Zpool will reopen once we release the wallet sync fix. We are just testing our latest build to make sure it holds. Thus far, we have ran more than 12 hours without error but are monitoring it. I don't want to bother ocminer and mph until we have tested this further as they have a lot of other coins to manage. For those of you who urgently want to move your coins, you can drop me a note on Telegram and I can extend test binaries for you to sync up. As for the Zerocoin issues, we already issued a statement. http://zcoin.io/zcoin-hard-fork-statement/We already patched the libzerocoin library and indeed the first coin with Zerocoin to do so, and it's already working on live so that vulnerability is closed and hence why Coinomi kept our wallets up and running. Prior to releasing the update, we did make contact with PIVX's lead dev presstab to tell them to look into our libzerocoin fixes and they are now patching their libzerocoin as well (or may have done so already). We are exploring other opportunities to collaborate with PIVX to make Zerocoin better for everyone. It was also nice to speak to s3v3nhacks more who also made contact. For SmartCash, their code is primarily a fork of our old 0.8 core code and we have reached out to leoreinaux (their dev) with an offer to investigate into issues but we aren't able to spare our resources to rewrite the code for the old core as we are working on our own fixes and Znode development. Our Zerocoin code has changed since the 0.8 fork and currently, it is unclear how the exploit occurred for Smartcash and will take time to look into. We understand Smartcash are already working to move to the new 0.13 core base as well. Since Smartcash have disabled their Zerocoin functionality it isn't very urgent. We will look into it as soon as we are able and we hope that their team can also work on this. Leoreinaux has provided us some info on the problematic transactions in Smartcash so which we will look into to assist to investigate the cause when we can to see if we can all learn from it.

Zcoin hard fork statementWe have now smoothly completed our hard fork which is now active past block 60,000. The hard fork resolves several bugs and also greatly improves the security of Zerocoin through fixes in our implementation and also libzerocoin, the cryptographic library which enables Zerocoin. Prior to the hard fork being completed, there was an exploit that resulted in additional Zerocoin spends being generated. The team detected the problem quickly and deployed mitigating measures which were successful. A further emergency update through v0.13.3.1 completely halted the problem by disabling Zerocoin spends and which will be re-enabled automatically past the hard fork which resolves this issue. The exploit resulted in 17k coins being generated (0.5% of circulating supply or 0.08% of total supply). However the Founders’ rewards will be reduced to maintain total supply at 21.4 million. We would like to thank all the pools and exchanges who were very quick to deploy this fix and thank them for their cooperation. This disclosure could only be made now to prevent further people taking advantage of the exploit until the hard fork rolled over. Our hard fork also marks the release of libzerocoin v2 that is a significant security update to the original libzerocoin library. We recommend all projects using Zerocoin to reach out to us for details on these fixes for those that haven’t done so already. These changes may affect our peers to various degrees and we are happy to help where we can. In a later post, we will cover in further detail the important changes that libzerocoin v2 entails. Our team has worked hard to resolve this issue and we greatly appreciate our passionate community’s support. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us on Discord!https://zcoin.io/zcoin-hard-fork-statement/

Is that system will be available in any part of the world or you will use this in only selective countries?
What system?

as I recall, the decentralized exchange was presented on the roadmap some time ago, but for the future. It didn't seem to be the ultimate priority of the project, more of an aside. That is how I perceived it anyway. just wanted to place a note for the record that I did have some wallet issues a while back.. I got unreasonably upset and stormed off for a moment. Only to return (after being somewhat of a jerk about it) to find resolution from the team. I feel like they actually did care about the issue and it was promptly and efficiently solved. This project has my full support, for the record. All the best everyone Thank you this means a lot. Glad it was all resolved

Not sure why my questions get completely ignored but I try it for a last time: is that decentralized marketplace already being developed or not at all?
We are looking into partnering with existing decentralized market places which seems to be the better course of action.

I downloaded the Windows version from github. Given SHA256 does not match the one I calculated for the wallet?
Isnt that supposed to match?
Calculated SHA 256 : 41CFEAEEFE6092D2A1B1C4812B74D126C9AA75A4F2F1937106D1D56EE3A34F40 Given SHA 256 : c3f1e85df1132a0913e12416e1c41901f3a0949b36b3b34405f08de73b3cee63 OS:Windows OS Exe:zcoin-qt-v0.13.3-win64 Calculator: MD5&SHA Checksum Utilit7 2.1 by Raymond Virustotal calculated: 41cfeaeefe6092d2a1b1c4812b74d126c9aa75a4f2f1937106d1d56ee3a34f40 as well. It is also clean in virustotal and a Kaspersky AV scan tho.
Just noticed the discrepancy. Wanne be sure.
I just calculated. Do it on the downloaded zip file and not the exe. It all matches. We're going to get a software signing certificate as well

