whats going on with the price..it keeps declining on and on...and some dumbass decided to unload 2k of dark on mintpal in such a rediculous price....fuck this piece of shit.....after the completation of rc4 nothing changed...if the price reach again 0.01 im going to unload 20k of dark and panic crash the price further...so fucking dissapointed it looks like whales are not interested by coin anymore...and no trust for the coin even though is the first one truely ANONYMOUS COIN out there....nothing changed
Probably because anonymity is a detriment going forward if you care about broad appeal and price. If you don't care about commercial value, then sure, its great. The echo chamber here won't tolerate divergent views though. My thoughts echo yours regarding widespread commercial adoption of an anonymous cryptocurrency. Fungibility. |

Since updating my wallet to 0.10.12.27 I got 58 transactions as "Darksend Denominate" or "Payment to yourself" with -0.001 DRK: But there is still no anonymized balance:  Wallet was online the whole day. How can I stop it paying denomination fees without anonymizing my DRKs? My settings are on standard, so 2 rounds of denomination. Found this a few times in debug.log: 2014-08-14 15:15:29 DoAutomaticDenominating : No funds detected in need of denominating Try setting DS rounds to 1, some people are having problems getting more rounds than that right now. Ok, I've set it to 1 now and see what happens. But as oblox says it shouldn't be 58 transactions. And finally I got 17 of 18 DRK anonymized.  Very pleased to here that! Did you change to 1 denom in the end? |

Have a look under coin control - you'll see what's happening. (Settings>Options>Display tab>check Display Coin Control Features then go back to Send tab and click Coin Control box.) This is normal?  In coin control it shows 3 chunks of coins, which have 2 rounds of denomination. Will darksend denominate these chunks separately and charge me 8 rounds worth of denomination per chunk? maybe its denominating per received transaction? (lets say you have 10 transactions that together form 100 DRK in yr wallet then maybe yr wallet is denominating each transaction seperately ?) For each round it normally takes two Darksend Denominate transactions .. i think. I wonder if using coincontrol to bundle all transactions into one transaction and that sending to yrself wouldnt be more efficient and maybe cost you less fees.. not sure. I would just wait till its done with the denominations and see if your overview then shows a Total Balance and a Anonymize amount. Yes that's what im saying, thanks for elaborating. Edit: More denominations are getting confirmations, so its not spam. I think it denominates individual deposits(chunks) that you have sent to your wallet over time. So if you sent 50drk on the 20th of may, and 50drk on 20th of june to your wallet, and you have 8 rounds set in options, it will denominate the 50drk from the 20th of may 1st with 8 rounds, and the other 50drk with another 8 rounds, making the cost about 0.016? |

What is going on with denominations? Wallet is taking 0.001drk every 5-10 minutes, puts my coins to unconfirmed and them back to total balance. Anonymused is 0. Is this how it is supposed to work?  Click settings, options and change the amount of darksend rounds to what ever you want. |

Can somebody interpret this thread for me: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/rc4-testing.1830/page-98We are already two weeks past the "original" projected release date. I understand that the entire Darkcoin code had to be rewritten from scratch and that takes awhile, and I definitely agree that the code needs to be as close to perfect as possible before release (especially due to all the bad actors out there). I do think, however, that with a dedicated community manager we should receive thorough progress reports more than once every two weeks. Two days ago, Evan was saying in the testing thread that the code was basically ready to launch within a day or two. Throughout the day people kept posting bugs and he kept fixing them. He most have posted over a dozen times that day. Now we are back to the occasional once or twice a day post without any update on how the "big picture" is going. Today I'm seeing people posting that autodenominate is completely broken in the most current test release. Can somebody give us lay people a better understanding of what is going on from the testing and coding standpoint? Even better would be a new official update on an expected timeframe for release. Are we still within a day or three of release? Are we looking at another two weeks? I wouldn't be shocked if it was the latter. But the most important thing is that darksend+ will be released, and we will have a truly anonymous coin very soon. |
