LOL ya it's funny January is over already i can't believe how quick 2019 is moving sadly the overall market hasn't bounced as much as everyone had been hoping in fact its still slumping and lackluster, but hopefully some strong projects will emerge this year to really show us some realistic growth in the industry

It has been extremely lacklustre, a very disappointing 2019 so far for crypto markets. Sort of makes you think is there any way back for cryptocurrency and blockchain projects at this point.

yeah, so sad that the newcomers will not gain some income unlike last 2017 where the market jumps so high in december. Lets hope that something will happen to this year or anything good on this one.

Lol. Crypto right now is a funny space. No one knows what is going to happen. The only people enjoying it right now are the day traders.

I think it will stay like that for a good time; I honestly don't think we will ever see what happened last year with ETH for example was likke above 1500.

Does anyone know if their plug-and-play box miner will only be availabe for purchase to investors from their token sale at the beginning? This would mean there's another incentive to participate in their sale. And when exactly do they plan to ship the first of these miners?

So does this mean they will be competing with other miners around? Would they be made for PoW or would they be supporting other models as well?

I honestly prefer AMA's over even things like whitepapers i just find them to answer directly a lot more of the questions that actually matter while papers tend to have a lot of stuff that i could case less about, while ama's allow people to target the things that matter to the investors

Yes project's whitepapers are very technical and sometimes contain too much information for the average Joe (myself included) AMAs get to the point and it is useful for community members to find out information about their favourite projects. Neuroneum should think about running one soon.

HA at least i'm not the only one that feels that way, i've glazed over a few times when trying to get through some projects whitepapers and especially some of the more eastern white papers that have some language issues, so getting straight to the point from the horses mouth is so much better.

one of the first thing i do is head straight to their telegram channel with questions after that i can start reading the whitepaper some whitepaper are too technical to read

I honestly like technical papers since it reflects how capable the team is. I think the information on the website convey the information for non techies? but it would be great to have a simplified version of course.

I'd do anything for a full month of positive the sideways momentum of the entire market is the most annoying thing, if we can see btc over 5k and eth over 200 it would be a great time for  the industry again but no instead we get this sideways up and down movements that drive everyone nuts

Yeah, it's really frustrating. Not only for us, but also for projects that are looking to raise funds, this whole situation sucks. I just hope that it gets better until May.

a lot of project are struggling to get by in this current market situation i personally think good and sound project will find a way of ensuring they succeed in this situation

I think many projects find their ways in current market situation through private investments? It is just an observation though. For mining in particular it can be easier compared to other projects since you will have something physical?

I don't want to be a pessimist but from the looks of it it will be a hard thing to see anytime soon; I hope I stand corrected but the situation only indicates a bad trend? downwards?

dApps built on Covalent Protocol, that’s a huge and interesting project. But what options does dApps built on Covalent Protocol have in a bearish market?

Isn't it too early for that? I mean they are yet to push the mainnet and are still working on the testnet. It will happen though given that is the core of their proposition.

I would disagree on this one; I think the whitepaper reflect much of the knowledge the team has and it also reflects their capabilities. AMA are crucial but I don't think they are as crucial as the whitepapers

Institutional investment means a great deal because huge some of money is usually the case here I really like to believe COVA have a good deal of investors because their technology is awesome

Instead of ICO, institutional investments are the way to go for future. Otherwise projects will not survive.

Covalent team made a smart choice when they went on the  private sales option. I guess that’s the best option in a bearish market. Also, Covalent got partners.

Smart move i must say but i think they did their sales when the market was still good and sure they got what they needed.

I think it would depend on the business case. i am not sure what the private investors got in return but my guess is that they got their money's worth. I think Cova is doing well so far. Let us see how they progress.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 📢🔥[ANN]NEURONEUM - Best In Decentralized Cloud Computing & Crypto-Mining🔥📢 on: January 28, 2019, 05:28:03 AM

i couldn't find any allocation for bounty in the distribution plan! can you give me the link of bounty thread? i wanna give a look on how it is and what they have in store! might wanna join in for some free bonus!

I was also searching for such data. Its not easily available or atleast I could not find it.

