61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stay safe on: September 11, 2018, 12:36:20 AM
At times, it is those basic sense of security that fails us. There's a common notion that the more advanced tools you use, such as a hardware wallet, equates to more invulnerability (which makes sense too). But forgetting the basics such as protecting our crypto asset related email address or being phished by a malicious website can actually wreck havoc in many ways.

Being reminded of the basic security steps is really what we need at times. Thanks.

There are times when we forget the most basic of all securities that's why there is a tendency of getting hacked. Even just a simple e-mail and password that has been use in several sites can wreck havoc because people are just lazy to change anything that's why they always use the same one which makes them more vulnerable to hackers. An article like this is a good reminder especially to us who are making our transactions online.

Thanks for the message, the article from the link provided was really beneficial, the world of crypto has experienced a lot  of bad vibes due to such dishonest activities of people hacking either exchanges or  individual  accounts. It is our responsibility to keep our accounts or wallets safe from attacks of hackers.

We should always take caution when doing the transactions because we don't know personally who is on the other end of the line that's why even if we are transacting with the same person for a while, we should always be cautious if he acts in any way not with the norms because he may not be the one at the other end and only a hacker.
62  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you share your trading experiences? on: September 10, 2018, 01:03:31 AM
Recently, I tried to buy LYL coins at cryptopia. This is the first time I bought a coin on exchange and I don't know if I will lose or not. Though, I have read and watched some videos about trading, I am worried that I will loss my capital specially that this is the first I tried trading. However, even I lose today, I won't make it as my weakness rather I will learn from my failure. I bought at 45 Sats and as of now, it goes 40 sats. I assume that there is a downtrend and I think my decision was wrong.

That's just normal to be worried about your trades because it is your first time so you will experience all the emotions and it would be better then if you will learn from your trades and think why you lose. You may have watch a ton of videos but doing it yourself is a whole lot different because the emotions are already there and it is the one that will be the key if you will be successful or nor since majority of trading is about psychology whether you will be able to control your emotion or not.

Yes I know they have risk, but if you a true trader you can know everything have risk. I think this time is better compared last yeat because the bitcoin and the altcoins become more cheaper and you can have a lot of pieces of altcoins and you can gain more money on that. Im not scared even the market is down now all you need is to trust crypto.

All you need is to have a clear plan as to when you should buy or sell your coins because this has been the mistake of most traders especially those who are just starting because they are easily swayed by the news and would easily buy or sell without a plan of when they would buy or sell it so in effect, there are more losses than profits.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Exchange market data manipulation bringing the whole crypto market down? on: September 10, 2018, 12:39:19 AM
Of course, all sorts of price manipulations are heavily influencing the crypto market. Unlike manipulations this year, I think the changing economic conditions in the world are also having a negative effect on the crypto market.

In our country alone, people are having problems how to budget their salaries because of the continuous increase of the basic necessities due to inflation that's why the investment vehicles are down not only in cryptocurrency market but including the stock market and exchange rates are going down as well. We are currently in a financial crisis that's why the market is down and you add to it the bad news about every thing related to bitcoin and it would cause people to panic sell.

The market may continue until people finally understand how it is played and will be less inclined to sell off their bitcoins in a panic or dump in price, it will gradually become less severe as everyone will learn to ignore it.And the market will just grow naturally

Every time the market goes down, it's not only the newbies who panic sell that are doing it but those who are professional traders are selling as well because they know how to short the market and if you have observed in the past, it is more profitable to short it because it's going down too fast compared to going up that's why they are at an advantage when it comes to shorting and when it drops, it drops hard.
64  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why after all this time is 'crypto journalism' so shit? on: September 06, 2018, 02:03:50 AM
Its about selling news and it has come to the stage where good journalism
is very much watered down by terrible reporting.

There are far more people who either done know a lot or love to hate bitcoin
so any sort of news real of false will sell.

Yes, they just want a click bait so that they can earn more so even though a news is fake, they would even sensationalize it so that it would be more talk about and more people would visit their site. This is the reason why I don't easily believe the news anymore because there are times when they would omit certain facts about the case so that people would misunderstood it and in turn react negatively. Besides that, many people would likely check a negative news than a good one because they would be more concerned with their investments.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Need for advice and YOUR feedback About ICO ranking website on: September 06, 2018, 01:45:41 AM
Hey, guys,
you know how ICO rating sites work (ICOHolder, ICO Ranking, etc...)
I'd need your opinion on these sites. Do you use them?
Are they important in your investment decisions?
Do you find their operation effective? Do you trust them?

