I have registered as above.

Already I see a "deposit fee" of 1.5%

I would guess that the intention of this thread is to entice new members onto LocalXE
by rewarding free BTC In order to withdraw those free tokens extra BTC will have
to be paid into the members account.

Thats fine with me but it needs to be clarified.

5883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin community does not make sense on: August 01, 2018, 08:16:40 AM
We all in the crypto community hate governments and banks, but we all (or atleast most of us) want to abide by the laws.Laws are created to make nations more organized and civilized. If the government regulations regarding crypto are fair and good for the community and the industry, there's nothing wrong in supporting them.If the regulations are bad, nobody in the crypto world will abide by those rules.
Does it make sense to you now?

Yes that is fair enough and most reasonable people would understand this but
I think the OP was meaning that the speculators in the crypto community dont
care either way. They equate acceptance by a country as a price hike in their
'jnvestment'.

There are those in the community who dont care about what bitcoin was invented
for or how to use it as a currency, the bottom line is ROI

5885  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are alts heading to 0 earlier then we thought? on: July 31, 2018, 09:33:50 PM

There are many new coins coming on to the market daily and performing poorly on listing.

Look at the last 5/10 coins that have come onto Binance…. most have dumped immediately on listing,  possible by early investors or ico buyers.

Other than occasional increase in value, the trend has been very very bearish...

Many analysts have already said, the value of many alts is 0.   So the question im asking is could the move to 0 already have begun.

Why are many on these forums very bullish and hoping for a rise in value that may never happen.

This is what happens, people buy into an ICO and hold the tokens until they are
listed on an exchange. As soon as they are listed they are dumped as fast as possible.
The true winners are the people who created the ICO and the ones who dumped
the tokens the quickest.

The people who are bearish are probably the ones who are left holding the worthless
previously dumped tokens and the ones who really believed the ICO project had potential.
5886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man sells house. Earns $20,000,000 from Bitcoins on: July 31, 2018, 08:38:25 PM
I was reading godlikeproductions in 2011 and there a man from UK posted a thread saying he sold his house and invested the money in Bitcoins.

After 1 or 2 years, he posted there, he has earned some $20,000,000 from Bitcoins.   Shocked

This OP is nothing without a link or quote, so where did you get the info?
I have searched google and cannot find anything about this.

This isnt amazing news in the sense of the bitcoin values, whats amazing is
that someone would take such a gamble, if its true.

5887  Economy / Economics / Re: Will increased usage of crypto / bitcoin convert world to small village? on: July 31, 2018, 06:50:39 AM
Since the introduction of the internet the world has become smaller, communication
and simple trade between people has increased as online shopping as become more popular.

Bitcoin is like an addition to this, its an alternative payment system. One that is open source
and owned and run by whoever wants to a part.

So yes maybe a new era of cooperation has started but it is too general to say everyone in
crypto will cooperate in this movement. Charitable people exist also outside crypto.
5888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best and Worst Case Scenario for Bitcoin on: July 31, 2018, 06:31:51 AM
This is pure fantasy on my behalf but here are my + and - scenarios:

Worst case: that there is a 51% type takeover and iit vecomes controlled by a central group

Best case: after many years of governments trying to ban bitcoin and high profile people trying
to drive the value down, all efforts are abandoned after realising how futile it was. Bitcoin adoption
soars with new users and traders for buying and selling goods and services. New earning opportunities
are created for bitcoin and other crypto.
5889  Economy / Economics / Re: IRAN TO LAUNCH ITS OWN CRYPTOCURRENCY, GOOD OR BAD FOR CRYPTO ADOPTION? on: July 30, 2018, 07:28:45 PM
I also wouldnt be able to state the effect this will have on crypto.
I suppose it wi gjve those people in Iran and Venezuela the chance
to get used to 'digital currency' and the similarities to decentralised
crypto.

Its slowly changing, all that is needed now is for a few more countries
to make the move it more shoukd follow.
5890  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bouncing back. on: July 30, 2018, 08:09:15 AM
Yes it could go the way of the last bubble and it may or may not get pin pricked as quick . . . Or maybe it wont.

Everyone knows at this stage the markets are unpredictable.

My thinking is that people remember last years rise and are determined to be involved as are a lot of new investors
They just dont know it yet.

5893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Join this Big "Why do you support Bitcoin?" Poll on: July 29, 2018, 04:06:06 PM
I like the alternative to the FIAT banking system tgat bitcoin offers.
I dont have to put all my finances in a bank and trust them with it.
I can also get more of a dividend from bitcoin than i would ever
get from a FIAT sum.

Wgat a great alternative Satoshi has created.
5894  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many new Exchanges on: July 29, 2018, 11:48:51 AM
No i dont think there should be a limited amount of exchanges, competition is always
good for the consumer and without consumers there is no business.

Different exchanges offer different useability, different coin listings, different fees and
different trading tools and benefits.

Its up to everyone to decide what works best for themselves and to do their own research.
5895  Economy / Economics / Re: G20 releases official statement on cryptocurrency on: July 29, 2018, 10:09:14 AM
This statement is more positive than negative but they could decide at any moment to
turn around that statement particulatly when bitcoin and crypto become more powerful
with the inevitability of further global adoption.

It doesnt pose a threat to them at the moment but they cannot control it when it does
They will only be able to control the entry and exit points.

5896  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Prices are Back Burning on: July 29, 2018, 09:03:16 AM
The most popular digital currency Bitcoin has faced tremendous pressure in the past two months because of its holder selling. The price continues to under US $ 6,000 / BTC. But in the last week the price of Bitcoin back heated up so that the price back rally through US $ 8.000 / BTC. Guess what makes bitcoin prices high again?

"Tremendous pressure" is a big accusation. This pressure was/is coming from impatient speculators.
When this, when that. We all lije to speculate but the level of expectation was getting overwhelming.

5897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin popularity will increase, when no Gold is found in Fort Knox. on: July 29, 2018, 08:09:02 AM
Its a very intriguing conspiracy theory. There are 2 questions which stands out,
Why is it that so few people including american presidents actually been inside
fort knox to view the physical gold or indeed why no audits been ordered?

Because there is either no gold or not as much as accounted for!

Its strange how its not talked about, strange how the 'missing elephant in the room'
is being ignored by people in authority.

My thought is that if it was known that there is no gold it would turn the world
economy into turmoil or 'melt down' so governments are happy to ignore
the missing elephant.

5898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Cryptocurrency Stand Without Bitcoin? on: July 28, 2018, 03:54:23 PM
I disagree with the OP, suggesting bitcoin is useless for useability.

Say that to all the traders who accept bitcoin as a payment option for their goods, to the people
who earn and spend bitcoin with those same traders.

Tell all the people who have taken the option in trusting all their funds or wealth with the banks,
The option is there and is being used in Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the original, cryptocurrency without bitcoin would not be the same, bitcoin pulls so
many people into crypto space. Everyone in crypto has bitcoin that is why it is #1
5899  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to The Community - Any advice on where to start? on: July 28, 2018, 09:50:48 AM
Welcome to the forum.

This place holds a wealth of information, it just takes a lot of searching to find the
valuable stuff in between the crap.

Best place to start is the Beginners and Help board > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0

Please dont fall into the usual trait of asking when bitcoin is going to go up or down
or deliver your lambo.

Jf you are 'investing' do so with only what you are prepared to loose. Try not to fall for
scams and read how you can progress to the various member levels. . .

Oh yea, and enjoy!
