn't right but was some type of illusion of our own mind. That's why one should gamble for fun and with the money he/she can afford to lose.

583  Other / Meta / Re: There's enough merits, if hoarders aren't selfish. on: June 07, 2024, 03:01:45 PM

Mind you, there's a difference between hoarders and merit sources, to begin with.

What's your opinion?
Yes, there's a difference between hoarders and merit sources. The prior ones earn merits to gain sMerits while the later ones get a fixed or varying amount of merits per month. The merit sources could be hoarders if I'm not wrong because it's their decision to send merits to which worthy posts while the hoarders that you tried to mention can't be merit sources unless they properly make a merit source application thread and wait for Theymos's decision.

Now back to the main topic, the sMerits those hoarders earn aren't given to them easily because they try their best to make very high quality posts/threads, and sometimes despite making good quality posts/threads they won't get any merits. The sMerits they earn are 1/2 of the merits the earn from their posts/threads and that's why they contribute those sMerits to either someone whose posts/threads they like or they send it to whoever's posts/threads they prefer. It's their own decision to either hold those sMerits or send those to someone who deserves those sMerits, and no one can or should force them to send or not send the sMerits that they have.
584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the role of home/away matches? on: June 07, 2024, 01:07:51 PM
What do you think is the role of home/away matches? If this probability were expressed in numbers, what would it look like? Is playing at home or away a major factor for analysis or a secondary one?
I think home matches allow a team to play more effectively then away matches because in home matches they have trained for some good time and have played so many matches there and they're also aware of the home environment, and that gives them edge over other teams.

I would still consider that a secondary factor of analysis because a weak team in home matches could easily lose by a tough team as they can quite easily adjust with the environment of new place because of their skillset. I would consider a teams top players as a major factor that decides winning/losing of a match.

If a team's top players are in good health without any health issues or other weaknesses then that gives them way more edge then home environment and that's one the factors which makes results of someone's research positive. I always prefer to go with tough teams as most of the times they can easily win against weak teams.
585  Economy / Gambling / Re: Are there any good betting websites for the upcoming Euro on: June 07, 2024, 01:01:42 PM
Guys can you recommend any good betting websites that are legal and benefeciary?
There are so many good casinos where you can place bets without any worries. Most of the websites that you see on this forum are legit ones but I suggest you to read their terms and conditions carefully before going with them. I also suggest you to check the site that I'm advertising on my signature space as that's also a very reliable website where you can place your bets.

587  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Zeusmex-Instant cryptocurrency exchange signature campaign | upto $125/w on: June 07, 2024, 12:41:13 PM
It's sad to let you know that after the current week we will stop the signature campaign.
It's a quite sad news though! I thought the signature campaign will continue for long term but it ended so strangely. I hope some other signature campaigns of same nature will be part of this forum soon.
588  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is Interesting on: June 07, 2024, 12:38:33 PM
I know if I could invest in bitcoin no matter how small it is , it would make a difference for me in the future.
Yes, if you invest in Bitcoin and hold that investment for long term then surely you'll end up making profit from that investment, but before investing in Bitcoin you should learn about Bitcoin investment and personal wallet. You should also learn about cold and hot wallets so you may not face any issues with your investment.

I also suggest you to follow a good strategy for investing in Bitcoin. I personally follow DIP+DCA strategy where I invest a certain amount in Bitcoin when I see huge dips and then I keep doing that whenever there occurs a dip. That way I can accumulate more Bitcoin with the same amount of money.
589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sweet Bonanza vs Gates of Olympus on: June 07, 2024, 12:34:45 PM
I have lost money in both of those games and that's why for me none of those is a good one but surely everyone has their own choice and everyone's luck is different. Some people may have better luck at Sweet Bonanza while others may win more at Gates of Olympus. So by keeping all those factors in mind, I won't picky any of those two games as my favorite one and I won't consider those best either.

Haven't you read these threads? Looks like someone is just adopting this behavior.

Thanks for sharing those threads, and to be honest I have never gone through those threads, however now I know that some people did that in past and others who are lazy are trying to follow their pattern once again even now.

