61  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin recommended by '#1 Forex news portal' on: June 16, 2013, 07:25:29 AM
I might just have to use this "Plus500" bucket house they are advertising. Sounds like they are a very legitimate news source to me
62  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: (test STOCK) buying BTC instant, automatic, provable (testing) on: June 15, 2013, 10:55:07 PM
bought a $100 moneypak and helped with a browser problem on my end, thanks
63  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS Sapphire 420mh/s or 420kh/s 6870s stock with the 5870 Cypress Processor on: June 11, 2013, 06:12:52 AM
no offense but wanting us to pay $225 for something you bought for $130 isn't fair. now if you tried to sell for $150 for new ones you still might have some buyers and some profit
64  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 20 Pack pcie 1x to 16x connectors Blowout. on: June 10, 2013, 03:55:49 AM
actually they sell for about $3 if you wait for them to come from china so $6 is still way overpriced. Especially since very few people would want 20
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] Coinotron - LTC pool RBPPS = 2% fee, only 15 confirmations !!! on: June 09, 2013, 04:08:02 AM
it looks like you got your wish

I had 40 FTC in unconfirmed and after I refreshed it went down to 15.  Nothing more put in confirmed.  Its now up to 21 unconfirmed and still nothing more in confirmed.  This worked fine for LTC, not sure whats happening with FTC.  Ill mine some more FTC here if this gets resolved.

Same here, I've lost 10 unconfirmed FTC. What the hell is going on?Huh If the f*cking pool can't work properly shut it down now!!
66  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Decent Quality Power Strips? Mine Keep Popping on: June 08, 2013, 04:36:51 PM
Really the best way to go about this is with a 240v circuit and a 240v pdu. You can buy a used one off amazon for about $100, most of these are rated for 30amp so that's 7200 watts. The only bad part about that is you may spend $40-50 bucks on c13-c14 cables to plug into your power supplies
67  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Quiet 7950s on: June 07, 2013, 08:38:50 AM
sapphire vapor-x or gigabyte triple fan. vapor-x is my choice though, lower temps
68  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10x difficulty = 10x price? on: June 04, 2013, 09:13:55 PM
Difficulty will either bubble, and crash back down or yes price eventually will have to increase. Just like with the block halving everyone said price would go up because of lack in supply. But the supply didn't really change, we had 10,000,000 coins one day and 10,003,600 the next. Difficulty will eventually drive price and few people know this, yet old timers continue to lie about it. Price was driven up with gpu miners and it will also eventually be driven up again by asic miners. But it may be months or a year to take effect as people are looking for quick payoffs

edit: on second thought maybe forget everything I just said because I want to be a millionaire in a few years and I don't want you cutting into any of my profits  Grin
69  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Pure reference 7970's $335 on: May 29, 2013, 07:23:39 PM
1. reference cards are better than non reference
2. sells non reference for $380
3. buys reference for $335
4. Profit

lol
70  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Lower voltage of Sapphire 7950 to reduce power (linux-usb)[firmware mod] on: May 29, 2013, 08:09:15 AM
I figured it out no one send you had to add -f force parameter to get it to actually flash it
71  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Need Help on Deciding on a 4 7950 Cards on: May 28, 2013, 06:25:52 PM
This is only if you get a good asic quality. He obviously has an over 75% card. You probably won't get this good of a card. Some sapphire reference run at much higher volts/temps. One of the ones I got uses over 250 watts to hit about 575 mhash. On the other hand I have some vapor-x cards as well. Even bad asic quality ones run low wattage but they may max out at about 550 mhash or so. Personally I like the vapor x more but they do have a higher price

I have the Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 from Amazon. The voltage is unlocked and stock is 1.08. I am able to get about 610 Mh/s with the voltage upped to 1.09, the core at 1190, the memory at 200 and the fan at 75%. The 2 GPU's I have going right now sit at 58 - 60C without risers.

What cards do these work for? they don't work for reference 7950's, (ie sapphire 4l)

Well, in short:

I have 7970 cards with original BIOS at 1.17V. I wasn't able to hexedit the voltage down on them.
I am not saying is impossible, only saying that I could not do it. Maybe because what sveetsnelda said here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=207898.msg2177876#msg2177876
Probably there are workarounds for it as described later in the same thread. OK.

So I took a 7950 BIOS which has the voltage already at a lower value of 1.09V and hexedit the memory (which is possible and rather easy this time) to a lower value.
I made two of them, one at 300 Mhz and one at 150 (the one I am using now).

If you want to have a look at them: BIOS 7950.zip

And please post if you find a method to alter the voltage.
73  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Help getting my 7970 past the 660 Mhash/s barrier on: May 26, 2013, 08:46:17 AM
Every card is different if you want to read asic quality read it with the program gpu-z. If your 60%-70% which I would guess you probably are you won't get 700 megahash. Sorry to ruin it for you. IIRC correctly you need 75-80% to hit over 700 megahash reliably
74  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: 3 x SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 OC on: May 24, 2013, 03:16:57 AM
You save over $15 in paypal fees by not using paypal though and you don't pay exchange fees to buy btc. I'm sorry but par is not the way the world works just like you don't get "par" prices selling on craigslist

Nothing wrong with being on par, considering the exchange fees and difficulty exchanging BTC for fiat.

If you're interested make an offer! Smiley
75  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitmunitions.com - Secure ammunition re-seller that only accepts Bitcoins on: May 23, 2013, 08:32:29 PM
So looks like its a scam after all. Well thanks for the info

you show pics of the dual fan model not the vapor-x model, which one do you have?

79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FRC] - Difficulty Adjustment fork moved closer! [HARD-FORK @ block #28336!] on: May 20, 2013, 01:03:23 AM
so basically expect the network to still be stalled out, since that will only be 85-90% profitability of bitcoin. Why didn't you use a trc-like difficulty adjustment. Anyone who says its too prone to pool hopping has never tried it, lol.

what are we roughly expecting the difficulty to go to once the fork occurs?
From 148451 to 37112, then further downwards if the hash rate stays low.

lol good question its hearsay so I don't know for sure where... but nobody got time for that

where does it say trading moneypaks is against greendot's terms of service?
