141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can crytocurrency reduce Global Poverty ? on: August 09, 2018, 10:17:00 AM
I think that cryptocurrencies can help more underdeveloped countries and bring hope to people in poor areas. Get some compensation by mining bitcoin or publicity. Its technology can be applied to all aspects in the future.

Cryptocurrency is a great help for people who wanted to earn more income. In developing countries wherein the salary is not that attractive, many of them are considering working overseas in developed countries wherein the salary is higher so they are sacrificing their time with their family to have higher source of income and some people see cryptocurrency as a way to get higher income so they don't leave their family anymore.

As for reducing poverty, the root cause of poverty is not just a simple lack of income but there is a macro cause like economic uncertainties and graft and corruption. It is the greediness of people who are in power that the rich are getting richer and poor are getting poorer. Cryptocurrency can at least help those people who are struggling financially to augment their income and maybe go above poverty line.
142  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency or Stock Market? on: August 09, 2018, 10:03:41 AM
A couple of weeks ago my bank offered me to invest in their stocks. It was also around the same time I started getting into bitcoins. I thought about this through and decided to just stick with cryptocurrency. Although their offer is tempting, I find that the returns with bitcoin is higher than stocks despite it being unpredictable and risky.

But I would advise to take a look at the stock market as well because sticking in one investment vehicle is risky. It would be good then if you can invest in cryptocurrency and stock market so you can have different options in your investment and trading as well. If you can see now, the cryptocurrency market is not doing good because of bitcoin price going down so you can choose to take a look at the stock market because maybe the stocks are doing good. You can even choose maybe some penny stocks because these are the stocks that are fast moving but has higher risk as well.
143  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bitcoin is pretty easy on: August 09, 2018, 01:13:28 AM
Easier said than done. It takes more than chosing a coin or token to put your money and wait for it to grow. Its noy like that. You need to check price history and development. Check also the people behind the project if there are really a group of people behind it. Next is if the project is really feasible or if its a good project.

Definitely agree with easier than done. If you are already there trading and then you are watching the price move up or down, your emotions will be in play and if you are a newbie in trading and you don't have a trading plan then you will just be rekt then. You need experience to trade with confidence and you can only do it if you know when you should buy or sell or in short, has a trading plan.

Pretty easy yet more harmful to the newbie specially those who are ignorant from the volatility of bitcoin. Trading is more profitable and easy if you have knowledge about it plus you have enough capital to sustain your investment. I like investing in bitcoin but I want to do it when bull run will start. Buy in bear season and buy lambo in bull run.

Knowledge is the key to be profitable along with the control of emotions. Maybe you can average down as well so that you can protect yourself from getting massive loss when the price doesn't go your way. Some would say that it's already the start of a bull run and you would be investing and I heard it a few days ago but now, people are frustrated again seeing the price.

144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which one do you choose? on: August 09, 2018, 12:40:53 AM
If am to chose I would prefer to take both  though not everyone accept bitcoin as means of payment but I think if it is allowed it would be a great advantage too. Bitcoin can also be used not only in exchange site but also in market place.

The founder, Satoshi Nakamoto, envision bitcoin to be use as a means of payment and not just a coin existing in the exchange. It would eventually become useless if it is just being traded because there is no organic demand to it; whereas, when you use it to buy things then you can say that it has a use so people would want it. I would choose bitcoin then to be use in the marketplace because it would mean that merchants are adopting it and the demand is there.

There would be no difference for it to other coins-almost all of them I must say-that has been existing in the exchange and not being use for other purpose. Of course those coins might have some whitepaper but the project may be still develop and worse if it is already abandoned so it would become just a pump and dump coin.
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: which exchange you usually trade ? on: August 08, 2018, 12:40:20 PM
I often trade in Etherdelta because it is my first exchange and etherdelta is friendly user their interface was great and clear.

I don't think that etherdelta is newbie firendly though because once you made a mistake like in inputting prices and you lack one, you will end up buying usually 10x more than the price and you just lose it. Once you click a button, there is no warning what you will be transacting and no cancel to it so if you made a mistake then you cannot cancel it. I like IDEX more because they have this feature wherein I can still cancel the transaction but there is a limit though to the minimum transaction in IDEX.

For trading in btc,ETH etc I go for binance and bittrex as this are good exchange With high volume so my trade get soon I don't have to wait for long apart from this I bet in other exchange also according to the coin I am holding

I am trading in binance and bittrex too. Others have problems with Bittrex though because they now require KYC so that you can trade there. As far as I know, there are some who weren't able to claim their coins because they failed in KYC. Binance is the most in demand exchange nowadays and coins getting listed there are pumped.
146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do bounty hunters become ICO investors? on: August 08, 2018, 12:22:33 PM
Personally I think no, because most bounty hunters just complete the social task for tokens, they only share, no matter the project information they are promoting.