I don't know what to say but I believe such members are somehow a disgrace to the campaigns that they join because instead of contributing anything good, they just delete and recycle their own previous written work.
591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is a fun activity but it has some potential to be profitable sometimes on: June 06, 2024, 03:02:41 PM
Some people can risk a high amount of money in gambling, and they are fortunate to win big. I don't take such risk and my income is not too high. I just believe that one day I will win a jackpot or lottery. Every gambler had a lucky day, and it might be a big win.
Yes, it's true the ones who can risk a lot of money could earn high amounts in profit if their luck favors them but there are some unfortunate people who use high amount in gambling and end up emptying their bankroll. I hope one day you may win the jackpot that you mentioned, I know it's possible but we aren't sure when we'll have it.

I have a consistent profit on Blackjack maybe like 75% winning rate per month while I have some major wins on slot games without losing big time since Imrarely increase my base bet.
I'm very happy to hear that, you're among those lucky fellows who wins the games that most of us consider too tough to win. I have never made any profits on those slot games but surely I have made some profits on sports bets. I believe someone who's lucky can win at such games while at sports events your research can somehow improve your luck or your chance of winning.

592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is a fun activity but it has some potential to be profitable sometimes on: June 06, 2024, 10:38:35 AM
Mine is no because I have made exponential losses in gambling until I started to gamble just for fun. A friend told me one thing and I also noticed it, if you bet with low amount of money, you will win ....~Snip~
You're not alone in the list buddy, so many others have gone though huge losses in gambling and for such people the fun part should be the only aim because their luck won't let them make profits and if they chase for profits then they will continue losing even more. Yes, it's better to use small amount for betting to reduce the losses.

I am a small gambler, I tend to put only little money in my account for gambling but recently I increased it (deliberately) so that I would be able to learn how a site works and it ended up costing me my entire bankroll.
That's not recommended at all, for fun part we can enjoy gambling with small amount of money because risking your whole bankroll in gambling isn't recommended at all as it could lead to bankruptcy. I suggest you to enjoy gambling with small amount of bets but if you want to go for some high amount bets then only do that in the matches where you're 99% sure the team or club you choose is 10x better then the opposite team or club. In such matches you can sometimes lose but most of the times you'll win.

I have seen people hitting max win on reputable casinos and come one week after begging for a tip as they were broke, this means that they can't resist the need to come back to ask for more and they have not won irrelevant amounts, they have hit sometimes up to 80.000 dollars
I believe such people need to get properly educated about gambling responsibility because winning such amounts isn't going to happen each day or each time. One should enjoy the won amount and stay away from gambling for sometime if he/she win such huge amount.

One of the users that comes to mind is Tykiwanuka, I can't tell if he's a lucky gambler, but I remember that he's a professional sports bettor since he had this AMA thread back then which was insightful.
It's nice to hear about him/her because I'm also into sports betting and reading his/her AMA thread will be quite helpful for me.
593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Gambling is a fun activity but it has some potential to be profitable sometimes on: June 05, 2024, 06:23:54 PM
From the title of the topic it's clearly that I'm someone who considers gambling a fun activity but I can't ignore the fact that for some people gambling is quite profitable as well. I'm referring to very lucky ones as that some people because most of the gamblers get inspired after hearing their stories.

I've made some profitable bets especially in sportsbook but I won't consider those much profitable because the bets I have placed were of low value and that's why the earned profit was also low. Most of the profits were with very low odds and that's why I just ignore those profits and enjoy the fun part of gambling.

I must say that I'm not among those lucky ones and haven't yet made huge profits in gambling but I want to know that do we have some of those lucky ones on this forum who have made exponential profits in gambling? If yes then kindly share your gambling story to inspire others.
594  Economy / Reputation / Re: Fulfilling signature campaign post quota by recycling own posts on: June 05, 2024, 05:42:57 PM
They have hired some spammers in the campaign (not everyone). They don't give priority to quality, they only need quantity.
Yes, there have been cases of many members of that campaign who were breaking the rules of the forum and doing things which this community doesn't accept. However, it's not possible for single person to look after all of those things and that's why spammers do their spamming activity without any fear.

They must hire someone for managing the campaign. Or at least to monitor the participants and replacing the spammer.

I believe a large campaign like Stake should have more than one manager or a manager with some assistants. There are some good members who are also part of that campaign but it's also a fact that some members of that campaign are taking advantage of the manger who's hiring them as participants.