I check them from time to time to know what are the ICOs that are currently trending because when they are listed in those sotes then that would mean they paid for that review and they have funds to do so. They are putting their best foot forward by letting those ICO review sites promote them and attract more investors. The higher the rating, the more attractive for investors and I think some of them have really honest reviews and not just saying it for the sake of getting paid.

There is currently a debate about whether ICO actually buy good ratings. What do you think of that?

If you work for these sites, I'm interested too! Don't hesitate to come and present your point of view

Maybe they are buying, maybe not. It's up to you as well to judge if what the review saying is true by doing due diligence. Nevertheless, we should always be careful in investing because it's our money that will be lost when the time comes and the ICO turns out to be scam. Those famous review sites may also want to protect their reputation so I think they are checking the projects carefully if it is legit or not.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin hits $24000 in Iran on: September 06, 2018, 01:21:00 AM
Yes, I saw it. Hope one day we see the same on Global market. That's insane indeed, 24K $ in one day. I wish I there when it happend. Would have been a millionair. Hope other country follows the same.

It was because of the value of fiat money declining that's why people want to secure their assets and run to cryptocurrency instead. There is a global financial crisis now and as what we have seen in Venezuela, it seems that other countries are having a hard time as well dealing with their fiat currencies so for now, they can see bitcoin as a safe haven for their assets which is good for the crypto economy but then many people will still suffer from it due to inflation.

If the truth is true, then the possibility of coming to BTC will recover and increase strongly in the exchange rate. The rise to $ 24,000 in the Iranian market is seen by the government as an industry. And hopefully in the future cryptocurrency will be accepted as currency in all countries.

As what the news stated, it has been rising for the last three weeks so it is not just a sudden pump in price but we have yet to see then if they would be able to sustain that price and I hope that the global average would follow suit. Currently, bitcoin price crash and as of this writing it is worth around $6,500 so the price in Iran is around 300% so others who are interested in arbitrage may take this opportunity.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What attracts you to a good crypto exchange? on: September 06, 2018, 12:45:26 AM
I select exchange based on the rank of it volume and activities, also on the kind of token trading there if is mostly the token I have interest in and and see a better chance of the exchange not a scam exchange that doesn't have a good team or reveal it team and owner , which can be the most considerable aspect ,aslo the safety of the funds put in their care , though any thing can happen but with the team you can still be some percent sure how save you are if you don't compromise your details ,

When thinking of a good exchange, all I can think of currently is binance because their CEO is known, they have lesser trading fees which would make the traders save a good amount of coins since it is reduce and its coin itself is rising in demand because more people are using and buying it. When they have issues, they will address the issue immediately and not kept the users in the dark which would make them more trusted exchange.

Support team is also another thing use need to look at , on how proactive they are to respond to issue and the way and manner it's been addressed is very key .

Binance is also responsive when it comes to complaints which makes them a good exchange. People will feel secure knowing that when there are issues, they can just go to support so that it can be addressed as soon as possible. Many other exchanges lack this one because some of them do not answer for months.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is near to end on: September 05, 2018, 02:22:15 PM
Bitcoin is currently the leading penny in the market. Although the price is low it still stands at the top of the money, I never thought the bitcoin would end. Bitcoin prices will rise again in the near future, I am sure so. Now I just keep waiting for bitcoin to recover in the market. I have faith in bitcoin.

If ever bitcoin would end then there are still so many cryptocurrencies out there that can be an alternative to it so for now, we should take this opportunity from it since bitcoin is still the most in demand cryptocurrency out there. If ever its light will not shine anymore then we should then accumulate the coin that would replace bitcoin then. There are so many options but for now, let's accumulate bitcoin because it is the king of crypto currently.

FUD.
Remember that the whole concept of bitcoin is not yet fully comprehended. To conclude that it will die is not out of place, but it is a personal opinion I guess. As the days go bye, more and more research is being carried out on bitcoin. Soon I believe, a solution will be found to the reasons for such fears.

