61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080ti Card for Mining - which model is best? on: January 02, 2018, 09:33:29 PM
I would definitely go for the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 GAMING.  Cool

HeroMember mentioned above that dual 8-pin" cards like the AORUS 1080 ti line and the EVGA FTW are a NIGHTMARE to provide power to in a multi-GPU setup.

He further said 8 + 6 cards like the EVGA SC and ASUS Turbo models are MUCH easier to deploy in quantity

My question, why are you recommending EVGA FTW3 line?

Just a personal preference. I like to go for the best quality to avoid potential problems somewhere down the line.

That said. I do not have first hand experience with that card. So maybe the hero member may be right.

Though i'm pretty sure you could run them with just the 8-pin, or worst case buy 8-pin splitters which would probably complicate things. But in the long run may be worth it if you get better quality.

EVGA SC and ASUS Turbo models are of good quality as well. So whatever you decide to do, you can't lose.  Wink

Like i said, just my preference.  Wink

Try running with 1 GPU installed at a time so that you can rule out what could be causing the problem.

Also maybe try installing Windows 8/10 or possibly Linux.

Don't give up! Usually it's the most simple things that you just didn't think about that creates the biggest problems. Wink

Oh one or two mine fine but I built 3 500 dollar rigs to hold my GPU's and they are designed to hold 12 cards, not one or 2 unfortunately Sad((

But the moment I go over one or 2 cards on each machine they just crash and burn.

I have 32 gigs of virtual memory on each machine and an additional 4 gig memory stick in each machine as well.

Check the power usage with a power meter. https://www.amazon.com/Electricity-Consumption-Analyzer-Overload-Protection/dp/B0716WQW79/ref=sr_1_cc_2?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1514921509&sr=1-2-catcorr&keywords=watt+meter

Also like i said, Windows 8/10 may be needed as times have changed since the last time you were mining. New drivers/mining software often require Windows 8/10.

And even though you want your rigs to work with more than 2 GPUs, it's important to troubleshoot your problem at the point where the problem starts to happen. So if that's after you add the 3rd GPU, start troubleshooting there to narrow down where the problem is coming from before you move forward.

But again, install Windows 10 first! And check your power usage!

65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: All high power PSU`s available on: January 02, 2018, 10:18:32 AM
I have a collermaster v1000 for around 10 months and never had any problems.

Many have lower gauge wires that could melt on you and damage your hardware.

That's why i avoid them.  Wink
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin $3k by Summer 2018? on: January 02, 2018, 10:02:19 AM
I'm thinking LTC closer to $1500 for summer 2018. Maybe $2000 for the end of the year.

Whatever you do, don't buy Cooler Master!

I never buy anything other than EVGA, Corsair.  Wink

Seems nice. But low resale value, and limited warranty are a big issue.  Roll Eyes
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard advice on: January 02, 2018, 08:02:37 AM
Personally i would go for the ASUS B250 Mining Expert. I haven't had any of the issues that people have been talking about.

I think people are just unlucky, or it's just related to user error.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS B250 Mining Expert MB - 19 Cards! on: December 31, 2017, 07:25:00 AM
Did you try to boot up with no GPUs installed on just integrated graphics?

Then if that works try to adjust bios settings or maybe update bios.

Smart investors will tell you to buy when everyone is selling, and to sell when everyone is buying.

Which part do you think we are at right now?  Wink Grin
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best undervalued coins for 2018 on: December 30, 2017, 06:04:26 PM
I think Intense Coin is another coin that is undervalued that should do well in 2018.

It's a decentralized blockchain based VPN.

Check it out! Wink

74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With how much should i start on: December 30, 2017, 05:42:52 PM
Like many have said, if you're not too experienced start with a smaller amount.

That said, the ideal minimum amount to start with would be around $5000. Otherwise any gains that you make wouldn't be very much to talk about, and not worth the effort really.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of Litecoin (LTC) on: December 30, 2017, 05:37:06 PM
Huge potential for LTC! Litecoin should already be higher than $1k imo. With the long term history, plus ASICs backing it.. There is no reason why the price should be so low.

Plus lightning network is being tested right now.

So get ready for a wild ride in 2018.  Grin

Oh @Vurnak ... take a look in AppData » Roaming » intensecoin. There you sould have you .wallet file. Save it to a pen if you like Wink Then erase all other intense data and Install the new wallet. Then just sync your wallet, it could take several hours. This way you should do it with no problem.

Hello

I mine ITNS in September, on an old wallet that does not sync anymore I remove part of my itns the rest is blocked after downloading the new wallet I can not see my itns.
someone, how can I get them back?

sorry if the translation is bad

thank you !

Do you have your file .wallet safe? If so you delete all files and install 1.4.1 version and then you open you wallet file. Any help justa ask.

I download the new wallet after synchronization the balance is a 0 and the old wallet is blocked if I delete the old I will not lose my give?

thank you!

Copy paste your old wallet file to the new wallet folder and technically your balance should still be there. Don't delete your old wallet.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oh crap! What happened to bitcoins? on: December 30, 2017, 01:32:45 PM
This happens every year around this time. Then during January/February the price rebounds.

Good idea to buy now while it's cheaper than it will be in the coming months.

BTC will be at $50K during 2018.  Cool
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple will be $ 3 at the end of the year! Or not? on: December 30, 2017, 01:22:39 PM
I think it'll be $0.50 in a months time at least. Current price is just a pump.. It can't be sustained at this level.  Roll Eyes
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: December 30, 2017, 01:10:41 PM
Litecoin will get out of this mess. Those who know Charlie since the beginning know that he is not the type of guy that would do anything illegal to get himself into something like that.

Plus he doesn't even need the money.

He is most likely being framed by some LTC haters, more than anything.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The dethroned king... BTC nice to see people realize it was overhyped on: December 30, 2017, 10:56:21 AM
This is all happening because of the unconfirmed transaction problem BTC is experiencing, due to the over saturation of the blockchain.

Because of this, investors are diversifying more to other markets.

As soon as the BTC devs fix this problem, like with Lightning Network for example. It will be business as usual.

When this problem gets fixed expect a huge increase in price. This will be one (if not biggest) updates ever in the history of Bitcoin.

So stock up now while it's 'on sale'.  Grin
