61  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Path to Profit: A Trader's Emotion & Terminologies Everyone should Know on: September 10, 2023, 10:30:07 AM
That's the problem with TA, the more you know, the less better it is. The less you know, the more successful you'll become. Tbh I am not a fan of TA at all but there are certain people I respect use TA and they all have one thing in common. They only use 2 or 3 indicators and I am pretty sure they don't know 90% of what you said in your post. In my experience, knowledge works against you when you make your trades based on TA. The best traders use TA less. If there was a perfect trader out there, which there isn't, he would be the one that never uses TA.

Yes a balanced trade is the one that involves both TA and FA. And those using TA only add few indicators, like you said 2 or 3 indicators because too much of indicator will mislead you from understanding that market. To cluster your trading window with lots of indicator is problematic to follow, it is better to have maybe 2 and you are good, focus more on what trade is doing and not terminologies because the aim is profit and not what terms they are. For the purpose of learning the terms are good to know but the real business is how to use your knowledge to maximize profit.
62  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Nothing compares to BITCOIN, know this and know peace on: September 09, 2023, 10:06:27 PM

That is true. So many newbies have fall prey to these scams and lost millions collectively.
This is why forums like bitcointalk are a must for every newbie to enrich their knowledge in crypto.
I think every newbie should visit this forum and read posts in here at least for a few months to get basic knowledge of cryptocurrencies.
Although there are blogs, videos and tutorials for various crypto products but nothing provides as much knowledge as this forum.

Most of those blogs are not rich compared to the knowledge here and some are information that is already passed here a long time ago before it is shared on other media. Most of the social media marketers and contributors or influencers visit this forum one way or the other, that is if they don't have account here to say the least. So this is a very rich source for cryptocurrency information and almost as old as the creation of bitcoin.
63  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you suggest I handle incorrect price predictions? on: September 09, 2023, 08:22:34 PM
I find it frustrating when my price prediction for the market fails. I know that it is difficult to predict the market movement due to its uncertainty and also that it is not possible to consistently predict the future accurately but it still hurts when

You already know the truth about market movement so why worry yourself about it when it doesn't go your way. However prediction is not a guarantee so you have to trade with what you see and don't run into the opposite direction of the market and expecting price to meet you there, that is why you will always be disappointed.

I tell it to my friends and it doesn't turn out so. In January, I had predicted that by the third quarter of the year, bitcoin will hit $35k - $40k.

Hope you don't force your friends to follow your prediction. You should know that this time around close to halving, the price usually don't go up.

I hide my head in shame because right now it is struggling at $25.

Why? Did you take a bet on that or did you take a vow that you will be called a bastard if the prediction didn't happen. Volatility doesn't know what you have predicted on it .

Maybe I should stop quarterly prediction and stick with monthly predictions.

No type of prediction is perfect. Do what is right, follow what the market is doing.

Also how do you suggest I handle incorrect price predictions? Anybody been here. How do you handle it?

It is handled by licking your wound. Try again next time and don't worry too much.
64  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Path to Profit: A Trader's Emotion & Terminologies Everyone should Know on: September 09, 2023, 04:59:33 PM
Most times what a start needs to stay in the market and get interested in it are his indicators, being able to know candlesticks, money management, risk and stop loss. He now needs to know how to locate means to open an order , close the order and gradually he is use to the trading platform. The terminology doesn't matter as such for the new trader who of course would be finding it difficult to navigate the trading platform. The terms will be more attractive if the trader is making profit because he would be more willing to learn more useful techniques and techniques comes with terminology.
65  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: KYC matter? on: September 08, 2023, 06:07:42 PM
The repercussions are many and not limited to one but the major repercussion that account holders have complained of is that you won't be able to withdraw from that website. Example if it is a casino and you win, if they request KYC you have to do that before you are allowed to withdraw what you have. Some have level 1 verification and you can be limited to perform some other functions but certain winnings require full verification process that you have to upload your documents and picture selfie showing your face.
66  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Calm the pressure on: September 07, 2023, 09:27:10 PM

You can always start small.

This is a good advise and word to abide to. You need to calm yourself down and not allow the pressure of investment and life get the best of you. You don't need to over work yourself because you think you saw an investment opportunity and you want to throw all your money into or you want to go and borrow money which is a mistake to be avoided by starting small and with time you begin to diversify with the income that you have generated.
67  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Seeking Passive income offer with low risk on: September 07, 2023, 08:56:09 PM
If you want passive income, I recommend staking your funds. I believe now is a fantastic moment to stake because cryptocurrency prices are too low. Staking is superior to investing since you can earn more tokens while keeping your assets. If you acquire Bitcoin or altcoins today, you can profit more when the price rises. In my perspective, we are already in a bull market. However, because we are in the retracement phase, it is not too late to buy; we only need to figure out what the potential swing point is before the price continues to rise.

