603  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 08, 2016, 09:17:15 AM

all of cryptocurrency is shitcoin..? bitcoin too..?  Roll Eyes
etherum is altcoin but the technology behind it is good, it's diffirent with paycoin.

Databases are great, you can embed them everywhere like within your browser for quick access to local data. Big databases need big storage. Facebook needs lots of servers and the data is replicated at least twice so there is no single point of failure.

The so-called massive feature of Etherum is you can stick data in the blockchain and then everyone has a copy of it so you have built in reliability. Of course if you make a change to the database, you have to write the whole thing back again to the blockchain. The original still exists but you now have a new copy and the old copy will sit there forever, not being used by anyone, but anyone that uses the blockchain has to download and verify this useless data. If this so called great feature too off then the blockchain would become supper massive super quick and would inevitably lead to Etherum's death as the block chain grows exponentially.

So the great feature of Etherum is it has this great api that if people actually used will kill the coin.

The other thing I keep hearing is how banks are interested in using this. Well yes they are but banks just want to make sure that there own ledgers are secure and they would probably do that by having their own type of blockchain computing keys for subsets of data to ensure that the data hasn't been changed. This does not mean that banks want to use ethereum/bitcoin or other crap. It means they just want to use bits that they might re-purpose for their own uses.

Every coin seems to need a genuine reason to convince people that they need to invest in it. (Invest=pay money to developers/scammers).
Paycoin=guaranteed floor
Etherum=Apps in the blockchain bullshit
Ionomy=Gaming currency. (Another currency targeted at a certain market. If I go shopping I don't want to pay for beer with one currency, meat in another, etc etc)

tl:dr; If you believe in etherum or any altcoin you've been conned Muggles

Real question is does btc have a future? And if you've ever invested in an altcoin you don't deserve to have a view on this.
604  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 07, 2016, 08:47:05 PM

Seems to be a massive sell off going on.

Nearly down 50% in 24 hours.

Price is getting close to 1 cent.

608  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 07, 2016, 09:20:28 AM

That question was jut asked...wonder how they will skate around this...

A burn address was requested...

I reckon they'll say they'll burn them all at the end.

Or soon.

Can't believe we are so un-trusting.
609  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 07, 2016, 07:58:15 AM
they're supposed to burn the XPYs they exchange to ION.

Well I reckon if someone could trace xpy on the blockchain you might find it going round in circles at the moment. If they were burning them would they not do this publicly?

610  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 06, 2016, 11:30:16 PM

So team xpy or whatever are now saying they're giving up on xpy and going to concentrate on their new coin, ion.

Ion is going through a public offering for the next 6 weeks, starting at 20 cents and rising a cent a week, gota get in quick or pay more next week lol.

Anyway, cos ion people are so lovingly kind they are going to let you convert as much xpy as you want to Ion at a fixed rate of 8 to 1. Since this processes has started xpy is being sold of big time and we have seen new lows today and yesterday.

Is it
a) people losing faith in xpy and are selling. I doubt it cos they've had ages to do it.
b) people are converting xpy to ion. Since xpy is now at 1.65 cents then converting 8 for 1 ion means you are paying 13 cents for 1 ion which looks very cheap compared to buying at 20 cents. Hell, nothing to stop you buying xpy and then converting to ion and making a killing right???

I think the latter is very much happening, look at the volume being bought and sold last few days, def lots of activity.

Looks like lots of people swapping xpy for ion, but the scammers running ion are then selling this xpy to get btc/usd. What a great way to get hold of xpy and maintain a market for it cos people are enticed to buy xpy still cos they can exchange it for ion which must be worth almost double cos it will cost 25 cents in 6 weeks lol.

Anyone see what a great idea these scam monkeys have come up with.

Oh, and if you need any further convincing then perhaps you'll be interested to know MrCoins says it has unlimited potential. Say no more!
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: April 04, 2016, 10:13:43 PM
You are misinformed. Ethereum is not an Altcoin, it is new blockchain tech that is far different from bitcoin and for a different use. Bitcoin is a store of value. Ether is the fuel to run the ethereum network.