Every time there is bad news, we should read it carefully because there are times when they would just omit some information for the news to become even though it is suppose to be a good news that's why we should do our due diligence.
69  Economy / Economics / Re: [Discussion] Why Cryptocurrencies and blockchain needs to go mainstream ASAP on: September 05, 2018, 11:14:08 AM
We already know a bunch of reasons why bitcoin is extremely beneficial to people who choose to use it, much more so compared to the traditional fiat banking system and the services that come with it, like Paypal.

Just like you mentioned, stolen credit cards in transactions as well as chargebacks all pose a significant risk to the seller, because of the irreversibility of the transactions in those cases when dealing with fiat banking institutions. With bitcoin, there is no such risk as everything is irreversible.

The reason cryptocurrency is better than paypal is because of the trustless system wherein there is no need for someone to be nervous of the transactions since once its in the blockchain then no one can change it unlike in centralized systems wherein someone can access those transactions and then change something freely.

Even though we know these advantages, we can't just push adoption overnight. It's a process that takes time, and there is really nothing we can do now to speed it up. You could definitely promote the use of bitcoin on your own business at the checkout, though.

It's a step by step process because people cannot just easily accept it especially it is unregulated in majority of the countries and some even ban it so it is hard to promote to people when there are so many hindrances in the way. We just have to make use of our resources and introduce to people who will welcome us.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs should only create Tokens with Working Product(s) on: September 05, 2018, 12:59:44 AM
That's just the simple truth, most people don't really care about the product, they don't care if they have working product or not, they most care is the price, and i think the moment people starts to care about the working product, the better for cryptos, the better some of fake coins will go away and real coins will stay.

Nowadays, people are more concern about the profit they would be making than the use case of the project which would be what we should focus on. What most ICOs doing is the opposite of those who are going to be listed in the stock market because the company has to prove itself first that they should be worthy to be listed and has a capital requirement and they already have a proven track record which would make the people buy the stocks while in ICOs, they collect the money first before doing anything that's why many are being scammed.

Well it's a pity that many people in the crypto space are only there for the money they can make from the space, most people don't really care about the tech, whether it has a working product or not. they are in for the money and not the tech.

It's a given that it would be very risky because anything can happen which would make the team backed out leaving the investors in vain that's why a working product should be introduce first before having an ICO so that people can assess whether it would be worth investing in. I think this should be one of the qualifications but then the problem is that there are no authorities who will assess the approval of those ICOs.
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Impact of the pending ETF in September? on: September 05, 2018, 12:37:20 AM
Yes I don't think we need ETF, Bitcoin will work great without the etf, the etf could make the price go high, but we don't know what other impact is going to happen, but some people trade based on this news, it has happened few times that when etf being rejected the price will fall down, so the etf denial will have impact on the price

If you are trading base on news then the approval or rejection of the ETF would have a big impact in the price and more likely you will be able to predict where the price might go after hearing it. Since there is a high possibility of being rejected due to what happen with the previous applications, this would be more advantageous to those who know how to short it and they can multiply their capital in a short amount of time;however, the opposite is also possible when the price moves not in their favor wherein it can wipe out their account in a short while as well.

Do we really need ETF or this is just a speculation in this market? Well, IMO even if the SEC disapproved this again, the market will just move normally just like what happened before where SEC already denied some of the ETF. Bitcoin is great and even without ETF it can still soar higher.

I don't think we really need an ETF because once there would be more people joining the bandwagon then price would naturally go up as the demand increases and I think this would be better than having an ETF that may temporarily pump the price but then there would be a dump happening as well that would make people lose their investment.
72  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the reason for Bitcoin's price increase in the end of the year? on: September 04, 2018, 11:15:51 AM
Bitcoin is the most popular precious currency in the online exchange market. If you look at the statistics of the past year, end of the year it is seen that almost every year the price of Bitcoin increases and the market volume is also very high.

But it is not seen in the middle of the year. But why does this happen, have any reason?
Will the same statistics be seen in the end of 2018?

People has many at the end of the year because of christmas bonuses or any other bonuses or incentives that they would be receiving at the end of the year and many of them would consider putting it into something that they can benefit for a long time and cryptocurrencies would be one of the options that's why there is a tendency that price would increase at the end of the year.

Maybe because at the end of the year people finished most of their expenses and have some spare money to invest and they choose cryptocurrencies. Last year it was too overhyped.

