Changes on Bitfinex

Huh??
new add fee=??? --> is it a fee for placing a limit order? is it applied to market orders too? or is it a fee for a buy beeing executed?
new remove fee=??? --> is it a fee for canceling a limit order?  or is it a fee for a sell beeing executed?

is the current fee removed alltogether? so that the new fee for the lowest volume traders per "pair" (as you call it) would be 0.3%??
if it is 0,3% wouldnt it be logical to re-enable the "route to bitstamp" feature? cause that way it means: no routing, but the higher fee that used to be applied for routed orders?

if above=yes:
doesnt this fee structure lead to high volume traders beeing able to trade smaller spreads than lower liquidity traders, though making it possible for whales to leech on
smaller fish?

you really DOUBLE your fees Huh?? do we see 1:8 leverage  too Huh?

I am in very good health.  And I am not Dorian Nakamoto.

Aminorex is not Dorian Nakamoto.

That can only he mean he's Satoshi Nakamoto.  Now I just need to fit the lines to the data and draw a dinosaur, and I'll have definitive proof.

Ask him to confirm that he's not involved in Bitcoin. If he can't, that's proof positive.

i couldnt find my transactions in btc-transfer-report, found my id in mtgox_balances

MtGox Database is leaked - using MagicalTux's own hacked blog and reddit account.  Smiley

Wow, some REAL DATA at least! Even if it is for a dead exchange...

When was that snapshot taken?

What are the total balances in BTC, US, JPY, etc?

Data reveals:
Largest  balance is 44K BTC which has not been accessed since 13/7/12
Next largest is 43K BTC last accessed on 25/2/14
It continues with 10 more  5000+ BTC balances where the accounts have not been accessed 2012.

That is quite interesting, so there were people who had huge amounts of BTC in an exchange and did not use them for years.

Could that be true for other exchanges, now (after the demise of MtGOX)?

or its accounts where all the .000000000x round-errors and other specialities went to..

71  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The "found" MtGox Bitcoin wallets all on the move right now??? on: March 07, 2014, 08:34:41 PM
That money may be being used in the bankruptcy/reorganization process that Mt Gox is undergoing presently.

Too bad LEO and lawyers are running it and hate the public.

Oh wait, if the public knows then "Justice may not be served" haha, isn't that what lawyers and police always say?  We can't tell you what's up because, justice.

there is no way that a legal procedure as the bankruptcy of mt.gox involves moving coins around. at least not now already.

first the procedure needs to run as long as it needs for the judge to understand how bitcoin works... what will be when every kid on earth already uses some completely different cryptocurrency and bitcoin is only living on in japanese manga tales.

if the legal procedure requires that the coins are distributed, the judge would first appoint some science-wizard from university (or tepco....) who first would study the beast for 2 years, then he would propose how its done, decision making then would take another 2 years and then a public announcement would be made on some shitty-japanese-government website using some japanese slang from some mountain village, calling all victims to make claims until the third day after the second japanese christmas and than they would check if the claims are legit, which would require for every claimant to come to japan and make some sworn statement and then it would take another five years to make a payout plan and then..maybe.. they would transfer some coins..

As I am mainly operating as a liquidity provider on your platform I have noticed that a third column was added to the "offer swap" tab with the description of "Nb of swap contracts (of 1 $ each)".

It's just a ridiculous way of saying "Amount". You want to lend out $1000 you type 1000 in that field "and offer 1000 swap contracts of $1 each". I am guessing there could be legal reasons for putting it like that? Regardless, just read "Nb of swap contracts" as "Amount" and put an amount of USD there.

only thing i can imagine why they renamed it is that they wanna be sure everyone realizes that the lending can lead to multiple borrowers so that they get multiple fees but the lender gets the same intereset disregarding the number of borrowers

I have told about the needed features countless times already, but I'll repeat myself again, what I see that needs fixing but isn't adressed with bitcoin: a) Speed of increasing wealth concentration b) Deflationary system that prohibits price stability c) Inefficiency of mining where new resources are spent while the network doesn't gain in speed or security.

I recommend many of the Alt coins that address your concerns specifically, if they truly are better, you'll make a killing.

which altcoin isnt scrypt?

See post above:

i dont understand your posts. my point is, that we are trading in the dark. why did they remove "no liquidity on stamp" in the orderbook?

this morning bitstamp trades didnt go through; no info on bitfinex order book about that - the spread was huge. at around 11 bistamp was going through again.

now spread is around 6 USD, orders not executed @ bitstamp. no info on the orderbook about that.

is this intended, that bitstamp price cant be taken if bitfinex price is higher/lower?
and the way its achieved is to only make market orders route to bitstamp? that would be less than funny..

edit 22:50: seems that bitstamp was reconnected: huge sells @ bitfinex, no one on stamp, price is in sync again
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 24, 2014, 12:28:55 PM
Hey! What's going on with Bitcoinbuilder? Last price 0.22 with gox/stamp 0.29. Wtf?

An American woke up early to check on how things are and freaked out

That or we're screwed. I'm sending more BTC to builder now anyway, double or nothing. Hurry up Stamp "waiting to be processed"

do i understand that right?:

you speculate on that btc-builder will exist longer than your gox speculation will run, so that you can get your btc out again and not be trapped in gox?

hy!
it would be nice to have more than one api key as parallel use of one api key gives nonce error.
thx

strange margin order deletion again:

position -10 btc
buy limit order +20 btc

partial execution with 3 btc - order removed
??
edit:
my limit orders are treaded like fill or kill

Strange ...
Are your fees settled in USD or BTC?
Please go to the account setting section and set it in USD ( in case they are not ).

Thank you and have a good day

Giancarlo
Bitfinex Team

i think i found out, the system allows to put an order for which the margin is sufficient only after the active position is closed, but upon settlement it considers the margin not to be enough and cancels the order.