Microsoft is heavily involved in Ethereum.

http://www.zdnet.com/article/microsoft-solidifies-its-blockchain-as-a-service-work-with-new-banking-partnership/

Invest in Ether and long hold for at least 1 year.

Ethereum has a potencial to growth but its still an altcoin and better to dont invest more than you can afford to lose..
If you are a trader you can try buy some and use it for trading purposes so that you can watchout for the price..

....if you wanted evidence that this coin is being pumped than this is it.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft been adding lots of alts to Azure. What exactly they do with them? on: March 24, 2016, 11:12:00 PM
Microsoft doesn't add coins to Azure. Azure is a collection of cloud services that you can buy from Microsoft. You can buy disk space, virtual servers, databases etc etc. You could also buy similar products from Amazon, rackspace, google etc etc etc etc.

To use any of these cloud services like azure/amazon/etc you just need to provide a credit card no.

This does not mean that your hyped up altcoin is promoted by the company that is being paid for what is in effect a virtual pc.

Of course, there are a lot of shifty altcoins out there that say that Microsoft most be supporting them as they are on Azure. You're too smart to fall for that though aren't you?

613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Auroracoin Webwallet released! on: March 22, 2016, 10:27:56 PM

Remember, buy before everyone else, sell before everyone else.

Great advice.

Two years too late.

My dog turd is worth more than your cat shit.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: paypal or bitcoin? on: January 30, 2016, 05:51:10 PM
Why not use a credit card?

If the company you buy from turns out to be a crook or goes bust you can get a refund.

But if the company is a scam they will only take bitcoins so maybe I can see why everybody wants to use it.
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Absolutely nothing backs Fiat paper its completely worthless on: January 24, 2016, 04:51:37 PM

1. if you wash away your love of the american dollar.. and think about the third world countries.. your mindset will shift and not be so biased and obvious that your a Yank

British old chap. Can't be bothered to discuss with someone who makes assumptions rather than use logic. Going down the pub for a late Sunday lunch. Cheerio.

617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Absolutely nothing backs Fiat paper its completely worthless on: January 24, 2016, 12:06:19 AM

Well, at one point and time autos were in the same boat. 100% of the population traveled by horse and buggy. There were no gas stations, and roads weren't equipment for gasoline powered motorcars.

Fiat isn't worthless yet, but that is the direction. Once the people of this planet (and I use that term loosely) awaken to the Ponzi scheme being perpetrated by the central bank, they won't want US Dollars, Euro, or Yen. The people will demand cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.

These new digital currencies will grow to become more popular and more important than the internet. You are in the right place, at the right time, to witness the liberation of mankind from its chains of fiat bondage.

1. If I have to pay my mortgage, taxes, food bills in dollars I will want dollars. If I'm also being paid in dollars then why the hell would I want to convert my hard earned cash into an intermediary and take a hit on commission fees?

2. If you think your, or any, government will let Bitcoin replace it's own currency then you are delusional. It will never, ever, ever happen.

3. I accept that you may make money by investing (gambling) in Bitcoin, but if you want to protect yourself from a financial collapse you should buy something like gold instead. Should the worse thing happen you will have something shiny for your efforts.

618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal is growing faster than Bitcoin on: January 23, 2016, 11:30:18 PM
Summary for those of you who haven't worked it out yet.

You know thats BS right, you completely dismiss the amount of gambling industry, video games, remittance, online services, investments, etc..

Basically there are much more things for what bitcoin can be used, so dont be too negative on bitcoin.

Just because you can push a brick along the floor with your nose does not make it the quickest way to move it from place to place.

619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal is growing faster than Bitcoin on: January 23, 2016, 11:23:12 PM

620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Absolutely nothing backs Fiat paper its completely worthless on: January 23, 2016, 11:15:06 PM
So, let me see if I have understood this correctly.

On the one side we have fiat currency, backed up by your government, maybe backed up by other countries, possibly the IMF too. Used by 100% of the population of your country and probably many that aren't.

On the other side we have Bitcoin, backed up by nobody and used by less than 1/1000th of the population of any country. Mainly used by criminals and ohh, most people seem to only care what it's worth against the dollar, which I'm sure means that most users seem to only care about making money in a fiat currency?

And yet you say fiat paper is worthless?
