Lyra2REv2 settings for 1070 Amor ?

No one is running 1070s in Lyra2REv2  ? I am looking for the overclock settings
Thanks

you should be able to use +125/+200 as a starting point and work your way towards +200/+600 depending on your specific card

my gpu's  are never above 40 Celsius mining lira2z non stop.......

What hashrate do you get on Lyra2z? And which miner is that using? I could never find a hashrate on that for 1080 ti.

~3400kH/s per card

3400 at 60% tdp and 3650 at 74%tdp.  My personal sweetspot for profitability is around 64%
and what do you mine? GIN? If it so - it does not highest profit coin, but one of the best with Lyra2z. So are you mining for max profit, or good algo?

just pointed at nicehash using dredge 0.5

UPDATE:
- added bminer-v9.0.0 (BTM support)

Will we see cryptodredge included at some point? (or is there another effective lyra2z miner i should use instead?)
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoDredge ‎NVIDIA GPU Miner v0.1.0 (Windows) on: June 26, 2018, 05:15:13 PM
Someone already tested these algorithms with a GTX 1080 Ti? Huh

EVGA 1080ti SC, 76%PL, +90core, +125mem

lyra2z is giving 3.62MH
Lyra2r2 gives  73.7MH (minimal improvement from ~72.9MH in version 0.4.0)

Very quiet thread

Where are you mining guys currently ?
Lasts weeks I was on blazepool. Income arround 2 - 3€/card/day, with 12xGTX 1080 Ti @60%

Any advice ?

ive been sitting on lyra for the last week or two since it overtook equihash as the best "set-and-forget" option. Vertcoin (VTC) is actually a pretty decent coin too - feels like a revamped version of the LTC community
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: June 11, 2018, 06:31:51 PM

The GP104 GPU is capable of providing a 1607MHz base clock. This base clock value closely matches the base clock value of a stock GTX 1080. However, the boost clock only goes up to 1683MHz on factory overclocking presets. But that doesn’t mean you cannot overclock it even further!

Generally speaking, the 10xx series overclocks to the 1620-1700 range, most of mine like to sit around 1630 but one commonly gets up around 1720 without issue (all at ~70% PL)

A few years back, when ASICMiner came onto the scene hardcore, I was chatting with someone of arguable importance, and he made the point "You know, if you believe in this Bitcoin stuff, you should really spend some of it to (blah blah blah turn the wheels of the economy)..."

Blew 300 Bitcorns on something that never materialized. Gone. Scammed.

With the benefit of hindsight, I really should have stuck to my guns, and my gut, that were telling me "But HODLing is a good strategy too, but this dude is smart, so... fuck..."

 KnowwhatImean ?

 Sheeit.

I feel you.
When btc was not even at 400$ I took some money to buy 5 of them even though I was just a student at that time so that was a big investment for me.
Few months after I had a similar "seemgoodopportunity" and saw 4 of those 5 btc leaving me without returning ever.
If I had the guts to keep them... So yeah knowwhatyoumean

Different paths had different results. I made a killing on antminer S1 hardware (huge btc/btc gains, but in terms of fiat/fiat during 2014 it was less impressive but still a solid profit) and some well-timed GPU/ASIC purchases while $0.12/kwh was considered *cheap*.

however, i also put several bitcoins towards a K16 avalon groupbuy and got burned on 100% of that investment. Same for investing in asicminer/friedcat (hindsight, right?)

Dear friends, from yesterday one of my rig report this error and don't start anymore.
Was overclocked from 8 months in the same way.
I've also try with no overclock (0 in Core and 0 in memory) but error is the same.
Any idea? anybody have experienced with this issue?
Thank you.

often thats a result of a bad riser or poor seating of the riser/usb
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Octominer B8PLUS 8 PCIe Slot Mining Board (Motherboard, integrated CPU) on: June 10, 2018, 12:12:38 PM

I also doubt that they will continue manufacturing these boards when GPU mining is almost about to exit. I feel for the company behind this and i can imagine that they've invested a lot of capital into developing these boards.

Hopefully they've been able to recoup at least their initial investment on these octominer boards. It is actually a good product.

let me guess, you gave up GPU mining back in 2013 when the first asics released....

whats the deal with this on my AMD rig? Claymore 11.8 (dcri 0, esm 3) shows 105MH in console for 4 rx4xx cards (good), but at nicehash the submitted hashrate jumps all over the place, and has averaged <50MH over 24hrs. console gives this:

On further review, it appears that the cards are constantly changing epochs (8, 191, and 198 seem common) which must be a fault of nicehash profitability switching gone crazy?

