We have had the updates in place. We are ready to get the fix on the main chain rolling and hence the new wallet.
v1.4.4
The follow changes were made with hard forks scheduled to take effect:
0. Sync checkpoint & master server: currently rebuilding blockchain 1. PoW & PoS checking starting at 1481500 (around this Friday night EST) 2. Difficulty adjustment starting at 1482000 (around this Saturday morning EST) 3. Protocol version: 71062, prior version to 71062 shall be disconnected 4. End maintenance mode height: 1481500 (PoW / PoS block reward back to normal)
We'll make the full list of binaries release Thursday night.
Pls shutdown the test wallet.
Pls make sure you're running v1.4.3.1 at this moment (http://coinmagi.org/bin/m-wallet-1.4.3.1/). Great work Joe. Looks like new releases will come at Magi's third birthday!! 🎂😁

any idea when bittrex wallet will go online?
i recon not until 1.4.3 is out or when Joe and dev team contacts bitrex and finally give the ok signal. Correct! Think it will be soon!

I'm curious why we didn't use testnet for testing?
Hmm don't know that. Btw whats happening with BTC? Huge drop!!! Maybe this one: BREAKING: JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon says bitcoin "is a fraud" that will eventually blow up Hmm that might be a reason. Might be tactics to drop the value and buy some cheap.

Hi! My first try here: Is there any Exchange where I can trade XMG? All those I tested either do not list it anymore (eg Poloniex) or do not let me create an adress I need (Novaexchange, Bittrex, Cryptopia)... Without having the option to trade, it is almost useless to mine anymore... Any ideas? Thanks a lot! Welcome in our friendly Magi community. Magi team requested the exchanges to put XMG wallets on maintenance mode until release of new wallets. At the moment it looks like they (new wallets) are coming very soon. Keep eyes here on the thread or other forums/social media. Lol Edward0181 your respons was faster! 😃

I understand and appreciate the idea behind XMG and I don't see how you interpret what you just quoted to mean that a person will be protected from a losing day of mining, which is the comment of mine you were responding to. What you quoted says that there will attempt to be a more fair distribution of coins regardless or hash-rate. edit: which i think is a good idea!
Anyone that has mined XMG, or any other cryptocurrency for that matter, can understand immediately that trying to guarantee such a thing as protection from a day of lost mining is completely impossible and misleading. Right up there with promising a certain amount of overall return. Thankfully, I have never seen anyone actually promise a miner such a thing and after following this thread for 3 years this is the first time i have even seen someone imply that they should have such protection.
Anyway I support XMG still and into the future. But we cannot have miners thinking they are somehow protected form losses while mining XMG, that is totally disingenuous.
Thanks Jookly for your words. Appriciate your support!

too much uncertainty about this coin. there always an enigma every few days with no explanation whatsoever and 1 person running the coin...
Sorry amigo but i don't agree with that. Please read the latest posts from Joelao95 than you know when & what will come.

are there any changes with this coin? or maybe minerclaim been mining at minerclaim for sometime now and always have around 10 unconfirmed. now it is barely reaching 1! Same hashrate
I've noticed the very same thing mining on m-hash. It appears to be prevalent across multiple pools. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can shed a bit of light on this. At this rate, I'd be losing money mining on my vps's. Some info about the unique reward system http://arxiv.org/pdf/1409.7948v1 & https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg9991269#msg9991269

Main net update: Updated the main source code (v1.4.3.1): 1) fix sync issue 2) protocol ver 71062 https://github.com/magi-project/magiProtocol ver 71062 will get us to where once we get on the latest revisions, we'll disconnect all prior versions. Pls update to this version. I'm compiling binaries and will post links once available. Here are binaries for v1.4.3.1: http://coinmagi.org/bin/m-wallet-1.4.3.1/The plan of merging fixes, that is v1.4.4: 1) Get another test wallet tomorrow 2) On Wednesday, 9/13, v1.4.4 source code finalizing; depending on how much time to compile the complete set of binaries as well as documentation, we might be able to make post until 9/14 The difficulty adjustment gets little tricky since we're disturbing the way blocks are accepted by enforcing block checking. The thing is that what happens to PoW difficulty that is adjusted based on block time will make corresponding influence on the block value, that's the center of the question. Bumped this one for the info!

I think is better for me to wait until the final version of binaries are released. Once this is done, trading will resume also?
Trading is still possible : https://www.bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-XMGYou can buy and sell as much as you want, you only cannot deposit or withdraw. But trading works very well. Yes indeed. Magi team will request the exchanges to update wallets after new release. After that all things should work fine again.

Looks like the tests are almost finished. If i read the posts correct wallet is working good. Pls give Joe feedback about what worked good & what did not or worked after adding some things. Thanks guys!
Nothing to complain. Pow did work and have read post is doing okay as well. Perhaps an idea to put number of confirmation back to 120? Believe that was done to avoid forking and still it did fork on last time. Thank you Edward0181 appriciate your respons!

I have put a test chain on node 45.35.251.73. This is only for test; mining won't be valid:
Download the wallet and blockchain from the following:
http://coinmagi.org/bin/test/ (I'm away from my compiling setup so only 64bit binaries are available at the moment)
source: https://github.com/magi-project/magi/tree/v1.4.3-test
* v1.4.3.1 * v1.4.3.2 Updated protocol version so that prior version will be disconnected"version" : "v1.4.3.2" "protocolversion" : 71070
Pls help the test (PoW & PoS mining). We'd see if this test comes out without forks.
The chain will proceed when PoS and PoW both are mined or in a pace of about 15minutes when block conditions aren't met. If you have coins in the official chain, you might be able to use that on the test chain for PoS minting (make sure backup wallet.dat).
Node: Prior versions will be disconnected by using v1.4.3.2. If you can't sync with the new wallet, re-download blockchain. addnode=45.35.251.73 is recommended for the new version. Gunka check this post from dev Joe pls

All other wallets / nodes are on correct version ;-)
Just want to help and test, but I see other peers on much higher startheight, and my wallet just doesn't go higher.
Great to see people helping out Joe with testing. Good work Edward0181

15 sept 2017 Magi will become 3 years old. If all tests are finished (they are looking good at this moment) it might be a good date to launch the improvements & ask the exchanges for update the wallets and continue with the futute of Magi. Its just an idea. Reminder even BTC start growing bigger after 3 years! Awesome stuff - Happy Birthday Magi - lets see what this year has in store for us - I'm feeling optimistic despite the recent growing pains Btw Goldlabel thanks for the cool picture! (Again) 😉