Yeah, I can't see also any bounty allocation in their graph token distribution, but they have something pop up subscription when you go to their website for massive bounty and airdrop program.

The team seem to be getting ready for a massive promotion using bounty and airdrops programs. There’s much discussion about it in the telegram group. You can check the group for more information

The trend with projects used to be minimizing allocation for bounties it seems with the market conditions that is changing; I hope they set a good distribution for bounty hunters as I think they will aid in pushing the project forward.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Neuroneum - Advance Cloud Computing and Crypto Mining Technology on: January 27, 2019, 04:35:03 AM

Mining is really an important thing for crypto! if Neuroneum can create a platform where they can connect some regular users with the mining firm without any fuzz then simply this will be awesome!

Do you guys think mining, or better Proof of Work has a future? You can't argue that especially Bitcoin mining consumes a lot of power, which is critisized by a lot of people. So I have my doubts that PoW really has a future, I am not really a fan of it.

That's a good question. I don't think PoW belongs to the future. And personally, I'm more of a friend of PoS. I think there will be something different in the future, but I don't know what:-)

Honestly many individuals were introduced to crypto around end of 2017 early 2018 which made a lot of flow in the market and many made profits and many had losses. What remained or remains is business adoption now. I think businesses would not opt for PoW?

Does anyone here actually know how high the income from the private sale was? I can't find any exact information on the homepage.
But it would be interesting how high the reserves are, if the now 150million tokens want to buy back.

Me too I didn't hear anything about it but if I'm not mistaken they really got some good amount there for the project? I guess they really will going to do it and do the buy back program without any problem.

Did they disclose the exact numbers about what was raised in the private sale? It's a good question but I think they won't publish it if they haven't already done it by now. But I am sure they won't announce a 150MM token buy-back program if that would bear the risk that the project runs out of funds.

I can't remember if I read it any where; as far as my knowledge is extended I don't think they mentioned it any where for that matter. I am guessing they go enough not to go for the public sale.

I think I saw it in one of their articles but I can't recall the figures they raised exactly. But i know that institutional investors actually invested a much.

I must have missed it or something; I mean I've read that they got serveral investments from likes of FBG but not sure about the figure; I guess will just have to search around

Well to be a hundred percent honenst i've seen other projects say they will do the card but have run into issue i'll be interested to see the details and partners that sign the deal for the cards to see how it runs through, its something that needs to happen but in 2017-2018 became harder to implement in the networks

I think it needs to go through several legal procedures and for that it would take time. I don't think all would be able to pull it through but I think the most serious would be able to push out one.

Didn't know the bounty had started, i'l have to check it out to see how it compares against some of the other projects i'm looking at i tend to like to pick up some if the tasks are easy enough especially for projects that have a chance of going nuts if the team delivers on promises.

It has already started? I don't think so. At least I haven't found anything. I know they have plans for bounty program and their Telegram admin confirmed that it will be starting shortly but we have to be patient a little longer.

I thought it was running for sometime now. Given it is happen way ahead of the sale date wouldn't this effect the reward? On the other side I understand the important of having one running as much as possible.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Neuroneum - Advance Cloud Computing and Crypto Mining Technology on: January 26, 2019, 06:17:49 AM
I’m a bit confused here about this project. It seems to be a kind of project that would be very interesting and could easily get adopted, but what more can cloud computing be used for other than mining bitcoins?

the most beautiful thing about this project is the fact that they want to create a platform where users can share mining rig so it is not as if they are going to host rig themselves

Cloud computing itself isn't really new i mean, it's used for just about everything these days, azure, google cloud, aws are all cloud services, the difference is companies like this are trying to find a way to offer a distributed version of cloud computing leveraging unused compute power from users for the normal things + mining, whether they can do it is another story.

It has been proven successful for the likes of aws and azure; It might make sense for crypto mining as well. I think in this case they could extend their set of services to also include traditional cloud services and not only mining.

Everyone in the crypto space is talking about Covalent. The team has been smart in making decisions. Now, we would have some dApps on Covalent Ecosystem. That’s certainly going to give COVA more value. I wouldn’t miss the next phase of cova token buyback.

