Sorry for all disturbing Cheesy

But i find new problem:

Some long time ago i use pocminer_V1 for solo mining.. And

i put my password into PASSPHRASE.TXT than click on DUMB_ADRESS.BAT and i get this: 152566XXXX1616XX
I lose my password and i only have that number now.

Dont you now how to get my password from this number ?

You can try one of these free utilities. You may be able to recover it if you have not done a clean on the HDD.

Hi EVERYONE!!!

i read most of this pages and have few questions..

I have 3 PC's with generated plots, on ich one is 600GB plot. I know that exist some SYMLINK or something.. But, how can i mine with this on pool like if i were mining with one PC or with one big capacity Cheesy ?
Mining on pool V1 now, dont get anything for quite long time Sad

Or how i can effectively use my 3 PC's where on every PC is 600 GB plot ?

THANKS a lot for responses!!!
You need to generate plot on pool address if you are on v1 pool i think. Are you mining on solo plots you generated? If so then you are mining on wrong pool may be that is why you didnt get anything for long time. Change pool and see Wink About 3 pc's separate plot you join the pool from each pc and mine, i dunno if they can be merged and mine like one space.. Or wait for experts to comment, i can be wrong also i dont read all posts here so  Smiley

Yes, i have plots genereted for pool V1.

My command line: "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xmx2500m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate NUMBER_ADRESS 5242902 409600 6000 4

And my generated plots looks like this:

NUMBER_ADRESS_2867204_409600_2000

So, to mine on pool V2 i need to "register" on V2 with different wallet on ich PC or.?

And do wallet need to be open/runnig all the time? Or how pool recognize that i send him "share"?

Maybe some kind soul explains how to do it? Cheesy
THANKS!!!!!

V2 pool works on your solo plot, you just need some settings from pool and edit your miner folder and you ll need poc pool miner. Pool instructions here http://178.62.39.204:8121/ ... Pool miner link must be on OP, please check there.  Wink Yes you need to register with different wallet and mine on pool from each pc for now  Grin

THANKS! I had figured out it few minutes ago Cheesy Before this post Cheesy
im on same situatuon as Livus. My mining on v1 pool gives me Low payouts. I want to start working on the v2 pool nad i would like to Ask you guys am i correct with this. So: my plots generated for v1 pool are useless and i need to make simply solo plots. I need new wallet adress (but why?). I dont understand how its gonna work when ill create solo plots. I mean how to do to mine on pool but not solo. I just need to use pool miner with solo plots right ? And od yes how to configure this pool miner to really work on this pool.
Look at the v2 pool guide, you ll see steps by steps guide there. You dont need new wallet, just delete or backup your v1 pool plot and generate solo plots first. For some reason i dont know it only works with solo plot, you will rename or remove your passphrase to work it with that pool. Check there first for other guides and figure out, you can do it just simple steps.  Wink

Ok..
I done it step by step like it says here:
http://burst-pool.cryptoport.io/howto.html

On each of my PC's are now new downloaded miners. And i moved my old generated plots to that miners folders.

Problem is (i think) that i had generated all my plots for my "old" one wallet.
And now when i start mining i see this:

how do i know that the file generated successfully....my plot runner was running ...i am not sure when it closed..the size is good....but how do i make sure the file generated fine?Huh

You easy recognize it when you start to mine and you will see in that window something like this:

ERROR file reading                            <----- that means you have generated file that is not full but you can mine with it like with full generated
no valid shares to submit to pool

Is there any way yet i can plot with multi-gpus on a rig? or make involve two gpus with some device 0, device 1 types of setting inside batch file? Did you or anyone here try that option? Im just curious if that finds some solution for two graphic cards?

What is your full parameter ?

Hi everyone,

After many hours of setup I finally made it. I have a 1Tb generation in progress and 3x100Gb already finished.
I would like to test the V2 pool but I haven't any BURST for now. Could someone send me 1 BURST to test it please ? Here is my address : BURST-YA29-QCEW-QXC3-BKXDL.

Regarding the plot generation, I found an OpenCL implementation of Shabal (https://github.com/aznboy84/X15GPU/blob/master/kernel/shabal.cl) that could be used to make a GPU version of the generator. I will try to work on it when I have some free time.

Regards

Hi everyone,

As promised I have been working on a GPU plot generator on the last few days. I made a little program built on top of OpenCL, and it seems to work pretty well in CPU mode. Unfortunately, I can't test the GPU mode as it requires a very powerfull graphic card (with at least 46kB private memory per compute unit, because the algorithm needs at least 4096*64 static bytes to store an entire plot).

Here is a preview you can test for now :
gpuPlotGenerator-src-1.0.0.7z : https://mega.co.nz/#!bcF2yKKL!3Ud86GaibgvwBehoxkbO4UNdiBgsaixRx7ksHrgNbDI
gpuPlotGenerator-bin-win-x86-1.0.0.7z : https://mega.co.nz/#!HJsziTCK!UmAMoEHQ3z34R4RsXoIkYo9rYd4LnFtO_pw-R4KObJs

I will build another release in the end of the day with some minor improvements (threads per compute unit selection, output of OpenCL error codes, improvement of the Makefile to generate the distribution directly).
I will also try to figure out another mean to dispatch the work between the GPU threads to reduce the amount of private memory needed by the program.

For the windows people, you can use the binary version directly.
For the linux people, just download the source archive, make sure to modify the OpenCL library and lib path in the makefile (and maybe the executable name), and build the project via "make". To run the program, you need the "kernel" and the "plots" directories beside the executable.