This is a good idea for OP if he is actually looking to go slow with the passive income because staking of coin is not a get rich quick program like Ponzi where you expect to cash out with 300% margin with days. OP looks to be in a haste to start earning from passive income, again it is passive and not main income so you have to be easy with it because when you stake your coin it means you have locked it up for a certain time until the time is complete, that is like keeping your fiat with a bank on a fixed duration.
68  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Indicator for Trading in Stock Market on: September 07, 2023, 03:36:05 PM
I was watching the video but didn't finish to the end because there is nothing different from other Forex videos online. Also there is no special or one indicator that is best for trading, it is only best based on how the trader understand it and how they use it for profit. So Fibo quantum is not different from Fibonacci and for some traders, fibos are not the best indicators for their forex or stock market.
69  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading bots... do they work? on: September 06, 2023, 10:20:59 PM
Looking to get some real-world feedback on trading bots, the pros, the cons and the most important question... do they work?

Yes they exist and work,
Do they last? No they don't
Are they always accurate? Sometimes they are and other times they don't, there's no reliability in using them.

I don't use bots but I have read reviews and what some friends have said about trading with it and most of the challenges mentioned above are exactly what it is. I have had some friends complained of bots after making some profit, the next day they lose money than the previous profit made and eating into the capital. The challenge that bot also have is that you also need to monitor it from time to time but maybe not like manual trading. This is contrary to people's believe that it is not monitored but if you don't after a while some bots may do reverse trading.
70  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you risking investment in other things? on: September 06, 2023, 03:27:10 PM
No. I believe in my small business. but I still have a little faith in bitcoin and other coins, as a bounty hunter, airdrop or jobs generated by coins. but to make this a long term investment is too risky. I am very happy with the way I can generate coins without having to spend real money. it has increased my income.

Bounty hunting can be profitable but it is not sustainable on the long term. The good thing about it and airdrop is that you actually don't invest real money on it only to do your weekly duty and get your post requirement but it is not sustainable in the sense that it could amount to waste of time if the reward is not sent to you or when you are not allowed to sell or it is not listed. Again I can't remember how many shit coins have had any bull lately. Doing bounty is not a real investment because it is not sustainable.
71  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FIBONACCI retracement Tutorial on: September 06, 2023, 02:36:11 PM
I see that you have tried to do justice to the indicator called Fibonacci and that is a nice one. I still feel that it is a biase indicator because it doesn't really give you a natural balance on its own. I mean you have to draw it out or place it on the angle you want based on the price action and if that fails then you shift it again and that makes those levels to change. In other to say those levels are subject to changes and when price bounce off them, you have to readjust the parameter of the levels on the position that best suit the trader.
72  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Resilience: Returns to $26K Support Amidst Market Volatility on: September 05, 2023, 10:22:19 PM

Bitcoin is not stuck here, it will eventually go up, and all of us getting together and worrying about when that will happen won't change the result. We should just be calm, and wait for it to get to a better place, it should not be something that will get to a better point.

That is the point. More questions and worry about price of bitcoin because it will later leave the range of price now to another price. The price have been relatively down and slow involving low activities since the drop to $27k,000. Soon we are going to witness volatility as we are now approaching the end of the year. The movement of price back and forth is expected which is showing the panic of the last incident and with time the adjustment will happen and volatility will return to the market especially from the traders.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: To afford personal education or a property? Where to allocate funds? on: September 05, 2023, 04:23:31 PM

What is the best investment, in your opinion? To use this money to pay for your education, so you can conclude a superior course and achieve a higher degree, having access to a wide jobs' market,

You made the question easier by adding concluding a superior course and wide job opportunities. Of that is what superior education attracts ideally on a normal circumstances because times are now different from what it was when you can be educated and acquire good job. So it is better to pay for school fees to finish up a higher course that will help you get better job because you can buy bigger properties in the future.

or to use that money to acquire an apartment, house or piece of land, so you can make a passive income from this?

There is no time limit to buy property but education though does not also have limit but the interest might not be there again and your level of knowledge might diminish as you get older. So education should be priority.

It brings the following question up: what is more valued in life: to be or to have? Does it make someone fulfilled to have while not being or being without having anything?

To have is far better than to be. If you are and you can feed yourself then it makes you more frustrated. It is better you are not than to be yet you can't have but if you are and have, that is best combination.
74  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you risking investment in other things? on: September 03, 2023, 07:25:44 PM

Apart from bitcoin, I also have investments in gold and silver, I don't have investments in real estate because the capital I have to use is very high, especially since a lot of real estate values have been manipulated by old peoples. I also have several small gold bars and several necklaces and rings. Even though I know the value of gold will be stagnant and it doesn't seem like it will rise quickly, I have a long-term target for all my investments because there are many things that could happen in the future and I have to prepare everything well from now on.

