Dev, You say MTP will be launched in March , 2017 so now it's in March but I can not see anything about this algo.
is this algo delayed again? I hope this MTP is still on schedule.
you should be patient, guy. it will be completed at the late March, 2017 as said before and now it's in early March. We have more 28 days to catch this algo. Is XZC going to be switched to a new algo? Why is that? Whoever is in charge for XZC developments he/she must implement a merged mining. To help u start off right I will invent an algo called synthhash and send u a pull request when everything is settled down. I have announced that MTP is on schedule. It is still on track to be released on testnet by end of March 2017. It's even detailed in our blog ( https://zcoin.io/language/en/zcoin-mtp-development-still-on-track/) and also announced in this thread and our Twitter/Facebook. As for why we are switching to a new algorithm, since we launched this coin, MTP has always been an important piece of our development. Any news on nvidia miners? Still all pools dont show what the miner shows? and difference is huge. Where is the rest of the hash going??
There are Nvidia miners out. My 1080 gets about 1700kh what does the pool register from that 1700? is the miner you run djm's? or private? Around the same. I mine on MPH. I use djm's public released miner. There's so much talk on the 'private miner' but I don't even know if it exists though @wolf0 might have some. I can confirm that those of us in the dev team aren't using anything besides the publicly available miners. djm also released his optimized sgminer for AMD cards for free. |

whats differences of zcoin vs zclassic? Thanks
Zclassic is a almost an exact fork of Zcash (different project). It's the same tech as Zcash but they dumped the founder's reward I believe. Zcash uses Zerocash protocol. Zcoin uses Zerocoin protocol and isn't a fork of any coin (though there are forks of Zcoin like Zoin and zcoin classic). There is no relation between the Zcoin and Zcash teams though the many of the guys working in Zcash now wrote the original paper on Zerocoin (the protocol that Zcoin uses). Both use zero knowledge proofs but different underlying cryptography. Zcash seeks to bring down proof sizes and greater anonymity in exchange for using less tested cryptography, more computational requirements and an unauditable supply. Zcoin uses more established cryptography and is computationally less intensive than Zcash with a fully auditable supply but has larger proof sizes. Both has its pros and cons and despite differing views, we think that both techs are pretty awesome. Once we implement MTP, it is also our view that it will be a superior PoW algorithm to Equihash. In fact MTP was created to address the shortcomings of Equihash. That was before, now i have the 8.7.7 and still having the same problem. I can't run that command in the terminal, no such file or directory it says.
If you would like for me to Teamviewer you I can assist you with this but you need to change directory to your Applications folder before you run that command. In Terminal try /Applications/zcoin-qt -reindex PM me if you want to arrange a Teamviewer or e-mail reuben@zcoin.io if you're still having problems. "/Applications/zcoin-qt -reindex" Same , no such file or directory. I prefer if you help me from here or pm, it's easier for me, TeamViewer is too delicate. First of all I'm assuming you pulled zcoin-qt into your applications folder yes? Open terminal type cd /Applications then type ls it should show zcoin-qt in there Then you can type zcoin-qt -reindex If it's not there you probably didn't install zcoin-qt the right way (which is to just open the dmg and then drag the app into the Applications folder which is already prompted when you open the dmg). Yes, i drag Zcoin app from the DMG to the applications folders, when i type "ls" i can see zcoin there is called zcoin-qt.app but then after that when i type "zcoin-qt -reindex" it says command not found. ./zcoin-qt -reindex Does this work? |

What is Poramin doing with all the Zcoin he is collecting from Zcoins 20% share of mining?
Is he hiring any developers?
Poramin is only collecting 4% of the mining. Currently the Founder's Reward is 20% of the block reward with 5 different wallets. 3 investors (of which 2 are initial investors and mostly absorbed by Gary) 1 is the bounty wallet (used to fund the team and other efforts such as djm34) 1 is Poramin's own wallet. All these addresses are public in the code and previously mentioned as well. The new investor has given us enough to definitely fund development for more than a year. Aizensou is another full time dev of ours and Poramin has hired a few programmers under him to help him as well which is why MTP is progressing smoothly despite recent challenges. djm34 is also being engaged to develop the MTP miners so we will have decent public miners when MTP releases. As the price of Zcoin rises, we would have more to work with on the bounty wallet. At the time of writing our price we've already recovered to near the $2.00 mark. you mean still there are two wallets kept by gary? No the wallets are not with Gary. He holds no founder wallets now. |

b) MTP release and miner development
c) resolving any remaining sync issues
and also figuring out what to do on the additional supply.

Have dropped them a note to see what issues they are having. I already delete the entire Zcoin folder, uninstall it completly with app cleaner, re-install the wallet again, still is stuck at like 4% of sync. Your wallet simply doesn't work at least in a mac computer. Infite waiting sychronization of the network. I don't know what else to do DEV, i want to get my coins out of bittrex ASAP. What version of Mac please? If it's 10.9 you might have some issues but it works with the later versions it's okay. I have the latest MAC version 10.12.3 and latest Zcoin wallet version. In your PM you mentioned that you were on v0.8.7.2 which is not the latest version (ours is v0.8.7.7). If you went to the wrong site zcoin.tech that's the version you will get. zcoin.io is the correct site along with the correct Slack address. Thought I had replied to your PM already. |

In what category coin promotes itself? 2, What new features this coin creates? How is it unique? 3, Are promises kept by devs? 4, Are features on roadmap delivered regularly? 5, What is overall state of development? 6, Can I find somewhere number of daily transactions? The first post should shed some light. We are the first open source Zerocoin implementation. Watch the video to see how it differs from other previous anonymity methods. The roadmap is in a state of flux especially with the recent issues but we are on track for MTP PoW algorithm which was our main promise. We are also exploring Znodes but are evaluating the best way to do this and whether we can offload Zerocoin computations on it. All of it can be read in our blog.