Some become investors because as the project unfolds while they are promoting the project, they can see the potential of it. They can see that the team is working hard to do what they can to follow the roadmap and sometimes when the team is active and knowledgeable when you ask them, you will be encourage to invest on it because you know that the team have plans and it has great potential. The more you converse with the team, the more you know their capabilities.

I am a bounty hunter. At the same time, I also play the role of a trader, and I am very happy to do these jobs because I think this is the way I expand my income!

Personally, I am buying more of the coin when I am participating in a campaign but I don't buy it during ICO. I buy it when it is listed in the exchange because of the chance that it might go below ICO price so I just wait for it then and I would trade it and then buy more if I have profits.
147  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [06-08-2018] Crypto or No Relationship? New Survey Reveals 75% of Millennials.. on: August 08, 2018, 01:21:50 AM
Alternatively you can just introduce your new partner to cryptocurrency instead of dismissing the potential because they don't know about it (just a thought)

I agree with this. Why not just introduce your partner to cryptocurrency so that you will understand each other. You may be able to find a partner that would be interested in cryptocurrency and you agree with it but in other things you will always have misunderstandings so it is not good at all. Better find someone you agree with and then if that person do not know about cryptocurrency then introduce it to him/her and who knows he/she will end up liking it and may become better than you eventually.
148  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does positive news have any impact in bitcoin price on: August 07, 2018, 12:24:15 PM
I have been observing a trend from last year bitcoin price movements to this year movement.
I have observed how we're getting so much positive news and adoption about bitcoin this year, but still the prices refuse to go up. If this was last year a single positive news will have pumps the prices by at least 10% or more.
Its that positive news don't longer have any effect on the price movement or is their any manipulation going on.

News has still an effect to the price of bitcoin but I think the traders or investors are now mature enough to not be that affected because there are so many news going around that people do not know or unsure of it would have a positive or negative effect to the price. If you also compare the number of people during this time last year, there may be fewer since bitcoin has attracted only that much attention when it made its run last December.

Its that positive news don't longer have any effect on the price movement or is their any manipulation going on.

Only the bigger news has an effect though like the news about ETF. I believe that it is one of the things that trigger the upward movement weeks ago because people are positive that during this time, ETF would be approved and new money will come in the market that would cause an upward movement.

149  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one do you prefer?Increase your Bitcoin or ِDollar? on: August 07, 2018, 11:19:58 AM
In Trading, there are two categories of people, those who want to increase their bitcoin volume, and those who want to increase their dollar volume. Which one do you prefer? Why?

I want to increase my bitcoin earnings but at the same time, I am taking profit as well in dollars so that I can still benefit from my profits and spend it in fiat. Let's just face it. There are things that bitcoin cannot buy yet that's why we need to convert it to fiat so that we can still use it and pay or buy what we wanted.

If I wanted to increase my bitcoin earnings though, I would just withdraw just a little amount of profit and store the remaining coins so that my coins are increasing as well and not stagnant. I am storing other coins as well but these are coins that are existing for a long time and not new coins since we have yet to see what new coins will be able to hold its position.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do Airdrops attract investors? on: August 07, 2018, 01:03:52 AM
Have you ever gone to a supermarket where there's a hotdog stall that offers free taste. That's also the same with these airdrops, they are attracting people all in all by giving such tokens for free.
That makes these airdrop people announce and tell others that they've found a good token which results them to advertise that project.

Pretty much this explains the purpose of airdrops. Usually, I can see many coins giving just 10 or 20 coins that may be not worth that much but many are participating in it because it is free. You just have to join telegram community, like their page and follow it as well with sharing to others about the airdrop. When they airdrop to 10,000 people and share it let's say, 1,000 friends or followers per person then 10 million people would be reach because of that airdrop and a possibility of catching an investors eye.

Of course bounties are still better because there is constant sharing of information and being active in community as well but airdrops are still an effective tool for me as well to get exposure and get people to share about ICO if they don't want to participate in bounties since airdrops are just usually one time tasks.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin prices dropped causing new coins not to be listed in the market on: August 07, 2018, 12:41:48 AM
Too much ICO will also cause a bad effect to Bitcoin price, which also will cause to alts and that ICO itself, and coupled with outside influences such as bad news from the people who hates crypto so much. if this continues, the price of bitcoin will be difficult to reach the ATH point like last year

I don't think it is because of too much ICO that bitcoin price drops. It is just normal for the bitcoin price to go down because there are traders who and buy and sell the coins. They saw a formation of head and shoulder days ago that's why the price went down. Traders speculated the price to go down because of that formation and then others who are waiting for the price to go up are furious because it went down again. If you wanted to take advantage of the opportunity of swinging prices then better learn trading.