The executable usage is : ./gpuPlotGenerator <address> <start nonce> <nonces> <stagger size>
The parameters are the same as the original plot generator, without the threads number.

If you find bugs or if you want some new features, let me now.

If you want to support me, here are my Bitcoin and Burst addresses :
Bitcoin: 138gMBhCrNkbaiTCmUhP9HLU9xwn5QKZgD
Burst: BURST-YA29-QCEW-QXC3-BKXDL

It's nice to see someone else working on this, since I seem to have failed in it.

Private memory is actually part of global on AMD cards, so storing it in private isn't any better than just using global for everything; it's local that needs to aimed for for the massive speedup. No AMD cards have more than 64KB local per workgroup, which makes storing it all in local impossible however.

I haven't tried your implementation yet, but on my own first attempt, I also used global on everything also, and the result was faster than the java plotter, but slower than dcct's c plotter. My 2nd attempt used a 32KB local buffer I rotated through for storing the currently being hashed stuff, however I couldn't figure out how to get it copied also to global fast enough, and the local -> global copy killed the performance.

You might be interested in those kernels here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=731923.msg8695829#msg8695829

Thanks, I will look at your kernels to see if I can find a better solution.

Here is the new version. I reduced the amount of memory used from 40KB to about 1KB per unit. The only drawback is that it requires twice the global memory as before. I will search a mean to reduce this overhead later.
In CPU mode, it all goes pretty well (when no graphic card is detected).
The GPU mode is still kind of buggy on my graphic card (an old GeForce 9300M GS), don't know the exact reason yet. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I will try to fix this issue tomorrow.

Here are the files :
gpuPlotGenerator-src-1.1.0.7z : https://mega.co.nz/#!iYFWAL5B!BvtmRQ5qGq4gGwjDglFNtDtNIX4LDaUvATBtClBdTlQ
gpuPlotGenerator-bin-win-x86-1.1.0.7z : https://mega.co.nz/#!aBVGBBQD!tBsRtb8VrHR12_anrFTrl41U0fPQu_OqFnxyi5nCyBY

For the linux users, the Makefile has a new target named "dist" that builds and copy/paste all the necessary files to the "bin" directory.

The executable usage is : ./gpuPlotGenerator <path> <address> <start nonce> <nonces> <stagger size> <threads>
<path> : the path to the plots directory
<threads> : number of parrallel threads for each work group

So the usage would be like this: "D:/gpuPlotGenerator <numerical_account_address> 0  819200 4096 <cpu/gpu_threads?>"

Is that format correct? Is the thread count need for gpu plotting(Point out in bold)? What's the nonce/minute rate?

Hi,

This is still a buggy early stage version. I post it here to have feedback from people who owns more powerfull graphic cards (the behaviour may vary from one card to another).
But yes, the final usage would be the one you mentioned. The threads parameter is the number of threads used in the local work group. In GPU mode, the value should be a multiple a 64, 256 is the typical value for most of the cards.

Ok i made a test with my R9 290

I Put 256 in thread (apparently can't put more)

And in 1min15 i generate from nonce 888597 to nonce 900885, So 9830 nonce minute, not bad at all

What config you use???
I have tried this on my 280x:

--->  gpuPlotGenerator.exe "C:\Users\Fantom\Desktop\GPU_POC\plots" NUMERICALADRESS 0 16382 4096 4

and it just exits without writing new file..

They ARE on the block chain, because I went back to an old 8/1/14 wallet.dat and deleted everything. I did export my key AND reimport into new wallet.dat and resync ,but it does not matter because those failed transactions keep returning because they are on the block chain. Appreciate your suggestions.

Sorry for you, hope you get your Super's back Smiley

I buy some SuperCoins on ALLCOIN.COM while all wallets didnt work and yesterday i sent them to my wallet without any problems.. So ALLCOIN.COM was all time synced?

My old coins that i have on old blokchain succesfully showed in my new 3.1.1 wallet.

Dont really understend why this is not working for you Sad

I've been a die hard supporter since the inception of NOBL. NOBL has been my coin of choice for mining, that's it, since January. I mine with Poolerino and Lifeforce and had great success with them both. I'm investing in the developers and the community. That's a big deal to me. It builds confidence. I don't mine to dump, I mine to use. While the the price has dropped, I have wondered about my investment, but this community and the regular updates and transparency from developers like Rofo make me feel much better about where I stand. Keep up the good work guys and I appreciate your efforts to stand apart from every other alt coin.
+1 Gizmo. I can vouch for you as I have been mining from the beginning also without dumping any (I still mine 24/7). It's interesting how similar our attitude/thoughts are towards Noble and Jason. I think the Noble community as a whole have similar views and that is one of our best assets.

Although it's uncomfortable watching the value of your investment diminishing 1 satoshi every few days, if we forget about the price for a short time and think about what Rofo (and the Noble community) are accomplishing it makes it all seem worth it again. IMO even IF we were to fail, it was still worth it because we did it the NOBLE way without cheating, stealing, scamming or screwing anyone over!

P&Ders will always get the recognition they don't deserve (thanks to human nature) in the short term, but if we outlast them then we have a great chance of long term success by slowly filtering to the top.

I think it's worth mentioning that I also support Dnotes. For those that don't know, they have a close community also and the developers work like Rofo.
They did a halving of mining supply a few months ago and the price went up from 250sat to over 1000. Is a halving something Noble should look at doing as a intermediate progression before POS?

+1.. I think NOBLE  is great "OLDSCHOOL" coin where everithing is on level. I mine some for few weeks and buy some.. Its great coin that needs more popularity Smiley
