601  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: New to mining and have some questions on: April 08, 2015, 10:43:39 PM
Hello,

Thanks for all the info. I believe it is the pool that I'm mining at.

Are there good mining sites that I can mine?

Thanks.

A lot of these are old.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Comparison_of_mining_pools

I suggest Eligius, Wizkid is a great dev and I've always enjoyed that pool.
602  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Drillbit Avalon16 Setup and Restore on: April 08, 2015, 10:36:55 PM
Hi guys. Does anyone know how to get the drillbit avalon16 boards out of bootloader? or restored to factory default? My led was on but i pressed the button on the board and its gone out. Im assuming its gone into bootloader mode. Drillbits site has no information at all and i cant get through to them via email. Any information, documentation, instructions or firmware executables would be greatly appreciated Smiley When i plugged it in before the led went out it was detected as av16 now its detected as ATSAM USB to serial converter Sad

When you reset the board what does it do?

The LED just stays off? Do you attempt to mine with it?

Thanks.

Interested in both your dead bitfury board and your 5 chip gridseeds.

I know zero about what they are worth. Just buying them to take them apart and learn more about their design.

Thanks.

610  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners Paybase Paycoin unofficial uncensored discussion.ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 03, 2015, 04:31:32 PM
I'm sure you have already laughed about this, but I'm catching up.

So they already are telling the customers that they will never give any coins back

Just like hashlets never expire or become obsolete  Cheesy
But you know that Mineral is really something that is possible really, in theory at least. Running a secure and trusted exchange market is a bit different than constantly keeping  hashpower needed to mine effectively on par with user demands after all.

I believe the problem lies in who consumers are putting their trust in when it comes to exchanges. Especially in this case.

I have an Antiminer U3 that just stopped hashing last week after only 3 weeks of operation, might be perfect for your project (it's <50gh at factory volt/freq).  When you plug in power the fan fires up, when you plug in the USB the USB power led comes on, when you start CGminer the mining led flashed on a few times, but then stays dark.  The mining LED should come on and stay on, but it doesn't and cgminer never even recognizes that a device has been plugged in (but it will give an error when you unplug it, which I find strange).

I was going to send it to Bitmain to see if they could repair it, but I'd rather give an independent guy a shot at it.  Let me know what you think, I could sell it to you as is and then buy it back from you if you're able to fix it.

If you want to ship this item to me I will pay the return shipping once it is fixed - if I can't fix it then I'll buy it from you.

Let me know if that sounds reasonable. I wasn't originally looking at a repair service but it's a fun idea.

Sounds good to me, pm me your shipping address and I'll drop it in the mail.  Cool

Done. Phillip and helipotte let me know what you'd like for your units.

Thanks all.

Do you have a price you're looking for? I'm interested in fixing it but not in keeping it to mine with.

615  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Outdated Miners for Research on: April 02, 2015, 06:29:30 PM
I could sell you 2 better quality usb sticks.

an ice fury uses a single bitfury chip and a dual fury uses 2 bit fury sticks.  I am usa based.

I run them with bfg miner 4.4

the 1 chip clocks from 1.5 to 2.1

the 2 chip clocks from 3 to 3.8

they fit in a small flat rate

-pics removed-

How much are you looking for? I feel like they aren't worth much but they would be fun to tinker with.
616  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Outdated Miners for Research on: April 02, 2015, 03:38:19 PM
I got a old hashfast asic board that is mostly barebones so just the chip and board. I am not even sure if it works anymore.

This is the one you wanted $50 for right? I couldn't justify that price right now.
617  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Outdated Miners for Research on: April 02, 2015, 03:37:29 PM
I have some 10Gh Asicminer blades.  They are version 2.  Also have some BFL jalapenos that hash at 8-9Gh.  Bitfury stuff too.  The Black arrow boards.

These are more along the lines of what I'm looking for. Are you willing to let go of all of them?
618  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Came across 20+ miners, help? on: April 01, 2015, 08:18:49 PM
I'd like to get/buy one for the sake of research.

I have a hex4m I'm itching to get rid of. It actually runs at 400GH, but I won't charge anything ridiculous for it because of its low efficiency (1w/gh). I don't have the top heatsinks (those guys fetch a pretty penny). I'm looking for $20 + shipping.

As well, I've got a few 333Mh/s block erupters, a Klondike (although I'm a little partial to it, and it has no fan), and a couple of antminer s1 hashing boards (no controller). Let me know if you're interested in any of it.

The Klondike was such an interesting piece of equipment - do you have a price you're looking for on that? If so, I may be interested in buying them all as a set.

I already have an S1 to begin looking at after my current project but it isn't quite the hardware I'm interested in. I'll update the above.
