601  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who will win WW3? on: November 30, 2015, 06:44:08 PM
I don't think there will be a third world war. People were taught so much by the previous ones that they will try to avoid an all out conflict and rather choose commando hits assassinations and manipulation.
The only war I see in the future is the muslim world vs the rest.
602  Other / Off-topic / Re: MCdonalds or Burger King? on: November 30, 2015, 06:20:15 PM
I don't eat at any of these. Prefer to make a burger myself, at least I'll know what's in it.
603  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia Bans Imports Of Turkish Produce on: November 30, 2015, 06:06:22 PM
That's normal. Turkey attacked Russia, so there's no reason to continue the exchange of goods.
604  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: November 30, 2015, 05:55:19 PM
Yes' you should believe. Read about Bitcoin for a while and you'll know it's a revolutionary money transfer method. I'm not even talking about all those libertarian aspects and anonymity, but it's great just as a tool allowing people to quickly send money to another country with no fees.

606  Other / Off-topic / Re: How long have you spent on-line today? (Daily Thread) on: November 30, 2015, 05:48:44 PM
The day hasn't ended yet for me but I've been online for 3 hours. I will probably reach 5 before going to bed.  Roll Eyes
607  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Turkey shoots down russian military plane on Syria border on: November 30, 2015, 05:42:12 PM
Yes their versions are completely different. It's possible they didn't go around that small part, but even if they did fly through they were in the Turkish space for less than a minute and obviously trying to fly out of it, not into it. It was enough to wait a few seconds until they cleared out instead of firing at them. There was no risk of an attack and no reason to use lethal force. It's obvious Turks were defending Syria.
Also the crash site is quite far from that "violated space" even in the Turkish version, so the plane was chased and attacked right before or even after it's left Turkish space.

PC:

Faster for the same money.
More efficient and quiet cooling.
More room for customization.
Easier cleaning and repair.
609  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: November 30, 2015, 05:31:01 PM
That's right guys bills and food are the way. People usually forget that small things like turning off  the lights in the rooms you're not using will add up to form a nice sum every year.
Same with your electronics on standby.

STRANGE though it seems, a typical microwave oven consumes more electricity powering its digital clock than it does heating food. For while heating food requires more than 100 times as much power as running the clock, most microwave ovens stand idle—in “standby” mode—more than 99% of the time. And they are not alone: many other devices, such as televisions, DVD players, stereos and computers also spend much of their lives in standby mode, collectively consuming a huge amount of energy. Moves are being made around the world to reduce this unnecessary power consumption, called “standby power”.

610  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is a Bitcoin whale? on: November 30, 2015, 05:24:49 PM
I would say more than 1000 BTC, much more. 1000 is nothing since a daily volume on just 1 exchange like bitfinex is over 50k. To really manipulate the market you'd need at least 5-10k.
611  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: November 30, 2015, 05:19:32 PM
I wouldn't be able to answer this question since i don't really know what the value will be in 20 years.

I think it's hard to say for anyone and i don't anyone has a solid answer for this
yeah we just all sits here and speculate the amount Grin but this might turn out to be correct! who knows Grin it all depends on where you live and how bitcoin's adoption, the halvings, world events affect the price

Very true everyone saying 1 or 2 bitcoins other say 100 bitcoins or more, but actually you can't say it like that.

You don't know what the price well be.

It's not that hard to predict. If Bitcoin doesn't disappear completely its price will be higher than it is at the moment. So your retirement fund will be worth at least $400 per coin or $0.
If you're willing to invest it means you believe in the coin, so the mentioned 0 is not an option to you.

For me just 20 coins would be enough even if the price never goes above $500.
612  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Smoking high-strength cannabis may damage nerve fibres in brain on: November 30, 2015, 05:08:00 PM

Seems off-hand like the kind of research and communications of findings that I feel are appropriate.  Let people know the honest pros and cons and let them make their own decisions.

I personally don't find much to love about some aging boozer who fucked up his/her liver and life with alcohol, or with some aging stoner who cannot focus on something long enough to complete a sentence.  Or, for that matter, someone who's lungs are shot from smoking or who's mouth is torn up from chewing.  All of these activities are ones I've engaged in on occasion.  The legality of each has had next to zero impact on my choices about which to continue.  Reliable information about the effects, on the other hand, are key to the decisions I've made about how much to moderate my use of them.

... Or some idiot who messd up his whole body and life by doing chemotherapy.   Smiley

613  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Turkey shoots down russian military plane on Syria border on: November 30, 2015, 05:04:58 PM
Although I don't like Russian politics Turkey had no right to shoot down their plane. Every time a plane violates another country's air space it's escorted back by jets, but it's not shot at unless the countries are at war. I haven't heard of such war being announced so the attack was unnecessary.

615  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1200 before December 1 on: November 29, 2015, 07:20:34 PM
This is not investment advice, this is speculation and ranting! Don't panic on the way up, and never trade anything for less than you believe is fair.

Anyways, I can see $1,200 before December 1, and there's no ceiling to the exchange rate. I believe the peak price of Bitcoin will be inversely proportional to the degree of negative sentiment among personal investors regarding the manipulations of conventional stock and bond markets. Bitcoin isn't pegged to an exchange rate by decree, rather by fixed supply inflation and generic market demand...

I usually panic on the way down, but that's just me.  Grin

Anyways, I can see $1,200 before December 1, and there's no ceiling to the exchange rate.

It won't happen, there's no way. I just can't see all those hard stock investors suddenly switching to bitcoin. BTC is still considered a joke by many of them.
616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any advantages from gambling? on: November 29, 2015, 07:14:32 PM
I'd say money is the biggest advantage that draws people into gambling. Money you can get for free without any special skills or too much effort. But there's a catch Wink
617  Economy / Exchanges / Re: So coinbase closed my account for gambling... on: November 29, 2015, 07:13:28 PM
Switch to another exchange. Coinbase sucks and there really no reason to support them. Bitcoin is about freedom and coinbase is starting to do what banks and governments were doing with fiat all along.
618  Other / Off-topic / Re: Windows worst version for you? on: November 29, 2015, 07:07:06 PM
Vista
Never used Vista because I heard it wasn't worth switching to, but I have used win 8 and I hate it.
619  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jeremy Corbyn - Your views on Syria on: November 29, 2015, 07:05:16 PM
They should join France and Russia. Isis is a bunch of murderers and sociopaths and should be destroyed.
620  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: November 29, 2015, 05:51:40 PM
Yes definitely it matters to me. I am buying bitcoins with Fiat currency ,so the price of bitcoin matters to me.
Bitcoin is not widely used for transactions as it is not stable enough. When the day comes where all can buy anything and everything for btc the price won't matter.

If the price is too high simply buy a fraction. The price in fiat has no meaning as long as it is more or less stable.