It's a quite hard job to manage a campaign where most members have to make so many posts and for a single person it's not possible to go through all of the members and their posts to verify that are those posts legit or those are recycled ones or are AI generated ones.
595  Economy / Reputation / Re: Fulfilling signature campaign post quota by recycling own posts on: June 05, 2024, 04:47:30 PM
It's the worst case of recycling one's own posts I have ever seen, in fact it's the first time I'm seeing someone doing something like that.

It's the worst thing someone can do with a campaign manager who trusted them by accepting such people in their managed campaigns.

I hope the campaign manager will take some action against that user and possibility remove him/her from campaign with some warning.

I personally have no rivalry with that user but whatever he/she does isn't right and I believe such type of members should get reported to campaign managers as soon as possible.
596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you really want from gambling? on: June 05, 2024, 03:05:19 PM
1. What exactly do you want from gambling? Say it, even if it's something you don't think is possible to achieve.
I just want to have some fun during my gambling time and that's what I want from gambling of course the fun part will be totally ruined if we consistently lose in gambling and that's why I bet in sports events because I get happy with sports betting and at the same time I earn money sometimes from my good bets.

2. What steps have you take to see if you can achieve that which you want from gambling?
First step I have taken to achieve my fun goal from gambling was to shift my focus from casino based games to sports book as that's more suitable for me and at the same time I could earn some profits with it if my research turns out to be good.

I try to research the matches where I place my bets and when research process is completed then and only then I place my bets. Most of my bets have gone good and that makes me happy, and that makes me achieve my fun part.
597  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FTX will repay everybody 118% back on: June 05, 2024, 02:56:26 PM
FTX customers who were victimized may be happy with this news, but when will FTX pay for it? Is it just a promise that will continue to be delayed?
In fact, I don't think they will pay anytime soon.
I agree with you, the news will make the victims of FTX fraud happy and they will have some hope that they may get their funds back and surely that 18% extra would make them even more happy.

But, I also think that such news is just news and nothing like this could be done easily. I believe in order to pay the victims they will have to do a lot of things and they need funds to do that.

I agree that they will keep delaying the refunding promise and will continue to make the victims hope that they will get their funds back but as long as we won't see the victims getting refunds then it's not wise to believe such promises.
598  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CEX P2P under Governments Attack, let's Embrace DEX P2P on: June 05, 2024, 02:48:35 PM
You clearly have no idea about what you just said. Decentralization has never, and will never be leaked or broken. How do you charge a case on anonymous exchanges?
I had some idea about it and I believe that's why I said that. When a country's government attack p2p centralized exchanges then that country's government tries their best to attack the decentralized p2p exchanges as well. I know that such attack isn't going to be a direct attack because it would be much tough for them to directly attack decentralized exchange p2p users as they can't do that directly.

The users who complete p2p transactions on decentralized exchanges also have to use banks in order to complete the fiat based p2p transactions and in such case banks could monitor the bank accounts or digital banking accounts of those p2p merchants and if they see suspicious transactions then they may freeze the accounts of the merchants who do p2p transactions on decentralized exchanges.

It would be much hard for the government's to track p2p crypto transactions but p2p crypto to fiat and fiat to crypto transactions can be tracked to some extent. Even sometimes in order to do that, government's can have their accounts set as merchants and whoever does p2p trading with them they track their accounts and take actions against those in stealth mode first and then some kind of direct actions.
599  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Payout In Error - Should i advise them? on: June 05, 2024, 02:35:39 PM
Well, brother, I think it's more of a scam attempt than promotion, imagine if op is the owner of this casino, and by posting this here, some greedy guys after reading might want to take advantage of the supposed bug doesn't exist, they register and deposit to the casino with the expectation of receiving the 100 percent bonus and withdrawing it immediately, as well as their main deposit as well, that is doubling your money under a few minutes with no risk of losing a penny.
Yes, that's possible but there's possibility of promotion as well because when player deposit funds to such casino with hope of taking advantage of the bug then the casino gets the money and when those players try to withdraw the deposited amount then they won't be able to do that because there isn't a bug that OP mentioned.

And, now the ones who deposited the money in order to avail the bonus has to complete the wagering requirements which most of them won't be able to do, and end up losing everything that they have deposited. However, I do agree that such type of thread is mostly created to scam others either directly or indirectly.

It's really amazing to see that some people are using this forum even if they were the ones who adopted Bitcoin at its early days. In 13 years baby can be somewhat young and it's not a short duration. I believe some OG's will stay with us for much longer time than 13 years and I'm sure Philipma1957 is one of such people.
