I think we all can agree the trust rating system here can not be trusted, I have read the horror stories. For example, this Gleb Gamow character has green trust and a very convincing scam thread against himself actually, where plenty of proof shows he was caught stealing from someone. Plus he admitted to it anyways so what better proof do you need than his own confession. So what makes him at all trustworthy to deserve green trust? There is plenty of other pretty disturbing stuff in that thread that is way more convincing than anything I have read posted from him so far in the 12 handfuls of threads he participates in religiously. Do you see what Gleb Gamow does, are the moderators here not allowing a self admitted thief to do as he pleases? In all seriousness what he does is a crime in itself, multiple ones actually, from cyber-bullying clear down to libel. Using this site as an example of a trustworthy community is like saying Silk Road was the best place to buy video cards for your computer. What Scammers is Crypto-City allowing to moderate their own communities. The more important question is, if it is their own community why should they not be allowed to control who is welcome and who is not. If they do not want someone in a certain community bringing drama, and all someone wants to do is cause drama, why should it be allowed? What do you consider "supporting" scams? I like Crypto-City I have learned a whole lot more there in the little time I have been there than this place has offered in years. I like that you can actually have live chat with the community owners. It has so much more to offer services and coin developers than a regular forum can provide. What I really like is that there is none of this drama there. What I notice here is when new people actually need help with something, when they ask for assistance, they usually get yelled at, condemned, told not to do something. Rarely do you see a person actually get the help he asks for. At Crypto-City, I ask questions they are answered in live chat if I want. I don't have to wait a day, or week or even months and no response at all, I can get the answers right now. I even had help setting up wallets that I could not get to work, you can get Peers files or addnodes, these guys will actually take time out of a busy day to help you. Congrats Owen, you figured out how to create sockpuppets. Perhaps there is still hope that you'll find a minute to comment on your securities fraud. If your crypto-city is so great why do you need to shill for it in this awful forum? What on earth made you think I was Owen. Only mentally challenged, self proclaimed do gooders like yourself and Gleb Gamow need multiple accounts. Who spends 90% of their time online doing this stuff? So in total, it is 9930 BTCs ~ 4.6 millions of dollars, almost equal to sum stolen from "hacker" in July.2014 These money he used to finance Cryptsy operations expenses,Bitebi9 expenses and his own expenses. Essentially they ninja launched the neo-scrypt fork by releasing a de-optimized public kernel (and .conf settings) while they/the insiders made the easy money with the fully optimized one. Anyhoo.. My 280x/hynix is pulling 128 khash with cgminer 3.3.7b and the following settings : gpu/mem - 1120/1500, win7 x64 cat 14.9 w/ sdk, -I 13, -w 32, -g 2 -g 1 Screenie shows the 280x and 7870 at stock, same settings except -g 1 was used.  edit both examples used -g 1 Ninja launched? NeoScrypt has been released on the 27th of July 2014 with a working CPU miner. FTC switched to NeoScrypt on the 26th of October 2014 with a working GPU miner. There was no better GPU miner than cgminer-neoscrypt v3.7.7 at the switch time. A community member sponsored a better open source OpenCL kernel and the SGminer support. Wolf0 did the job in early November. Although he continued the development on his own and sold copies of his faster proprietary kernel later, I don't see how the FTC team can be held accountable for this. Not only did they bork the kernel, they also did it to the .conf settings. Before I came along with my very simple and easy to do .conf tweak, a 280x was only getting 90-100 khash. Do you realize what your statement is saying about the FTC/ craptsy insiders team's capablility when it comes to coding and mining ? EDIT Lest we forget how your skilled FTC team "forgot" to enable solo mining from the onset.. lol.. Can you say.. "way to fuck the crypto movement ! ASSHOLES !" ? Who are "they" to break your kernel? The initial GPU miner, cgminer-neoscrypt v3.7.x, was developed by a contracted programmer with no prior coding experience in crypto at all. Therefore all these high level network protocols and mining specifics were new to him. No top performance