Hello everyone,
Thought I'd jump in here to provide a development update.
Round three of testing is about to begin shortly. There was a problem with the forging rewards which is now being corrected along with several other bug fixes we found during the investigation. We fixed majority of the issues in the BPL-cli but one major bug persists that also resides within the ARK-cli. If we find a fix for it we will make sure to let the ARK team know about it as well.
A few changes we will make to the testnet are as follows.
The reward switch over will be at block 17280 instead of 40,000. This is just to speed up testing so we don't waste time.
All of the genesis nodes will be installed along with NTP so all 201 genesis delegates will be fully functional.
Beyond that the rewards switch over worked flawlessly, the chain is stable and forging at the 15 second block times with all 201 delegates displaying on the explorer.
BPL Distribution is scheduled for September because of a few issues we came across during testnet but if the community agrees, it is likely we will turn the masterchain live before then.
Beyond what we are fixing now we don't believe there are any other problems with the testnet or the wallet. If anybody does find a problem please report it on our github since we check that daily.
The testnet bounties are currently being calculated. There are several people I was unable to cross verify as having signed up on the list. I will be attempting to contact those people in case they used a different SN during signup. There are also many people who signed up for the testnet but do not have a forging delegate live. Please note that in order to be eligible to receive the BPL Testnet bounty you actually have to participate in the testnet. This means building, configuring and monitoring your delegate(s) along with participation with reporting bugs.
Update on the BIT API
Development on the BIT API started last week and we tested our first iteration of it today using the ADC chain. This is still very early on in development so we did run into a couple different problems that we are now working through but the overall progress is very promising.
I will be providing more updates shortly when we are ready for the next iteration of the testnet.

Hello everybody. The testnet is still open to participants who wish to join. Bounties for this have not been calculated because testing has yet to finish. We did come across a bug on Monday which the developers believe they have fixed. A new round of testing will begin tomorrow after all 201 forging delegates have been setup.

Can I ask for a big favor as a dedicated supporter? I have about 460000 ADC stuck on my faulty laptop hdd which I wanted to invest to the TEC. Unfortunately, I don't have a backup copy of the wallet (I know it's silly), service people are trying hard to recover my data but they are telling me it's impossible to read it anytime soon this week. So, can I reserve this amount as a promised payment now and do the transaction later? I'm not asking to have an access to BPL before I recover my ADC wallet. Thank you for understanding.

Thank you to everybody who has signed up for the BPL testnet so far. We did hit a snag during development where the coin rewards were not calculating correctly. Our developers are fixing the problem now but due to this bug we have to put off the testnet for a week. I will post again when I have an update.

However because the TEC is using a price discovery system we are expecting people to get in at the very last moment in hopes of gaining more coins. I wonder if blockpool will also make it like how Ark did that it rise up after listed on exchanges. Yeah it should have been. I fixed it now. We have been advertising relatively lightly while we updated the website. Since the site was updated we raised 15,000 in less than 10 hours and plan on really hitting the advertising hard now that the new site is up. A quick reminder for anybody using an exchange to send coins. If you use shapeshift remember to include the fee for shapeshift AND the fee for the exchange. The payment will be declined by shapeshift if it does not exactly match the expected amount. We had several declined payments overnight because of this. |

The updated website has been released! Live updates for amount raised, users no longer have to wait for payments to be adjusted for the 100 sat ADC promise. LISK and SHIFT have also been added as payment methods.
