I've lost half my money. I bought at .018. I'm fucking losing my mind. I have debt collectors calling my cell. IDK how the fuck they even got the number. I JUST NEED TO GET A LITTLE AHEAD. I DONT WANT TO GET RICH I JUST WANT TO NOT BE DROWNING!  I tried so hard to remain calm but I'm losing it... I can't calm down.. I feel for you there, but you took a huge risk by investing funds you don't have, bad move. Do you have any idea what it's like to never have any money? Then can you understand why someone would make a move to just try to get a few months extra rent. Or to pay off crushing debt? So why not just go to the casino with your credit card, right? Your mentality is all wrong! Calm down... read alot about darkcoin, look at the tiny volume which has brought the price down, look at the test net and how amazing RC4 and Darksend+ works. Take it easy is all, bro. Also, debt collectors can be held off with a phone call, and a $1 payment or pounds. Call a debt charity, look into DROs. |

Seriously when the fuck is the price going to go up... When is RC4 coming out... Early August was stated its August 10th.
From the testing forum, looks like testing is coming to a close... (Speculation) Dear Darkcoin testers, dear all,
i want to say "Thank you" in the name of the dev team. The reports of bugs are very, very useful for us, and each is helping us making Darkcoin a better piece of software.
As we see a lot of feedback coming from non Linux users, we feel encouraged that it was the right approach to make Windows and OSX builds of RC4 publicly available.

I have been testing rc4 for over a week. Every update Evan has submitted improved the testnet. The latest release is the smoothest by far! Darksend+ is working and soon to be released. BTW, because of Kristov Atlas's comment on one of his last youtubes, I started reading Atlas Shrugs (did Kristov change his name due to this?) Anyway, it's kept me up last week, way too many nights LOL. I've read Ayn Rand, but never this book. I don't agree with her 100%, but this book is fun, and makes a point. A bit of a blunt point, but that's ok  So, um, book recommendation. Atlas Shrugged. Oh, combine that with that video someone posted (Post again?) of where money comes from. - Taken seriously enough to have Kristov Atlas onboard to help review and improve the technology

- IP obfuscation and open source after Kristov review is the last piece of the puzzle.
Now compare this to some of our competitors who:- Can only make videos as justification to prove it works.
- Have not had any REAL discussions on how the technology actually applies to design & attack weaknesses. When questioned, replies like "we have thought and tested through these scenarios"....so suddenly you are world leading security experts and can test against all known attack vectors.
- Release whitepapers with a box with a single word in it which supposed to encompass the entire solution, my 3 year old can do this
- Have to tell their users to "refrain" from using the solution when they release it, then why release it?
- When questioned about their solution, delete the posts in their thread and in the media deliver one line statements like "the data is encoded to hide the sender"...but how..?
- Cannot even get anonymity working so lets start coding an entire openmarket to give more hype....If you dont think anonymity is a serious and complex enough solution, you obviously have no idea.
- Have no background to the development team as they are 100% anonymous. What if they are just great video editors and graphic designers.
- Both of the main competitors use Proof of Stake and have given only 1 week of PoW....this is taking centralization to a new level.
I could go on...but if you cannot understand what a joke the competitors are, you should sell your house and invest in WankCoin, im hearing its due for a pump. Good post! |

I don't think DRK will outright "replace" BTC, but I think they'll be looking at each other eye-to-eye in the near future...
I think Bitcoin is going to remain a very popular and sort of "mainstream" crypto-currency. Whereas Darkcoin is going to provide a global financial system for anonymous, private transactions -- the world's first global "dark currency market". Bitcoin and Darkcoin will co-exist for quite some time and have a symbiotic relationship. And I think you'll see people in the future swapping large amounts of BTC for DRK and back into BTC after using Darksend to anonymize their Bitcoin activity... essentially making DRK an anonymous on-ramp/off-ramp for Bitcoin. You'll probably also see anonymous banking, anonymous stock/futures/FOREX brokerages, dark exchanges and all sorts of awesome privacy centric financial infrastructure spring up around Darkcoin.
With Darkcoin being a bit more "exotic" than Bitcoin, a lower coin supply (for now) and high demand, I think 1 DRK might trade at 1.5x to 3x the value of 1 BTC but Bitcoin may retain a higher total market cap for some time...