As for other coins being not listed, there are different ways of being listed whether it is by payment or by community votes so if the team behind the coin would spend an effort in getting listed then they can do it. They may be just busy developing the project for now and just focus on it so that when their workload is getting lesser, they would have time negotiating in exchanges.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: is bountyhive safe for doing bounties ? on: August 06, 2018, 09:35:10 AM
Bountyhive are really legit 100% and their team members are really professional , I've earn some cool cash from their platforms and can recommend it to anyone because they are not scam bounty hunting platform

So far, I have good experience with bountyhive as well. All the campaigns that I have participated, I was paid in all of them. Although, some of those projects didn't materialize because the developers are not answering the queries anymore, they are paying the tokens because as far as I know, they are already holding the tokens beforehand so you are guaranteed to be paid. There are times though when others would complain because they are rewarding small amount compared to campaigns here in the forum.

Bountyhive is very good as their admins are very professional and every thing is automated there and you get your coins with in a short span of time after closure of any bounty and a well managed system is adopted by them. You can use their platform for doing bounties as they are fully safe.

Yes, their platform is safe and just make sure to follow the instructions because it is automated. What I like is that I don't have to submit reports for my tasks. Make sure to be updated in your twitter audit as well because they do not accept those audits that are already more than a month.
153  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading, ICO, Lending, Bounty. Which one should I do ? on: August 06, 2018, 09:17:02 AM
Although you lose half of your money buying bitcoins on 17k, you earn and regain your loss somehow by investing in ICO and lending. If you have a good amount of capital it is better to go in trading, but be sure that you understand the step by step and keep reading about scam and work in crypto trading. Good luck to yours!

The most enticing to me is trading because I have control as to much I wanted to earn compared to doing bounty or investing in ICO. When you are trading, you have so many coins to choose from and you also have the opportunity to earn from the fluctuation of prices unlike investing wherein you would just hope that the price would be higher than ICO and nowadays usually, upon listing the price just go down.

When you are doing bounty, you are unsure if you will be paid or not but it is the one that you can afford to lose though you wouldn't like that because all of us do not want to waste time. If I would have to choose in order of priority, it would be trading, lending, ICO and then bounty.
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hard times on: August 06, 2018, 01:34:51 AM
Hi all.......need a bit of advice really.

I invested quite a bit of money in a number of ICOs back in December when bitcoin was pretty high and I initially made quite a bit of money but since the bear market started and continued I'm down a few thousand.

I can't bring my self to sell any of my coins due to an attachment I have with them. So it looks like I'm.going to be holding a bit longer.
So you are emotionally attach with your coins which is the reason why you weren't able to sell them for the past seven months then. It seems that the market is coming back so you might as well buy more if you have the funds so that you can average down or you can just sell it and then buy back lower. The mistake you had is that you didn't establish a stop loss which would have prevented a further downfall to the value of your coins.

Any advice on any coins that might be worth day trading to recoup a bit of money back as every coo  I choose to invest in seems only to go one way..

Many thanks
Maybe you can consider sticking to trade those coins that are in the top since they seem to coincide with what bitcoin is doing so you know what will be the reaction of those coins when bitcoin goes up or down. You can also choose to trade those coins that has an upcoming news because those coins most likely will get the attention of traders or investors since news is a big factor in price especially if it's a significant one.
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: do you think Altcoin can last for next 5 years? on: August 06, 2018, 01:13:26 AM
there are some altcoins that has a good roadmap and developers that is surely will last not only 5 years but for a  much longer time, like appcoin and omisego with good projects and partners!

If the coin has good developers and they are following the roadmap then most likely they would be able to push through the project and achieve their goals which would result for the existence of the project for a long time given that their project would be useful. Unfortunately, we can only see a little percentage of those coins that has these types of persistence because some just give up easily that's why the value of their coins just continue to go down.

The good and promising altcoins I think will last for five years or more than like bitcoin it continues to grow more and more.

Even though bitcoin is what they call has ancient kind of technology already because it is the first one, it is still the most famous and valuable one because it has the demand of the people. It would still exist for a long time and may not be gone at all and retain its position if there is a catalyst that would catch investor's eye and it will continue to soar high.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Possible solution for frauds? What do you think? on: August 05, 2018, 09:29:11 AM
-  The amount that can be used during a specific time period, This goes for both ways for investors and the company as one, each one gets his part over the time and not all at once.
-  Voting of the community if to allow the 2nd wave and next waves of funds to be released for the company usage
-  "Not Productive" option as I like to call it, which will be based on the vote of 65% (Always open for other suggestions for this part) of the community that was participating in the first place which will cancel out the whole project and will retrieve the left investment balance back to the investors, and the Tokens back to the company.