meanwhile, my equihash rig reports about 10% hashrate at pool. Ive disabled GPU1 as it seems to cause a lot of reboots, and by doing so (-dev 0,2,3,4,5) it seems to compulsively spit out data for GPU2 and GPU4 dozens of times before an entry for GPU0, GPU3, or GPU5 is included:

is there a method of profit switching - even if only based on the nicehash API profitability data?
73  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 04, 2018, 01:59:55 PM
I am astonished by the stubbornnes of Jihan Wu. Yesterday he and his sockpuppets pumped bcash 10% with the hope for better mining rewards. For several hours they got it, but after a small percentages of miners switched to bcash, the difficulty rose and again their reward is equal to that of mining Bitcoin. How many attempts he needs, to understand that if Bitcoin is not rising there is NO way bcash should be more profitable. In 1.5 days is the next Bitcoin mining adjustment. A new 12% increase in difficulty is expected (https://diff.cryptothis.com/), which means more than 0.6$ loss for an s9 (daily revenue dropping from 6.2 to 5.6$ at the current price). With that pace in 2-3 monts the revenue will drop to 2-3$, not to mention the expenses for electricity and rent, which vary from 1.7$ and 4$. I've been through this situation many times mining eth, zec, etc. Each period, when the mining profit drops to cents, is followed by a period of an extreme increase of the price. The explanation is clear - the miners enter a hibernation state of holding (i.e. not selling everything they mine with a currently small profit). If the rigs are on a loss, they just stop them untill the next increase. Conclusion: The so called 'bear' period is at its end. I expect 2x-4x increase of the price in the coming 6 months/1 year.

I think you underestimate him; in terms of both his contribution to bitcoin and his actual understanding of the consensus mechanisms/mining.

but cool you made a meme
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.6.1 (Linux / Windows) on: June 03, 2018, 01:46:00 PM
ive been trying to troubleshoot problemati gpu(s) in dstm 0.6.1 with SMOS, and it seems like 1 or 2 of my cards have issues so im using "--dev 0 1 2 4 5" to run all but one card at a time

however, its resulted in the console outputting only the stats of gpu#4 line after line. no stats are given for the other cards or overall hashrate

i should be getting 1600-2000sols if 5 cards are functional - and i do seem to get that poolside, but the lack of console output makes tuning tough

UPDATE: running either card 4 and/or card 5 alone reveals that both work terribly (either giving only stats for one gpu, or doing nothing at all except getting difficulty changes and rebooting.

i know the cards are problematic, but in windows they cooperated at aleast - i dont know what the issue is here (swapping risers is my next step)
75  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Gold plated Casascius Bearer Bar ZEROBTC - 0.00049934 BTC Funded. on: May 22, 2018, 07:33:07 PM
Thank to all for this offers ... I have in PM one offer for 0.60 btc
I have buyed this bar here last year in June 2017 and I have paid it near 1.58 btc   Roll Eyes

Just now I have received another offer in PM for 0.75 btc ... this is a beautiful cas bar ...  Cool

IMO you should be able to get ~1BTC give or take these days
76  Economy / Collectibles / Re: My loaded 100 BTC Casascius Bearer Bar on: May 11, 2018, 02:53:48 PM
If i had to assign a value, it would be 100BTC+100BCH+100BTG+100BTP+... = ~118 BTC

unpeeled 'storage' bars commonly go for about 1BTC, and i think peeled 100BTC bar would fetch a similar price.

so anything <119BTC is a pointless offer, and 125BTC seems like a fair asking price

Fork coins as of right now are worth ~22.41 BTC, if we ignore market depth. A bit higher than what you stated.

are they? I saw BCH as ~0.17/BTC (which is fairly high compared to a 30day average), and BTCP+BTG totalled about 0.01/BTC.  If im missing out on another 5% gains let me in on the secret

in fact, https://btcdiv.com/ seems to back this up - if you search a casascius coin (any year is pre-forks), the total is ~1.1766

78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: May 04, 2018, 04:05:24 AM
Antminer Z9 mini, hence the mini part. Will there be a full Z9 version?
As the power consumption is only 300W for the mini version. What if there is a full Z9 version?
Can Z9 mini uses other power supply as it only consume 300W.
1) maybe.
2) if theres a fullsize version, id expect it to be ~1300W like the other full-size bitmain miners
3) it needs a 300W 12V power supply. the 1600W psu they sell will work for 3-5 of these at a time
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: May 03, 2018, 11:12:35 PM
Guys, don't forget that you are all responsibles to make Bitmain more and more powerful

They will building a HUGE farm on US, and you and all miners are screwed, because they will make better and better Asics than ones they selling to trolls, and they will not sell, only whem became obsolete to then

Thanks guys to ruined cryptos

^found the guy who complained cars will put horse farmers out of business
80  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Casascius 2012 Brass 1 BTC (loaded) on: February 08, 2018, 07:45:53 PM
Hi all,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Based on the PM's I've received, clearly there is some interest! A few questions:

  • Anyone near Portland, Oregon (USA) and interested in an in-person transaction? (if so, PM me a realistic offer that makes me go "wow" and I'll meet with you tomorrow ... or even tonight)
  • Does anyone know what similar coins have sold for recently? I consider these to be in very good condition, so I had always assumed these would go for at least 1.5x peel value.
  • What is the general auction format for something like this? How long is the typical auction?

And a few points of clarification:
  • I will not be auctioning these off all at the same time. If at all, they will be auctioned one at a time.
  • The picture is just a sampling of my inventory - sorry if I implied that was total inventory and/or that they were all up for immediate sale. Post was intended to gauge interest and show general quality of my supply.

sadly, the casascius market is in a bit of a slump lately,  espescially with the massive USD premiums they gained. Now, theres auctions often finishing around 1.2btc for a brass coin (which is barely above bch+btc+btg value)