Yes, it was hype and maybe it would hype this year too as we don't know for sure what will happen at the end of the year. Given that we are waiting for good news like ETF which has a possibility of pumping the price then maybe price would rise sooner than expected.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: Friends reactions to crypto currencies? on: September 04, 2018, 10:50:07 AM
I was questioned on crypto currencies legalization. I explained the facts happening around. Few received it with convincing reactions and few just ignored it. I really felt bad for the guys who did not care about crypto currencies as I really know the fruitfulness? I happily taught few others about crypto currencies. What was your friends expression when you introduced bitcoin to them?

The first one they would ask is if it is scam or not or have I been paid or not because it would be a proof then if I were able to join an investment scheme or not. I have explained to them the basics of it since I can't relate when it comes to its technicalities and some of the are considering on investing on it while others would just ignore ot and move on because they just cannot accept it unless it would be regulated then which would prove its legitimacy.

At first they ignored me and asking many questions, they doubt to join, they think that is no future in cryptocurrency, I can't blame them, but now they want to join because they see and they heard about crypto.

Well, maybe some of them may consider joining in then when they see the proofs of my labor later on. For now, I would strive hard to earn as much as I can because I don't want to disappoint myself and I know that I am not wasting my time in it just like what my other friends would say to me.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a good idea to sell tokens after listing on exchange? on: September 04, 2018, 01:55:44 AM
Well it's up to you if you need money, just sell your tokens if you need it, but if not maybe you should hold. When the price falls of course they will purchase it they know that they will earn profit soon.

It's not a bad idea to sell your tokens upon listing in exchanges because some are using this strategy to buy more coins because if they sell at a higher price, there is a possibility that the price would go lower and if they can see that there is already a support then they can buy the coins slowly then. Even if the project is legit and has a possibility of bright future, it has still a possibility of getting dump which is a good opportunity for buyers. Some would just sell their tokens immediately though because of various reasons.

We can never know if the price of a token will rise or fall, so I always sell half of the tokens and leave the rest for the long term.

This is my strategy before but then when the bear market comes, I regret it because if I have sold it then, I would have a larger amount to trade with so now, I change my strategy and would just go for selling all of it and then look for another coin that is ripe for me to go up. It seems more effective strategy for me than the previous one.
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price after another ETF rejection by US SEC on: September 03, 2018, 11:19:03 AM
We need to move forward without any ETF which in fact not going to ever approve. I hope that bitcoin has a very good and bright future, people need to get their confident back and put their money in bitcoin which can in fact give a real support to bitcoin.

Yeah, for now we should not expect too high with the approval of ETF because it maybe their tactic to control the price or accumulate more coins so that in due time when they release the ggood news, they would be profitable since they have accumulated enough of it. We should just take advantage of movement of bitcoin as it is now because even if there are small fluctuations, we can still see an opportunity from it and if there is a chance, we should take profit because it price movements are unpredictable at time so if we are not always ready then we will have a tendency to lose and all the profit we have accumulated so far will be lost.
76  Economy / Economics / Re: popularity of bitcoin dictates demand, means more profit on: September 03, 2018, 10:35:21 AM
I think now is the right time to buy back where now the bitcoin price movement has revealed the turning point of the price which has so far fallen and is very significant, this could be the beginning of bitcoin skyrocketing as late as last year

This could be a turning point for bitcoin to rise more or to turn around again as the shorts are slowly rising. We should always take into account the number of longs and shorts because it will give as an idea of what might happen to the price sooner and we can be ready for whatever it is and position our portfolio. When there is demand to bitcoin, price would increase but then there are others who would take the opportunity to sell their stash because of various reasons so we should always be ready for it.

That is true about bitcoin popularity ,so it is so demand in the market, so there are many trades that will be done or happennig because of the demand for it is very popular coin, so with this then it will gain more profits.

The higher the price, there is a possibility that more investors would be entice to invest on it because of the possibility of higher profit in the future. If you have more funds then maybe it is a good opportunity to load up more of it but do not go all in as of yet because anything can happen and you may be able to buy it again for a cheaper price.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trading tools for alts on: September 03, 2018, 03:15:58 AM
It is always a good thing to understand the space you want to be delving into and some of the coins that can be traded and why you would want to be trading them which is why I believe that coinmarketcap is a very useful tool where one can find all these information and concentrate more even on the top 100 and one that would be good enough to trade based on one's style and strategy.