Hi, it is good to see the bug that I reported is finally being acknowledged: "Before doing any Zerocoin mints or spend, make sure to do File>Backup your wallet.dat and save in separate location so you can restore in the case a mint/spend does not confirm."
I just checked this thread again because I would like to recover the 50 zcoin that was lost doing a mint zero coin transaction. maybe you remember from some months ago, apologies as I was quite irate at the time. Because I was criticized by the people here instead of receiving help. This (account) message I am replying to told me to go to slack for help, and again I tried to make an account there but for some reason cannot. If it is absolutely necessary I will try again if a current link is provided. It seems like there should be some simple answer for this because I can see in the new software which I just synced with a znode.io blockchain download there is an option to 'rebroadcast the transaction' .. I tried this and it failed. I also reindex the whole thing. As you can see the coins were lost some months ago in July. --------1 Status: 14051 confirmations Date: 7/20/17 13:42 Debit: -50.00000000 XZC Transaction fee: -0.01000000 XZC Net amount: -50.01000000 XZC Transaction ID: fe49fc5a9dd8595b4ed92722ab1e5a98e2b00b0198c17831e863eb96b6e74d63 Output index: 0 --------------------------------------------2 Status: 0/unconfirmed, not in memory pool Date: 7/20/17 16:45 Source: Generated Credit: 50.00000000 XZC Net amount: +50.00000000 XZC Transaction ID: b70404e9d07a13f1816e7ad723c31b04d810c998ff3d6571f737909ab25d7281 Output index: 0 --------------------------------------------3 2017-10-26 19:47:42 ERROR: CTransaction::CheckTransaction() : COIN SPEND TX IN ZQ_PEDERSEN DID NOT VERIFY! 2017-10-26 19:47:42 CheckTransaction() failed!AcceptToMemoryPoolWorker --> FAILED --------
clip 1 is the burned coins that went to the mint zero coin transaction. clip 2 is the return which showed up quite a while later and was never confirmed by the network. clip 3 is the current (console) output from the new software when I did "rebroadcast transaction".
Hi, if you are available for a Teamviewer this would be the fastest way. PM me or just Telegram me @reubster and I'll attend to it immediately.

you deleted my post, lol. Thats says a lot about you and your shitcoin. Scammer !
Baseless accusations will be deleted. All your post said was that you felt that the reward was too high and that we are therefore a scammer. Even though it has been disclosed from the very first day and my explanation above still deals with it. Will continue to do this to combat FUD.

A quick update on MTP. We have just heard back from Dmitry and Alexy and they're still working on their revised MTP paper.
They have reviewed Fabien and Marc's papers and have some suggested solutions to it and given some preliminary feedback and discussions on it.
The proposed changes are thankfully not too radical and doesn't involve massive rewrites of MTP. They mainly revolve around: a) Choosing the right parameters for L and T (The choice of L and T determines the maximum adversary advantage AT_alpha in the time-area product, whereas L also determines the proof size. ) b) Having Argon2 with 1 lane only. (as proposed by Marc Bevand) c) The main area that they are looking at is optimizing the proof sizes of MTP 10 fold by using modifications of Argon2 with smaller block sizes.
They are however very busy and we are exploring ways in which we can collaborate to accelerate this development and the new paper.

Znodes: Working code base is done. Work in progress. Mining pools: Good progress on P2Pool. Ethereum Mixer: Completely independent dev on this that doesn't affect main dev.
What's wrong with the wallet? Have you used it recently since the latest update?

There will be 21 million Zcoins. Zcoin follows the same halving cycle as Bitcoin (every 4 years). 10% of the total Zcoin supply will be distributed to the Founders Reward as time passes. In the first 4 years, 20% of Zcoins will be distributed to the Founders Reward. In other words, during the first 4 years, 40 Zcoins will go to the miners and 10 Zcoins will go towards the Founders reward. After the first 4 years, the block reward goes completely towards the miners.
If I mine this coin, the 20% coin will go to founder's account, this just like a scam.
A scam is one that is cheating people into something that it is not. We have been very clear with our source of funds as always mentioned in our FAQs. Zcash follows the same reward mechanism. 20% of the coin in the first 4 years is equivalent to 10% of total eventual supply. https://z.cash/blog/funding.htmlTo begin Zcoin, we needed investor funding and we found people who believed in our project who were willing to fund us when Zcoin was just some proof of concept code. They are now reaping the rewards as 'founders'. Poramin holds one of the founder's wallet and another wallet is dedicated to funding the project including the team's salary and marketing efforts. This to me is nothing wrong with it. You can even inspect the code to see how the funds are distributed. There are 3 investor wallets, 1 Poramin wallet and 1 team bounty wallet. In this way we don't have to worry about 'instamine' or manipulation techniques and just focus on developing the project the best we can.
