OK! People, I’ve been following this thread for quite a while, and felt this should be said. It’s time to stop this negativity towards the Catman and everything else to do with CENT. If you can’t handle CENT, then sell them (or donate them), and stop wasting everyone else’s time. Too scared to hold on to your CENT? Transfer them to Swisscex as they have a CENT/XPM market (yeah, so they have withdrawal/deposit issues, but they’re a startup, so give them time and have some faith!). Don’t trust Swisscex?, then there are people on multiple fora willing to buy them from you! Personally, I want to say a big THANK YOU to the Catman! If it weren’t for him we would still have the major stake and wallet issues. What’s the point of trying to ruin his reputation with comments as:
I don't want to get into catman's motivations, but it seems he stuck around long enough to get it stabilized before presumably cashing out. Perhaps I should have done the same. I hate to say it, but without someone to at least add updated checkpoints, this coin is going to peter out. I guess it was fun while it lasted.
By doing some research through something called a “search engine” one can find quite a bit of extra information. Having done this myself, I came to the conclusion that the Catman will work on CENT the moment he is able to again (his workstation is broken, so once fixed he will start working on his projects again, the parts were sent out this week). Before every one wonders if I know him personally and where I got this information, I was able to find all this information online (and.. I don’t know him personally!). So from now on, STOP badmouthing him! We all have to manage between real life, and e-life, this is not always an easy task, and at the moment he is the ONLY ONE who has been actively working on CENT. For those who still have issues with their wallets (I don’t know how this is possible as mine works fine), You can find help in the link below where I’ve posted some information in regards to the install as well as the pennies.conf file. I have also posted information and a possible future scenario for CENT (for the ones who have no clue what sleeping monster this is). When version 10.2.1 abe was announced, I took all my coins in lots of Cryptsy 99,999,999 (bound by Cryptsy) and that has led me waaaay wallet stakes Well, in the last days (between blocking and blocking) I am getting my coins to transfer to a clean wallet and lots of 900,000,000 new wallet works PERFECT. Hate to break it to you guys but the people trading this right now are not the type of people you would want to be part of the community.
These guys are pump and dump flippers and they would rather sell for 1 satoshi difference rather than hold long term like you may think they will do.
Yep, MOEW has a lot of value to it and price will rise but I think this is only a fake pump and dump rise. Maybe if that is just a bomb dump, but that's not important, the important thing is the community that's behind the coin and when the pumper MEOW will go on without him. I've seen INFINITECOIN in QRK in DOGE and many more. The only way to win in cryptography is to learn a lot and have cold blood. The road will not be easy (it never is), it was not for BTC and more recently with DOGE, I remember that I bought the Doges at 40 and went down to 28 (that sucks ...) and went shopping at 28, I have sold recently half of 200, 240 and 270, the rest do not trade. Vert is nearly at the lowest price that it has ever been on cryptsy. It was at 1400000 at launch, now its at 400000.
Kitteh has misguided interest at the moment, ONE person bought and sold 50 BTC worth of coins, creating the volume and price spike. Also Doge cooled off so people are hedging on other alts.
He would have gotten burned and sold for lower but clearly there were enough derps that were willing to make this person money and pay nearly double of what this coin was worth not a few hours ago.
Now he is probably sitting on the sidelines and watching everyone panic buy while he shakes his head at how easy it is to manipulate the markets.
We are mistaken who think that this is just a pump and dump one person, many of us believe in and are buying this coin a while. My price target is 200 satoshis, there begin to sell 50% and the rest to the wallet for safekeeping. If the DEVs do well, this coin has a great future, it is catching popularity and not forget that the total currencies is half DOGE. Good luck to all |

Only trouble is that cryptsy holds billions of cent from customers stake (and I am one of them) and what is a stake? well it is calculated on the cent that you already owns. and it will follow it's owner if you withdraw your cent from any exchange.. If cryptsy does upgrade to everyone's chain they will loose billions of CENT that would then be returned to their real owner. But their politic is "what is on my account is mine" and the hell with the rest of the comunity. So they do not upgrade their software to match the actual one and by doing that, they interfere in the good and right functioning of the block chain on which we all are..
Since it is clear that those who have screwed us is Cryptsy, propose to issue a joint statement to them requiring them to fix the problem so that he CENT and clearly not fix it, we will remove all our trade to other exchanges. I agree to remove over 30 BTCs I keep in other currencies (the CENTs nor play for fear of losing them), if we all get a large amount of BTCs and we threaten to withdraw, we may listen the hell up. 1. Cryptsy set the # of confirmations required to a very high number because of the current risk of a 51% attack with our crazy network hash rate fluctuation.
2. These aren't as bad for older traders (trusted) - which is why some get their meow faster (total guess - no clue if they have a trust system).
3. Our blocks are getting solved in little bursts.. 120 blocks get solved in a couple minutes, then the next 120 take a couple days.. If you need 300 confirmations it can take a long time as a result.. This would be resolved by KGW.
My MEOW it's reached 671 comfirmation, but still nothing... Hello, if you want to check whether deposits in Cryptsy are just a matter of trust, I propose my envieis a small amount of meows and I'll enter in Cryptsy. Only one condition yourselves agreed to send 1 or 2 people at most and the amount is small (not want to become then crazy in return meows many people) to Cryptsy I'm investor confidence, as I have long been trading with them management and a decent amount of TBTs. I currently own almost 30,000,000 meows and I have intention to endure them for a long time, in fact I downloaded the MEOW wallet that's something only I do with coins that I trust (now I have only wallets BTC, LTC, XPM and DOGE). I am talking about the stake of january the 8th! I have had like 300bln cent but they kept the stake that was due to me and for that reason I will little by little post all creepy information about them proving BigVern is Bigscammer and Crook!!!

Ok I'm a bit pissed off. I wrote to Cryptsy and altexplorer.info and told them to make this fu...g update I dont know if it'll help but Im going to annoy them everyday. DEV Nacesitamos one in tune with Cryptsy troubleshoot the wallets and think The_Catman is not the work. Nobody will buy a bifurcated currency. |

I tried sending 1.5B pennies to my cryptsy wallet and my pennies client crashed, next time I tried opening it it said error reading wallet.dat some transactions may be missing or something similar I can't remember exactly. I deleted all the blocks tried resyncing but my pennies have disappeared no transactions are showing in my register, where have my pennies gone?
The problems have you got the most, that is why the price does not rise, because we have no DEV able to fix the problemnas with wallets. It's not a matter of development, is also about the user... If you have done a clean start re-downloading the blockchain, after it's done you should run in the command line a "repairwallet" command to ensure integrity of the coins. If they made it to the blockchain at one point or another, your coins will come back. They are never lost... In my case it doesn't seem so. I tried literally everything. I re-downloaded the blockchain 3 times now. I tried deleting the wallet and importing the private key, I tried running the "repairwallet" command, I tried deleting the peers.dat and the pennies.conf files and re-creating pennies.conf using just the cryptsy's IP. All without success. I've also done all that without success |