Coinmarketcap.com is a good tool to know the standing of the coins in the cryptocurrency market as well as its volume and its average price. Another site that is the same as coinmarketcap is https://coincheckup.com/. They have the same features but the latter one is I think better because it has additional information when it comes to ICOs and has three different kind of analysis like fundamental analysis, investment analysis and github analysis.

There are other tools that would be reliable but nothing is more reliable than one's knowledge about trading and the market as a whole which is the basic tool needed to do things right. There are no specialized tools needed for alt trading as it has no differences from forex trading or from BTC/USD trading.

As for the charting, trading view is a good site because aside from doing your charting for free, you can follow others who are showing their analysis to the public so you have reference to the coins that are worth looking at and then you can learn from them as well. You can follow some telegram groups as well that give insights to how well the market is doing. Do not join pump and dump groups though.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto will be mainstream in a few years on: September 03, 2018, 02:23:56 AM
I'd better say that crypto is already a mainstream thing and all happenings with the market during the last year really prove that fact, aren't they? However its popularity surely will grow further.

I can only say that cryptocurrency is already mainstream when I see the people around me using it. For now, I don't even have a family member who is using it and only a few of my friends are aware of it so it is not yet mainstream. It can only happen when the government of the said country will accept it and then regulate it. This would make the people trust cryptocurrency because many are skeptic about it when they heard about it being unregulated.

I believe in the statement on this thread!  Everybody now are singing about blockchain technology and I would they talk about blockchain without mentioning Cryptocurrency that has been using blockchain for up to nine years and above!

Yes, many are considering using blockchain technology nowadays especially those big companies because they can see the benefits of it and they can reduce the cost as well as save time in their transactions which is needed in our fast paced environment nowadays. After all, blockchain technology can exist without cryptocurrency while the opposite cannot.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the safest and most reliable altcoin? on: September 02, 2018, 11:55:49 AM
What for you is the safest and most reliable altcoin that any beginners of cryptocurrency can buy and invest in to? Because bitcoin is unpredictable I wonder if I can start buying altcoins instead, however, I do not want to buy an altcoin that will just be a waste of money. Any ideas?

I cannot say that it is the safest altcoin out there because all of them are still fluctuating in value just the same as bitcoin and you can even say that investing in bitcoin is already safe. Well, I would consider ethereum or binance as safe coins because they are use for their use cases in which ethereum is use for smart contracts so as long as there are ICOs, ethereum would be use even if there are already other alternative blockchain but ethereum is still the one use by majority.

The second one is binance coin or BNB. Since Binance is already a high volume exchange, many people choose to trade there because of liquidity and we know that when a coin is listed in binance, it is pumped that's why it is an in demand exchange along with its coin because if you use it for trading then you will have a discount so many people would buy the coin to lessen their cost of trading. As the demand of the coin increase, its price would increase too.
80  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will become of Bitcoin if the price keeps falling? on: September 02, 2018, 02:08:58 AM
The price of bitcoins can rise or fall and if it keeps falling the only effect is the loss of confidence in holding bitcoins hence many traders will be forced to sell at a lower price than bought for and hence keep the price falling further.

As what you said, people would lose confidence and many would let go of their coins and sell it even though they lost more than half of the value of it. As for others who believes that the coins should have more value then it would be an opportunity for them to buy more at a cheaper price so that when the market turn around, it would be more profitable but then there is a risk that it would not go back up so theis investment would just be losing. Given the situation nowadays, I think it is just a temporary downfall because there are still many people who believes that it is more valuable.

If the bitcoin price keeps falling means people who knows well about crypto market would surely use this chance to buy more bitcoin for future. But doesn't know about crypto market get panic about the price keeps falling and ready to sell their bitcoin. But this is not good only long time holding will give more profits than short time. So just keep your bitcoin and wait for some time with patience surely yhe market will recover.

Panic selling would happen but at some point, sellers would be exhausted so the price would eventually have a support and then it would be time for the buyers to appear. Instead of just waiting for the price to go back up, I think it is a good opportunity to take advantage of the fluctuations wherein we should trade so that wherever the price would go, we can still profit from it.