That a good decision. COVA Tokens buyback phase I would end in two days. Next would be the phase II and it’s going to be huge. Also, I can’t wait to see Covalent team next announcement on the dApp Ecosystem.

What A good news, a lot of people are talking to the team because of its feature and project, thats a good one , we can attract more investor to this one.

What is interesting is that no public sale happened and it was only sold through an exchange. So having such a move is a big step for the project and its promotion.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 📢🔥[ANN]NEURONEUM - Best In Decentralized Cloud Computing & Crypto-Mining🔥📢 on: January 26, 2019, 06:15:38 AM
If a company like these can get a real crypto card out it would be huge for the market, people are always looking for that stop gap to move between the crypto and fiat worlds, i've been trying to find one for a while, my only main concern is project tries to do too many features and doesn't  finish them before people get inpatient

Yup mate, you are right, right now there are still gaps between crypto and fiat, and not all of the country now about crypto. But for sure when time comes, a lot of people will accept this.

I think it is the next trend in the crypto world; several project aim for it. I think however the first to roll it would take the lead. I know it would require several authorizations and approvals to get it running. Let us see what they can do.

Hello everyone, here is another exciting update from COVA.
Covalent kicks off 150MM COVA buy-back program. https://t.me/covalentofficial/113477

Wow. That’s great.
Covalent team would start the tokens buy back today on the first stage of the tokens buyback. It’s going to last for the next five days. Tokens up to 50 million  would be used to setup the COVA dApp Ecosystem Fund.

When did they sell their tokens? Now they are going ahead with buyback. Buyback from whom?
Their were private investors! and team released some token on market through the BITMAX Airdrop and sold some when they first came in the market! in simple word they are buying back from circulating supply!
if so, Covalent's token market conditions will be stable, because the team will maintain the quality of their token prices, and even covalen tokens will also become more valuable if the project team continues to develop their performance.
i do expect it to! this is no small project really! when i first bumped into this project this really impressed me! if you're still not satisfied with COVA then i'll suggest you to check their TEAM! you'll definitely know what i'm talking about!

I guess the biggest value to the project is if one of the partners started using the platform. The more users the more valuable it would become.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 📢🔥[ANN]NEURONEUM - Best In Decentralized Cloud Computing & Crypto-Mining🔥📢 on: January 25, 2019, 06:57:56 PM

Even if the market looks the same in May, the months until the start can be very important to create some kind of hype around the project: To build the community and to spread the word about Neuroneum on different crypto-news pages.

Timeline is extremely crucial for any project especially in cryptos. I hope the project might have made excellent research on that.

Sure, they will have their reasons for starting their tokensale only at the beginning of May. I just hope for the project that the crypto market has recovered until then and that more people will know Neuroneum then.

]]

So the main sale starts in May and the pre-sale is currently running? Is there any benefit to buying tokens early? For example, is there preferential pricing or any discounts on offer?
there should be some delicious bonus for private investors! i mean they are the ones that help a project get going at first place! so Neuroneum will definitely have some bonus in store for you if you invest!

It looks like it is going well for them; based on the number on their website they managed to raise 1.1 mil so far. They need 5 mil to complete this round.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Neuroneum - Advance Cloud Computing and Crypto Mining Technology on: January 25, 2019, 09:41:05 AM

True! they needs to answer some really basic concepts! there aren't many people that'll read the whole whitepaper to really understand the project! so make things easy they really should held an AMA where they explain the whole things!

AMA is always the best way to reach the team. Any legit team will love to do that. We have to ask this in their telegram channel

I see many project that go thru AMA are having a good relationship to their investors and participant on their project. And all the questions can be answer thru AMA so that all the people can clear their minds by answering their questions.

AMAs are useful for potential investors because they can find out some answers to important questions that the team might not have covered yet. I think Neuroneum should follow this model.

AMAs are super important for any crypto project because a lot of crpyto enthusiasts will want to get a first hand answers to questions regarding the project so i will urge the team to organise an AMA

I think the same too. It would also help them get a listing early on; i know exchanges are too soon to discuss but I think it would help them if they could land an exchange before the sale.