I like this idea because it would mean that you cannot blame the team, investors, and bounty hunters for that matter when the price is down upon listing due to the selling of the traders. Being transparent would mean that the team wouldn't be able to defraud the investors since the movement of funds can be seen.

What is needed to be solved?
-  Trust between the ICO's and the Investors of the use of the fundings.
-  Backdoor exit in case that the project is failing
-  Reduction in Pump and Dump due to investors who hold big amounts of the coins

Could be great to hear more opinions and thoughts on the subject Smiley

This would establish the trust in ICOs since there is less trust nowadays to the team due to the non-payment to some investors and some projects do not go well. When there is a voting system then the investors has a say to what will happen to the project.
157  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Common Errors of Trading on: August 05, 2018, 08:46:17 AM
Here are some interesting facts about trading I stumbled across from CryptoCred which I think may be helpful
Common error to avoid when you day trade, I modified some to reflect my own opinion.

1. Revenge trading, trying to get back a trade that has been lost or chasing a trade.

There are times when you bought a coin and then sell too early that's why you bought again when it already has a high price so you end up sometimes holding the coin because it already went down when you bought. You should have been in profit if you just let it go.

2. Never using a Stop

This is the most common mistakes of traders especially in bear market when the price just continue to go down until such time the value already lost more than half and then you will think of selling it then. If you have a stop when you just lost 10% then it should have been better.

3. Not having a plan (Risk/Entry/Exit/Stop)

One should always have a trading plan upon buying a coin. The problem is that when you get emotional, you just buy or sell a coin immediately without thinking of a target price and most likely end up at a loss being too greedy.
158  Economy / Economics / Re: How did Crypto help you out? on: August 05, 2018, 08:29:38 AM
This question is especially for those who have been into crypto for a long time. How did cryptocurrency help you, most specifically financially? Did you earn more? Gain more investment?

Even though I was scammed at first when I am just new to cryptocurrency, I have earned more than I was scammed so I am thankful that I have known cryptocurrency because it has been a great help and it still is up to now. There are times when I am out of cash so I would just exchange some coins and convert it to fiat.

I do have a friend who wants to get into crypto but he does not have a lot of savings in his bank account or any major investment. I told him to save more before getting into crypto because they still have mortgage and car loan to pay. Do you think crypto will help him out to?

Yes, it would be a big help. It is not necessary for him to invest money in it. He just need to invest more time and effort to earn through campaigns perhaps so that he can earn coins and then use it to invest in other coins. There are so many opportunities in this forum alone. If he has other skills then he can offer it too in exchange of coins.
159  Economy / Speculation / Re: CAN BITCOIN EVER PASS THE LAST ATH? on: August 03, 2018, 01:19:52 AM
With the current bear market I'm sceptical of the bulls ever coming to take charge of the crypto space. Late 2017 was great for all crypto enthusiast.

It seems that you are losing hope for this market. There is still a chance that bitcoin would be able to surpass its all-time high because there are still many events that the cryptocurrency enthusiasts are anticipating. Bitcoin always surprise and when the time comes that many people are getting discourage about the market then it would be the time when the price would be slowly creeping up.

do you see anything changed about bitcoin? of course not.
bitcoin is still the same decentralized currency that has no match in the world and it still also has the same limited supply while its demand is increasing.
there is no way to prevent the price of this permissionless currency from rising back up! you can always delay it and cause dips in short term but in the long term the market always wins.

Speaking of dips, a dip is happening now but then the buyers are slowly appearing and if you are still uncertain if it's the right time to buy then think of it for the long term. As what you say, many people are getting expose to crypto and with the same supply and increasing demand, price would eventually go up and surpass all-time high.
160  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-07-30] Bitmain Had $1.1 Billion in Profits in Q1 on: August 03, 2018, 01:03:32 AM
From the article: "Bitmain, which designs application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) chips and manufacturers cryptocurrency miners, has reportedly made $1.1 billion in profits in the first quarter of 2018 alone.

According to a recent report by Fortune that cites a term sheet for the company’s upcoming IPO obtained from insiders, Bitmain currently claims a 50% net margin and has conservative estimates of $2 to $3 billion for its full-year profit.

Well, they have seen the opportunity and they seize it. Cryptocurrency is a growing market that's why an opportunity if creating something that is needed is an ideal business. Just as what others say, "Strike while the iron is hot." Later on, maybe ASICs wouldn't be not that in demand as it is now so I am pretty sure, they would take this opportunity again to have a product that would be in demand.

Cryptocurrency-related businesses is in nowadays and has astounding earnings that's why there are many ICOs now attempting to earn from this current trend but only a few of them succeed because there are so many of them already. Sadly, there are scammers as well that is taking this opportunity and they are the one destroying the image of cryptocurrency.