If you have money to invest in gold and silver then you could also invest in real estate but it depends on how much gold and silver you are investing in because they all are capital investment. About the real estate for example, you don't need huge investment for a start up. You can partner with some land agency who sell in installment to people and you can complete payment by installment after a longtime like 5-10 years time and with that you can still have your gold and silver business running. Many people have own houses by such ways after which they could still mortgage it. Real estate is a lucrative longtime business that even set you up for retirement.
75  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I found Facebook trading group they work with signals wolf of wstreet on: September 03, 2023, 05:38:02 PM
Recently, I saw a broker named Qxbroker and found a YouTube channel where a YouTuber teaches how to trade. How to understand the chart, how to predict it. Not only that, but he has a Telegram signal group. Usually, I don't pay attention to them because I know those scams. After all, they give their viewer premium access to the group. But, in this case, I saw the group is free, and there is a bot that provides signals. I decided to give it a try, and guess what?

I guess those signal providers are feeling leaving telegram and YouTube will be a good disguise for them but it will never be like that because some users still know it is the same strategy. Call groups are only interested in your money, they guarantee winning but it is not as promised. You win and lose most times you lose more. If they are free today after your welcome bonus you are required to pay the next time for you to get the signal.

Most of the time, traders never win the trade in a single shot, and they have martingle the trade. Sometimes two or three times, and yet some trades are lost. If they can win the trade after 3rd try, they consider the signal as a win.
In this case they are struggling with winning a trade if they are ordering in martingale strategy without the first trade in profit. Martingale is better used if the existing trade is in profit then you can use it to accumulate more profit to maximize your gain but using it while you are already in lose, you are putting your account on pressure and soon you lose your account with a volatility against you .
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run within Q4 of 2024? on: September 02, 2023, 10:22:02 PM

And if so, then it is possible that bull will within some months after halving occurred. That means possible time could be within 2024? Or 2025? What is your thought? Note: Invest wtih your own responsibility.

It depends on the demand. In 2016/17 I think the bull started quite after the halving like 6 months to 1 years that was why it got to the peak around December but in 2020, the bull run didn't stay longer after the halving. So this time in 2024, it is not certain how the demand will lead the market but with the increased adoption rate, it might cause price to move higher and faster than expected.
77  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to use Cup and Handle Pattern on: September 02, 2023, 04:47:06 PM
What you are explaining about cup pattern is another way to track support and resistance levels and that is a good lecture. For a trader who understands how support and resistance work they won't have issue to understand your points on the cup pattern. One thing that is important to take home from your post is the stop loss application using the cup breakout pattern for the resistance and support likewise.
78  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why do members switch campaigns always? on: September 02, 2023, 02:02:41 PM
I won't see anything wrong if a participant leaves a campaign whose manager is very strict in certain circumstances and would deny you post that will make up your weekly quota and won't pay you half for the week or refer you to make extra one more post for the new week. This usually happens in campaign that has stated amount of posts that must be made for weekly payment, so if a participant sees a campaign where the post has both minimum and maximum or pay as you post then they might move. However, some users move to different campaigns that has the same characteristics, payment and same manager within a week or two even if for slightest payment difference. I think the major reason is payment and not totally comfort for more than 50% of users doing that.
79  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FALLING FALLING! on: September 01, 2023, 08:42:49 PM
Glad I'm not the only one that spot that structure on the weekly timeframe. Think BTC will dip lower soon the price could deep lower to 16k or more . Hoping for the best but I don't think i will be buying more altcoins now cause of the double top structure afraid it may be a monthly retest which is signalying a downtrend continuation.

Douple top shows a resistance level depending on the time and now if it has appeared in a weekly chart that means a huge drop will occur to shield off other over value of bitcoin before another circle will begin until halving happens  Just as this will be happening to bitcoin, it will also have influence on altcoins and some of them won't get back to their initial price, some will become shit coins in the market afterwards.
80  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: screening coins on: September 01, 2023, 12:22:11 PM
Is there any magic that will be done if you screen a coin? You might make an order after that and it is not a guarantee for a winning trade. Instead of looking for most of AI kind of trade, it is better to develop your strategy and trade what you see. If market is volatile it should reflect in btc pair, checking CMC or coingecko are quite sufficient to follow the natural tides of the market rather than creating more indicators that will end up confusing you and you eventually lose your money. Stay with what you understand while trading.