video cards in his possession either. He did it all on a GT210. Indeed his kernel was very slow. Yet he delivered a working miner in 2 months and left for good. I have fixed Getwork there a month before FTC switched. Here is the patch for your peace of mind: Getwork Fixed, Midstate Removed"They" as in the FTC/ the cryptsy insiders who crippled the public (not mine) kernel while THEY mined with the fully optimized one. It's just a speculation. No one crippled it intentionally. NeoScrypt is more advanced (complicated) than most other hashing algorithms including Scrypt. It took a while for optimisations to catch up. My v1 kernel was available in early November of 2014. It's v7 now. HD6970 performance went from 6KH/s at the switch time to 50KH/s in my fastest November's kernel to 280KH/s now. I have never purchased any proprietary NeoScrypt kernels whether fully optimised or not. Your lame quote editting and attempts at skewing the issue(s) isn't going to work. You remind me of maco/42dice and Dooglus, when you do that.  Lets try this again.. okie ?! 1. I was given the runaround and essentially ignored after I tried to volunteer for the beta/ testnet phase. 2. For days/weeks, most 280x miners were happy/lucky to get 90 khash. 3. After spending 3-5 minutes tweaking a couple of the .conf settings, my 280x managed to get 122+ khash. 4. 36 hours later, I apparently PWN'd some of the more experienced coders and miners, AGAIN, by bumpin it up to 142 khash. I have used this forum for a couple years. I have visited Crypto-city.com. I am not sure if I understand you guys. I saw the links to other forums, and you seem to be saying crypto-city is some kind of scam right? How exactly can a community driven website who does not collect payments be some kind of scam. I guess you could say that both this forum and the other one you guys keep referring to could also be scam sites right? They both allow scammers and unethical situations to occur on their site right? So, explain to me what makes those 2 websites any different from what you are accusing this site of? Bitcointalk has a trust rating system. Not sure what other site you're referring to but if it's gethashing - they don't have self-moderated threads. Crypto-city is allowing scammers to moderate their own "communities". Sure bad things can happen anywhere. There is a big difference though between that and actively supporting such scams. I think we all can agree the trust rating system here can not be trusted, I have read the horror stories. For example, this Gleb Gamow character has green trust and a very convincing scam thread against himself actually, where plenty of proof shows he was caught stealing from someone. Plus he admitted to it anyways so what better proof do you need than his own confession. So what makes him at all trustworthy to deserve green trust? There is plenty of other pretty disturbing stuff in that thread that is way more convincing than anything I have read posted from him so far in the 12 handfuls of threads he participates in religiously. Do you see what Gleb Gamow does, are the moderators here not allowing a self admitted thief to do as he pleases? In all seriousness what he does is a crime in itself, multiple ones actually, from cyber-bullying clear down to libel. Using this site as an example of a trustworthy community is like saying Silk Road was the best place to buy video cards for your computer. What Scammers is Crypto-City allowing to moderate their own communities. The more important question is, if it is their own community why should they not be allowed to control who is welcome and who is not. If they do not want someone in a certain community bringing drama, and all someone wants to do is cause drama, why should it be allowed? What do you consider "supporting" scams? I like Crypto-City I have learned a whole lot more there in the little time I have been there than this place has offered in years. I like that you can actually have live chat with the community owners. It has so much more to offer services and coin developers than a regular forum can provide. What I really like is that there is none of this drama there. What I notice here is when new people actually need help with something, when they ask for assistance, they usually get yelled at, condemned, told not to do something. Rarely do you see a person actually get the help he asks for. At Crypto-City, I ask questions they are answered in live chat if I want. I don't have to wait a day, or week or even months and no response at all, I can get the answers right now. I even had help setting up wallets that I could not get to work, you can get Peers files or addnodes, these guys will actually take time out of a busy day to help you.
